Really wanted to like this ube pancake but it tasted nothing like ube. It took around 20 minutes after I ordered which is understandable for a soufflé pancake. However, it was not worth the wait. It tasted just like dough, and the cream was the only thing that was flavorful. But the pancake was so hot that the cream evaporated quite fast. It was not a soufflé texture at all. For $20 at a food court setting I expected more. But was only disappointed and know I'll never come back.

Gravity is working against me And gravity wants to bring me down... Located inside the main doors at Haven City. 4.75/5 Service Service was straight forward. My wife wanted to make a change on the bowl but wasn't able to. 4/5 Food It was good but when you have another plate of food that has more flavor you naturally gravitate towards it. Belly 2 Belly bowl was good but it was just missing that thing to make it memorable. 4/5 Parking Haven City is located in a crowded shopping center so it can get very packed on the weekends and dinner time. Bring your patience. Psalm 72:7; God bless

Garlic Noodles with Shrimp
Eileen M.

Location: haven city market in West Covina I have come here a few times now and you will notice that most places can be ordered through a self service monitor, but there are people there if you have questions. It is a different combination of American brunch and Filipino breakfast, but what got me was the sample plates of food sitting at the counter. The first plate was of garlic noodles and shrimp. I am always on the hunt for some good garlic noodles and this place did not disappoint. They add shrimp that are quite large, like prawn size, approximately 6 of them. It is a bit pricey, with a little tip it came to $20, but it was worth it. I had to save a little less than half ;) for my better half to try the deliciousness. Definitely coming back here.

This "Take ur Seat Lite" location is located in the Haven City food hall in West Covina (right by the entrance). I've been to their other locations in Chino Hills and Ontario. I enjoyed their brunch at the restaurants location. The West Covina location has a limited menu but they still have some of the main food from the restaurant menu. Food: - Rendaaang Curry Bowl - It was meh, I wasn't a fan of it - TUSino Bowl - This was super delicious, full of flavor and tender. I think I will go back again and get the TUSino bowl or belly 2 belly. - Cloud Pancake - These are amazing if you haven't tried their cloud soufflé style pancake. It's so soft and fluffy. I will come back to try other stuff on the menu. The staff are very friendly and helpful on providing feedbacks on the menu.

Longanisa Bowl

Take Ur Seat is located near the front of Haven City entrance with plated examples on the counter. The soufflé pancakes on display drew me in. I ordered the longanisa bowl and pandan cloud pancakes to share. Longanisa Bowl w/ garlic rice - The bowl was very filling with 5 pieces of homemade longanisa. Pandan Cloud Pancakes - These were so fluffy. I loved the Pandan coconut flavor and the mango bits. These were perfect to share with friends.

Take Ur Seat Lite *November 2, 2025 *11:30am- Sunday *3 Stars Environment: *Located in Haven City Market *Large Parking Lot *Indoor and Outdoor Seating Food/Drink: *TUS Style Fries with Tri Tip (Medium) Stopped by for lunch with some friends to split and share. The fries were crispy and enjoyable, but the tri-tip steak was a little dry and lacked flavor. The chimchurri sauce didn't add much to the dish either. Overall, decent for a quick bite, but not as memorable as other spots.

Stopped by The Haven Food Market in Covina and roamed around trying food from different spots. I had a craving for fries with my meal and decided to order the TUS Style Fries from Take Ur Seat Lite. All I can say is these fries did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and definitely hit the spot. It's the kind of side that makes you want to come back just to try the rest of the menu. I'll definitely be returning to explore more of what they offer.

TUS Longa-Sammy! YUM!

