Brown sugar latte

Arrived at around 10:30am on a Sunday. No seating available indoors, but plenty of outdoor tables. It was a beautiful day, so outdoors was fine. Although it wasn't quite 11am yet, they allowed us to order the Sisig Carbonara from the Special menu. Good sized portion and arrived piping hot. Unfortunately, it was quite salty. Hubs likes his salt, but even he noted it was salty. We ended up not finishing it and packed it to take home. Made more pasta at home and mixed it together to cut down on the saltiness. Hubs ordered the smashed burger, which he enjoyed. Kiddo ordered the breakfast plate and she enjoyed hers as well. Appears to be a popular place. Service was friendly.

The grilled chicken tocino was amazing! Juicy meat, crispy skin, well seasoned. The grilled veggies were a nice touch though i didn't eat the salad or rice. Burrito was good too, especially with the salsa. the inside had roasted potatoes which added nice texture, chicken sausage, cheese, and eggs for protein. also recommend getting a beverage, i had fresh squeezed OJ. Great patio for an outdoor brunch with friends. Service was decent, it took a bit of requests to be tended to but overall a solid experience. i would definitely return.

Pork Sisig & Garlic Fried Rice

A few coworkers and I decided to have brunch here for my early birthday celebration on a Thursday morning and I'm glad we did. Native Fields is located in a parking lot with plenty of parking. The restaurant wasn't extremely big but we had reservations just in case and it's a good thing we did because by the time we got our food it was a full house. There were 5 of us and we decided to do family style for 6 dishes. Everything tasted so good and we even had leftovers. We ordered the Ricotta Cheese Pancakes, Pork Sisig, Chicken Tocino Bowl, Strozzapreti & Mushrooms, and 2 items from the special menu: Beets, Citrus, & Burrata Salad and the Braised Short Rib. Out of everything my favorite would have to be the Braised Short Rib. The ribs were so tender and flavorful and the mashed potatoes that were paired with it was soooo good. I'm curious if the menu changes for dinner but either way I would def recommend this restaurant to those interested! I will be back :)

I'm understanding the good reviews here at Native Fields. I passed by this place for months and I finally stopped by for lunch with co-workers. Very nice inside and outside. Staff is full of smiles. Baked goods to buy on the go. I am loving it here! Now let's get to the point=FOOD. 10/10 from the table - you won returning guests today. We loved our food selections. Very tasty and fresh food. I left leaving satisfied and not overly full. Our table, 2 salmon salads, Chicken Tocino Bowl and breakfast plate. Magnifique! Flavor!! Drinks, a very delicious early grey lavender tea, yes the tea unsweetened and hot was soo good. Vanilla latte super fancy and tasty, I heard. I'll be back! Be ready for me! I want to try that cinnamon roll that was staring at me on the counter.

Grilled Chicken Tocino Bowl, vanilla lavendar matcha latte and Garlic Parmesan Fries

Parking was easy and I love that they offer outdoor seating. We didn't want to wait 45 minutes for a table so we opted to sit at the bar and waited 10 minutes. The service was excellent, food came out in a timely manner, was aesthetically pleasing and tasted great! I loved the garlic rice and the chicken was tender. The garlic Parm fries were very flavorful and wasn't too salty. the lavendar vanilla match was light in flavor. Loco Moco party was tender but the gravy flavor was too light for my preference. My husband got the side of bacon and loved that it was crispy and deep fried. The OJ was good but I wish it didn't come with ice. The strange thing was the bottled ketchup looked dark (like it had expired) and it was so deeply squeezed the bottle had changed shape. We thought it was funny but we're surprised because it didn't match the aesthetics. But all in all we loved it! We'll be back for the bread pudding and banana bread!

Actually seating us 15 minutes before our reservation? Total win. Service was definitely the highlight here. They even brought us "consolation potatoes" to snack on while my friend's missing order was being sorted out, which I genuinely appreciated. But honestly, for the price tag, I expected the food to blow me away, and it just... didn't. As a total matcha snob, the latte was just okay (I've definitely had better). The Loco Moco was the biggest letdown; the patty was pretty bland, and the garlic rice was so mushy it felt more like a garlic puree. I also tried the Sisig, but if you're looking for that authentic Filipino flavor, this isn't it. The spices were way too aggressive and totally drowned out the pork. Super nice staff and great vibes, but the kitchen needs to step it up to match those prices.

Crispy Weiser Farm Potatoes (perfectly crisped and super yummy!)

