We went there because my son was craving their grilled chicken sandwich. I order my husband a steak sandwich and figured I would share the chicken sandwich with my son. Strati Burgers (Covina) charges customers 4% more when customers use card. The lady at the drive-thru register never told me this until I mentioned the menu price discrepancy on the printed receipt. Not very transparent. I ordered the Country Fried Steak and Eggs ($11.99 on menu) but ($12.47 on receipt). I will attach photos. Service is fast. I waited only 5 minutes and 36 seconds. The gravy is jello-like, gloopy but well-seasoned. The meat is cooked decently; it's not burnt. And the meat is hot with strong sausage and pepper flavors. It tastes like a lightly fried breaded thick hamburger sausage patty. The eggs were hot, flat, and filled with minced egg whites. Unfortunately, the hash browns tasted chewy and rubbery. Lack of transparency aside, Strati Burgers is barely average for a drive thru. I can't recommend. read more

Delicious freshly prepared good solid food and service so sweet. Happy to claim Strati's as a home town local favorite. Fast drive thru service I have used it and always comes in clutch for when you're too tired to cook, too hot in the kitchen, whatever. A family favorite because there is something for everyone. Strati has delicious zucchini and and burgers. Their grill chicken sandwhich is a fan favorite. Wait is not terribly long when busy, service is friendly, quick and the ambiance is your typical burger joint. 2 stars was left because there was enough food to feed 4 adults. I went there today, March 22 and purchased a family meal that they advertise for $34.00. I added cheese to 3 of the burgers = $1.50, and two extra ranch dressings = $1.50. Total = $37.00 + taxes. I used my Apple Pay, not being told that they would charge me 4% to use Apple Pay. Needless to say, my total bill came out to $43.27. First of all, they should have told me about the 4%, and when I called to inquire about the charge, the guy was very snarky with me. I will NEVER be going there again! If you go, please be aware they charge you a surcharge of 4% to use your card. I will be going back to Covina Burgers! Props to them. - PRICE: Understand inflation but the recent big increase does not make any sense. Example: $13 for a sandwich, while the full breakfast is significantly less. - FOOD: I could overlook the price (this is everywhere) but the safety of the food I will not: The older guy that works there, I think he is one of the owners SHOULD NOT handling food. I saw him handle money, lick his finger to hand out the change and then go directly to the grill and start cooking- he simply cleaned his hands on his apron - DID NOT WASH HANDS. It is just gross and unacceptable. I canceled my order. It may be a one time thing but that is all it takes to get someone sick. If I have seen it, I am sure others have as well. First time at this restaurant today, I ordered a chicken burrito in the drive-through. There were 2or 3 cars in front of me, it took 25 minutes. The person who took my order did not tell me that the pico de gallo in the burrito is very hot. Even if they don't consider it hot, other people might. I could not finish my burrito, and my mouth and lips are still burning. They should've mention when I ordered, that the pico de gallo is very hot. I would've asked for it on the side or to leave it out. So it was a waste of $11. Not sure if I will ever come back, due to the very long wait, and lack of communication. There's really nothing negative to say. I call and order my usual quarter pound burger, fries and a side of chili peppers. It's always ready in ten minutes or less-- hot, fresh and delicious. Surprisingly really yummy spot! The fries were super crispy and light and very fresh. Perfectly seasoned too! The avocado bacon cheese burger was really yummy as well. This is the first time I probably had bacon that was both crunchy but also snappy and not chewy like a shoe sole. It had a little bit of a flavoring of like a gyro or something, which I totally enjoyed. Overall a very solid burger. I just wish I had extra salsa, it was that good. Not spicy, just tasty. The real star of the show was the biscuits and gravy. For $5, you get a whole container full of biscuits and gravy. Really just four halves of biscuits, topped with gravy, but the gravy was really really tasty. The gravy even had a spicy kick to it which I really liked. Today I was very discussed by the drive tru guy who helped me. I made an order and when was about to pay my window was half open because I had my belgian malinois in front seat, I told guy I wasnt lowering my window cause I didnt want him to jump out, he made a smart comment and say maybe u should train him and gave me my order and slammed the window, very bad service, unprofessional and obviously doesnt like pets! I hate to write negative reviews, especially for small businesses, but this one had to be done. What's worse than finding a cockroach at a restaurant? Telling the staff about it and they do nothing; not even an apology or ask about where it was a big cockroach too, ick! They just said oh okay. As soon as I saw it I got up and changed my order to go, though I wish I had cancelled all together because I lost my appetite. I can understand if maybe it came in through the open door, it was a hot day, but to just do nothing about it? That feels like negligence. I ordered the cheeseburger and gyro plate, which comes with salad and fries. I'm not sure what kind of dressing it was that came with the salad, but it wasn't for me. The fries were okay and the plate does come with a lot of food. NO STARS!!! I wanted to order for delivery via Grubhub and noticed they charge $9.99 for a cheeseburger, compared to $5.49 if I eat there or pick it up. Plus, the additional delivery fees, then tip. I then noticed all Grubhub prices were way higher so I called Strati and they confirmed. I told the man who answered the phone that I like to support small businesses, but the extra prices are ridiculous. He said that is Grubhub's fees and didn't care one bit about it, nor that I wouldn't be ordering from them anymore. He doesn't understand how delivery is very convenient nowadays and I advised him he is, or will be, losing business, including mine. He didn't care at all and just said okay. WOW!!!
