My boyfriend wandered in here after playing claw machines to check out their unique variety of snacks. He ended up picking up this crepe cake that the cashier suggested. The layers were very delicate, yet delightful. It tasted pretty good. Came with mango and coconut toppers.

Nice to have an actual Thai dessert spot, to save you a trip from driving in to Thai town Hollywood. There are just certain things you could never get anywhere else, like the woon kati, thong yoo, and khanom chan. Ovaltine based drinks are pretty damn Thai as it gets. Their tables have a lot of counter space, which makes it a pretty spacious meet-up spot with friends. What I would never order again though, is the kanom klok. It's like a coconut cream mini pancakes. Sometimes they say you can feel the emotions of a chef expressed through their dish. And what was served to me tasted like someone afflicted with depression and economic suicide. I've order kanom klok all over the place, around Bangkok, the Thai Temple in Hollywood, the occasional Thai street market or in Thai Town Hollywood. But I've never been so disappointed by something so devoid of taste, joy, and sweetness.

Khanom buang Thai crispy pancakes Size small 8 pieces for $8

I was very excited when I heard that this new Thai dessert place opened near me as I've been going to Thai town to get desserts. It's great that there is a soft opening special of bogo free drink, but went inside and saw that the pandan coconut milk drink is excluded so I didn't order any drinks as I didn't want any smoothies. Looked at the dessert menu and saw some items already went up in price. I decided to try the khanom buang Thai crispy pancakes. I got the size small for $8 which came with 8 pieces. I was told to wait a minute as the lady went to grab and pack it. I was hoping it'd be nice and hot, but I'd probably have to come in the morning for it? The place is pretty big .. quite a few tables and there's a snack section. Nothing really caught my eye though. Hopefully they can expand it soon and offer more choices. So I finally got to try this Thai crispy pancakes, and.... It wasn't what I expected. I can't quite pinpoint but I feel like it's an acquired taste. This is the first time trying it so it might just be me. I usually buy desserts from the Thai dessert place in Thai town, but I didn't get to try that one so I have nothing to compare to. Overall, this place is big, clean, and the lady was very nice. Hopefully there are more desserts to be added to the menu in the near future so I can come back.

A new Thai dessert spot opened on 2/14. It is located outside the West Covina Haven City Market. Ordered: Khanom Chan - Thai layer cake- similar to Vietnamese dessert. It was perfect sweetness and it was good. Strawberry Banana Avocado Yogurt Smoothie and Lemon Honey drink. Both were refreshing drinks. Friendly staff. Ambiance is nice and very spacious.

Staff is great and friendly, knowledgeable on their extensive menu from savory meals to sweets! Mango Yogurt Smoothie was perfect for hot day, not too sweet. Bits of fresh mango. There's snacks from Thailand on side to browse while you wait for your drinks.

So excited that we finally have a Thai dessert spot closer. I dont have to drive all the way to Thai Town or the temple. Sweet Bee is located the same plaza as Haven City. Employees are great! They recommended lot of great options but i only got to try 2 of their desserts. Tako - 5/5 Thai Puddle with Coconut and sago. Piak Poon - 3/5 Pandan Sweet Pudding. It was good but the pandan flavor was not that strong. I also bought a box of Thai crispy crepe. The employee did tell me that it tasted like crackers and it does! Next time I have to get the fresh crepe. Can't wait to try other desert options!

Been looking for a place to get Thai desserts for a while and found this place which recently opened. This place did not disappointment. We got the Thai coconut pancakes, Tokyo pancakes (Thai tea, custard, pandan, and chocolate), and Thai pudding with coconut topping. Everything tasted delicious. They are sweet but not overly sweet. I tend to eat less sweet than average so this will probably be just right for others. Service was good, the lady at the front was very helpful and provided recommendations. The desserts came out pretty fast. The store is spacious with plenty of tables and seats to come with family or friends. The store is located in a pretty busy plaza as Haven City Market so parking can be a bit difficult during the busy hours. I recommend this place and plan to come back to try their other desserts.

I had been waiting for this place to open up since I have very limited experience with Thai desserts outside of mango sticky rice. The inside is very clean and open. I was helped by a very nice lady and she gave us her recommendations--I'm glad she did! I got the avocado smoothie, the orange smoothie, khanom buang, and khanom chan. The avocado smoothie was sweetened by honey and tasted very fresh. The orange smoothie was very refreshing- slightly tart but still balanced. The khanom buang is my favorite- crunchy and surprisingly floral. I think the inside is shredded egg yolk and as someone who doesn't really like eggs, I was so pleasantly surprised by it. Delicious! The khanom chan is very reminiscent of Filipino Sapin Sapin. Very yummy. I highly recommend these desserts since they're unique in the area and not too sweet.

First of all walking in the place is very nicely decorated, warmly lit. Very inviting with their fun old school hit playlist, that I could tell they take very seriously lol. The service was great. My waiter was a young handsome man. I forget his name I apologize. He was very kind and he let me sample the Horchata cold brew, but I ended up going with the Ube cold brew, which was actually really really good. The Ube flavor was there, but wasn't overbearing. The chilaquiles were really good. The salsa was very good, cery sweet tomatillos, the only thing I personally didn't care for was the runny egg however it was my fault for not asking them to cook it fully cause that's how I eat eggs. However, I know that The runny egg is kind of like a cultural thing. I definitely wanna come back and try their other stuff.

