Bestie & I had brunch date here a few weekends ago. It's beautifully decorated, but too crammed in! The chairs at the tables are too big and people can barely walk by without hitting the next seat, you can barely scoot back in your chair without hitting the person behind you, not a place for a large group! Food as delicious kind of on the expensive side. Service was ok, had to ask for refills, remind them for our syrup, and asked for our bill 3x On top of it their AC was broken so we were all hot and sweaty in there.
Came to Mamimosas with my family on a Sunday for brunch. They were very welcoming and accommodating to our large group! Even though we were outside sitting, they constantly came to check on us and made sure we were doing okay, which i really appreciated! For Food I ordered the house breakfast which was very tasty & full of flavor! Would definitely recommend! I also ordered a Tropical Mimosa Flight which was yummy, everyone's fav was definitely the sangria one. Overall it was a very nice place, very yummy food, and an even nicer owner who came and chatted with us.
Food was well portioned and delicious! The potatoes were nicely seasoned. Their Benedict's eggs were perfectly poached! Yoke was not fully runny but not well done either. The cafe de olla had perfect amount of piloncillo! Will definitely return if I'm around! Oh and service was great. The server (handsome gentleman with colored eyes) was attentive and awesome!
Had such a great experience at Mamimosas in West Covina! The food was amazing, but what really made the experience stand out was the service. Liah, Laura, and Paola were all incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. They really made us feel welcomed and made the brunch experience that much better! The steak torta was SO good, flavorful, filling, and definitely something I'd order again. And the margarita flights?! Absolutely dangerously good! every flavor was delicious, and they went down way too easily! Great food, great drinks, and even better service. Definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're looking for a fun brunch in West Covina. I'll definitely be coming back!
Came in during a heatwave; unfortunately, I felt the venue was too hot to accommodate the excessive temperature, the amount of patrons inside, and kitchen. I was sweating seated indoors. We planned on eating entrees but after the appetizer (mouthwatering empanadas, get them) and mimosas, we ended up ordering the kids sandwiches to go and called it. We didn't want to stay and sit inside a hot restaurant, wait for food, and eat. Do you know that feeling when you can't eat because it's too hot and you're uncomfortable? The decor looks amazing, and the food was not only delicious, but well presented. The heat killed me, but I don't feel it had anything to do with service, food, or ambiance. Highly recommend, but if it's hot outside, this place is too popular to sit comfortably inside if that makes sense. But just look at the infused water, very intentional at Mamimosas.
I visited Mamimosas for the second time. Today it wasn't busy at all which was nice. We were able to be seated right away with no wait. The restaurant is always pretty clean with beautiful decor. I got a Mami's breakfast which included empanadas, beans, eggs, plantain and potato's. I also got a cucumber Fresca to wash it all down. The juices made in house you can tell because of the pulp and the food was good. It wasn't as good as the first time I visited but still decent. It's worth a try.
Fantastic brunch spot! I came here with my family on a weekday and we loved everything we got! The passion fruit agua Fresca is a must! So yummy! My toddler and I were fighting over it, lol! The crepes and French toast were delicious. The chicken and waffles were pretty good. I personally think the chicken needed more salt, but that's just a preference. I asked for some of the green sauce and that sauce was magical and definitely really good on that chicken. I don't remember what my dad got, but I attached a picture lol. He lovedddd it. I know it's pork. Staff was great. I will be back again! Also, the restaurant was cute!
First of all, while it is a small store, it is very pretty! Parking was a little difficult because it is a busy plaza. It is such a nice place for pictures! It was really busy the day we went ( sunday brunch) so the service was to be expected. Our waiter Josh was so so kind and so helpful! Lychee Spritz - super duper strong, we couldn't taste the lychee flavor Chilaquiles I think it tasted really good. The beans were very smooth and creamy. I liked the sauces. Would it be a filling meal by itself... I don't know. Milanesa de pollo My friend likes it. It usually comes with a salad or fries but they let us get it with rosemary potatoes instead. However, the menu says it comes with cheese and it came without it. We asked the server and even they said it should come with cheese. However they went to the kitchen and the kitchen said it should NOT have cheese... so we didn't get the cheese. they need to update the menu then.... Avocado toast: (My friend lol) ok this is going to be a very honest review. For being restaurant quality, it was very mediocre. AND when it first came out it was quite literally just sliced avocado on a toast. Seriously?? I ordered it because the menu said it came with a sundried tomato spread so I actually had to ask the waiter about it. And when it came out again it was a little better. But easily something I can make at home. I tend to order avocado toast at cafes because most places elevate theirs, but here was truly underwhelming. Grilled Pesto Chicken: My friend rly likes it! She got it with salad and no cheese. She says the portion was perfectly filling. The sourdough bread was toasted but it was not too crispy or hard to bite into, which she liked. The seasoning was on the lighter side, but that's her preference. The chicken was also not dry at all. Overall, she says 5/5! Feta Sundried Tomato & Spinach Omelette My friend liked it! The omelette itself wasn't very well seasoned, but the feta balanced it out. The food was good, definitely on the pricey side . We all finished our food so that is a plus. They definitely need to update the menu because we had a few complications with our meal. Overall, I was happy :) would I come again... yes but on a different day!
Brought the family for brunch. Didn't have seating for all of us inside so they were kind enough to bring some tables together for us outside. We were well taken care of and the owner even came and spoke to us. Great place for brunch, good drinks. Wide enough variety of food to please everyone. They also left jars of waters at the table which is good especially for larger groups. Would recommend for small outings with friends

