This is a must try! Ube, mango, and avocado.

This is a must try place. We ordered the pancakes flight. Ube, mango and avocado. The ube sauce is made with rich coconut cream, giving it an authentic flavor instead of the artificial "milk" taste that some places use. The mango sauce was delicious you can really taste the fresh mango purée in every bite. The avocado sauce was also excellent and adds a creamy, unique touch. Overall, these are some of the best pancakes I've ever had. We also ordered breakfast plate with Lechon. For me Garlic rice was dry but lechon was good. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

My family had visited Lola's before and wanted me to give it a try, so we stopped by on a Monday for brunch/early lunch. We were seated quickly upon arrival. Menus are available via QR code at the table, though physical menus can also be requested. Service seemed a bit stretched, as there was only one gentleman handling seating, drinks, and orders, along with two kitchen staff members helping run food. Adobo Rice Omelet ($14.95): Garlic rice with chopped chicken adobo wrapped in a thin egg omelet, topped with adobo gravy, fried garlic, and scallions. The chicken was a little dry, and the gravy leaned saltier than I prefer. This isn't a dish I'd order again. Iloko Moco ($19.95): Country fried steak over garlic rice with two eggs, finished with adobo gravy, green onions, and fried garlic. This was definitely the standout dish for me. The chicken was crispy yet tender, and the thinly sliced Thai chilies offered on the side added a delicious kick. Ube Pancakes ($14.95): Two pancakes topped with ube sauce and garnished with shaved almonds, toasted coconut, and powdered sugar. The pancakes themselves were a bit chewy rather than fluffy, but the ube sauce was absolutely phenomenal and made the dish enjoyable overall. Lola's is located in the same plaza as Haven City Food Hall and GW Supermarket, with a shared parking lot for several businesses. Parking can get pretty crowded during peak hours and some spaces are on the tighter side.

Thai tea French toast, breakfast poutine with Loganisa, and Silog breakfast bowl with tocino

Tried this brunch place out for the first time, and it was really good! I would come back to try other things on the menu. My group got there at 10AM on a Sunday, and there was no line/wait. I did see a line start to form outside the door around 10:40 AM. Parking was easy to find at this time. The store is small and cute with lots of tropical vibes. Food was overall good! We ordered four dishes to share between three people: the silog breakfast bowl with tocino, poutine with longanisa, iloko moco, and Thai tea french toast. Portion size was good. We had some leftovers, which were enough for me to eat as my dinner later that day. My favorite was the poutine; it was so crispy and went well with the egg and longanisa! The only problem was that the tater tots got soggy after about 10 minutes so they were not as good afterward. The iloko moco and breakfast bowl were also good. For meats, i liked both the longanisa and tocino. The meats were flavorful and not too salty. I was not a fan of the Thai tea french toast because it was way too sweet for me. The Thai tea flavor was very strong. That being said, my brother liked it. He actually asked for additional maple syrup to pour on top of the French toast because he wanted it EXTRA sweet. If you have a sweet tooth, this may be the dish for you.

First time here. Cute and clean place, nicely decorated with a mural of Lola. Our server was friendly and attentive. Parking can be difficult as there are so many eateries in the same plaza. Located outside next to Haven City. Our food was so tasty and flavorful. My breakfast bowl with the crispy pork belly was so filling. The fat on the pork belly melted in my mouth. It was crisp just right not charred. Our server suggested Maggi on the garlic rice and he was right, it was delish! The salmon sisig was tender and had the right amount of seasoning. I have never had Filipino brunch and this was such a great experience. I can't wait to bring hubby here... will definitely be back.

First off, thank you to the workers for still letting us dine in even though we were cutting it very close time-wise . We ordered a ton of food, and everything was delicious! For drinks, I got the ube cold brew while my friend got the buko pandan cold brew. Totally biased, but I loved the ube one more -- and ironically, she did too . That's not to say the buko pandan wasn't good; the ube was just richer and creamier while the buko pandan had a more subtle flavor. I ordered the Chilaquiles Filipinas with longanisa and it was absolutely worth having longanisa burps for the rest of the day (iykyk). My friends got the silog breakfast bowl with longanisa and the two egg breakfast with lechon kawali. The kawali was super crunchy without being overly fatty, and shoutout to our server for bringing us extra mang tomas LOL. Now for the real star of the show: the ube pancakes. I still think about them. So fluffy, decadent, and delicious. HIGHLY recommend ordering them, especially with a savory dish to balance everything out. The restaurant itself had a fun, lively brunch vibe and was pretty busy when we went. Truthfully, the only downside was finding parking, but that's definitely not Lola's fault

Why haven't I been here sooner??? Went to Lolas after church because my husband was looking for a place with good waffle or pancakes. Saw that this place has a good pancake selection so suggested that we finally go and check Lolas out. We got seated right away since the lunch rush hasn't arrived yet. Cute little spot with pieces of the filipino culture sprinkled in their decor. We ordered their special salmon belly sisig (not yet on the menu), burger steak loco moco, fruity pebbles ube pancake, and the ube cold brew. O. M. G. Sooooooo good. All of it especially the salmon belly sisig (make it part of the menu please!). Check them out! They are open for brunch and totally a must try if you are in the area.

