Food and drink we had: mango matcha cloud, namu breakfast, and bulgogi sandwich. They were all very good! The namu breakfast was well balanced and the dressing for the salad was super good. Bulgogi was sweet just how I like it. The reason for minus one star- the service wasn't really good. The girl was not super friendly. Not paying attention. I didn't want to raise my voice with only 3 groups in the restaurant so I had to keep waiving at her.
Glad I was able to stumble across this wonderful restaurant! Namu Kitchen has such a welcoming and homy feel the moment you walk in. The staff welcomes you with open arms and are very proud of their unique menu items.  Namu Breakfast Plate (5/5) Such a vibrant plate to begin your morning! What I loved about this plate was how balanced it is. The kale was actually crispy & cooked well; the touch of parmesan gave it a nice flavor to pair. The mushrooms were generous in portion size and were soft, which paired well with the eggs. What's really cool about this plate is that you have the option to choose which homemade jam you want with your toast, and they have a mango jam option. Completely unique, and I'm glad I ordered it! Lastly, Korean sausages for protein? A well-rounded meal for the books.  French Toast (5/5) The brioche was cooked to perfection. Super fluffy and soft on the inside, but crispy and toasty on the outside crust. I'm a huge texture person when it comes to my food and this was such a pleasant experience when taking my first bite. Just the right amount of sweetness with the syrup, would definitely get it again.
As a Korean American trust me I know a taste of Korean food. This place has more like fusion-styled Korean dishes, yet they are so delish! This is my absolute favorite spot for late lunch after a round of golf nearby. You don't have Yelp anymore to look up a coffee place. Their coffee is great enough to enjoy with dishes. You will see yourself gulping up their coffee before you even get your main dish and ending up ordering another cup after done eating. Cozy interiors and cute decorations. Clean and optimal temperature, very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and attentive to all our needs.
I needed a café to work in around the City of Industry West Covina area and I'm so glad to have found Namu Kitchen! It's an incredibly spacious area with stable Wi-Fi and a great menu that I wish I tried more of. I ordered a strawberry Matcha latte and a Namu breakfast platter. Look at that spread! You got your protein, fruits, and vegetables. The waiter who sat me down and took my order was very nice and patient while I looked over the menu and tried to decide what I wanted to eat. Overall, I would come back again to try the rest of their menu, but I'm so glad that there is a Korean Wi-Fi café! The whole plaza has a variety of Asian food so maybe now I don't have to drive all the way down to Santa Ana to get my fixing that I can't get in SGV!
It's a coffee spot as well as a brunch cafe. We've come to eat, and other times we just order coffee & lattes and do a little work. The owners are husband & wife and are truly the sweetest! Their cafe is great way to introduce yourself to home style korean comfort foods and the best KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) Plenty of tables to study/work or dine at. Clean, warm tones and greenery for the ambiance. Some faves we love: Food- Dweji Gomtang, KFC, Beef Bulgogi Rice bowl. Drinks- Double Chocolate Mocha Latte, Mango Matcha, Blueberry Hibiscus Tea Come support this cozy, corner brunch spot nestled in the GW Plaza!
Wonderful service and beautifully presented food. My sister and I enjoyed this cute and cozy Korean style brunch spot. We shared the Namu plate, avocado toast w poached egg, and vanilla latte. Everything was as delicious as it looked. Looking forward to coming back again to try other items on the menu.
Namu Kitchen is located in West Covina in the Haven City Plaza. Coming here around lunchtime on a Wednesday, it was not crowded at all. They also have free WiFi for guest and outlets on the side to charge devices. The ambiance was very calming and the restaurant was nicely decorated. I decided to get a rice bowl and it came with a bunch of sides as well. It was a pretty big portion and I couldn't finish it all. The rice was really delicious and the pork was tender and juicy. I really enjoyed the different flavors presented in the bowl. 10/10
I love the way this brunch spot is decorated. It feels like a completely different vibe as soon as you walk in. The whole place has a great ambience. Everything on the menu looked interesting, but the jang jorim burrito stood out to me the most and it didn't disappoint. The beef was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. It's a breakfast style burrito, which makes it perfect for brunch. Service was attentive and on point. There wasn't much of a wait when I went on a weekday, but I'd expect it to be busier on weekends. Definitely planning to come back and try more of the menu.