Food was for sure 5 stars!! This is one of those instances where I wish half stars existed, so I'm going down to 4 instead of up to 5. Great brunch spot that was not very busy at 9:30am on a Sunday morning. Menu boasts a lot of tasty sounding food and drink items. Ambience is relaxed and very aesthetically pleasing. There is a little deck outdoors for outside dining. FOOD We were not disappointed with the items we ordered! Shared two dishes and a side between two people and it was more than enough. *Crispy potatoes: excellent and perfectly crisped. The taste was spot on, the texture was spot on. Good portion for a side. *Pork sisig & garlic fried rice: really tasty! The flavors blended together extremely well and the fried egg on top was perfect. *Coconut curry with salmon: excellent. I would eat this all day long! Good portion of salmon and the curry was perfectly sweet and coconut-y without being too overpowering. The reason I would not give 5/5 is because the prices seemed a little high for the portions of the items. The curry was excellent, but $30 is a big price tag on it. We didn't need bigger portions, but that would seem fair for what they were charging. I do recognize that all of the items are sourced local as well. Overall, super tasty spot for a splurge on a meal.

I'm genuinely happy a place like this exists in our neighborhood. It takes vision to build something rooted in community, and Native Field feels exactly that. They source from local farms, and you can taste it. The ingredients don't hide behind heavy sauces or trends. They feel alive. Fresh. Intentional. Brunch is strong here -- from the bowls to the coffee, everything is well thought out. They also offer happy hour with tapas-style plates, which makes it easy to try a little of everything. The menu moves with the seasons and blends Korean, Filipino, and New American influences in a natural way. Not forced. Not flashy. Just good food with identity. On weekends, they bring in music and culture. The space feels hip but not pretentious. Lively but comfortable. They also carry a solid wine selection, which completes the experience. It's more than just a restaurant. It's a place you enjoy being in. And that matters.

Had such a wonderful experience at Native Fields! From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully prepared. We ordered the grilled chicken tocino and the strozzapretti mushroom pasta, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The chicken tocino was perfectly cooked--tender, flavorful, and had that great balance of savory and slightly sweet. You could tell a lot of care went into the preparation. The strozzapretti mushroom pasta was just as impressive--rich, earthy, and comforting without feeling too heavy. The mushrooms were full of flavor, and the pasta itself had such a great texture. The overall atmosphere made the meal even more enjoyable. Everything felt intentional, and you could really tell they cared about the quality of the food and the experience they were creating. Highly recommend Native Fields if you're looking for something unique and well-executed. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!

We checked out Native Fields in Covina and had a wonderful experience that definitely earned 5 stars from us. The food was excellent overall, and we especially enjoyed the grass fed beef burger which was cooked perfectly. We also tried the pork sisig and garlic fried rice which was incredibly flavorful, though we found it a bit too greasy for our personal taste. The chopped salad was another highlight and felt very fresh. We spent our meal on the beautiful outdoor patio, which is such a nice spot to enjoy a clear day. We love that this place is so welcoming to our four legged family members since we can bring them right onto the patio with us. While we did find the service to be a bit spotty at times throughout the meal, the atmosphere and the quality of the ingredients made up for it. We also noticed that the bathrooms are kept very clean which we always appreciate. This is such a great local gem and we will definitely be back with our dogs soon.

Native Fields is such a.. an adventure every time we make it here. The weekends can get a little busy but there's usually not much of a wait if you can sit outdoors. Which is what we did. The menu always makes me want to order so many things but this is a place where drip coffee is non-refillable. But they do give you a proper mug and the coffee stays hot for a while. The food is always delicious, across the board, never disappointed. Their potatoes are some of the best roasted potatoes around. Very very friendly staff.. just came to find out there's no table numbers in the outdoor seating so the waiters/waitresses have to find the patron who looks the most hungry eyeing that plate they're carrying to tell which table it's for. There's no table numbers in the outdoor area which holds a handful of full size tables. Anyway, still so yummy and such a surprising eating experience each and every time.

The locally sourced flavor comes through- all of their entrees are made with ingredients from local vendors, gardens, providers making the different flavors stand out. It was our first time, with a lovely host constantly checking in on us. Service alone I would go back. Had the mushroom pasta with a creamy egg yolk, binding all the ingredients together- delicious. Tried the beef brisket sandwich with a hint of horseradish- beef was extremely tender, soft and juicy. Would love to try the breakfast items. Great brunch locale!

I could have sworn that I had previously reviewed Native Fields, since I frequent this restaurant often, as can be seen by all my photos here. Anyway, I could not find a review by me, so here it goes... I absolutely love Native Fields! Their food is fresh, delicious, and seems to be made with love. I am not a breakfast person, but this is the only place I genuinely enjoy grabbing breakfast. The ricotta pancakes with fresh berries are divine and my absolute favorite! Service and ambiance are great. I have enjoyed coming out for happy hour, which I believe on Fridays, has live music. It's a very pleasant guitarist. I really can't say enough good things about Native Fields.

