This is another secret gem in Downtown Fullerton. You can enter from the back or the front doors. I reserved the semi-private section facing Commonwealth. I got the idea from a beloved colleague who had her going away party last year here. You can wear super casual clothes bc the vibes are low-key and relaxed. We had a party of about 17 + in our adults only for happy hour reserved for 4:15 - 7 PM to celebrate the launch of our 2nd year together. We ordered a variety of apps and pizza flavors. For apps, the zucchini fries with ranch dressing were BOMB! Our group also enjoyed the lemon pepper and teriyaki wings, tossed just right, not too saucy. Let's talk about their pizzas and pies: deep dish pepperoni, vegetarian, margherita cheese, pepperoni (A+ curl on the pep), buffalo chicken, and the star finale, chicharrones topping - pizzas (ALL in Extra Large) and as the came in, the waitresses and water brought it out piping hot! The cheese pull was real and long, the sauce was even, and the dough wasn't too chewy or too thick, just right. The person on the phone reserving and taking my order before we even arrived, was super nice to me. When we got there, people can order the own items at the register. The servers are super friendly and their HH "refills" kept coming. The ambiance is SUPER CHILL and loud. Such a fun place to go when you want a pizza and beer...or if you're like us, coming to karaoke nights or listening to live music during the Day of Music festival! But what I really wanted to share was that we FINALLY tried the Detroit Style deep dish pizza and wow. Such a great looking and great tasting pizza. We come to The Bowery pretty regularly for karaoke, although I mostly mean sitting at the bar, drinking and watching other people sing. They've got a full bar, a decent craft beer selection and all the usual mixed drinks, but somehow we'd never actually tried the pizza. That changed recently, and holy crap, the pizza is GOOD. The Detroit-style hot honey pizza in particular was phenomenal -- crispy, cheesy edges, tons of flavor and fresh toppings, with just the right amount of sweet heat. We also tried the taco pizza, which was a fun change of pace and surprisingly delicious. So apparently we've been coming here all this time and overlooking one of the best things they make. As my previous review from a few years ago states, this is a great place to have a party. I hosted a party here on the 4th of July. The restaurant was originally going to open at 12, but I knew my guests would be arriving earlier. I spoke with the owner John a few days before and he accommodated to open at 11. This place is awesome! Always something to do, always lively, always someone you know and always the greatest people working. You can't really beat it and then there's the food. It's fantastic no matter what you get and they don't just have Pizza. They have pasta, sandwiches, salads to die for! Tons of appetizers, and their buffalo wings are out of this world. This bar restaurant is a fun and casual hangout space with karaoke, bar games, and a small arcade. We shared a 14-inch (medium) pesto pizza ($23) that tasted very good. The ingredients were basil pine nut pesto, garlic, ricotta, and red chili flakes. The New York-style slices (thin crust) were big, and we had four each. You order in front, and the food gets delivered to your table. There's also a big iced water dispenser available. Note that they have a three-percent surcharge for paying on a credit card. It gets expectedly loud due to the karaoke, but you can get to hear some experienced singers. It's fun as the whole restaurant can get involved at times. On a Thursday night, you may have some difficulty finding parking close by if not utilizing public transit. Was walking back to the hotel after a long night and heard the beat and laughter even though the door was closed and I just had to come in. As soon as I walked in there was a play area. Basketball. Air hockey. Etc. and as you continue you it turns into the bar, seating, and dance floor. It was karaoke happening when we walked in. And everyone was loving it and in such a good movie. We come here specifically for karaoke with Jackie. She's the best, and the sound system is good! Drinks and service are fine. Bathroom is typically clean, and there's often space to move around in the bar. The only issue is that sometimes the people playing pool get in the way of the screens of people singing karaoke. You can, however go wherever you want in the bar to sing, but I just like doing it close to where I grab the mic. read more

This is the best pizza in Downtown Fullerton! The owners and service are A+! Unfortunately, my husband and I were there today when this whole situation took place (refer to the photo reviews attached) and yes, a gentleman in their party was loud and obviously intoxicated and disturbing other patrons and asked to quiet down. Then another woman in a blue and white striped top and shorts, who was also, intoxicated, started to question why the manger asked him to to quiet it down and his response was b/c he was being disruptive to the other patrons. While this was happening, another incident was happening w/ the same group in the women's restroom and it became unpleasing to patrons and their employees. Unfortunately, when this group was called out for their behavior, they immediately called it "racist" and that is not the truth or the facts. This group needs to take accountability for their actions and stop trying to slander a business for their embarrassing and intoxicating behavior that was not of any fault of The Bowery and management. read more

All we did was order 2 large pizzas, a lot of apps, and multiple drinks. At one point the bartender said one of us was too loud - in a bar. And we asked the bartender to tell us if we were too loud. The food was absolutely terrible. The ghost pepper wings were old and soggy and had an odor to them. It was gross! I had a very bad tummy hours later after eating just one wing. I wanted this to settle in before I write a review. I was there with about 50 people, and there were no complaints about the food and all the compliments. The bear was ice cold, which is a huge plus. There are a few different backgrounds in this establishment, but it's mostly for families and get together's. I noticed A couple weeks later my visa bill was more than it should've been. Just celebrated my daughter's birthday at The Bowery. From start to finish, everything was great! Kristen was such a great help and made everything easy. Joe kept checking in on us and made sure that we were well taken care of. Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed the food. It was certainly spicy, but tasted awful to the point we tried three wings and tossed the rest. Pizzas were okay but nothing special. Had an amazing experience first time this Thursday - went back last night and there was a huge party going on. Managed to get some seats at the bar. Understandably the bartenders were distracted and took long to replenish our beers. Sadly our pizza came out wrong so they had to refire but it came out nice and hot. Wings are highly recommended 10/10. I just wish the two male bartenders last night were most hospitable and less distracted by their friends drinking at the end of the bar. But who doesn't love when their friends can come visit and drink at their work.