To find a place like this in West Covina is awesome! They specialize in Korean fusion breakfast. I love the vibe of the place. It's modern and very cute, clean inside. I was impressed with the waitress who was managing 6 tables by herself as I was waiting for my friend to arrive. She was very attentive, nice, and smiley even though I can tell her cortisol levels were rising since she was making drinks in the front while managing orders too. The restroom was CLEAN and pleasant. I was skeptical at first because I generally find fusion food to be a hit or miss. Also, I'm picky with my coffee so I tend to steer away from Korean style coffees because they generally taste like acidic Americanos to me (even their cold brews). I opted for the Espresso Tonics (1 blood orange and 1 yuzu). Both were refreshing and softened/blended with the espresso and their citrus fruit flavors without being overwhelmingly cloy. I ordered Jang Jorim rice bowl and it was pretty tasty. It was a little too salty for me, but the rice, roasted brussel sprouts, cucumber salad, and kimchi countered the saltiness. Overall, I would come back again if I'm in the hood, because the food, ambiance, and service are all solid.
A really cute Korean Fusion Cafe. The service was Excellent and the food so yummy! I got the Korean Fried Chicken and added rice. For $2 more, you get 3 more pieces of fried chicken over the Fried Chicken over Rice. I thought it was worth it! The Breakfast Special is an assortment of many items on one plate...egg w/ mushrooms on top, crispy kale, 3 small sausages, salad, a piece of toast cut in half w/ your choice of home made jam! We chose Peach. And it also comes with a little fruit cup. The standout was the crispy kale. So delicious! I want to go back and try some of their other dishes!

Service: great, timely service Design: interiors is contemporary with warm wood flooring, wood table tops, wicker with black vinyl chairs, grey walls with green plant strips and other landscape potted plants Overall: if you want great Korean or American brunch food with great espresso or matcha/tea type drinks, then this is a MUST-TRY in the West Covina area!!!

I was able to make a reservation for a larger group and communicate updates through Yelp messages, they're pretty responsive there, especially if you can't get through by phone. I ordered the Jang Jorim (braised beef) burrito- it was super tasty. The portion was huge and I could only finish about a third of it Dirty Hojicha Latte- it didn't really taste like hojicha and leaned a bit sour. But I liked that all their drinks aren't overly sweet. Overall a great spot to catch up with friends!
Really liked the decor here--it felt nice, open, and welcoming. We ordered the beef bulgogi sandwich, beef bulgogi over rice, avo toast, and chicken karaage over rice. Everything we got was good, and there wasn't a dish we didn't enjoy. The only issue was that we found what looked like a strand of lint in the chicken karaage rice. We let our server know, and they quickly replaced it with no issues, which we appreciated. Other than that, the food was good, the service was great, and we'd definitely come back again

Another gem found. I haven't stopped thinking about the food here since I first had it last weekend lol. Namu Kitchen has been on my bookmarks for some time but I was putting it off because I was afraid the portions and quality wouldn't measure up to their prices but I was sooooo wrong. Their breakfast plates are absolutely ginormous and my friends admitted they're usually picky eaters but ate pretty much most/all things on their plates. I decided to go with the bulgogi sandwich based on our waiter's recommendation and it was amazing! So flavorful and the bread was great too. Their salad dressing was tangy and sweet. The brioche toast with homemade jam and ricotta was also better than I was anticipating. The main star for me was the chicken karaage. The pieces were huge but still so juicy inside.. and the batter was light yet very crispy. Paired well with their house garlic aioli. Only thing we all agreed was a miss was the mango cloud coconut matcha unfortunately :( didn't find it to have much flavor. Definitely interested in trying their hojicha or earl grey lattes next though! Oh and everyone who works here is so incredibly helpful and friendly.. never felt rushed and trusted them to make great recommendations. read more