First off, she said the place is really cute. She sent me pictures of the inside, and the space definitely has a nice vibe. She ordered the chicken and waffles and said the food was really good. The waffle wasn't soggy, and she thought the chicken was flavorful. Someone else in her group ordered the same dish and felt their chicken was a little dry, but she didn't have that experience. She was there with her coworkers for a team outing, so she didn't get a chance to check out the drink menu. She did mention that everyone else's food looked amazing, and everyone at the table seemed to love what they ordered. She described the menu as having a Mexican-American fusion vibe, and from her experience, they nailed it. Her final verdict? She'd definitely go back. The only downside was having to drive all the way to West Covina, but she said the food and atmosphere made it worth the trip.
This place is a gem! The ambiance was great, service was excellent and food was AMAZING! I love the little details to the table settings and decor. Really made you feel like you were eating at grandmas house. We were seated immediately and had a pitcher of fruit infused iced cold water waiting at our table. Ordered plantain French toast and Mami's Breakfast. Everything delicious, tasted homemade and reminded me so much of my grandmas breakfast. This will be a go to place for us for sure. Can't wait to enjoy a girl's brunch here!
The rosemary potatoes were the bomb.. fresh ingredients decor is so relaxing cheerful bright. Service is great always have you water full. They do t have any sugar free options for the coffee. Have a girlfriend meetup here enjoyed the whole experience. Calming music. Downside but not a deal breaker is the parking.
I recently visited Mimosas Kitchen & Bar in West Covina for brunch and overall had a really enjoyable experience.The vibe is lively and modern perfect for a weekend brunch. The menu had a good variety of brunch classics with a fun twist. The food was fresh, well-presented, and portions were satisfying Service was friendly and attentive even though it was busy, and everything came out in a decent amount of time. I'd definitely come back again.
Cheers to a wonderful brunch venue! Came with a friend to enjoy Sunday brunch, and had a bubbly good time. The place is so chic and cute! Trendy, girly, and comfy all at the same time. I did not feel like the space was overly crowded, and my friend and I were able to enjoy good food & conversation just fine. Their smoked salmon Benedict is delicious! As are their breakfast potatoes. I thoroughly enjoyed my dish. Although I did not enjoy their bubblies this time, their abuelita chocolate latte was just as good. What I enjoyed the most was the beautiful but comfortable atmosphere, where my friend and I could catch up peacefully over good brunch. We both agreed that we would come back. First time here. Trendy, cozy spot with good music--but the experience was mixed. We stood waiting to be seated without any acknowledgment, and tables are packed pretty close together. Our first waitress seemed disinterested, though the one who ended up serving us was attentive and friendly. We ordered steak and eggs with potatoes, and chilaquiles with egg and steak. Both steak portions were bland--no seasoning at all, it seemed like not even salt or pepper. The chilaquiles saved the meal though: flavorful, spicy red sauce and perfectly crispy tortilla chips. The potatoes were also really good. We also tried the cucumber agua fresca--small cup, but tasty. No alcohol ordered, total came to $63. Ambiance was nice, but between the seating experience and underseasoned steak, nothing here makes us want to come back. read more