Such a delicious Filipino brunch spot! All the servers were soooo sweet and helpful. I loved all the decor. I suggest getting the cold brew flight! My parents and we were able to try all of their flavors. The ube French toast is a must! I got it with a side of chicken adobo. Deliciousssss! My dad got the bangus and omg it was amazing. My mom got a tocino. My dad loved it. My mom didn't really like that it was saucey. The nice waiter gave her a new tocino with less sauce which was nice and he definitely didn't have to do that. I'm definitely coming back with my husband and older daughter. I know they'll love it too.

Seeing all the positive reviews for this place, I've been wanting to try for myself and it did not disappoint! As soon as we entered, we were greeted warmly and promptly seated. The place was cozy and felt like we had stepped inside Lola's kitchen. Our server was friendly, made suggestions and came to check on us couple of times. I ordered the salmon sisig (which came with a side of garlic rice) and my friend got the longanisa plate. For the drinks, we ordered mango juice and Milo cold brew. Everything was delicious but the real highlight for me was the Salmon Belly Sisig. It came out on a sizzling plate and the portion was more than enough for two. It had the right amount of tartness and I liked the crispy bits on top for added texture. Highly recommend and would definitely be back!

Interior - "Psst. Look to the right. There's a Happy Staff Member."

I had a lovely experience at Lolas (West Covina). I ordered the Silog Breakfast Bowl ($15); I selected Longanisa (additional $2). The meal includes garlic rice, sunny side up egg, tomato salad, and a choice of meat (ex: beef tapa, chicken adobo, spam, etc). It's TASTY! The food is very fresh, well-prepared, and clean. I arrived at Lolas (West Covina) on Thursday (around 10:27AM). Parking is surprisingly easy because it's early; however, the lot is shared with the popular Haven City Market which is notorious for competitive, busy parking. Staff is exceedingly friendly, smiley, and personable. Staff regularly walked from table-to-table to chat and connect with customers. If you peak at my attached "interior photo," Staff sneakily snuck a happy pose. Staff is also efficient; I was helped immediately. The food took five minutes and 29 seconds!! EXTREMELY fast. As mentioned, I enjoyed the Silog Breakfast Bowl w/ Longanisa ($17). The food felt modernized for a more health conscious consumer; it lacked the saltiness typically associated with traditional Filipino food. Curiously, the Longanisa lacked the familiar "SNAP" when bitten into; rather, it offered a very soft, tender body usually found at a BBQ restaurant. These sausages were different but pleasant; they're sweet, plump, and gentle. Its rice is also a little dry, but it successfully carried the loving flavor of fresh garlic. Still, the cooked sunny side egg is the meal's showstopper, perfectly prepared and seductive. All in all, this meal arrived with a very picturesque and attractive appearance. It's a gorgeous and tasty dish. Concerning ambiance, Lolas (West Covina) is sleek and clean. The air felt fresh and well-ventilated. There's many tables, and the music is strong and upbeat like a nightclub. I appreciated the greenery and lovely artwork on its wall. Overall, I had a lovely experience at Lolas (West Covina). The food is delicious, fresh, and cooked lovingly. I found pleasant memories at Lolas (West Covina). If you enjoy Filipino food, this is an easy recommendation. 5 out of 5. "Just go."

I want to try EVERYTHING on the menu. We discovered and came in today by accident and as Bob Ross would say, "It's a happy accident" The inside is beautiful and gives you all the island vibes, including the music. The fusion of Filipino and islands is EVERYTHING. Beautiful decor. The service absolutely sweet and top notch, and the food arrived so quickly. He got the sizzling tuna sisig and it was absolutely bomb. And served with garlic rice! I got the country fried steak adobo loco moco and it did not disappoint. Crispy, flavorful, garlic, sauces but not overly sauced. Over garlic rice and two perfect cooked eggs. It didn't stand a chance to be ALL eaten. Cannot wait to come back to try breakfast!! Also, the Ube cold brew coffee is heaven.

Great Filipino food and not too packed. Loved the decor and the plating of the food. Enjoyed the Hawaiian music and friendly service.

Tried the iloko moco and the cold brew flight Their loco moco is crispy thin country fried steak over white rice, topped the 2 sunny side up eggs and gravy. Very tasty and I enjoyed it with the table vinegar and Tomas sauce The cold brew flight includes a double shot of their ube, pandan, Thai iced, and Milo chocolate. All good, gave me a chance to sample each. Favorites are pandan and Milo chocolate. Staff are very friendly, attentive.

I genuinely want to like this café because it's a local small business, and I prefer supporting local businesses whenever I can. Unfortunately, today's experience was disappointing. :/ I ordered a double matcha latte with vanilla, and it cost $10 for what looked like a 13-16 oz cup filled to the brim with ice. It felt like there was very little actual drink, especially for the price. I expected much better value. Another thing I don't understand is why they call out the drink name instead of the customer's name when orders are ready. On a previous visit, someone else grabbed my drink because we had ordered the same thing. Calling customers by name would make much more sense and would help avoid this issue. What really frustrated me today was that they don't put lids on iced drinks before handing them to customers. The lids are difficult to snap on, and when I tried putting mine on myself, I spilled about a quarter of my drink. Two employees saw it happen and didn't offer to help, apologize, or replace the spilled drink. That lack of customer service was disappointing. I really wanted to enjoy this place because I like supporting local businesses, but between the expensive drinks, the excessive amount of ice, the confusing pickup system, and the lack of customer service today, I'm not sure I'll be back. I hope they make a few small changes because I think the overall customer experience could be much better.
