Temple Time (Happy Hour) Menu - 5/2026
    Angela C.

Came here with my hubby for happy hour. They offer happy hour deals Wed - Sat, 3 pm -7 pm. It was pretty empty when we arrived, and they had a great playlist of old school hip hop playing. There was a DJ who was starting to set up for the evening. Apparently it turns into a club at night - as evidenced by all the flyers plastered on the walls and windows through out the restaurant. You must be 21+ to enter after 8 pm. Not sure what kind of music the DJ plays, but it's cool to know that there's a club nearby if I am ever feeling like I want to go dancing. The bartender was super nice and had a great sense of humor. We ordered quite a few items off the happy hour menu to try. The drinks and food were all good, standard bar quality. There's more on the regular menu, with American food and even Asian fusion food like spicy ramen pork tamales and flaming hot Cheetos rolls. Most of the menu leans towards Mexican style food. I'm sure the vibe is different later in the evening but for a decent happy hour with no wait, this is a solid spot.

A lot can change in three years... I came here this past weekend with a friend. She called 5 times (before 7pm) because we wanted to know their entertainment options for that night (DJ, lotería, live band, etc). Their website was down via Safari and via Yelp. Wasn't able to get through via phone. We pull up anyways and the normal front entrance is closed. You have to enter AND exit through the side door. We go inside and we assume it's open seating. Flashing lights, open tables (not too crowded around 8pm/9pm. So we take a seat and the server comes. What threw me off guard is when we ordered our first round of drinks they charged us right then and there and explained that "tonight is pay as you go". While at the table, we get our drinks, pay, and take in the ambiance. The drinks were good they weren't bad. However, the music was TOO loud. Me and my friend just looked at each other the entire time and smile and nodded because there was no way a conversation was able to happen. BUT the music selection was 11/10. Dance floor was full and people were getting down! DJ was killing it so the music being loud is NOT a problem, it's just something to be aware of if you come here on a Friday night (entertainment varies). Bathrooms were clean, servers table touched very often. The server did let us know that they were changing for bottled water. $4 for bottled water. The servers were nice enough to give ME a complimentary cup of water...but nothing for my friend. Which I thought was weird. But okay...I don't want the servers getting in trouble for something minor like this. What sent it ALL downhill was the food. My friend ordered the carne asada tacos and I ordered the birria tacos with potatoes on the side. My friend said her tacos were burnt. My tacos had a chemical/medicine taste (please don't ask why thats the best way to describe it). The potatoes were what was left sitting at the bottom of the pan/fryer because they were cold and drenched in oil. The food was so bad I couldn't even force myself to eat it. And that was my first real meal of the day. This place is not what it used to be.

We are Led Heads and when my friend heard that the tribute band Led Zep Headz were playing on a Sunday night we all jumped in the van and drove out here. The entrance to see the band was 10 bucks and they have many tables and chairs available if you don't want to stand. We bought three rounds of beers in a bucket. The band sounded great and we had a great time.

I had been wanting to drop by this place for awhile, so now I had a good reason when I saw an ad for the Cold Duck Band performing on a Saturday night. There was a cover charge of $10 as you entered. The hostess accepts payment in cash or credit card. She then escorted us to a table. We ordered beers from the Server. The employees came by frequency to check on us and food/drinks were served within 10 - 15 minutes. The restaurant/bar has a "Dia de los Muertos" theme with skull decor and lots of neon signs and lights. It's bright and a casual environment. The band had already started playing music of the 80s and 90s era and lots of people were dancing. It was a lively group and good vibe. A DJ kept the music going when the band took a break. MENU HIGHLIGHTS: Sunday Brunch $29.99 per person. -Tacos (Carne Asada, Chicken, Beef, Al Pasto, Birria). -Sandwiches (Crispy Chicken, Sirloin Sliders, Philly Cheesesteak). -Seafood (Shrimp Cocktail, Tempura Shrimp Roll with Hot Cheetos, Agua Chile Shrimp Roll, Seafood Tostada). -- Sides: Chips, Salsa, Guacamole, Loaded Nachos or Fries, Beans, Fried Rice. The dining room has booths for about six people and individual tables that can be configured for two to ten guests. On the right-hand side of the room is the cocktail bar with bar stools for about 30 people. Sincerely, Rosemary

Mother's Day was wonderful at the Temple Bar. Everyone had a great time, myself included!! We enjoyed singing along with Abel's songs. He's a great entertainer & works the crowd extremely well. The service was very good. All waitresses were very friendly & attentive. The variety of food was excellent. Everything I tried was full so good & full of flavor. This was a very memorable experience for all of us. Thank you!! #TempleBar

    unprofessional business chat response

I've passed by here with friends a couple times. The vibes seem fun and I thought I'd request to see if they could book a LA DJ I really enjoyed to come play. I DM'd the business page on Instagram and got this rude response (seen in pic). The lack of professionalism makes me no longer feel welcome as a patron. Following on Instagram does not equate being a patron at an establishment. If they wanted to increase their following and brand media presence, this is not how PR should do so.

Friday is not the weekend... it's a weekday.

Came here with my fiance tonight (Friday) and we didn't get menus until 10 minutes later. Then we ordered margarita flights and shot flights once the drinks got to us it looked completely different from online and we asked the server if we got the correct order and she said yes our margarita flights came in plastic shot cups and we asked her why it didn't look like the ones online and she told us "we don't give margaritas in glass bottles on the weekends" but it's Friday and not considered the weekend yet. We tried our drinks and they tasted like legit buzzball served in plastic cups. Worst drinks we have ever tried. We asked for the check and left. Never coming to this place ever again worst experience ever. If that was your excuse of apologizing for your bad service then your in for a good one! Anyways Friday is considered a weekday and we should've been treated better. Horrible customer service and horrible management. Stay far away from this place.

