Their breakfast menu is much better than the rest of their food (especially the ham steak breakfast). As far as the restaurant goes, it is clean, but does have a natural "dingy" look to it. The best part about Alpha Omega is that they accept EBT, so I don't have to pay for any of my order out of pocket. I can relax and enjoy my meal while letting the state pick up my tab. A Pastrami, I was so looking forward to having the Pastrami sandwich as is always so tasty. However today it had no flavor and the bread was not freshed. As I glanced at the many, many customers dining around me, I understood the current popularity of Alpha Omega (Covina). It's extremely delicious for its affordable price point. Concerning ambiance, Alpha Omega (Covina) is forgettable. The interior is clean with smooth tables and swept floors; however, there's an off-putting scent of bleach/cleaning supplies in the air. The location also has no music, yet there's two flat screen TVs playing calm ocean videos. The decor is minimalistic and dated. Overall, I had a lovely experience at Alpha Omega (Covina). Compared to say P&G who's the king by far in size, this is about normal in what you'd expect. Taste wise the chili here has a bit more taste of green chili and ever slightly more spice. I've been a loyal customer of Alpha Omega for over 20 years, but unfortunately, the quality just isn't what it used to be. I ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon and light cheese my order was correct, but the bacon was extremely disappointing. It was fatty, tasted old, and came in huge chunks that reminded me of burnt, cheap Canadian bacon. I ended up pulling most of it out because I just couldn't stomach the flavor. This isn't the first time either the last 4 burritos I've had have all left much to be desired. I finally called to share my concerns, and instead of a sincere apology or acknowledgment, I was met with a defensive response. The person on the phone insisted, "the bacon hasn't changed," and doubled down on that point instead of listening to my feedback. They may say nothing has changed, but I know this place changed owners, and to me, the food quality--especially the bacon absolutely has. Sadly, I won't be returning. I was a huge fan of the breakfast burritos they serve up here and on one morning I went to the drive-thru to order one. Anyone that has been to this establishment knows how narrow the drive-thru lane is and two workers truly ruined my experience waiting in a line. I was one car away from the service window with very little room to go forward and two workers carrying a pot decided to bang on the side of my car instead of waiting the minute for me to pull forward. It is beyond unprofessional to bang on someone's car and is incredibly disrespectful to do. You can easily wait the minute for me to pull forward without touching my car at all!
