We ended up at Dollie's Breakfast on a whim and didn't check the reviews beforehand -- honestly, if I had, we might not have gone. It's located where the old Sizzler used to be (RIP to the cheese bread ). We went on a Sunday around 12:30. It was pretty quiet, but since they close at 2, that made sense. Service was prompt and friendly, and once we ordered, our food came out quickly. The menu is smaller and definitely diner-style. The food itself was just okay -- nothing bad, but nothing standout either. Basic eggs and hash browns. The corned beef hash was clearly from a can, which didn't bother me. The biscuits were a little hard and cold, but the gravy was actually pretty good. Now for the pricing -- $5 for an iced tea and around $7 for orange juice feels a little wild. Our total was $89 before tip for 4 adults and 2 kids (the kids shared one pancake, which was a good size). Overall, it was a decent experience. A bit pricey for what you get, but solid enough. We'd probably go back if we were in the area again -- next time we'd try the lunch menu instead. 4 solid stars. read more

I finally got an opportunity to check out Dollis Breakfast, where the old Sizzler used to be. The hot link and eggs plate was superb, with plenty of juicy and delicious hot links to anchor the whole entree. The hash browns were a tad mushy, but otherwise, the whole plate rocked. They got my eggs exactly up easy, which is more than most diners can do. The service was a bit slow with the refills; I only could get two refills by the time the meal ended when a more on the ball server can get me to that five or six cup mark. It wasn't too egregious, though, with her checking after five minutes of me looking to her to get my coffee. The ambiance is a little old and past its prime, but I kind of think that's what gives diners like this its character. I wasn't put off at all as I like to see a place that's settled in and experienced than brand new and maybe still figuring it out. All in all, it was a good breakfast, minus the hash browns and lack of refills. It's not the top of my list of best breakfast options in the area, but it's not the bottom of the list either. read more

Recently tried Dollis breakfast, a quiet little restaurant on the corner of citrus. Service is very friendly, there wasn't many staff working or too many people in the restaurant however they were still nice and accommodating. Food is okay I ordered a classic breakfast which came with a huge slice of hash browns, bacon, eggs, and your choice of toast. However for the price I think the food and portions are fair. How is this restaurant even open? We walk in, it's completely empty. The restaurant itself is so outdated and it was hot inside. I noticed a fly and paid no attention because it was one damn fly. I placed our drink orders and food order and then I noticed flies everywhere. I counted 5 just within a few seconds. I walked over to the waitress and explained I couldn't bear eating with flies but, I offered to pay for our drinks. I paid and left without eating. I was charged almost $40 for 3 strawberry lemonades and 1 iced coffee. Management ignored the fly issue but, made sure to collect the money for drinks. Definitely do NOT even think of eating here. Came here after my sons football and this was 10 minutes from the field. Walked in and didn't realize it was more towards a senior spot. Our waiter was sweet and very attentive. Inside is very old and dinghy. My son the build your own breakfast burrito. Very disappointed in the size. He likes it and that's all that matters. I got the Dollis special, which was eggs, choice of potatoes and sausage. It was ok. I didn't like the sausage. It had a sweet taste to it. We ordered pancakes on the side which were ok. The service is good the seating is comfortable for anyone and the refills on good soda fountain is top notch. They have a variety of breakfast choices to choose from. Vegan food, turkey, chicken, etc. The service was good and the ambiance was an old-school mom-and-pop style restaurant. It's very clean inside with televisions all around the restaurant. The prices are reasonable. They serve beer and mimosas. They close at 1 p.m. during the week and 2 p.m. on weekends. Paid a visit to Dollis on 12/14. Chose the sausage patties and eggs with decaf coffee. No hash browns. I checked if they offered sliced tomatoes instead. For toast I ordered the zucchini bread. Took that home. I'm on a slightly flexible carnivore diet right now. The choices are starting to work. Service was great. Sausage patties had great flavor. When I checked my blood sugar it was 107. Taking out simple carbs does make a difference. It's great that Dollis has menu items you can adjust for type 2 diabetes and the semi carnivore diet. A mom and pops diner with great service and interestingly tasty food. Craving for a different breakfast experience and spotted this place and thought to try. The place is dated but clean with ample parking space. There was a sign on what seemed to be a door but wasn't sure it was pointing to where the entrance is when it meant that door was the actual entrance to the restaurant. Went on a Sunday morning, wasn't too busy. Got seated right away. The server was very attentive to our needs. Service is fast as well. Tried their chicken burrito which was surprisingly very delicious! Portion size is moderate, has the right amount of meat and eggs. The burrito comes with a side of green or red salsa. I got green salsa and it was a delish mild flavor, downside is I wish they gave more salsa on the side because the small cup of salsa wasn't enough for me. I tried to flag down our server but the server wasn't paying attention and was near the kitchen area with his back turned to the tables. It wasn't busy when we ate here so table service should've been more prompt instead of lagging or absent lol. Their inside ambience resembles Denny's or a breakfast diner. I also got their orange juice and I recommend it. My friend got an omelette with hash browns and she liked it. I went in today to eat and the waitress told me she could not seat me because the kitchen was closing soon. I have never been told that before and I normally come around the same time. They have a pretty large tented outdoor dining area (using sidewalk and parking lot space). Came on a weekend at around 2, and it was empty! We got the ham steak and eggs ($10.99), and Dollis special ($7.99). Our food came out so quickly! The ham steak was huge and good - really juicy and flavorful. It got a bit too salty after having too much, but that's just how ham is. Hash browns were also too lightly fried, but I didn't mind much since I love potatoes. This was my first time at Dollis. I've driven by for over 20 years but never stopped in because it looks like a dive. My boyfriend and I decided to try it, and we were pleasantly surprised. We love breakfast and had a breakfast burrito and pecan pancakes, and he had the corn beef hash breakfast plate. We both enjoyed the burrito with TATOR TOTS. Yum. We also liked the pancakes but I don't like pecans so he ate them all. He also really liked the corn beef hash. We'll be back for sure. read more

I ordered the vegetarian omelette and my omelette and hash browns were soaked in oil (you can see the oil all on my plate) and on top of that the oil's taste seemed old. Dollis is a new restaurant that we tried for breakfast. Everything seemed ok. The service was prompt and the ambiance was low key. Definitely a family restaurant with some well known choices. I always order my hash browns well done and crispy but most restaurants fail. Dollis did not disappoint. My hash browns came out hot, crispy and well done but not burnt.