I came by Haven City WC to have lunch with a buddy of mine. He had tried Take Ur Seat Lite at this location numerous times so we decided to dine here. They are located in the middle of main entrance. Since it's in Haven city, the foot traffic can get busy, but there are plenty of tables nearby. We browsed the menu on the kiosk and happened to see a Longanisa Breakfast Sandwich. Say less, we both were sold on trying it for ourselves. LOL. It's price at $16 and comes with fries. Just note, the breakfast sammies were not on the physical menu, but listed on the kiosk. The service is pretty much self serve since you can order on the kiosk and wait for the text once it's ready. Our orders didn't take too long to be completed. The TUS Longa-Sammy was loaded up with that fluffy egg, cheese, on a delicious brioche bun. It was tremendous. A true bite of Filipino breakfast in each bite. I'd always been a fan of longanisa as a traditional filipino protein and put it in sandwich form then I'm automatically gonna like it. I didn't know TUS had breakfast sammies at all. Now that I had a chance to try them I'd recommend it. The Longa-Sammy is a great choice at any time of day. Thanks, TUS Lite!

i love that this place opened up so i dont have to drive to chino hills anymore HAHAH this place is great for cloud pancakes and spicy noodles/rice! it's a great combination! their items are made to order so do expect a small wait but the food is good!

Soft Fluffy pancakes . They open around 9AM. I think it's a family run business. We went early brunch time and it hit the spot. The menu diisplay of their many dishes already invites you to try them all. I got the Ube version as well as the pandan flavor. I took it home, just request the icing to be on the side . The take out packaging is very pleasing to the eye, and well developed. Taste is on point , when you take that 1st bite, it is just dreamy, mmm mmm good. Good for brunch, good for lunch

Drove here for the first time to try one of the dishes featured on their Yelp page (rendang curry) but not on their menu. Cashier was helpful in selecting an alternative (tri tip). The dish was good but not memorable. Food court setting so ambiance varies

Super friendly staff and amazing and delicious food. Prefer the pandan over the brulee soufflé pancake because it was more flavorful and had the right amount of cream / syrup to go with it. The breakfast burrito and loganisa sausage was good, the spam musubi is delicious and the so were the pancakes!

Ur In My TOTS
Lam B.

Take Ur Seat Lite is their smaller location, but they still offer a good selection of options. They were especially reliable for takeout as everything was clearly labeled and packaged neatly. *Ur In My Tots: standard tater tots with a light dusting of Parmesan cheese and furikake. The $12 price tag felt a bit steep, especially since half the tots were plain. Some special sauces would have helped elevate the flavors and justify the cost *TUS Style Musubi: a spicier version that worked well, since the Spam was not covered in the usual sweet glaze. The rice was warm but lacked flavor, so the spicy mayo carried the dish. The cut of Spam could have been thicker to balance the two thick layers of rice. *Iced Jasmine Pandan Sweet Tea: incredibly strong jasmine tea with a fragrant aroma. The pandan flavoring added a subtle coconut-like sweetness that complemented the tea. *Ube Cloud Pancake: the pancake was denser than other Japanese pancakes I have tried, but the coconut cream helped mask some of the dryness. The jackfruit added brightness without being overly sweet, which paired nicely with the earthy ube base. Since the pancake itself was not too sweet, the cloud toppings provided a balanced finish. Overall, the Asian inspired dishes were better executed and more appropriately priced compared to the traditional American options. The food leaned toward the drier side, so I would be cautious about choosing items that do not include a sauce.

