    Salmon belly sisig
    Kara S.

Why haven't I been here sooner??? Went to Lolas after church because my husband was looking for a place with good waffle or pancakes. Saw that this place has a good pancake selection so suggested that we finally go and check Lolas out. We got seated right away since the lunch rush hasn't arrived yet. Cute little spot with pieces of the filipino culture sprinkled in their decor. We ordered their special salmon belly sisig (not yet on the menu), burger steak loco moco, fruity pebbles ube pancake, and the ube cold brew. O. M. G. Sooooooo good. All of it especially the salmon belly sisig (make it part of the menu please!). Check them out! They are open for brunch and totally a must try if you are in the area.

I want to try EVERYTHING on the menu. We discovered and came in today by accident and as Bob Ross would say, "It's a happy accident" The inside is beautiful and gives you all the island vibes, including the music. The fusion of Filipino and islands is EVERYTHING. Beautiful decor. The service absolutely sweet and top notch, and the food arrived so quickly. He got the sizzling tuna sisig and it was absolutely bomb. And served with garlic rice! I got the country fried steak adobo loco moco and it did not disappoint. Crispy, flavorful, garlic, sauces but not overly sauced. Over garlic rice and two perfect cooked eggs. It didn't stand a chance to be ALL eaten. Cannot wait to come back to try breakfast!! Also, the Ube cold brew coffee is heaven.

Tried the iloko moco and the cold brew flight Their loco moco is crispy thin country fried steak over white rice, topped the 2 sunny side up eggs and gravy. Very tasty and I enjoyed it with the table vinegar and Tomas sauce The cold brew flight includes a double shot of their ube, pandan, Thai iced, and Milo chocolate. All good, gave me a chance to sample each. Favorites are pandan and Milo chocolate. Staff are very friendly, attentive.

I had a lovely experience at Lolas (West Covina). I ordered the Silog Breakfast Bowl ($15); I selected Longanisa (additional $2). The meal includes garlic rice, sunny side up egg, tomato salad, and a choice of meat (ex: beef tapa, chicken adobo, spam, etc). It's TASTY! The food is very fresh, well-prepared, and clean. I arrived at Lolas (West Covina) on Thursday (around 10:27AM). Parking is surprisingly easy because it's early; however, the lot is shared with the popular Haven City Market which is notorious for competitive, busy parking. Staff is exceedingly friendly, smiley, and personable. Staff regularly walked from table-to-table to chat and connect with customers. If you peak at my attached "interior photo," Staff sneakily snuck a happy pose. Staff is also efficient; I was helped immediately. The food took five minutes and 29 seconds!! EXTREMELY fast. As mentioned, I enjoyed the Silog Breakfast Bowl w/ Longanisa ($17). The food felt modernized for a more health conscious consumer; it lacked the saltiness typically associated with traditional Filipino food. Curiously, the Longanisa lacked the familiar "SNAP" when bitten into; rather, it offered a very soft, tender body usually found at a BBQ restaurant. These sausages were different but pleasant; they're sweet, plump, and gentle. Its rice is also a little dry, but it successfully carried the loving flavor of fresh garlic. Still, the cooked sunny side egg is the meal's showstopper, perfectly prepared and seductive. All in all, this meal arrived with a very picturesque and attractive appearance. It's a gorgeous and tasty dish. Concerning ambiance, Lolas (West Covina) is sleek and clean. The air felt fresh and well-ventilated. There's many tables, and the music is strong and upbeat like a nightclub. I appreciated the greenery and lovely artwork on its wall. Overall, I had a lovely experience at Lolas (West Covina). The food is delicious, fresh, and cooked lovingly. I found pleasant memories at Lolas (West Covina). If you enjoy Filipino food, this is an easy recommendation. 5 out of 5. "Just go."

Service was super friendly and the food was really good. Got the longanisa breakfast burrito and it was on the sweeter side, but sooo flavorful. Would definitely come back to try other dishes

OBSESSED!!! I looooove the Anaheim location and I am a frequent flyer there but this was my first time at the West Covina location and I had such a great time! The vibes here are lighter and brighter and I like it! Similar setup but the more importantly the food is still SO good. We tried the ahi tuna sisig for the first time and it was pretty good! Always try to get the brunch kamayan if i have someone to share it with cuz it's so so yummy! also not pictured is the Thai tea cold brew. That is pretty sweet, but luckily up my alley, so it was delicious to me! The staff here are always great and super kind. If you have any hesitations about ordering something, just ask for clarification on the ingredients or taste so you know what you're getting yourself into lol. If you're a fan of the Anaheim location, you'll be a fan of this location as well. So hyped for them to be in this area!

