What really made the experience stand out, though, was the incredible staff. Ray, Daniella, Stephanie, and Willy all went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. It's clear they take pride in providing excellent service, and it made the entire experience that much better. Girls' Night, Loud Music & Mystery Margaritas Met up with my girlfriends after work and decided to give this spot a try. Parking was easy enough with plenty of spaces out front, which is always a great start. Walking in, I immediately noticed the ambience was on the darker side. Part of the dining area was closed off for a large party watching a soccer game, so we were seated at a few high-top tables near the bar. Not a big deal, but wow... this place is dark. And the music? Let's just say if you're planning to catch up with friends, be prepared to leave with a slightly raspy voice because you'll be doing a lot of repeating yourself. Now for the fun part... the margarita flight. It was my first visit, and honestly, it felt like it may have also been our waitress's first day. She was very sweet and checked on us often, which I appreciated, but when I asked about the margarita flight, things got interesting. The flight that arrived looked nothing like the photos I'd seen. Instead of the three cute margarita glasses pictured online, ours came as four small colorful shots--yellow, green, red, and orange. Naturally, I asked what flavors they were. Her response? "I have no idea." I even showed her the photo from Yelp, and she said she'd never seen it before. At that point, my friends and I just started making up our own flavors. As for the food, we took advantage of the 2 for $22 lunch special and ordered: * 6 Chicken Taquitos * 3 Steak Tacos * Steak Nachos * 6 Lemon Pepper Wings Honestly, everything was pretty decent! Then again, food always tastes a little better when you're starving after work. The asada tacos were flavorful, the wings hit the spot, and the nachos disappeared pretty quickly from the table. Now for the moment that truly left us scratching our heads... We ordered additional food and packed quite a bit to go. Since my friend's taquitos came with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole, we naturally asked if there were lids so we could take them home without turning the car into a dipping sauce disaster. Her response? "I'm sorry, we don't carry lids." Confused, I asked, "So what happens when people eat here and want to take leftovers home?" And without missing a beat she replied: "People that eat here don't usually take things home." Wait... WHAT?! I've eaten at a lot of restaurants over the years, and I can honestly say I've never received that response before. No lids? For anything? It was one of those moments where my friends and I just looked at each other wondering if we heard correctly. To be fair, I don't know if she was new, nervous, or just having an off day, but that interaction alone pretty much sealed the deal for me. Looking back it's actually pretty funny, but it's definitely not the kind of service experience that would make me want to come back for a second visit. Overall, I'd give this place 3 out of 5 stars. The food was decent, the waitress was sort of kind yet dismissive, but between the extremely loud music, dim lighting, mystery margaritas, and the unforgettable "people don't usually take food home" comment, this ended up being more memorable for the wrong reasons than the right ones. This place is trying very hard to be a restaurant/club/bar hybrid but fails to do either correctly. The environment matches more of a restaurant with loud music but the food and drinks matched more of a dive bar. If this was a genuine bar/club, I would understand the poor quality of food but like previously stated, its marketed as a restaurant and 80% of the seating area are restaurants style tables and chairs. There is also a ($5) small cover to get into the restaurant and charged bottled water only. For food, we ordered the chili burger, crab enchiladas, chicken sliders, and steak sandwich. - Chili Burger (7/10; It was okay, nothing significant or terrible) - Crab enchiladas (2/10; My bad idk why I decided to order this, but it was an imitation crab stick rolled up in tortilla served with rice that was cold (this was most likely a prepared rice batch from a supermarket???) - Chicken sliders (3.8/10; Completely batter and bread with very little meat most likely due to the frozen tenders they use) - Steak sandwich (4/10; It was a frozen breaded beef patty...) The alcohol here (this is a bar/club/restaurant) was okay but the margarita flights were served in 4 tiny plastic cups. Besides the size, the drinks were okay! Came here with my hubby for happy hour. They offer happy hour deals Wed - Sat, 3 pm -7 pm. It was pretty empty when we arrived, and they had a great playlist of old school hip hop playing. There was a DJ who was starting to set up for the evening. Apparently it turns into a club at night - as evidenced by all the flyers plastered on the walls and windows through out the restaurant. You must be 21+ to enter after 8 pm. Not sure what kind of music the DJ plays, but it's cool to know that there's a club nearby if I am ever feeling like I want to go dancing. The bartender was super nice and had a great sense of humor. We ordered quite a few items off the happy hour menu to try. The drinks and food were all good, standard bar quality. There's more on the regular menu, with American food and even Asian fusion food like spicy ramen pork tamales and flaming hot Cheetos rolls. Most of the menu leans towards Mexican style food. I'm sure the vibe is different later in the evening but for a decent happy hour with no wait, this is a solid spot. read more