Had such a great time at Mamimosas! The whole experience was fun and welcoming, but what really made our visit stand out was our server, Lia. Lia was genuinely so sweet and kind. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we sat down. She made sure we were taken care of without making us feel rushed or overlooked, and her warm personality made the experience even better! As for the food, we ordered the empanadas (LOOOVED the green sauce), Pop's Steak & Eggs, and the Signature Chimichurri Steak. Everything was delicious and made for such a fun brunch spread. For drinks, we tried the Passion Fruit Fresca and Horchata Latte - both were so good, and I especially loved how refreshing the fresca was! Between the food, drinks, atmosphere, and especially the hospitality, we left happy and already talking about coming back! Definitely recommend checking out Mamimosas, and if you get Lia as your server, you're in good hands! We'll absolutely be back! read more

Mmmmmm!! This place is soooo goood! The location of this brunch spot is conveniently located near so many stores and other shopping locations; get brunch and shop after- Umm yess! Parking was easy to find although I can see that space could be limited on a busy weekend as it's surrounded by stores and other food spots (come with time to put your name down)! We found parking and got seated almost immediately for our party of 2. The menu is full of Cuban-infusion foods with great options and mimosas of course. I opted for a chicken pesto sandwich and it was absolutely delicious, and the salad....wow! My absolute favorite was the abuelita hot chocolate with espresso in it, I almost wanted to order more to-go. Overall I left very satisfied with the quality, taste and atmosphere! read more

This place was the on my Yelp bookmark of places to try. The Pros are: 1. It's conveniently located 2. The decor and ambiance is super cute 3. Service wasn't bad, but the server wasn't initially the friendliest maybe because it was a little early for a party of 6, not really sure. She eventually warmed up though. 4. Food was good but did lack seasoning as many reviews have stated. The Cons: 1. Chipped coffee mugs and plates should never be used in any restaurant, it's just not a good look. 2. Prices on the menu should be what you're charged, per weights and measure's policy. Menu states to add egg to the chilaquiles plate it's $2.00 and to add carnitas it's $4.00, in actuality I was charged $3.00 for the egg and $6.00 for the carnitas which was the price for the steak on the menu. 3. The ceiling fans were on full speed and made the environment unpleasant because everyone was complaining that their eyes were stinging and drying out and not to mention makes your food get cold fast. 4. The music, which was good but super loud, had us practically shouting in order to have a conversation. In conclusion I would try this place one more time. Everyone liked their food with the minor tweaks on the seasoning. read more
Came this Sunday of Valentine's weekend and it was packed. We got there around 11:30 AM as a party of two and waited about 20-25 minutes (honestly not bad considering all the big groups). Host was super sweet and welcoming, we love a good first impression. We didn't realize until we sat down that it was a set coursed menu... surprise!! It was our first time so we didn't know! So it was appetizer, entree, dessert. The inside is adorable though. Very cute, very picturesque, very "wait let me take this photo first." Now let's talk food. The entrees were absolutely yum. My friend got the lechon, I got the chimichurri steak, and yes. So good. So filling. So much meat I had to box half of mine up (blessing). Our server Lia recommended the steak and she did not steer us wrong. She was personable, efficient, fast.. we loved her. The appetizers and dessert? Eh. We barely touched them. Lattes were good but a little on the sweeter side for our taste. Lavender latte and hazenut hot lattes- get it half sweet. Total was about $120 before tip. For that price, I don't think the full coursed experience was worth it but we still had a great time. Bonus points because the chef/owner came out to greet tables. Small detail, big impact. I'd come back to try other items if they have their regular menu... but no more surprise set menus for me haha. read more
Definitely a great hidden brunch spot in the SGV!!! When you first walk in, you'll see the restaurant is decorated in the cutest decor! It's a small spot but it's definitely worth waiting for. We came on a weekday so we were sat right away. The staff were very attentive and kind! We definitely appreciated the great service as we've been to some restaurants lately and we've gotten some poor servers. I personally got the poblano omelette and it was very good! Their poblano sauce was super tasty! However, I wish I asked for some meat in there. I felt like it was missing something. My husband got the steak and eggs and requested to get the chimichurri steak and they were okay with swapping that out which was nice! We also shared the chicharron starter which was also very tasty! It was fresh and also included plantains or what seemed to be potatoes. Whatever it was, it was really good! Of course, the mimosa flight was tasty! I'm a little buzzed writing this right now but that's how you know it's made with love haha! Overall, a great experience and I can't wait to come back!!!! read more

