We stumbled upon this little bar/restaurant upon waiting for our reservation at x fish, which is right across. KJ was just the sweetest!!! she took her time and explained all the martinis to me and my friend and highly recommended the caramel apple martini. It was sooooo good!! And so strong! Definitely worth it. We only had the drinks but I saw her take out a charcuterie board for another customer and it looked so pretty! We will definitely be coming back. We didn't finish our drinks when our reservation for x fish was ready and she even offered to have a to go cup for us! She was just the sweetest! Highly recommended! The place has the cutest decor as well, so cute for photos. The parking is at the structure across the Ralph's, a lot of parking.

Came in on Mother's Day, very quiet but a great intro to this establishment. Great conversation with the bartender, had an Old Fashioned and the GF had a Dirty Dutchess, both amazing! We will certainly be back Thursday-Saturday when the piano is going and the place is packed.

The charcuterie, lemon cello, and castaway martini were all delicious!! The service was quick and the staff were all very kind. The decorations and vibes were so incredibly cute. This place is a must see and we will definitely be back.

This is the perfect spot for a glass of wine and a small bite. There are a great variety of wines to choose from and majority of them appeared to have been from Ca. I think the thing that truly makes this place stand out is the ambiance. This place is straight out of a fairytale and was just so whimsy and beautiful. Highly recommend it in the area.

The ambiance here is so cute! I love the dim lighting in here. I had tried a couple of drinks and the charcuterie board. Everything was so good. Service was fast and super friendly! I had went on a Thursday which is their trivia night.

Very cool little spot with nice vibes. Staff was attentive. Amazing live music around 7pm till 10ish. Come early and ask if you can get a table in front of the piano or try to wait around for one to open. Charcuterie board was good and so were drinks.

Chris the piano man was great!

We checked out this bar last night and loved it!! Such a cute little spot in downtown Brea where they have live music by Chris the piano man. It's self seating with a great wine selection and full bar. The campfire smores drink was delicious!! My husband got the part time lover which he always enjoyed as well. We loved the live music!! We would most certainly return especially for the music. Loved the atmosphere! Service was great.

Kj is the sweetest!!! The vibe here is so beautiful and they have a great selection of wine. The flight is delicious and super affordable~

If you're looking for a quaint and relaxing spot with good wine and piano and music this place is for you. This place makes you feel as if you in a corner bar in Paris. It's a must try they have special dinner night with wine parings or you can just show up relax in their speak easy environment . If though they had a piano player there you could still have a conversation with friends . A must try for a date night or girls night out

Dropped by for a quick drink while waiting for your table at xfish. There was a live piano player with a cute dog. When he was done playing he walked to every table to introduce his dog. Our waitress was super thoughtful and knowledgeable of wines. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

I really love this small intimate wine bar behind Macallans! We were waiting for a table at the sushi spot and decided to grab some drinks. The inside is cozy and very pretty. One thing led to another and we ordered what we try ought would be a small charcuterie to babysit the drinks. Out comes this stunning platter of heaven! Honestly it was so good I should have abandoned sushi to eat more here. The drinks were excellent and quite strong. The service is amazing. The server even walked us to tour the members only section. A great date night spot.

What time do they close on Sunday?

    8pm

    Are reservations required?

No. But it helps them staff appropriately so service remains excellent.

    Are they 21+?

Yes and no. Bar top is 21+ , the lower tables will be ok for kids. Just remember it's a classy adult space escape .... No one wants loud kids or crying children. A good balance day is their bubbles and brunch on Sundays

We arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening and we were bummed that it was packed full inside. We decided to go have a drink upstairs, and then come back down later to see if it was any less busy. There must have been one big group who left because 30 minutes later, it was completely empty inside. There are a few wood tables outside of the entrance and several two seat tables along the outside of the side of the train, but for a first visit we definitely wanted to be inside. When you come inside at BXCR, there are two long green couches along each side that wrap around to the entrance to maximize available space. There are two steamer trunks on each side that serve as tables. We were surprised that all of the tables had a Yahtzee game on them, and we had a blast playing that while we enjoyed our drinks. If you happen to roll a Yahtzee, they give you a candle as a prize. There is good background music playing that fits the environment. There is some good décor with overhead baggage racks and international clocks on one wall, and gauges on the wall next to the bar. There are some small rectangular windows along the top of both sides, and some curtained windows on the right side which do let a little light in. When the main entrance door is opened before its dark outside, it does let quite a bit of light in and kills the ambience temporarily. I would recommend coming closer to or after sunset to not let any outside sunlight interfere with your experience. The drinks are made at the bar in the rear where there are several seats and a little standing room. It wasn't on the current menu, but I saw on a previous menu they had an Amaretto Sour so I started with that, and it did not disappoint. It was nice and frothy from an egg white and had Angostura bitters on top. My girlfriend started with the Calm Cruise which was great. It's basically a Pina Colada, but with an additional honeydew flavor in the background. For number two, I tried the C-League cocktail. The smokiness of Mezcal has grown on me lately if it is not the primary flavor, and in this drink it is at a nice level somewhere in the middle. The cucumber and cilantro are definitely present, along with a little heat from the ancho verde and a little sweetness from the Luxardo maraschino. This is a excellent easy-drinking tequila cocktail. Her number two was the Aviation which she enjoyed. Vince was our main bartender along with Sarah. They were very friendly and fun to chit-chat with while they were mixing up our drinks. This is definitely a cool place to check out, and we will definitely return.

They also have happy hour Tuesdays-Thursday from 2:00-5:30pm, where they offer house wines for $5 and personal cheese board for $10. For boards, I usually get the Goldilocks specialty board, which comes with 3 cheeses ranging in texture from soft to hard. For an additional cost, you can add meat: prosciutto, salami, Spanish chorizo, or half & half of any two. For paninis, everything I've tried was very good. I've had the Signature which has a double-cream brie, pear slices, mixed greens, and fig jam. Lib Grilled Cheese comes with three premium cheese blend, grilled with olive oil, and minced garlic. All paninis are on their sourdough bread and served with their signature side salad. My first visit was a few months ago, and I felt like I was bothering our server for water refills, napkins and other things. It was a Saturday night and while it was not packed, it took about an hour to get 2 panini's. Went today for my birthday, and my adult son told the server that the three of us were sitting on patio. Server shows up with 2 menus and 2 glasses for water. Sees me and scolds my son for not telling her that there was a third person. She brings a 3rd glass but never a 3rd menu. I specifically mention that we are here for happy hour specials. There is only 1 other table occupied, otherwise it's empty. We wait over 20 minutes to place our order. 1 personal board supposed to be $10. Plus (2) panini's. Wait another 30+ minutes... get our food and that's it. No check in - no water refills. My son goes and gets the server for a box and to order another personal board. We wait another long period to get it. I go inside to taste some cheese. We add on something to our bill. It was $104... I do some quick math and assume the price is because of the cheese I added to the bill. I add a tip on the lowish side, because we didn't really get any "service" to be worth the $18 I added onto it. I get home to review the receipt... and was charged $20 for the personal boards + the add ons... I am so let down. I spent $130 and didn't get awesome service or the happy hour discount. I was expecting to pay $50-$60 ish, and this caught me off guard. I have learned my lesson and won't be going back. I added the pictures so yelp-er's can see portion sizes, of the personalized cheese board.