My mom and I came here on a Saturday around 12:30pm and they seemed to be at the height of their lunch rush! Nonetheless, the wait wasn't too long and we got seated quickly. Parking is relatively packed in this lot, but I'm sure you can find a spot if you circle enough times. We ordered their breakfast plate and jang-jorim burrito. I was pleasantly surprised by how large their portions were - the pictures on Yelp don't represent the size as well. We split the jang-jorim burrito and we could barely eat any of the breakfast plate as a result, so we took most of it home. Quality-wise, everything is super fresh and high-quality, nothing felt overly salty or oily. I liked that every plate comes with something extra and that it leans on the healthier side, whether it's salad or fruit. I also had one of their specialty lattes and it was so good. The flavors blended really well without being too sweet. I definitely look forward to coming here in the future for when we're looking for a healthier meal out. read more

Had Namu for lunch and now it's almost midnight and I still can't stop thinking about them. Went for coffee after multiple friends recommended them, knowing I'm an obsessive coffee snob. They were right, it's my new favorite cafe, on par with Aroma Craft (Walnut), Recaphe (Fountain Valley), and Stereoscope (Costa Mesa). Beautiful interiors and high quality coffee is my love language. Mindlessly got some food since it was lunch hour and wow- that bulgolgi sandwich was incredible. The ciabatta bread, cheese, peppers, and onions were a wonderful pairing, like an elevated Philly cheesesteak. Order came out at super speed, and service was very friendly. Will definitely be back to try everything on the menu, and hope their coffee beans come back in stock for purchase. read more

I used to dismiss Namu every time i would pass by during my hanger fueled walks to the food hall. However, last Sunday, it was the only place open before 11am so we decided to give it a try. It's located w/in the Hong Kong Plaza across from the buffet. I suggest arriving early like we did, otherwise finding parking becomes a headache and Namu get appropriately busy. The space is airy, bright & decorated w/ lots of soothing neutral colors w/ pops of green from plants. the music is relaxing & the staff is attentive, friendly and took the time to answer our questions no matter how busy they got. Unless you LOVE a specific dish here, i recommend sharing plates. We ordered: Honey yuzu tea: drank hot. it was sweet & comforting. i ate the lemon bits left at the bottom of the cup Pour over: waitress brought cards over for the coffee bean options. bf opted for their organic "concepcion huista" from Huehuetenango, Guatemala. it was delicious, not bitter at all despite drinking it black Avo Toast: millennial staple lolz they were generous w/ the slices of fresh creamy avo & the pistachio added a nice texture. the beet ricotta spread didn't stand out flavor wise but i loved how the color popped on the plate. the arugula salad was ok, dressing was light...took a few bites than skipped the salad so i could save room for the mains. will skip this next time to try the mushroom toast instead. Chicken Karaage: MUST ORDER Japanese style fried chicken. Namu has their recipe perfected: crunchy, moist and had the right amount of sauce and spice to it. I ate mine w/ their kimchi from the dish below and wow! perfect bites Dweji Gomtang (Korean Pork Soup): worth ordering! Rightfully classified on their menu under "Comfort Foods" the clear broth is flavorful & the slices of pork were tender and meaty. the green onions, kimchi & pickled cucumber provided a great crispy contrast to the rich broth. I ended up discarding my spoon and guzzling the broth straight up from the brim of the bowl. For the quality of food, their eye-catching presentation, the amount of food we received, the ambience and great service, the prices were not terrible. We split the bill and paid about $42 pp w/ tip. Namu Kitchen was busy when we visited and we waited about half an hour. You write your name and party size on a paper to get on the waitlist. Casual vibe with delicious, fresh food. I got the braised beef burrito -- flavorful and a good option to share if neither person is too hungry. Friends got Avo toast, Gyoza, and jang-jorim over rice. Had some of each, and they were delicious as well. read more
I've had Namu Kitchen bookmarked for a while and finally made it in on a recent Monday for brunch. We were seated right away, and I was glad they gave us a larger table because everything on the menu looked tempting. The two of us shared the avocado toast, tofu and eggplant burrito, Korean pork soup Dwaeji Gomtang, and the braised beef brisket Jang Jorim over rice. My favorites were definitely the avocado toast and the Korean pork soup. The soup was incredibly comforting and flavorful, and it honestly felt like they used two whole avocados on the toast, it was also very aesthetic and perfect for photos. I don't eat spicy food, so I was a bit bummed that the tofu and eggplant burrito came with a spicy mayo sauce, but my husband had no trouble enjoying it. To be honest, I was already pretty full by the time the braised beef rice arrived, but it made excellent leftovers for another meal later. I also ordered the hojicha latte with cloud foam, not realizing it only came iced. The waitress was incredibly kind and offered to remake it hot, which I really appreciated. Overall, this is a super cute Korean fusion brunch spot, and I'd highly recommend checking it out. read more
