We've been here multiple times and each time it's been okay, but yesterday was just ridiculous. Yesterday we went in specifically to get a small bite and to have a mimosa flight. It was noon. The host brought us to a table and asked "is a high top okay?" and we said oh can we have a regular table. He rolled his eyes and brought us to a different table... okay?? As soon as we sat down we noticed the table was very sticky and asked for water because of how hot it was outside. We ordered and received the mimosa flight maybe ten fifteen minutes later and asked for water once again. We decider to not order food. Some time passed by again with no waiters around and no one checking up on us, we called someone and asked once again for some water. We had to ask three separate times before they finally brought over the water, and by the time we got them we were frustrated with our experience and asked for the check and left. read more

Nice big parking lot around the area, and when we came around 9:30 AM there were still a few prime spots right in front--always a good start! Right away, the vibe was giving outdoor patio but with cozy indoor energy. Super clean inside and out, and the staff was really friendly. Our waitress this morning--her name was "B"--was the sweetest. Super kind, always checking in on us and making sure we were good. If you're like me and super indecisive, I usually stalk the menu the night before. But this menu was HUGE--pages and pages. I flipped straight to the brunch section in the back (three full pages!) and landed on the Supreme Skillet: potatoes, over-easy eggs, bell peppers, ham, and sausage. It came with three tortillas of your choice--I picked corn. Taste-wise, it was good, but I wish there were bigger and more pieces of meat. Compared to other skillets I've had, this one was a little light on the protein. It was $17.99. I'd rate it a 6.5/10, but with the refried beans on the side, it bumped up to a 6.9/10. My bestie ordered the Combo Benedict with French toast sticks, and honestly...the French toast sticks were the star. Super crispy, fluffy inside, and perfect with syrup. We also got the mimosa flight--mango, strawberry, and peach. All were tasty, super cute, and very Instagram-worthy. I can totally see this place popping at night with music and drinks. That said, even in the morning with only one other couple next to us, the music was pretty loud--it was kinda hard to talk during our brunch, literally had to look at besties lips to know what she's saying. OLA Restobar...Where the server hustles harder than the DJ! Came in after partaking in the Christmas parade with my husband, still buzzing from the floats and ready for food and drinks. The place had the perfect post-parade vibe: not packed, super chill, and the DJ was on a wild (but awesome) journey. He played old-school reggaeton, hip-hop, 80s throwbacks, banda, corridos... basically a musical piñata. Then there was Arturo (pretty sure that's what the name tag said). This man is a national treasure and an absolute MENACE (in the best way possible). I barely grazed the drink menu twice and POOF!! He materialized like a cocktail genie asking if I needed another round. His radar for empty glasses should be studied by NASA. I watched him zoom around the room subtly pointing at people's drinks like, "Hey! Your glass is looking a little lonely." He even stopped to help two girlfriends who were either attempting to take selfies, or simply asked him, or he could have offered. Dude's energy and permanent smile could power the whole block. Funniest, fastest, friendliest service we've ever had. Arturo, if you're reading this, (or your boss) you need to be given a raise, a cape, or both. Now, foodwise: Drinks? On point. Carajillo and Aperol Spritz were perfect. Food? Delicious. Queso fundido with shrimp disappeared in record time. My enchiladas de camarón were fantastic, and husband demolished the aguachile divorciados. Only tiny nitpick: the sauce on my enchiladas tasted too much like oregano to me. Everything else? I went in on a Tuesday for the taco Tuesday deals, the game and the happy hour drinks. The food was what it was. The tacos didn't come with cilantro or onion. The ceviche was room temp and had a fishy taste instead of lemon or seasoning. The drinks were basically juice so you're better off just drinking beer. The music was so loud you had to shout just to be heard. I guess it's a cool and safe place for people in their early twenties. Glad I experienced it. read more

I have been coming here for a little over a year. My friend and I like to come here to grab some food before we enjoy some nightlife in Covina. I always get the tour of the sea shrimp taco plate. It's $18 for four tacos. The tacos are good but I come back for the vibe. It's a good place to start the night. The music is ok but no one is ever on the dance floor. So we usually just eat then leave. They do have an extensive drink list. I gave tried the espresso martini and the lychee martini but I wouldn't recommend either one at all. The beer is ice cold and the service is somewhat slow but not terrible. Very polite and respectful, but I waited 20 minutes for the check to come last night. We can move a little better than that. A good place to start the night or watch a game. I would recommend coming in a Sunday at brunch time. read more

