Arriving to the cafe we were greeted from the moment we walked in and got seated fairly quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside where they played some oldies, which was a plus because I loved the music of choice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was pretty good, the potatoes could use more flavor but overall the food was tasteful. The only complaint I have would be the 3.5% charge to use a card, so definitely will bring cash next time and no refills of drinks. They served bottle of waters and cans of sodas. Idk if that's a regular thing or if they don't have a soda machine, but that would be my only complaint from this place. Will come back again to try different foods on the menu.

My daughter and I found this place looking for breakfast. Definitely different didn't expect a themed cafe but it was cool. Especially if you're into this sort of genre. Lots of movie vibes great murals though out the restaurant We were greeted right away by a gentleman and sat inside wasn't to busy Gave us the menu we ordered our drinks Looked over everything and decided what we would have I got the vegetables omelette added avocado portion was a good size and my daughter got the chilaquiles burrito it was on the smaller side, Food was good service was good was a bit expensive but I would recommend this place for breakfast.

Came with my boyfriend and it was our first time at George's Cafe. The entire meal and coffee were delicious! Our server was very friendly and attentive with us. She allowed us to stay a little longer because of the World Cup Game. (Big Thank You!!) An experience I won't forget, my compliments to the chef as well!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance and culture were also a pleasant touch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will be back soon!! Thank you!!!

    Welcome to GEORGE's CAFÉ.

George's Cafe is a local hotspot eatery that offer foodies traditional meals (breakfast/brunch) in a cozy and welcoming dining experience. It's located on a tiny plaza at 522 E Vine Ave in West Covina. Customers have an option of seating in their rear outdoor patio with street view as well as indoor. Throughout the cafe's interior decor you'll see some iconic cultural figures and the beautiful Virgen de Guadalupe. Their menu has a wide variety of breakfast (American & Mexican) items. I came early morning and ordered a Cafe de Olla and a Veggie Omelette. Both were just okay-typical coffee and breakfast. Service was mildly slow because they only have 1 male server working in that morning. And customer started to pour in at 08:45 am. I can see he's struggling taking orders. I almost wanted to assist the male server and start taking customers' orders and inquiries. lol. Atmosphere was good. Prices were fair that reflects the quality and quantity of the food or drinks offered. Staff were competent and affable. Overall, this cafe is modest that offers a Mexican home cooked meal. I think there are area in their business that can be improved.

Wrong advertisement. I've order chicken and waffle and got sausage and waffle. Seriously?? This is not right. I didn't even like the taste because I was expecting chicken.

George's Cafe in West Covina deserves every bit of five stars! The inside has such a throwback to 80-90s homie style, welcoming vibe, but it's also really beautiful and cozy at the same time. I ordered the waffle country fried steak and it was incredibly soft, tender, and comforting--perfectly cooked and easy to eat. The potatoes were exactly how breakfast potatoes should be: crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The French toast was also amazing--golden, flavorful, and perfectly indulgent. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to! The service was great super friendly.

Found Georges cafe while on my morning dog walk. I was greeted by the server and she took me out to the patio to find a table. Many good selections on the menu for breakfast and i opted for the weekday special of sausage breakfast tacos. It comes with 3 scrambled egg and sausage tacos and a side of green chili salsa for 10.95 . It was just the right size and tasted great! I also ordered a coffee, but unfortunately it was luke warm, even when she topped it off. Service was fantastic! I got my tacos within 5 minutes of order. The walls are airbrushed with colorful Latino culture artwork. I'll come back to try more of the menu.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing atmosphere, super interesting theme all from a local artist.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got here early on a Wednesday and talked with George about the art and his long experience in the food industry. He was kind and showed us around. The food showed up after we were done touring the art inside and outside of the restaurant. It was amazing. I lived in San Diego for a while and moved to Texas. I've missed the breakfast burritos so much, our tacos are no competition unfortunately. His breakfast burrito was amazing. My wife had the Greek omelette and it was delicious. I highly recommend checking them out and supporting their business if you have the opportunity.

My family and I had breakfast here for our first time with my mentor it was a lovely and whole experience-- the waitress was so honest and kind with the recommendations. The food was dank; I ordered the menudo and Benedict. I appreciate the environment and the hospitality! It's worth the try and wait! Thank you, we will be back here

El Mero, Mero Burrito is the best I've ever had ever ever!!! Super delicious. The Breakfast Croissant was so fresh!, The purple onion gave it so much flavor. It was so good! And filling! The service was pleasant the restaurant vibe its like you time travel back to the 70's chicano! I will most definitely be telling everyone I know about this place! God bless them!

We ordered the Chicken Alfredo, Chipotle Chicken Pasta, pizza, and salad, and every single dish was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the Chicken Alfredo was the standout. The sauce was incredibly rich, creamy, and full of flavor--honestly, I enjoyed it even more than Olive Garden's Alfredo! The atmosphere was another pleasant surprise. While the outside of the restaurant may not immediately catch your attention, don't let that fool you. The inside is beautifully decorated, cozy, and full of charm. It's a smaller restaurant, which made it feel welcoming and comfortable. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. We also loved watching the soccer game on the big screen while enjoying our meal. My only suggestion would be to give a little more attention to the restrooms. They could be cleaned more frequently, and making sure hand soap is always stocked would really enhance the overall experience. Overall, the amazing food, welcoming service, cozy atmosphere, and great portions make this restaurant an easy recommendation. We'll definitely be making the trip back to La Puente again!

The place was tucked in between small businesses at a shopping plaza, we missed it at first and had to make a U-turn at the Jack in the Box. The inside is of elongated setting with comfortable dinning chairs. We came on a Saturday for lunch and it was not busy at all. We ordered the following dishes: The seafood sautéed Fettuccini pasta in white cream sauce and the shrimp scampi Mediterranean. Both were with great flavors and we like the shrimp scampi more than the seafood fettuccini. Another pleasant surprise was the freshly baked butter bread roll, warm, buttery, soft, and free! Highly recommended! And will definitely return.

The things that stood out were their delicious, rich sauces. The flavors were spot on. They cook their pasta perfect to my family's taste, with a bite (al dente), but done enough that it's not chewy or floury. Fair prices. And yummy desserts. The person who greeted us was friendly, but other than that, nobody else was there. We ordered two chicken fettuccine Alfredo dishes, and one had broccoli added. For the broccoli upcharge, I got four pieces. That's definitely not worth paying extra for. We didn't order drinks, appetizers, or sides. The fettuccine itself was just okay--it lacked flavor. The "garlic bread" was the biggest surprise: two Hawaiian rolls with garlic butter. Seriously... what is that? Each pasta was listed at $17.95, yet my total came to $48, and the math just wasn't adding up. I wasn't given an itemized receipt, which made it even more frustrating. After noticing my reaction, they brought us a salad with lettuce that looked brown and a small side of pasta. I'm guessing it was their way of making up for it, but that doesn't justify charging me without being transparent. To make matters worse, the bathroom was dirty, which is always a major red flag. My friend really wanted to try the restaurant, so I just let it go and paid. Looking back, I shouldn't have. Moral of the story: If your gut tells you something feels off, trust it and walk away. Don't stay just to be polite--it's your hard-earned money. This experience taught me that from now on, if something doesn't feel right, I won't hesitate to leave, no matter who I'm with or where I am. Transparency is everything to me.