Soft Opening Thai dessert + snacks for you! We came out of. curiosity and everything went great! They're having BOGO for drinks for Soft opening and we enjoyed our drinks We ordered Crispy pancake and the soft ones ( forgot what it's called) it takes time to make ( love it when it's fresh) Def 10/10 Support this local business, the ambiance is perfect to hangout

Friendly staff! It was our first time here and they gave us some pandan treats. We enjoyed it and it wasn't sweet at all. We will have to order it next time. As for this visit we ordered the mango yogurt and avocado. The avocado had fresh avocado, milk and honey, such a decadent drink and dessert all in one. The mango was good too but it didn't taste like a fresh mango. Will come back for the avocado

A nice little Thai dessert place with lots of delicious authentic Thai desserts. Lots of the items here are things most people have never had or heard of including myself, but that's what makes it so much more interesting to try out. They have drinks too and some really good ones too. I got to try the Mango Yogurt Smoothie and the Coconut Smoothie for the drinks. For my dessert I had tried Peuak Thod which is fried banana. The batter to it has a little sweetness almost like a beignet but the Thai version of it. I really enjoyed them all as it was different. I would have tried more but unfortunately I came in right as they were closing. There's a nice seating area inside and I wanted to take my time and enjoy everything while I was there. Along with desserts, they also make food and snacks. Definitely worth trying when in West Covina.

    (L-R) Avocado shake Ovaltine
    Cristine G.

For their soft opening week they have BOGO any drink, so we ordered the avocado honey shake and my son wanted the Ovaltine. Most of their items were still unavailable, we were able to order the Khanom Buang, Khanom Tokyo, and fried bananas. The Khanom Buang is a thin and crispy crepe folded like a taco with sweet cream and cheese filling. The Khanom Tokyo are 4 pieces of rolled pancake with different flavor fillings- custard, pandan, chocolate, Thai tea. The best choice was the fried banana. They came out piping hot, crispy outside, soft and sweet bananas inside. The avocado honey shake was not too sweet the Ovaltine drink did not hit the spot. The shop was clean, with some packaged snacks lining up one side of the store. Service was friendly.

They let me know all the different desserts and options. They also explained pricing and availability to me. They showed me all the different toppings that they have for not just ice cream and sundaes, but crêpes as well. Considering I walked in here, thinking that this was strictly an ice cream place, they have a very large menu. One thing that I remember very fondly about my visit here was not that there were a lot of people here, but the people that were dining in, they were mostly families with children. That may not seem like an important thing, but to me, seeing that is precious More often than not, you see children, their parents, and even their parents parents. So sometimes you get a small group of people, but really you have three generations. Quality time like that is absolutely precious and to see them so engaged in conversation with one another and laughing the entire time and sharing dessert, that was so awesome. Sharing ice cream with my dad at an ice cream parlor near our home is a very fond memory for me. So I guess that's why I paid attention to this while we died at scoop Street. When I took a moment to take a step back and look at our little family, we also were there in our lil three generational group: me, my kiddo & my Mom. The prices here are more than reasonable. The ice cream that is used for their desserts is from thrifty. The waffle cones are made in house and smell amazing. There really wasn't anything more than I could've asked of this visit to the ice cream shop. This was so special. Servers: Art & Austin

Friendly young staff but service was slow and inattentive. They primarily serve Thrifty Ice Cream, a classic Southern California brand. The shop's main draw is the funnel cake. The Churro-Chata, topped with horchata ice cream and mini churros is our favorite. Portions are big and shareable. Also, they bake cookies and brownies in-house daily using family recipes to use in their custom ice cream sandwiches and sundaes. Plenty of parking since it's located in a strip mall.

Ironically, Churro Boss (Covina) offers better quality ice cream than churros. I arrived at Churro Boss (Covina) on Sunday (around 2:35PM). Staff is very welcoming and attentive. Staff speaks English and Spanish. Staff answered all my questions. I ordered the Churro Sundae ($10). This dessert includes one scoop of ice cream and two six inch churros. I selected the Chocolate Malted Crunch ice cream scoop. The entire dessert was ready in eight minutes and 16 seconds. The dessert arrived picturesque. The Churro Sundae ($10) is attractive and fairly large; however, its taste is underwhelming. Although it felt like the churros were made-to-order in the backroom, the churros tasted bitter, chewy, and overcooked. These churros also lacked sweetness. Rather, these big churros tasted like chunky breadcrumbs. Fortunately, the Chocolate Malted Crunch ice cream scoop tasted delicious! It had an addictive crumbly texture. The ice cream also carried a chill and creamy chocolate flavor. Regarding ambiance, Churro Boss (Covina) is lackluster. It feels empty. The only seating is one long counter which had splotchy dried stains and crumbs. The location also has no restroom. Customers need to use their bottle of hand sanitizer or napkins if searching to clean their hands. There's two electric wall sockets in the far corner. And steady country music played in the background. Churro Boss (Covina) tries to be be modern and minimalistic. Overall, Churro Boss (Covina) offers tasty ice cream and pleasant service. Unfortunately, its churros are overpriced and somewhat unpleasant. If searching for some tasty ice cream, this location holds potential. 3.5 out of 5