This is long overdue. Draft needed to be shared hehe. Been…read morehere several times now and it's always delicious and made with attention to detail. Eduardo the owner is ALWAYS very attentive and full of joy to serve us. He checks on us to make sure everything is ok with our orders. Kiren the other owner has been awesome too, since our first visit. She was concerned my daughter wasn't eating. Also, always checking in on us. She remembered us the second time we came and asked if my daughter if she was doing better because the first time we were there she had morning sickness so she couldn't enjoy her food. I love finding hidden GEMS, especially Mexican restaurants, with real Mexican food!! What can I say ?! We love it ! Five times here. No regrets. Always good. Food is delicious! Service is AWESOME! Always so friendly, warm, & helpful since the first time we found them. . :D Can't believe it took me so long to find this hidden gem living nearby and around here all the time. How did I find it ?? Well, how do I, and we all, find all my / our favorite restaurants? I Yelped of course !!! :D I was in the area looking for a good place to eat. I yelped Mexican food and TA DA ! I would have never found it, since it's sort of hidden in an area less traveled, in the shopping center across from the West Covina Mall, behind sushiholics & The Bundt place. Same center where Panera is & Sushiholics, except it's on the back side street, on California Ave. I would have never walked over there, on the backside of the shopping center. Just happy to have found it now! Besides GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD ! We are suckers for birria. So 1st time here we had birria chilaquiles with over medium eggs plate, quesabirria, and ramen birria hehe ! YUMMM Yes, it was good, a little spicy for me, but good. I always have to clarify how I want my eggs at restaurants because believe it or not some cooks don't understand that over medium means soft yolks. They sometimes bring me over hard and that's not what I ordered. Over medium eggs have to be just right! No runny whites and no hard yolk. I explained that to Eduardo when ordering because I didn't want hard or soft; runny & gooey whites ewww. So I'm always very specific. Eduardo said no problem, if we don't get them right we can remake them for you. :D Woohooo ! They were perfect! Not many places get it right the first time, so they always remake them, but not here ! PERFECTION !! Thank you Eduardo!! I was happy ! Can't forget about the coffee!!! Oooh coffee! We love coffee so when the owner told us iced coffee ! Whoa ! Our eyes lit up ! YESSSSS please! It was good as well and when she saw we had finished it, she offered us a free refill. Thank you my new friend! You're the best !!! You made our day !!! We were like we're coming back !!! 2nd time, I had bulgogi breakfast bowl with over medium eggs ! I love eggs with beef ! Who doesn't ?! lol Eggs were perfect ! Beef was perfect too ! My grandson ate all my bulgogi though lol! I guess he liked it too. 3rd time on Friday 7/25/25 Eduardo always very cheerful & welcoming :) I ordered the chicken salad lunch, daughter ordered the green pozole! She's a sucker for green pozole hehe. I loved my salad! It was perfect! The chicken was perfect, pulled pieces with a green dressing that was whoa soooo YUMMMM ! This is making me hungry now. Daughter said pozole was good too Of course we will be back !! Need to try to yellow curry ! Next couple times had to order some previously had dishes like Birria ramen, tacos, pozole and chicken salad. Eduardo also accommodated my grandson, as he loves chicken but we get him grilled chicken. So he made a kids version of the chicken salad and it was just perfect and delicious too. PS good spot for kids too. They have a Foosball table ! So when they get antsy, they can go play! Kids love it and play every time. Great thinking! Thank you for this addition to your restaurant ! It's a plus for us with little ones because it helps with their impatience. This is GOLD !! Thank you Eduardo and Kiren ! We will be back next time we're looking for yummy Mexican food or are nearby. Have you tried ? Let me know if you stop by. I'd love to know what was your favorite dish. Happy eating & happy Yelping ! SYOY or IG ;) PS Support small family owned pro American businesses. IYKYK ;) Our communities need to thrive and it's up to us to help our community have the best services & places to eat. McDonald's isn't going anywhere and neither is Taco Bell or Starbucks. Cash is GOLD ! We need to keep cash alive to be able to have tangible spending money in our hands to give to those in need; not fake money that can be censored by technology like in other countries like the one that starts with Ch... I ordered cafe de olla, which was delicious, my son an ice coffee, and my guy a regular coffee. Service was great, food was good but this time the plate was loaded. My guy didn't care for his chicharron plate, he said "the sauce was tangy, soury tasting." He didn't send it back, but he ate the beans and potatoes, the tortillas were like quesadillas, which he was shocked because he thought it was just tortillas, what a nice surprise. My son had the same as me, and his plate was almost empty. I tapped out because the serving was huge, I was satisfied. The service was a 5+, the ambience was another 5+ but a 4 for the chicharron plate. Maybe it was slightly off. Will definitely come back again..

