My wife and I have visited Twisted Vine a couple times over the past few months and I am definitely a fan. The staff here has always been great and very friendly. They are always available and making suggestions about the menu and wines and have genuinely looked eager to help. The food is always quite good and the portions are nice. The menu and specials does seem to rotate a bit as well so always be sure to check it out. The brie bowl was definitely a favorite of ours as well as the Rose flights. The setup is larger inside than it looks from outside but seating can still fill up quickly during peak hours so be aware. Overall, I am fan of what they have offered thus far and I hope to return again soon. read more

I'm going to go out on a limb here and go ahead and rate this business a 5 despite just going for my first time last night. This had been on Steven's radar for a bit once he knew about it, and I wanted to go to try the baked brie because of my obsession with cheese. We stopped by on a very rainy Thursday night and luckily there were a lot of open tables. We were immediately welcomed by several staff, including the one who brought us vodka & tonic (aka water lol). After a few minutes we decided to go with a white wine flight. They offer both a white and red flight, and you can find the flight choices by scanning the QR code on the menu or check their site, as these flights change monthly. They have daily food specials and they all looked delicious on the site. I was very tempted to try their Thursday patty melt special, but knowing that we were getting baked brie, I decided to not add more heavy items. I went with the apple crisp salad with chicken and Steven got the chopped salad with chicken. The wine flight only comes with three tastings, but they were bigger pours. They were at least three ounces each, so we had a great amount. Both the wine flight and the food came out quickly and everything was delicious. We were checked on numerous times throughout the night and our water refills were always filled before we ran out. A big shoutout to Jerry for his amazing service! I am assuming Jerry is the one who took our food and drink orders, but we were checked on and taken care of by multiple staff members, so shout out to everyone that night! We visited Twisted Vine on a Friday evening. There is plenty of street parking on the side streets. The ambiance of the place is laid-back with dimmed lights and lots of high top bar table seating as well as a small bar area. There is also a patio, but we opted to be seated at the bar. We just sampled their Gruener Veltliner and the NV J. Laurens sparkling wine. Neither were stellar and did not quite meet our expectations, however, the olives with feta and blue cheese were fantastic. They were also priced really competitively. Service was amazing too. Twisted Vine remains definitely on our list of wine bars to go to when in the area! read more

Every once in a while I patronize a place where I feel at home, a restaurant or bar where I think "this is my kind of place". Such is how I felt when I visited Twisted Vine. I walked in and immediately loved the brick walls, the dark wood tables and bar, and shelves of wine along the walls. I was immediately greeted and told to sit wherever I wanted by Scott, who really made me feel welcome. Aside from his friendliness, customers sitting near me were also super friendly, asking if it was my first time there and offering recommendations on wines and food. From the red wine portion of the menu I chose a glass of "M", a cabernet sauvignon from Paso Robles which was absolutely delicious. After looking over the list of tempting bites, I ordered a plate of chorizo & potato empanadas. They came as a set of three and were filled with chorizo, potato, Provolone cheese, and cilantro. They were fantastic and had plenty of chorizo, not overstuffed with potato. It was a Monday night so I watched some football on a silent big screen on the wall and decided on another glass of wine, this time "Head High" which is a pinot noir from Sonoma. I'm normally not crazy for pinot noirs, which confounds me as to why I ordered it, but this is one of the best ones I've tried; I really liked it. This is a place I will definitely come visit again. If I lived in the area this might be a weekly hangout for me but, since I live quite a distance away, I'll still stop by whenever I can. read more

They are a wine bar that happens to have some excellent small plates and specials to go along with the wine. I love Twisted Vine! I come here pretty regularly but last visited on a Saturday night around 8 PM. The wine bar wasn't too busy and we got seated quickly. Just note that there are only high top tables inside! We ordered 2 glasses of wine each and got the half charcuterie board and the green chile empanadas. Both were really tasty and felt very high quality. All the servers are very attentive and friendly which adds to the great atmosphere. The entrance is in the back and the front. This confused me lol From the parking lot you can walk right up without having to walk around to the front of the building. I went in through the back and wound up sitting at the bar. This restaurant isn't very big and does get noisy. Service was good. The servers do a good job of tending to customers, even when it gets busy. I came here for the food to be honest lol I didn't drink any alcohol. I ordered the pesto pasta and the apple salad. Really chill vibe with friendly staff, plenty of seating areas, great food and superb wine. All of these at prices that won't break your wallet. Come on down and check this place out. Come curious and you'll be hooked. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but you'll be pleasantly surprised once you step in. It's kinda stumbling upon a secret bar and wonder why you didn't discover this place sooner. In addition to the high top tables in the main dining area and across the bar, there are also plenty of tables out back in the semi outdoor patio leading to the parking lot. Food wise everything we've tried is delicately delicious. It's comforting and also inventive at the same time. The baked brie is a good portion that can easily be shared with a group of 4 people. Melted Brie cheese baked into a sourdough bowl and served with toasted sourdough bites and fresh apple slices for dipping. PRO TIP: Have it with diced Spanish chorizo (for a couple of bucks more) The Caprese, which is Mozzarella and grape tomato skewers with basil and drizzled with balsamic reduction, pairs really well with the wine. PRO TIP: Have it with Soppressata Salami (for a couple of bucks more) The tomato bisque soup is oh so good and one of the best out there. PRO TIP: You can order this by itself (not on the menu) as it normally comes as a side for the grilled cheese panini. Location is also a plus as there are many other places nearby to hangout all around quaint downtown Fullerton. Easy parking either on the street or at one of the many lots around DTF. Tim and Scott, the sommeliers, were so friendly and hospitable. We went to Twisted Vine around 8pm on a Monday night. The place felt like walking into a wine cellar. From what I could tell, customers were there for date night, a quiet space to work, and a night cap (hence, why we were there). I had a nice riesling, which was juicy and sweet. This was an awesome pairing to the dessert we shared at the table, which was the waffle sundae. The waffle sundae was fantastic by the way. Hubby & I came here last weekend on a Sunday afternoon & it was pretty empty with only 2 other parties seated. My favorites here are the Charcuterie board & Baked Brie. The charcuterie board serves a generous portion of bread, different cheeses, cured meats, fruits, nuts, etc. The bread is perfectly toasted & not hard to bite into. Went here for our 9 year Anniversary. Had a great time. Saturday they had some music entertainment which is why we came a little before 3pm. Staff was friendly and had nice recommendations. We chose the Wine Flight to taste some new flavors. We ordered lots of food. French Dip with au jus was delicious. The baked Brie with chorizo was my favorite. Do yourself a favor and add the chorizo!!! I ate the entire bowl I loved every bite. It was cheesy with a kick of spice from the chorizo. Pork belly skewers were tasty. My husband and I have tried many smash burgers and theirs is hands down our favorite especially with one of their beer seltzers called the prickly pear! We tried three of their four desserts and the waffle sundae was perfection! We woke up today craving it! I took pics of the many items we tried.