Had a girls day out with my sis in law with her mom and my mom. We came here for lunch and the parking is horrible. You are fighting for a spot with people going to the food hall so be prepared. The restaurant is located next to the claw machine place. Food was great! We ordered the Brunch Kamayan. It definitely fed us 4 with some left overs. If the husbands were in our place, we would probably ly need to order at least another dish. Everyone like at least 2 of the 4 meats, but every single meat was like by atheist 1 person. With all our different taste buds, we all enjoyed the meal. Everything was delicious! The drinks and food are . Will definitely come back to try the other dishes. I had the Lola's Milk Tea made with Buko Pandan... it was soooo good. A mush try. We did order a sandwich togo for my brother but don't have a review for that. Just know that the sandwich is thick. Come check them out! I'd definitely be back.

    Silog Breakfast Bowl - Chicken

We got this order to go. We ordered a Silog Breakfast Bowl with Chicken and my bf got the Jeepney Breakfast burrtio. The breakfast bowl was pretty nice, it taste very home made, but the flavors were all pretty interesting since I never had filipino breakfast before! Chicken is more on the sour side, but that's because of the flavoring. Garlic rice was really nice! The tomatoes were also kinda sour, but didn't really mind it. My bf had the breakfast burrito, which he said the first few bites were pretty plain. It does taste better when you have a bite with the sauce that's inside, which I thought was pretty good! My critique on it though, is that everything inside the burrito was quite chunky, so if it was cut up more, I would have personally liked it more. Although, the sauce with the cheese was pretty nice with it. Overall, solid filipino breakfast option in the area! Should definitely dine here next time since it looks like a cute spot!

Came in for early Mother's Day brunch. Excellent food, service and ambiance! We had a little of everything - Adobo omelette, Ilocos Mocos, Bangus-silog and Ube pancakes. All very tasty and everyone was satisfied and happy with their meals. We also had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Henry who was super cool and most hospitable! Definitely recommend!

Came here with my bestie because we were craving some Filipino food and wanted a cute sit-down spot to try something new. She's obsessed with longanisa, so I already knew that had to be part of the order. First impressions: service was super friendly, the place is small but really cute, clean, and welcoming. Parking is easy since it's in the plaza at Haven City--huge plus. I decided to try their milkfish because I kept seeing posts about it and got excited. Unfortunately... it wasn't what I expected. The texture was nice and fluffy, but it was so underseasoned that no amount of sauce could save it (unless that's how it's traditionally meant to be?). It tasted really bland, and even the tomato and cucumber salad on the side had no flavor. Sadly, my dish was a letdown--6/10 for me. My bestie's longanisa dish was better. She said the longanisa was good, rice was fine, and overall she'd give it a 7/10. Not amazing, but solid. Service and ambiance were definitely the highlights--friendly staff, cute spot, and easy parking. Food-wise though, it didn't fully hit for us. Probably not a place I'd go back to for the food, but I'm glad we tried it once!

Saw this spot on tiktok and wanted to give it a try. Filipino brunch with a modern twist. The music brings me back to middle school with AJ Rafael playing. Service is fast and everyone is friendly and accommodating. It's a place you can eat with family and friends at. Food is delicious and I love that they have spoons and fork on the table. My favorite so far is the tosilog bowl. I'll be coming back!

    That brunch vibe at Lola's

Lola's By MFK is new breakfast and brunch place in West Covina. It's a modern casual dining that offer traditional fresh Filipino cuisine as well as classic American breakfast such as Pancakes and French toasts. Their menu is compendious that customers will surely love. Interior layout was modest with a dash of Philippine culture. I love the portrait of their Lola at the front corner. I came today for Brunch after a late night Yelp Elite Holiday Awards at Whittier in which I won an award. They were one of the food vendors that's why I came....prolly bec of a girl. Lol. Anyways, back to this review. I perused their brunch menu and opted for a Bang-siliog (Milk fish meal) and drip coffee. Food was delightfully fresh and tasty. Coffee was good. Staff were great and affable especially that young adorable lady. Food portion was above average; prices were fair. Service was spot on. Overall, I enjoyed eating at Lola's. I highly recommend you visit.

We went here 2 weeks ago for an early celebration for my husband's birthday with family. We arrived about 12PM and were seated quickly since there was no wait. We were a party of 9. We were greeted as we walked in by the entire staff. The restaurant is a bit small and they are only open for breakfast and brunch from 8:30-2PM. To note, you can hold a big group dinner/party after hours if you request online for the kamayan dinner. I ordered the Silog Breakfast Bowl with Birria. It comes with garlic rice, tomato salad and a sunny side up egg. For my drink, I ordered the Calamansi Hibiscus Agua Fresca. I loved the presentation! The color contrast really made the plate pop. The flavor was all there with the birria. However, it was a bit dry. Normally, a side of consommé is served or offered with birria, but here I didn't see the option. For me, I would have liked to have it with this dish. I finished half of my plate and took the rest home. The drink was the right balance of refreshing and not too sweet. The drink was not too sweet. Our server was very helpful and recommended good menu items for our entire party. The restaurant and restrooms are very clean. I would come back to Lola's to try more items in the future.