Tried this brunch spot since I was in the area of WestCo! It was decently priced for the portion that I got. I got the breakfast plate and it came with a variety of things. It was pretty good. My bf got the Jang-jorim burrito and it was really wet.... messy to eat. Our friend got the Beef bulgogi over rice and the portion was small..... I think consistent and reasonable portioning would help this restaurant. Service was good though read more
This beautiful restaurant was once a tofu soup place called Myung Dong. I love what they did with the space. It's both homey and gives boutique hotel vibes. I knew we were going to have a great time the moment we set foot in it. Their server was attentive without hovering. He made sure our water carafe was always full and that we were happy with our food. Speaking of food, their fried chicken must be the best Korean fried chicken in the SGV. Seriously. The chicken was juicy, ever so crispy (but didn't have too much breading), and even with the honey sauce drizzled on top, it didn't lose its structural integrity or get soggy. And the sauce wasn't cloyingly sweet. Just enough to provide a contrast to the chicken, and it had a hint of spice right at the end. The combination of that sauce with the chicken was perfect and lethal. We couldn't stop eating it. My son's French toast was phenomenal. It wasn't too sweet either and with sliced bananas and blueberries, made for the perfect winter breakfast. He was very happy with it. The hubby loved his breakfast plate. It had kurubota sausage, fruit, and I couldn't tell what else because he loved it too much to share any of it with me. We love this restaurant. Namu is going to be one of the staples we will end up going to over and over. Their food and service (and value!) gave us such a pleasurable dining experience. read more

Went in during a weekday and had an impressive brunch! Namu Kitchen has a good amount of interesting menu items and some great drinks that include coffee and other non-coffee beverages. They had a cool drink option in which you can create your own cloud latte. I ordered a cloud latte (base: hojicha, cloud top: black sesame). Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of it, but it was delicious and creamy! I would get it every day if I could! To eat, we ordered the jam & ricotta toast, the jang-jorim burrito, and the tofu & eggplant burrito. The toast consisted of a hefty and perfectly toasted piece of brioche with generous spreads of ricotta and a couple of different fruit jams. Beautifully garnished with a rosemary sprig, our kid loved this and it was yummy. The jang-jorim burrito was a Korean iteration of the breakfast burrito that SoCal knows and loves so dearly. Brisket, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sautéed veggies were wrapped in a nicely toasted tortilla. The tofu & eggplant burrito was a wonderfully veggie-forward version of a breakfast burrito, and it came in a spinach tortilla (my fave!). Both burritos came with a side salad and a salsa verde that I wanted bottled to take home. I would highly recommend both, but I lean towards the tofu & eggplant! We waited a little bit because it was much busier than usual for a weekday, but the cute interior and great customer service made up for it. We can't wait to come back soon! read more
I stopped in for breakfast and since it was my first time here i asked the host what should i try. He recommended the Namu Breakfast plate.Sauted mushroom, crispy kale scrambled egg, parmesan cheese Korean sausage, toasted sourdough, salad, homemade jam and fruits. The mushrooms and smokey Korean sausage were the stars of the show! Also, it was a really good sized portion ! This is a very nice cafe located outside of the Haven City Marketplace. read more
Adorable breakfast/brunch restaurant with an extremely friendly service! The restaurant is clean and vibin'. The food is absolutely amazing. I was not disappointed by my orders. Every aspect of our visit was wonderful! Service was amazing and quick and the food was delicious! I always go into a restaurant looking through the menu already and to be quite frank I was worried about the portion to price but boy was I wrong! My friend and I shared the French Toast and Korean Fried Chicken and it was so filling! We even had to take some home! And we are eaters! The korean fried chicken though saucy was still really crispy and the french toast was soft on the inside and toasty on the outside and not too sweet! (Ultimate compliment from an asian ) read more

