Stopped by Bowery Pizza in Fullerton during the early lunch hour and it was nice and calm, made it a really relaxing place to eat. The music was a vibe and the decor is fun and different, it's giving man cave vibes meets arcade. I ordered the pepperoni pizza and a Caesar salad. The pizza hit the spot, good flavor and a solid pepperoni the Caesar salad was pretty solid cold crunch! lastly the service was perfect friendly bartender. *Don't sell individual slices

Get one of their special Bowery pizzas. Insanely delicious

We come to The Bowery pretty regularly for karaoke, although I mostly mean sitting at the bar, drinking and watching other people sing. They've got a full bar, a decent craft beer selection and all the usual mixed drinks, but somehow we'd never actually tried the pizza. That changed recently, and holy crap, the pizza is GOOD. The Detroit-style hot honey pizza in particular was phenomenal -- crispy, cheesy edges, tons of flavor and fresh toppings, with just the right amount of sweet heat. We also tried the taco pizza, which was a fun change of pace and surprisingly delicious. So apparently we've been coming here all this time and overlooking one of the best things they make. Don't make the same mistake. Get some pizza, have a drink, and sing "Total Eclipse of the Heart" badly enough that everyone around you regrets coming. You know, karaoke.

Great place for families and friends to gather.

As my previous review from a few years ago states, this is a great place to have a party. I hosted a party here on the 4th of July. The restaurant was originally going to open at 12, but I knew my guests would be arriving earlier. I spoke with the owner John a few days before and he accommodated to open at 11. That was so kind of him. Everyone loved the food and the service. I will continue to choose this place to host large parties. Thanks again to John and his amazing team!

This place is awesome! Always something to do, always lively, always someone you know and always the greatest people working. You can't really beat it and then there's the food. It's fantastic no matter what you get and they don't just have Pizza. They have pasta, sandwiches, salads to die for! Tons of appetizers, and their buffalo wings are out of this world. Don't forget to bring the whole family because they have games galore as well and it's a great time had for all just like the good old pizza parlor days. Thursday, Friday and Saturday you can warm up your pipes on karaoke night.

Stopped in with friends after having some wine and snacks at twisted wine. Fairly busy! Very noisy! That said it was a good evening with terrific food and good friends! I thought there loaded tots were delicious as well as the carnivores pizza we had!

Was walking back to the hotel after a long night and heard the beat and laughter even though the door was closed and I just had to come in. As soon as I walked in there was a play area. Basketball. Air hockey. Etc. and as you continue you it turns into the bar, seating, and dance floor. It was karaoke happening when we walked in. And everyone was loving it and in such a good movie. It was super lively even though it was 1am. Didn't eat but they serve food. Alcohol was cheap. I had a beer and a tequila soda. The Allagash White beer was phenomenal.

We come here specifically for karaoke with Jackie. She's the best, and the sound system is good! Drinks and service are fine. Bathroom is typically clean, and there's often space to move around in the bar. The only issue is that sometimes the people playing pool get in the way of the screens of people singing karaoke. You can, however go wherever you want in the bar to sing, but I just like doing it close to where I grab the mic.

    12" pizza in a 10" box?
    Michael B.

Ordered a 12" pizza last night, and it looked quite small. I flipped the box over and noticed a 10" print. Why the false advertisement on Uber Eats? Pizza was good, but a 9" pizza was too small for 2 ppl.

went to karaoke saturday last night and had a great time! our pizza was delicious and the vibes were up courtesy of KJ Jackie! we ordered at the counter when we arrived and chose where we wanted to sit, and then our food was brought to our table very shortly after. there's arcade games, and pool, but we came for the karaoke and we weren't disappointed! love how the mics are wireless so you can really perform and get the crowd going.

The best pizza I've ever had! They have so many beers on tap too. Nora took our order & she was so Gen Z coded! She ATE down on our food order. She was so funny too! She gave us the number "67" & did the little dance (extra tip for her) #clockedit

Best Detroit pizza around. Along with cold beer on a hot day. Great music on the juke box and always a friendly face behind the bar.

The highlight was definitely the atmosphere. They had multiple TVs throughout the restaurant, which made watching the World Cup easy and fun. They have a good selection of American food, and I ordered chicken risotto ($24) from the "favorites" section of the menu. Portion sizes here are good, and we were very full after dinner. Service here was basic, and we got everything we needed. Friday night is also a peak time at Downtown Fullerton, so it was hard to find parking spot. However, the ambience here was relaxed. While the chicken risotto was pricy, I enjoyed the mixed flavors and large portion size. The flavor came from the caper-parmesan beurre blanc sauce. It's a slightly creamy butter sauce with mild sweetness and added flavor from white wine. The capers added a very welcome tangy and savory seasoning to the sauce; they're one of my favorite garnishes. The flavors from the breaded chicken and risotto weren't too strong. However, I would've liked the dish more with if they put less parmesan because I enjoyed the flavor from the beurre blanc sauce the most.