Was looking to try something new, so I jumped on here searching for a spot that wasn't just "coffee and go," but a place with good vibes, a real dining experience, and legit food. This place delivered. Lia took great care of us -- offered solid recommendations and made the whole first-time visit smooth. The place is bright, super clean, and welcoming. Even with the rain coming down, the floors stayed clean and safe -- which says a lot about how they run things. Now the food... wow. The black beans were really good -- next time I'll skip the crème, but that's just my preference. The plátanos hit that perfect sweet-and-savory balance without being overly sweet. (You can ask for sweeter if that's your thing.) The potatoes were spot on -- and I'm picky. They had the perfect crunch outside with the softness where it counts. I ordered the empanadas with chimichurri, and honestly, as I'm writing this, my mouth is watering all over again. The coffee? Great. Smooth, strong, and exactly what I wanted. I'd definitely recommend this place and I will be back. My only note: the chicken could use more sauce or even be fully drenched to bring out the flavors. Maybe I'm spoiled -- I compare all Cuban chicken to Versailles, and that place sets the bar. It's not the same, but still a solid experience overall. read more
Okay... my wife took me and our fam to a birthday brunch. I didn't know where. I just said surprise me. And, we show up at Mamimosas. I was one of the few guys in the restaurant obviously because they target women and Mimosas. So, of course I had to add the bad dad joke when the waitress came - she presumed it was Gwen's birthday and I said no, it's 'Dadimosas' birthday. My kids cringed. That said, I didn't mind. I love exploring new places to eat so we all decided on what to eat - with some helpful suggestions from our sever. She was friendly and attentive and service overall was spot on. She recommended the empanadas so we stayed with that while ordering drinks. I went with the traditional breakfast while Hayley got the salmon bagel, Cole got pancakes, Nolie got a salad, and Gwen ordered an omelet. I also ordered the Yuca as a side! Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. My only piece of advice was give us more space. We were crammed in a corner table but the whole role next to us was empty. It definitely felt mom and women focused. I wouldn't go with a guy friend or for work, but I can see Gwen going to meet friends. And I'd go with family again. Also, since Gwen is half Cuban, it's nice to find a place with some Cuban dishes. Overall, I recommend, moms, dads (maybe with your family), and grown kids. read more

Food was really good I got a pesto chicken sandwich, and my friend got the empanadas and they were bomb!!! The only thing I hated was that the waitresses would walk by too fast so when we needed something it took a while to get their attention and then they wouldn't really understand us. Another thing was the wait time!!! It tooook forever to get our food. Waited at a good 35mins for it. Also their coffee selection was ok nothing great. But the food was good. Maybe if I could pre order or mobile order I will. And the place is cute fast pace, girlie, but we were literally sitting super close to the next table. Like I could've just joined their conversation. read more

super cute restaurant. Nice decor, picture perfect setting. Pretty drinks and awesome music. Whoever's playlist was on, I approve! Good service. Definitely a busy place on the weekends so plan accordingly. Met with a group of 10 girls for brunch (we made reservations in advance) and they took such good care of us. Food was decent. I think my favorite thing was their empanadas. I forgot to take a pic of those, cause 10 hungry girls doesn't give much time to snap a pic! I also had their pesto chicken sandwich and it was cooked perfectly. Already planning another girls brunch to go back. read more

We ordered the coconut french toast and it came with no coconut flakes (see photo) and the table next to us was upset because they ran out of jam for the toasts. It also does not help that they basically only had one guy taking orders for the entire place on a busy Sunday brunch. It took about 20 minutes to get waters but the waiter was very nice and apologetic, but he was just slammed. He had us check out our bill WHILE we were still eating just so we wouldn't be waiting a while to pay our bill. The place was decorated beautifully but tight spaces and not a lot of room. read more

