Yikes. I hate to hate on a small business, but this place is WAY overpriced for mediocre food. A "fruit cup" was $11. Two eggs are $7.25. All other breakfasts are $19 and up. My eggs Benedict were pretty good, but I had food poisoning the following day. Everyone else in my party said their food was eh. The food does not warrant the price. We would not go here again. Excellent retro diner, walking into Ed's Place is like walking into a Time Machine. The walls are lined with every type of airplane imaginable. There are three seating sections, the front of the house is the counter seating and there is the table seating indoor/outdoor. The food is fresh and delicious, my wife had the country omelette with hash browns and sourdough bread, the omelette was a little overcooked and not very satisfying. I had the Denver omelette with O'Brien potatoes and biscuit and gravy, my omelette was very good and cooked just right. Service was spot on and the prices were reasonable. The Irish Benedict was just okay, and I won't be returning. Our server kept wandering off, and it took forever to get the bill and pay. The airplane-themed décor was interesting, with lots of items hanging from the ceiling to look at. Before you visit, please know that this seems like the type of restaurant that firmly enforces its right to refuse service. There's a good amount of public parking available nearby. read more

*1/5 Stars - great food, but Politics don't belong* I'm upset about writing this review because, honestly, Ed's has been our go-to breakfast spot and has been recognized as a Glendora gem for years. However, just now I recently noticed a framed photo of Charlie Kirk prominently displayed; I have to be honest, saying that this is a huge turn-off for us is an understatement - We're pretty disappointed and disgusted. As someone who values neutrality and doesn't appreciate mixing politics with dining, this gesture felt like a clear statement that does not align with our values. I understand that business owners have the right to their opinions and political views, but I also believe customers have the right to choose where they spend their money. Given the current climate of our country and the controversy surrounding Charlie Kirk, I do not feel comfortable supporting this establishment anymore. It's unfortunate because our family genuinely loved Ed's, but we won't be returning. If you're someone who supports Kirk's ideals or the larger scope of what MAGA represents, you might enjoy dining here. For me and my family, NEVER AGAIN. Another recent Yelp reviewer noted a political sign at the front door which we did not notice today, but I'm sure Ed's will be okay though... Glendora is filled with these like-minded folks. First let me say the breakfast are always tasty. Two complaints that has me give the low rating. First, the service is consistently terrible! Not the fault of the servers, just too low on staffing. I asked for a coffee refill when my food was served. Didn't receive it until I had finished my food. Second concern is pricing. Paid $48 excluding tip for two basic breakfast plates and coffee. I would suggest Crust and Crumble next door as an alternative. Delicious breakfast sandwiches at a much more reasonable price. read more

Four stars for the staff. They are super kind and attentive. The food, different star level for me. The hash browns are skimpy and have an odd taste to them. Perhaps the grill was not clean? Not sure but it tastes like old oil. Eggs were cooked perfectly. I feel like a $17.50 breakfast should have better portions. You are served one piece of a hot link with three eggs and a small amount of hash browns. The biscuits are great, gravy was not. Again, the staff were so sweet and kind that I didn't even care. Mid. My chicken fried steak had a piece of parchment paper or something stuck on it when served. I just took it off and still ate it because I'm a dog. Other than that the food was dead average. Service was not very good. Sat outside and couldn't find chances to wave my server down. Took us probably 10 minutes to get straws, coffee refill never came, and was overall pretty forgetful. I came here since I've wanted to try an English breakfast ($17.75) but not a lot of places make it in southern California. It came with grilled pork, grilled tomatoes slices, one breakfast sausage, chopped potatoes, fried mushrooms, eggs, and beans with toasted muffins. The beans were kinda sweet, the potatoes and mushrooms were good. The pork was dry and I did like the roasted tomatoes. The staff was nice and they have outdoor seating. The place inside is small but they have a lot of people eating inside. They do have plenty of regulars. read more