Namu was a pretty good spot for fusion breakfast. The tofu burrito was very good but the sauce inside was a little too much and too liquidy. It basically poured out when I took a bite. It was delicious but definitely messier than I thought it'd be. Everything was pretty solid and priced reasonably. My only real complaint is that the kimchi pancake was pretty burnt on the bottom so it was pretty bitter and hard to eat. I had to focus on the center of it to enjoy the taste. The inside is chic and comfortable. Gives good cafe vibes. The service was good, the food came out pretty fast though there was only one other table with patrons. I really liked it here. The environment just felt so cozy and pleasant. It's a great spot to meetup with girlfriends for brunch and chat. It's not just cute/aesthetic inside but also has tasty food! Matcha: I got an iced matcha latte, less sweet. I'm usually picky about matcha bc I don't like when matcha is too strong. This was a great balance for me. Tofu eggplant over rice: I tried my friend's braised beef and that was really good. So I wish I got that one. But the tofu eggplant was still good bc sometimes my stomach is a bit sensitive to meat. So I'm glad their vegetarian options were good! Their whole menu looks so good so I want to go back and try more food. The location is nice too because it's near the food hall if you want to get a drink or snack afterward. read more

I have visited Namu Kitchen a couple of times and have an amazing experience everytime from the friendly service to the delicious food. The ambiance inside is very warm and welcoming, giving cozy vibes. Namu Kitchen is located in the same parking lot as Haven City Market and parking can be difficult to find on the weekend. - Sparkling Yuzu Espresso [5/5]: This drink was so refreshing and citrusy. If you're a fan of yuzu just like me, then you will love this drink! - Namu Breakfast Plate [5/5]: My favorite item at Namu Kitchen! I love the crispy kale and the blueberry jam. I have to order their breakfast plate everytime I come here. - Kimchi Pancake [4/5]: The pancake was crispy and savory. The salad and the avocado paired well with the pancake. I have also tried their hot hojicha latte with double shot of espresso and enjoyed it as well. This drink is perfect for the winter time. Namu Kitchen is definitely one of my favorite brunch spots in 626 and I can't wait to bring more of my friends here! read more
I think I found a new fave brunch spot. Love the ambiance and serene vibe to this place. I took my daughter here for brunch after the DMV. Got seated right away and ordered. I ordered a vanilla latte and the Namu Breakfast Plate. My daughter got the mushroom toast. I was sipping my latte and it spilled all over the table and floor. What a disaster. But the servers were sooo kind. They moved us to a clean table and offered to remake my latte. The breakfast plate was delicious. The salad had the right amount of dressing. We came here because Lola's was super busy and we were on a time crunch. Honestly not bad! The vibes were cute, staff were friendly, and food + drinks were all really aesthetic and were good. Tbh there aren't a bunch of options, which I feel like is both a pro and con, that being said I wasn't super wow'd by the food, but the portion size was really fat. The burrito was good but I think eating half of it was enough. Also the toast was pretty but I realized that I'm not as big a fan of ricotta as I thought. Still, I think it's worth a try! Namu Kitchen (West Covina) stirs strong emotions within me because it does everything right. It's an upscale restaurant that serves brunch comparable to the Las Vegas Bellagio or a rich neighborhood cafe, yet it stoops so low to accommodate everyone that it's almost insulting to its brilliant chefs. Namu Kitchen (located near the popular the Haven City Market) is phenomenal. I arrived at Namu Kitchen on Tuesday (around 9AM - opening time). The place sparkled. Its interior is gorgeous and feels almost baffling since its exterior appears so plain. Namu Kitchen (West Covina) is a hidden diamond in plain sight. Staff is very welcoming, attentive, and hardworking. Staff spoke professionally and kindly; staff answered all my questions; staff quickly helped me when waved; and staff continuously worked hard in the background. I ordered the iced Hojicha Cafe Latte ($6.50) and the Jang-jorim Burrito ($16). The Hojicha Cafe Latte arrived in five minutes and 41 seconds. The Jang-Jorim Burrito arrived in 12 minutes and 17 seconds. Fast! The iced Hojicha Cafe Latte tasted of freshly