Ambience on the inside as well as the outside are both pretty great. I've also never had a bad meal here, virtually all of their food is spectacular and made from scratch although their prices are not "cheap" they are also very fair, especially given the quality of food. The drinks are also dead on, they have a wide range of craft beer as well as a full bar. The service is great. The only thing I could think of the lands in the constructive arena is their live music. Sometimes they have open mic nights, other times they have a hired band or musician. The music is way, wayyy too loud. I don't mind live music, but it can't be so loud that you are unable to enjoy the company. Patrons should be able to talk to the person or the people next to them without being drowned out by the music. I recently came with friends for drinks and we were having a great time for the first 10 minutes we were there, but when the music started, we couldn't hear each other talk at all. So we just sat there quietly, drowned out to mediocre music. We all had another drink and then left. Might be a better idea to have the music loud enough to be slightly above background noise, but low enough where you can reasonably talk and listen to those around. Even ordering at the bar was tough. We would yell an order at the bartender, who would yell at back for confirmation. Often, exchanges in this dialogue included "what was that?"

I typically dine here at…read moreleast once a week because the food is consistently delicious, and when I visit in the evenings and sit in Mario's section, the service is always exceptional. Unfortunately, my experiences during the day have been the complete opposite, and both involved the same server, Tania B. The first incident occurred when I ordered my usual meal: the Steak Frites, cooked medium rare with the mushroom peppercorn gravy. When my meal arrived without mushrooms, I politely mentioned that it normally comes with them. Rather than checking with the kitchen or simply explaining the dish, Tania immediately insisted that it had never included mushrooms. I even asked if the recipe had recently changed because I had been there the previous week and it was served with mushrooms. She walked away, returned with a menu, tossed it on the table, and said, "It doesn't say mushrooms." Her tone and attitude were unnecessarily dismissive and unprofessional. Ironically, when I returned another evening and ordered the exact same dish, it was served with mushrooms. Today (7/31/26), I returned for lunch and, unfortunately, Tania was my server again. I ordered the Steak Frites medium rare, but it arrived closer to medium-well or well done. I politely explained that it wasn't cooked as ordered. She took the plate back, returned a few minutes later, and told me, "That's how it's going to be. Take it or leave it. The chef is the owner, and that's his message." I mentioned that last time she told me it didn't come with mushrooms and clearly there's mushrooms on my dish. She responds with, well sometime it does and sometimes it doesn't. I'm like so inconsistency is a thing here? She replies with if that's how you want to see it. I asked if I could speak with the owner directly, and she responded that he was "too busy making food" and refused to let me speak with him. My friend and I paid for the rest of our meal and were preparing to leave when I noticed another employee in the kitchen. I asked if he was the owner, and he explained that he wasn't and that the owner was actually downstairs. I simply asked if I could have Nick's phone number or email so I could share my concerns. The employee kindly said he would see what he could do. While we waited, Tania approached us multiple times in a confrontational manner instead of allowing us to wait peacefully. Rather than focusing on the guests seated at her bar, she seemed more interested in arguing with customers who had legitimate concerns. Throughout both visits, she displayed poor customer service, responded with attitude when simple requests were made (even something as basic as asking for a side of ranch seemed to annoy her), dismissed concerns instead of trying to resolve them, and escalated situations that could have been handled professionally in less than a minute. What makes this especially disappointing is that the restaurant itself is excellent. The food is consistently great, and Mario provides some of the best service I've experienced anywhere. Unfortunately, one employee can dramatically impact an otherwise outstanding restaurant. If Tania is, in fact, a manager as I was told, it's concerning. A manager should be setting the standard for hospitality, resolving guest concerns professionally, and de-escalating situations--not arguing with customers or making them feel unwelcome. I truly hope ownership addresses this because Pour Company deserves better representation than what I experienced. I would love to continue supporting this restaurant, but I will be avoiding daytime visits as long as this level of service continues.

However, you don't always want to feel like you're trying too hard to change your scenery, bumping you too far out of your comfort zone. The answer my friends, is the good old classic American dive bar. Now, many places like to call themselves a dive bar just because they never clean a single inch of their establishment and have seedy patrons that love to play the more than occasional 80's songs on the jukebox but don't be mistaken, a good dive bar is hard to find. Well, I happen to have found one and it's in Fullerton of all places. That's right, Fullerton, not Los Angeles, nor Hollywood nor some pop-culturally over-hyped city. What makes The Blue Door a good dive bar? First, there's earned consistency & routine. The drinks won't always be made well, or the bartender won't always be attentive but if you come a few times, you'll soon know at what time and day the drinks are made properly by knowing the schedules of the bartenders. Secondly, the drinks are stiff, the service is friendly and nobody bothers you unless you bother them. The atmosphere goes from lively and loud to quiet and solitary, again depending upon when you visit. Lastly, they're open from 6:00AM-2:00AM. They're not just there when the hipsters are around, they're there for you whenever you make the bad decision of using alcohol as an anesthetic. Stay searching for the last remains of Americana my friends....