A lot can change in three years... I came here this past weekend with a friend. She called 5 times (before 7pm) because we wanted to know their entertainment options for that night (DJ, lotería, live band, etc). Their website was down via Safari and via Yelp. Wasn't able to get through via phone. We pull up anyways and the normal front entrance is closed. You have to enter AND exit through the side door. We go inside and we assume it's open seating. Flashing lights, open tables (not too crowded around 8pm/9pm. So we take a seat and the server comes. What threw me off guard is when we ordered our first round of drinks they charged us right then and there and explained that "tonight is pay as you go". While at the table, we get our drinks, pay, and take in the ambiance. The drinks were good they weren't bad. However, the music was TOO loud. Me and my friend just looked at each other the entire time and smile and nodded because there was no way a conversation was able to happen. BUT the music selection was 11/10. Dance floor was full and people were getting down! DJ was killing it so the music being loud is NOT a problem, it's just something to be aware of if you come here on a Friday night (entertainment varies). Bathrooms were clean, servers table touched very often. The server did let us know that they were changing for bottled water. $4 for bottled water. The servers were nice enough to give ME a complimentary cup of water...but nothing for my friend. Which I thought was weird. But okay...I don't want the servers getting in trouble for something minor like this. What sent it ALL downhill was the food. My friend ordered the carne asada tacos and I ordered the birria tacos with potatoes on the side. My friend said her tacos were burnt. My tacos had a chemical/medicine taste (please don't ask why thats the best way to describe it). The potatoes were what was left sitting at the bottom of the pan/fryer because they were cold and drenched in oil. The food was so bad I couldn't even force myself to eat it. We are Led Heads and when my friend heard that the tribute band Led Zep Headz were playing on a Sunday night we all jumped in the van and drove out here. The entrance to see the band was 10 bucks and they have many tables and chairs available if you don't want to stand. We bought three rounds of beers in a bucket. I had been wanting to drop by this place for awhile, so now I had a good reason when I saw an ad for the Cold Duck Band performing on a Saturday night. There was a cover charge of $10 as you entered. The hostess accepts payment in cash or credit card. She then escorted us to a table. We ordered beers from the Server. The employees came by frequency to check on us and food/drinks were served within 10 - 15 minutes. The restaurant/bar has a "Dia de los Muertos" theme with skull decor and lots of neon signs and lights. It's bright and a casual environment. The band had already started playing music of the 80s and 90s era and lots of people were dancing. It was a lively group and good vibe. A DJ kept the music going when the band took a break. I really was looking forward to a good time.... unfortunately, did not meet my expectations. Starting with the drinks. Served in a plastic cup, cheap liquor and their blender broke so, had to have margarita on ice. Once the D.J. started we were advised they charge for Water ! The vibe was lost when D.J. kept making loud noises during his set up. Was in restroom when lights went out. Too many things were just not going as expected. Live DJ Stilo Rolas played great music, mostly 80s-90s R&B and rap. The drinks were good and average priced. Everyone was happy and enjoying the music and people, no complaints from me. I've passed by here with friends a couple times. The vibes seem fun and I thought I'd request to see if they could book a LA DJ I really enjoyed to come play. I DM'd the business page on Instagram and got this rude response (seen in pic). The lack of professionalism makes me no longer feel welcome as a patron. Came here with my fiance tonight (Friday) and we didn't get menus until 10 minutes later. Then we ordered margarita flights and shot flights once the drinks got to us it looked completely different from online and we asked the server if we got the correct order and she said yes our margarita flights came in plastic shot cups and we asked her why it didn't look like the ones online and she told us "we don't give margaritas in glass bottles on the weekends" but it's Friday and not considered the weekend yet. We tried our drinks and they tasted like legit buzzball served in plastic cups. Worst drinks we have ever tried. We asked for the check and left. Never coming to this place ever again worst experience ever. If that was your excuse of apologizing for your bad service then your in for a good one! Had an event not far from this place and so my wife and I decided to go to a local Happy Hour. While there were a lot of places close by I found this place on Yelp and wanted to try something new. It was early [5-7 PM] there were not a lot of people here. They had some live music coming in around 7:30 PM but we would be long gone; again, we were in the area for another event. The place is decorated very nicely. It has a cool vibe and we sat at the bar. They have some great beer specials and my wife like the Cab but really really enjoyed the Sangria. The bartender was very friendly, we had a great conversation. We also ordered some food, the birria tacos were amazing. The spring rolls are all veggies, or so it seemed like that to us. But they do sprinkle some beef and chicken on top. My wife said next time we are going to order the nachos and the birria tacos and put the birria on top of the nachos. Brilliant :) read more

My mango margarita was just okay; I find that cute drinks don't always deliver on quality. On the plus side, the shrimp cocktail was dee-lish-iss, perfectly flavored with no need for Tapatio, ketchup, nada! The bulgogi tacos were too sweet for my husband but I liked them. They came with a side of glass noodles which had some hard inedible pieces. On the other hand, my hubby loved the birria tacos, being a birria connoisseur he knew what he was talking about. We had the best time at this bar in Covina. First timers and it did not disappoint. Cover was 10 dollars and we happen to go on funk, old skool night. Honestly first time here and not impressed the waitress is kind of busy or lost. We ordered 2 beers only brought us one. Then we ordered wings and pizza the she ends up bringing out 2 pizzas. The wings are burnt and looked like they were cooked over and over the pizza was kind of cold. Looks like something I could have made at home from my freezer . They have a small menu so not many options. The music is good since they have a Dj come in and play music it's clean cool and lots of room to walk around.