A little spot in Glendora Village. Don't drive too fast or you'll miss it! Tiny diner like setting with vintage aviation decore and a jukebox in the corner. There is a large outdoor patio out front to enjoy. Coffee is as expected - good diner quality. There's flavored creamer that wasn't at our table so be sure to ask if you're not offered. It took a second for someone to take our order especially with it not being that busy. Staff are all nice though. Corned beef hash and eggs, hash brown toasted and crispy and sourdough toast was on point. Note: the corned beef is seasoned with their own special seasoning which is similar to Bobs Big Boy seasoning. If you're not into seasoning except pepper then you might want to mention this when ordering. Great spot to have breakfast outdoors on those early morning Summer days. read more

I was visiting family from out of town and we decided to go out for breakfast. We found a cute little spot in downtown Glendora and were excited to try it. I ordered the Breakfast Delight, which comes with two eggs, a choice of bacon or sausage, and pancakes, a waffle, or French toast. I chose scrambled eggs with bacon and French toast. Unfortunately, while most of the meal was good, the bacon was not. It had a strong, unpleasant smell and tasted spoiled. It also appeared very dry, as if it may have been reheated multiple times. I sent it back and declined a replacement. A family member with me was also served bacon that seemed spoiled. We were given a small discount, which we appreciated, but it did not make up for the experience. We will definitely not be going back again. read more

Great local flavor in downtown Glendora. Wasn't too busy when I visited we were sat right away. You can dine in or out in the patio. Erica was our server and she was very helpful with it being our first time here. Cool place with an aviation theme. Ordered the corn beef hash. My wife went with the stuffed French toast. Both were great meals. I guess what she originally wanted they had ran out of. Food came out quick and service was great. If in the area again will check out Ed's Place again. I want to say that I am not a mean person, but I just downloaded Yelp to write this. I have never been so underwhelmed by a restaurant. It took maybe 40 minutes to get our food (2 entrees). They took our order, brought our drinks, and never came back until we got our food. The eggs were undercooked--the whites still half liquid--but apparently that's just "how their sunny side up is". The french toast was almost flavorless and overcooked. The waffle was pretty good, but the chicken was genuinely the most overcooked and bland chicken I've ever had. It was kind of gross. Getting the check involved asking multiple times until they finally remembered. The restaurant is cramped and feels dark and old inside. Outside seating might have been better, but it was full. All in all would definitely not come back; I've never been so reluctant to pay when staring at a check. read more

Guess what! The links are back. My husband loves the coffee here, so we came to have some breakfast. I love this place because their outside seating overlooks the Glendora hills which is awesome. It had been a while since I had been here since the sausage links changed. When our waitress came to take our drink order I asked about the links and she immediately knew what I was talking about. Their supplier had them back in stock. I knew that I would be ordering the heartland breakfast. This breakfast has to be one of my favorites here. It has hash browns, 3 eggs, 3 sausage links on a bed of gravy that has pieces of sausage and bacon and of course the toast of your choice. Ed's I'll be back with the rest of the family. Ed's Place looked promising from the outside, but the experience was a mess. There was only 2 waitress working, completely overwhelmed, and most tables were dirty or already taken. She told us to "sit anywhere," but then came back annoyed and actually lectured us for choosing a larger table. It was rude, unprofessional, and made everything awkward right away. I liked this place because it was a nice friendly environment and the food was good. Today I went to have breakfast and there was a political sign at the front door. If the sign had just said no on 50 I would have thought probably not a good place for it but ok. However it went on to say Democratic leaders whatever they do is bad. This is clearly not true of democrats or republicans. This is the divisive separatist language that is killing our country. I can't support a business assisting in the division. So we were walking in downtown and decided to give Ed's a try....big mistake, poor customer service, rude and unprofessional. Michael yells out to his fellow employees Oh our favorite customer is here, you know "extra napkins " would this be a customer who pays you money, maybe take the tip they gave you and take some manor lessons. After about 15 minutes of waiting a girl comes up to us and says I'm not your waitress but I guess I can take your order very rudely. We got up and walked out.
