My friends and I visited this restaurant for the first time, and surprisingly, there was no wait on a Friday night. They have a good selection of American food, and I ordered chicken risotto ($24) from the "favorites" section of the menu. Portion sizes here are good, and we were very full after dinner. Service here was basic, and we got everything we needed. Friday night is also a peak time at Downtown Fullerton, so it was hard to find parking spot. However, the ambience here was relaxed. While the chicken risotto was pricy, I enjoyed the mixed flavors and large portion size. The flavor came from the caper-parmesan beurre blanc sauce. It's a slightly creamy butter sauce with mild sweetness and added flavor from white wine. The capers added a very welcome tangy and savory seasoning to the sauce; they're one of my favorite garnishes. The flavors from the breaded chicken and risotto weren't too strong. However, I would've liked the dish more with if they put less parmesan because I enjoyed the flavor from the beurre blanc sauce the most. read more

Sundays brunch are popular here! Came on a Sunday brunch time, was in a mood for steak and eggs. The steak is pretty large , it comes with eggs any way you want and either potatoes or hash browns. Wow! I had no idea this was in Fullerton. Went to brunch with a friend and she selected this spot. Staff: The staff were so welcoming. There was a large selection of items for breakfast. Even better they open at 9am on the weekend, if you're an early riser :) Quality of Food: I ordered the Eggs " You Call 'Em" and it was the perfect variety. I love soft scramble eggs and it was cooked to perfection. The Hashbrowns were crispy and not oily at all. I opted for the house baked muffin which was blueberry and it was delicious. The Bacon & sausages were an nice compliment to the meal. Parking: There is lots of street parking or a parking structure nearby. I came here to have lunch with friends early on a Saturday afternoon. Our server was exceptionally friendly. I had the chicken parmesan that came with some spaghetti. My friend recommended the risotto and it looked really good as well. I would say the overall menu for food looks solid. There is a good selection of beer here as well! My boo and I were in Fullerton on a Saturday looking for a spot to catch the Laker game, and I saw that Fullerton Brew Co. was bookmarked on my Yelp. Best decision ever! Gabriel welcomed us and sat us at table 2--a cozy booth with our own TV. He kindly switched it to the Laker game right away and was super polite and accommodating. Great first impression. The atmosphere was laid-back, and having a TV at our table made it the perfect game day setup. Our server, Hailey, was incredible--knowledgeable, friendly, and on point with every recommendation. I was on the fence about which drink to try, and she suggested the Sour Whiskey--FIRE. So good, I'm still thinking about it. Shoutout to Breanna behind the bar. She's clearly a pro. That drink was crafted to perfection. Then came the food. We couldn't decide between pizza or nachos, and Haley recommended the chicken nachos. Again--FIRE. For dessert, she suggested the Mud Pie. Again--FIRE. Hailey went 3 for 3 on recommendations. She seriously knows her stuff. We visited on a Friday night, the spot was full but had no problem finding seats by the window with an awesome view! Service was great, very personable and attentive. Between 4 of us we tried the following: Hot dog, a good ol dog grilled to perfection! Fish tacos were bomb! Lots of cabbage, creama and avocado. I always forget that this place is here and it's not an actual brewery. This is my first time actually sitting down for food and not just drinks. We had calamari and potato skins for appetizers and they were so good I wished there were more. I ordered the risotto and I loved the fact that the chicken was fried but the risotto itself was dry. So that was kind of a bummer. Overall the flavors were there. The wife got the patty melt and that was damn good. They have a great beer selection and it's not too busy for a game day. We ate there for the first time today during lunchtime. My bf had the BLT and a salad. Both were terrific! Sean (1) was our waiter. The service was great! He brought our drinks immediately. Took our order soon as we were ready. Food didn't take long at all. Sean checked on us several times for refills. He was professional, friendly and efficient without hovering. Haven't been here for a bit, so I mess missing it a little and it's always a great place to go with the pups since they're very dog friendly on their large patio. Since we were out with the dogs, we just decided to have a bloody Mary and a Cape Cod to refresh ourselves after our dog walk lol. And then we snacked on some southwest eggrolls and potstickers! Both are great and have been on their menu forever, but we didn't want to eat heavily because it was late afternoon and we were saving room for dinner at home later. We walked over to a table that was clearly not clean, which was ok just gotta wipe it down. She never came back with a rag even after being asked. Waiter came out and took our order right away, brought us water and even a doggy bowl for water. They have Pliny the elder on tap which was a nice surprise. Used to be called 'Stadium' when it was a 'sports bar'. It still hangs onto that niche by broadcasting a ton of sports on every screen inside. Seriously good food since the change. Seems like management needs a spanking. Service was fine, adequate, but what was lacking was clearly because of management issues. When we first walked in there wasn't a single staff member in front of house. After about 5 minutes, four or more staff come out from the back at once. By the wait staff's demeanor, it was clear they had just been subjected to some sort of castigation by management. This certainly negatively affected our time there, but again, this is NOT an issue with the service staff. Additionally, we were given a 4-6oz pour of a beer we were told was out by our waiter, and that we WOULD NOT be charged for the small pour. Our check does not reflect this; in fact, we were charged for 2 pours of the beer we had been told WOULD NOT be charged. Again, given the bizarre choice by management to place their staff under that kind of administrative stress during the dinner hours, I do not blame the wait staff for this error. Neither do I care if it is corrected. Finally, the QR code menu specials had not been updated. A minor issue, but I believe it speaks to the management. read more

We came here after the Farmers Market/before Thursday night trivia and were seated immediately. Our waiter promptly provided us with water and took our drink order. The Risotto was by far the best I've ever had! I am not a fan of mushrooms, but they worked so well in this risotto. The capers and spinach in the risotto were fantastic. Even my boyfriend commented how good the risotto was. The chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Wonderfully done! The wings were flavorful and were also crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. There was a hearty amount of seasoning on the wings; although would have been better if it was more evenly distributed.