Daniella was a wonderful server especially on Mother's Day. Had wonderful music and food as well.

Jorge came outside multiple times, clearly saw how many people were waiting, and even recorded the crowd on his phone three different times for social media. Knowing the capacity of the restaurant, he could have easily informed everyone that the remaining people in line would likely not get in. Instead, we waited over three hours with no communication. While we were waiting, I repeatedly watched people call Jorge. He would come outside, greet them, and bring them straight inside. I personally saw this happen at least six different times. When it was finally our turn to speak with the host, we were told there were no seats left, that we would have to stand, and that we wouldn't even be able to order food. I confronted Jorge about letting those other groups in ahead of everyone else. His response was that he knew them personally and that they were friends of the restaurant owners. That explanation only made the situation worse. My wife had just finished a 14-hour hospital shift, and we came here hoping to enjoy the game together. Instead, we spent three hours waiting only to be treated as though our time didn't matter. What was most shocking was Jorge's attitude. He literally told me, "They won't do anything to me if you post this. I'm friends with the owner." If that's the mindset of management, it's no surprise customers are treated this way. It truly felt like only friends and family received special treatment while everyone else was left waiting without honesty or respect. I have no issue waiting when things are busy, but I do expect transparency, fairness, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience showed none of those qualities.

If on a tight budget, the Good Company (Covina) is a prime location for casual drinking or hangout. It's food is not bad, but you can taste its affordability. I arrived on Saturday (around 5:40PM). Customers walk to the counter and order. Staff (Omar) is friendly and hardworking. He's seen constantly moving and interacting with guests. My orders arrived quickly. The Cheeseburger Bun was ready in 5 minutes and 36 seconds. The Matcha Berry Affogato arrived at my table in 9 minutes and 20 seconds. The food's presentation is memorable. The Cheeseburger Bun ($6) includes wagyu ground beef, melted American cheese, thinly sliced pickle, and fried thin onion slivers. Eating it with the white bun reminded me of sloppy joe in a soft taco. This very wet, mushy meal is cheesy and oily. Still, it's filling and cheesy with a very affordable price-point. The Matcha Berry Affogato ($6) is a scoop of ice cream swimming in a lake of liquid matcha. The flavors are decent but not memorable. The ice cream was chill and not overly sweet. Unfortunately, the liquid matcha arrived almost lukewarm. It would have been much more refreshing if the entire dish came cold. The presentation is eye-catching, but it lacked any real taste. Still, it's a very affordable experience. Concerning ambiance, The Good Company (Covina) performs extremely well. The location is very clean and comfortable with upbeat & fun music. There's also one flatscreen tv in the corner with closed captioning english subtitles. The location is well-ventilated, and the furniture all look very new and well-maintained. Even though the location is small, the colors and decor make it feel spacious and comfortable. Overall, The Good Company (Covina) is a good, budget hangout location. The food has an attractive appearance but its taste is unfortunately comparable to premium fast food. If heading there, bring good company and you'll definitely have a good time. 4 out of 5

My only complaint was the chicken portion to salad was a little slim but, the crispy tots made up for it. The star of the show was the bread pudding! And took responsibility So now I change my review to 5 stars. I came to Gladiators Brew around 2:50 PM to watch the Argentina CPV World Cup match. Around 3:10 PM, I ordered food. About five minutes later, a bartender came over and asked if I wanted something to drink. I told him I still hadn't received my food yet and asked if he knew what I had ordered. He said, "No, I just got here," so I pointed to the other employee who had taken my order. After waiting nearly 30 more minutes, I still hadn't received either my soda or my meal. I finally walked up to the bartender, and he said he was busy. About 10 minutes later, he brought my soda but never apologized for the delay or acknowledged the long wait. As I pulled up to the parking lot, I noticed they had an outdoor seating area, which is really nice on hot days. It looked like a great spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a drink in the evening. When I went inside, I immediately liked the camping and outdoor vibes. The whole place has that rustic, lodge-style feel that makes it stand out. They had a bunch of pinball machines, which was a fun surprise, and there were murals all around the walls -- including ones of Lakers legend Kobe and the LA Dodgers. It definitely gives off strong local pride and a laid-back atmosphere. The inside is very spacious, with plenty of room to move around and a lot of TV screens, making it a solid spot to catch a game. I could easily see myself coming back to watch a Dodgers game there. That said, my experience at the bar wasn't the best. When I stepped into line to order, it seemed like the two beertenders were a bit distracted. There was a group of ladies sitting at the bar, and it felt like they were getting most of the attention. Usually, beertenders are welcoming and might ask something like, "Is this your first time here?" but the guy with the long mustache who served me gave off more of a "What do you want?" vibe. I asked for a taster, and he did provide one, but I didn't feel comfortable enough to ask to try anything else. At other breweries, I usually feel encouraged to explore the menu a bit more. Instead, I just winged it and ordered the Pink Lemonade Seltzer. It was okay, but compared to a lot of seltzers out there now, it wasn't very flavorful. It almost had a slight medicine-like taste. Because I didn't really feel the love from the beertenders, I ended up having just one drink and heading out. The space itself has a lot going for it -- great theme, fun games, plenty of TVs, and nice outdoor seating -- but I definitely think there's room for improvement in the customer service department. I might give it another try in the future, especially to catch a Dodgers game, but I'm hoping for a warmer, more welcoming experience next time.