They have a nice interior build-out with a huge wine bar, but it was a nice evening and we elected to sit on their spacious patio. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by Sarah, who is the bartender and also manages a couple of nights a week for the owner. Sarah is super friendly, explained the menu and provided great table service. They have a large wine selection. My wife ordered a chardonnay and I stuck with an Arnold Palmer. We ordered their bruschetta appetizer, served as six pieces of toasted bread and the expected toppings. It was a perfect start to our meal. We were not super hungry, and selected a three-cheese charcuterie board. You are able to select your cheeses, and Sarah again helped us make our decision. It was perfect for a summer-weather afternoon (although in March) and we chatted, had our drinks and picked at the board until it was gone. During our meal, Sarah was very attentive to our needs. My wife tried another chard, and we ordered their banana dessert, which had great flavor and was a nice end to the meal. This is a great place to quietly enjoy some wine, beer and food. They have a good sized menu and offer a brunch menu on Sundays. (Diane, Sarah needs a bonus, she made the evening much fun).

Well, I have been to all of the above and I am telling you, you would be missing out on a one of a kind, out of this world experience that can be had any day of the week at Kindred Spirits, adjacent to the Hyatt Regency. No, I didn't expect it to come anywhere close to the stratospheric experiences you could have were you to choose any wine bar you fancied, but, the minute I got inside, I knew I was in for an unforgettable experience that I will want to repeat. First of all, it's downright beautiful. Flawlessly decorated with a chic living room vibe with just the right elements to suggest a curated museum-level sensibility. See my pictures as well as all the others here on Yelp. I spent the entire time noticing little details like the plush velvet banquet, the clubby wing back arm chairs, the art deco artefacts and furnishings, paintings, sculptures, even the ceiling lights were unique and obviously carefully selected. And then there is the stupefying wine and spirits menu that goes on and on. I rarely drink anything alcoholic but I couldn't pass up a taste of one of the exquisite sparkling wines that caught my eye. There is a full range of everything. If you really must have beer, it's there, but! For heaven's sake, try something elevated -- ask for recommendations. You won't be disappointed. However, the star of the entire experience is the menu. Now, remember, I am a lifelong vegetarian. I had fun limiting myself to four choices -- I could have had more were I not on a perpetual diet. You can see what we ordered in my photographs. Each dish was superb, really, first in class. Nonetheless, take a good look at my photographs of the Autumn Apple Tarte -- it is the g.o.a.t., believe me. Not only did it taste celestial but notice the tiny flowers? The chef, Priscilla, is a highly skilled and trained artist, her medium just happens to be delicately flavored and arranged plates of heaven. And Sarah, our attendant took a concierge approach to caring for us. A cosmopolitan playlist provided a lyrical backdrop that just made everything flow like silk. Parking is easy, simply use the Hyatt Convention Center parking lot adjacent to a verdant golf course or their garage, for free. There are two main rooms and we asked for the "lobby"-like large room with a giant table that we had all to ourselves, given we were there in the late afternoon on a Sunday. Even so, clientele were coming and going. It was the golden hour and we were draped in a warm light and cozy but uplifting spirit. The entire experience was flawless. And the tab? Ridiculously reasonable. You may not be headed to Rodeo or Saint-Germain-des-Prés or West 27th street any time soon. So, instead, treat yourself to this epic wine bar. You will thank me, when you do.

Being in a party of 4 girls coming from high tea, we were dressed in elegant dresses, first comment was asking if we were coming from church, followed by eye flutters, short "okay" with an upward inflation to a joke about the day, an impatient comment about hurrying up and trying the wine while we were talking, asked for water when we were out, were left to pour the rest of our wine, didn't ask how the food was all the while was attentive to the table behind us, the cherry on top comment was when we were discussing the bill at the end, he was hovering at the table behind ours, then when we were ready, we asked to split the bill into 2, my portion on mine and the rest on another card, he then said "this isn't like a drive through, we can't do it that way" so I asked him to explain his comment, cause it was passive agressive and rude. After he wasnt able to becuase he wasnt expecting me to call out his rude comment, I had to then break it down and specify what I had ordered, he then sold "okayyyy....so how much, cause we don't itemize?" I had to again express for him to specify how they do it cause he has still yet to explain where his attitude is coming from and explain how they do their check splits, from my understanding it just felt like he wanted to play dumb and make me to the math, one I did he was like "ohh, okay" should have asked for the manager but we paid and left, I hasnt had this experience before being a returning customer, but he needs an attitude adjustment as his attitude was completely out of pocket. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype and first impressions fell flat.