Mamimosas in West Covina is such a fun spot if you're in the mood for a lively brunch with friends. The first thing that stands out is the vibe...it's bright, energetic, cute decor, and a crowd that's clearly there to have a good time. As for the drinks, the mimosas are the star of the show. They've got a bunch of different flavors, and they don't skimp, everything felt fresh and well balanced, not overly sweet. Perfect for sharing a flight and trying a little of everything. Food wise, the menu has solid brunch staples. Portions are generous, and everything came out looking just as good as it tasted. So glad we got a Yelp reservation for a recent Sunday brunch to celebrate our friend's birthday. The place was very busy, but we were seated right away. The interior is super aesthetic, and the menu had us excited from the start. My friend and I kicked things off with an horchata latte. Honestly, a little watery, so I'd probably stick to their cocktails over coffee next time. Thankfully, the food more than made up for it. I ordered Mami's Breakfast, which came with chicken empanadas, buttery smashed potatoes, beans, eggs, and plantains and all so satisfying. My husband had the chicken panini and a kale salad with salmon. Our friends ordered the Abuela's Huevitos Rancheros and Mami's Ropa Vieja which is a hearty stew. We also shared some appetizers: the avocado & tomato bruschetta and garlic yuca with pork belly bites and both were excellent. I wish we'd had room for the pancakes or waffles, but that'll be for next time. The fruit-infused water was refreshing and constantly refilled. If this spot were closer, I'd definitely be a regular! read more

I went to Mamimosas because my friends were visiting from out of town and staying nearby, and we were looking for a brunch spot. The food was actually really good and the ambiance was super cute and inviting. We went on a Thursday around 11 AM, so it wasn't very busy, but unfortunately the service could definitely be improved. We never got water for our table, even though I noticed other tables did receive theirs. Overall though, everyone enjoyed their food. I got the crepes and would definitely recommend them. The food was great, but the service needs some improvement. read more

It was a long overdue Brunch date with my friends and one or the ladies suggested Mamimosas in Covina. Wine not? Reservations made for 5 and the day finally arrived - We were super excited! I was obsessed with the adult beverages menu, but unfortunately I was feeling a bit under the weather so all I had was a glass of Rosé. Note to self: will come back again for their Mimosas Flight. For the food, I ordered Pork Chop instead of the breakfast items and that was a 7/10. In my mind, I was thinking of more of a thick cut but I received 3 thinly sliced pieces. Not complaining since it tasted good, but a tad bit too spicy for me personally. My friends each ordered different breakfast items and they all loved it. We ordered the French Toast to share and the presentation for that was definitely an 8/10. Head's up: There's an 18% gratuity automatically added for parties of 5 & more, and you're not allowed to split checks. When presented with the bill, we were asked by our server if we wanted to give more than the 18% tips, which WAS a bit weird. Overall, I give Mamimosas a 7/10 for the vibes and location. My Neice was baptized today and my family took us to a local eatery they recommended. Omgosh it was so good. Portions were great, food was fresh, homemade and incredibly tasty. I'm usually quick making decisions. This menu is "crazy". Took me about 10 minutes to decide and when I did I was so pleased with my choice. Lechon cartinitas, so good. Buon appetito! read more

I ate brunch at Mamimosas with three longtime friends from high school today, and I must say that the $17 House Breakfast dish that I ordered was pretty good! It consisted of two poached eggs, four smoked sausages, two grilled toasts and potato slices with dressing. Pretty delicious! The server who waited on us was very courteous, and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was very relaxed. Most of the patrons (including one of my friends) clearly consisted of employees who wanted to grub at this Latin American joint before heading back to work. And I'm not surprised! Mamimosas is a great place to have breakfast, brunch or lunch if you need to find a restaurant that serves delicious food while you're on a one-hour break. I'm definitely down to dine at this location again if my friends are in the mood to return for another meal as well! read more
Ambience is good. Ordered kabobs which turned out to be a couple very small thin slices of steak. It's not the kind of meat that you get on skewers. It was in a green sauce and came with plain white rice. Nothing special about the rice... and nothing special about the steak. Extremely small portion of hummus which was upsetting since it had no flavor and was very runny. The very tiny slices of pita bread were tasty. But the tiny pita bread triangles equalled barely one regular pita bread. Had diet coke in a very small maybe 6 oz glass 3/4 filled with ice. Had three of them @ $3 each. Didn't see the prices on the menu. The waiter for some unknown reasons kept wanting to walk away from our table as we were ordering. Had to tell him my brother is trying to order. $70... Overpriced for small quantity of food. read more