I took my mom here for a Mother's Day brunch and my birthday celebration because it falls around…read morethe same time every year. I am so glad we chose Hide Out Cafe in Rowland Heights to have our celebration. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly, and the cafe is so cozy and welcoming. My brother was sponsoring our meal since he couldn't make it, so of course we had to go all out and order two drinks and two main dishes. (Thank you, big brother)! I got the Boba Bear Set $8.50, which comes with a drink and two house-made cookies, and my mom got their Tiramisu Latte $7.00, which is heavy on the coffee liquor, to be honest, but we had fun with it. The drinks are crafted beautifully, and with the open cafe concept, you can see they pay attention to the small details of their crafted drink menu. The house-made cookies that were a part of my Boba Bear Set are not to be forgotten. The cookies are buttery, decadent, and delicious; they are the perfect tea cookies to pair with! I can't wait to go back and try more of their fun drinks and maybe bring a study book the next time. For our main dishes, we shared the Chimi Wagyu & Frites $35.00, and the Fresh Avocado Toast $19.00. We both love eggs so of course we had to get something with eggs in our dish. My mom loved her avocado toast, and they were very generous with the avocado as well on there. The salad is a definite hit with us and included a great dressing on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly on top of our toast and steak. The frites with my steak were crispy and seasoned well. I also loved the chimi sauce with my steak as well. The portion was huge so we were able to take some back home to enjoy another day. Overall, my mom and I had a great experience and would absolutely come back for another sip of their lattes and try another fun drink on their menu. We left with happy smiles and full stomachs, and can't wait to come back soon.

It's a brown sugar milk tea with caramel foam with a floating frozen milk tea bear. ADORABLE!! The set even includes two house-made cookies. WOW! TASTY!! (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring card or contactless payment.) I arrived at Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) on Wednesday (around 10:21AM). Parking is very easy. The lot is big. However, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is very hidden. It has no visibility from the street! Staff is very professional and welcoming. Staff politely and cheerfully answered all my questions. Staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. For example, the location does not have a paper menu; all the menus are accessed via QR Code. Fortunately, Staff let me borrow their iPad which allowed me to see the menu on a larger screen. When I'd arrived, Staff asked if I was dine-in or to-go. I was immediately seated. When I'd inquired about the boba. Staff honestly told me that they needed 15 additional minutes to prepare the boba. I brightly waited. All in all, after the 15 minute wait, the drink took an additional 10 minutes before being ready. As mentioned, I ordered the Boba Bear Set ($8.50). CUTE!!! It's a very aesthetic and memorable presentation. The boba pearls came perfect; they're bouncy, perky, and playful. The brown sugar milk tea mixed with the caramel foam tasted honey-like. It's very TASTY! My biggest nitpick is that the amount felt tiny. Still, it's a wonderful memory that I'm so happy to experience! On ambiance, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is comfortable and clean. There's about 13 interior tables, and there's six patio tables. The music is slow-tempo, and the tall ceiling made it feel spacious. In addition, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) has utility. There's customer internet with password; details are available on the QR code menu. There's also about four electrical outlets. I also appreciated the self-service water station. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) felt very hidden yet well-maintained. It's a lovely spot. Overall, I had a magical, memorable experience. I discovered AMAZING milk tea and many precious memories. If searching for someplace special, I happily recommend. 4.9 out of 5

Long overdue review for Tai Ping Sa Choi Kee. We used to dine at their Rowland Heights location…read moreyears ago and recently rediscovered them in Hacienda Heights. Since then, it's become one of our regular spots when we're craving certain dishes that are hard to find done this well. It's easily become one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Our repeat favorites: beef with black bean sauce (off-menu), shredded chicken (seasoned well), crispy fish with spicy salt (crispy with a kick), typhoon pork ribs (put the seasoned crumbs on your rice - yum!), chinese broccoli with dried fish (love the stems), shrimp cakes (crispy exterior bouncy inside) and beef chow fun (tender beef and abundant noodles). Their fried dishes are light, not greasy and leftovers re-crisp in the air fryer. Their lemon tea is refreshing and comes with 1 refill. If I had to recommend just 1 dish to try it would be the shredded chicken or the typhoon pork ribs (or fish if you prefer). Or just ask the ladies for suggestions and they'll lead you the right way. Decor is clean and simple. Service is always friendly, and the food comes out fast, hot, and consistently satisfying.