prepared milk tea with espresso. Its caffeine felt faint, lacking a kick. However, its flavor was enjoyable. This beverage held a mellow, earthy, & milky tea flavor that was pleasant. The Jang-Jorim Burrito arrived huge with an accompanying salad. This Jang-Jorim Burrito consists of juicy braised beef brisket, generous avocado, stretchy cheese, scrambled egg, tater tots, and a few vegetables. The Jang-Jorim Burrito is a messy, flavor explosion that's very memorable. I recommend eating it with a fork and a knife since this "burrito" is more comparable to an overstuffed crêpe. While savoring the Jang-Jorim Burrito, the most prominent flavor was the juicy braised beef brisket. Its sauce dripped seductively across every crevice as it dribbled everywhere. Next, its fresh & bright avocado shun loudly. If I had to nitpick, the scrambled eggs in this burrito tasted very bland and mushy. Thankfully, the Jang-Jorim Burrito made me mostly think of meat, avocado, and cheese. Shockingly, this meal was not greasy. The ingredients tasted very fresh, so the dish brought an unexpected lightness. Regarding ambiance, Namu Kitchen (West Covina) is gorgeous. The location is very well-maintained, and each corner looked picturesque. Namu Kitchen (West Covina) also felt very clean, well-ventilated (almost chilly), and shiny. Unlike its ugly and plain exterior, the interior sparkles like an upscale fancy restaurant. What's incredibly insane (and almost insulting), is that the location is littered with many, many electrical outlets for electronic devices. It's helpful but absurd. It's like adding electronic sockets in a Gordon Ramsay restaurant to attract extra customers. Namu Kitchen (West Covina) even offers free wifi with password to guests. I guess their clientele are college students that enjoy fine dining? Absolutely baffling. Overall, Namu Kitchen (West Covina) enchanted me. It's a place built with passion and special brunch options. Wonderful! Food was good especially the French toast. Love the menu is simple, not too much options but still good variety so it's not overwhelming. Met up with a friend at Namu Kitchen a couple of weeks ago and have not stopped thinking about it ever since. It is located right next to the Haven City Food Court, so there are tons of food options to explore if you are not feeling brunch. Namu Kitchen has an asian fusion brunch concept, but leans heavily into Korean-inspired cuisine! No wait on a weekend, food arrived around 10-15 minutes, and the interior is very aesthetic. We ordered two things: Kimchi Pancake (9/10) and Namu Breakfast Plate (9/10). Solid flavor profile on both. The Kimchi Pancake has just the right amount of sour tanginess from the kimchi, and has a tasty crisp. The Namu Breakfast Plate is a go-to if you are unsure of what breakfast item you want to try! However, I do think the food is on the oilier side. I personally do not mind, to an extent. I would definitely come back to try other things on the menu! Parking was hard, especially on a weekend. Super cute cafe in West Covina! I tried their matcha blueberry latte since it's rare, but I think the blueberry did not stand out as much as a typical strawberry matcha latte. I got the kimchi pancake since I've been craving it, and it was really good! My husband got the beef bulgogi but it's actually a bit drier, feels like it needs a dipping sauce. There aren't a lot of tables inside but the interior is cute, good for an afternoon cafe hangout or getting some work done. They have a lot of outlets too! read more
First time at Namu Kitchen and thought it was a decent Korean-American fusion brunch. It's conveniently located in the HK Plaza so there's plenty of parking. Cafe is clean and modern. Servers were all professional and friendly. Menu had a both American and Korean, and even fusion options. I got the cloud latte and breakfast plate. I really liked the lightly sweetened airy cream top on top of the latte. Breakfast plate had toast (a bit stale), salad, sausage, roasted kale (a bit salty), berries, and a ton of mushroom on scrambled eggs. It's definitely a well-balanced meal. read more

This cafe is really cute, comfy, and has delicious food! A perfect place for a meal or to work as they have WiFi. I ordered the hojicha latte and it hit the spot! It was a little on the sweeter side at first, but as the ice melts it becomes perfect, with an aromatic roasted tea flavor. The ricotta toast was also yummy and surprisingly had a unique and deep taste. It's a nice balance of savory (from the rosemary and ricotta) and sweet (from the homemade blueberry, mango, and peach jams). The service was also so friendly and warm. You can tell they care a lot about their ingredients and menu. Highly recommend and will definitely come again! read more