Asked for a table that isn't so loud and were told it's as loud in the entire restaurant. Sat and no one approached us at all. Not even for water. Ola Restobar is a great place to have drinks and eat with friends! It's more of a sports bar and they sometimes have a DJ depending on the day. Fair warning it is really loud in here with the DJ so if that's your vibe this place is perfect! That's why I love coming here with friends just to hangout and drink. Their service is always great here. My recent visit I think one of the managers was helping us by always checking in which was nice. The drinks and food are decent. I do feel their cocktails are watered down.... The drinks are not strong at all and sometimes I feel I don't taste the alcohol. Visited this establishment twice. Once for brunch and another time during dinner. I sat in the patio seating both times. When calling for reservations, you'd have to call multiple times or they won't pick up. Their service over the phone is very "straight to the point" and their staff will tell you different things. I had made a reservation for party of 10 for brunch and requested to be seated in the patio area since the patio area was very beautiful. We all came on time and waited an additional 20 minutes for the patio "to be set up". It was only us and three other tables at the time. Drinks came out about 15 minutes before the food (which is fine as there were 10 of us). Food was delicious. However, service started to slow down after we ordered our initial food and drinks. One person's food came out 10 minutes after everyone else's. We ordered additional drinks which didn't come out after another 20 minutes. However we were approached 2 different times asking how we're going to pay (even though we were still order/waiting on our food/drinks). There IS a 2 hour time limit, but our time there wasn't even 1 hour in when they started asking us how we were paying. Came here a second time with my husband for dinner. It is a completely different vibe with a dance floor inside (not a complaint). It was fun to see the difference with the dance floor as well as music videos playing on the tv screens. Host asked if we wanted to be seated inside or in the patio for a slightly more quieter time. We requested patio, but were seated inside by the dance floor. We realized it might've been a mistake and was moved to the patio. There are doors to the patio that would be kept shut most of the time to avoid the music from coming out. However, the servers would leave the door open and it was as if we were seated next to the dance floor anyway. We ordered some food, some cocktails, and a soda. Alcohol came first. Then the food. My soda didn't come until we were halfway through finishing our food. we couldn't flag anyone down as no one would come out to check on us until someone was seated, and the servers told us to request it with our waitress. Overall, the food and drinks are good. However the service is what kills the experience for me. Whether it was on the phone, waiting on our food/drinks, and even ordering additional food/drinks, it was a pain to get anyone's attention. If you got someone's attention, they'd either acknowledge it and walk away without putting the order in, or tell you to request it with the waitress. read more

Decided to come here for Cinco de Mayo this past weekend, which was a good decision to make. We did not have reservations when we arrived around 5 PM and only had to wait around 10 minutes for a group of seven people, which is not bad at all usually on Cinco de Mayo it's a long wait. This is my first time at the Covina location. I have been to the Downey location before but this location I definitely recommend I love the outside is spacious and bigger and very live with the really good DJ. good times and the decor was so cute inside. One of my best Cinco de Mayo celebrations, and a very long time I had so much fun I couldn't stop dancing. The service was exceptional and the management was good as well! Nonetheless, the food was good as always. I ordered the Carnitas tacos and guacamole which was very tasty. For my drink I just ordered a skinny Cadillac margarita and we got a Casamigos for the bottle service for our table which was only $260. The prices here are really reasonable and they even had deals for Cinco de Mayo with five dollar beers and five dollar margaritas , so I do recommend to come here if you want to celebrate and to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. This is a turn up spot for sure! It is also the spot if you wanna have a good time with your girls, family, and a good hangout spot with good drinks and food. It's plenty parking on the street, and it is located in old town/ downtown area of Covina. Overall, my experience was top-notch. This is a cool nice looking restaurant. I went there for a late night happy hour which is 9-close. It came highly recommended. Anyhow, on to my order, I can't help but laugh as I write this... There is a special happy hour menu which I ordered from. I ordered the Sopes de carne asada. When I got them, me and the rest of my group couldn't stop laughing. "Hey Danny, why did you order from the kids menu!" We could not stop laughing for about 15min. These two sopes are the size of a round tortilla chip.
