I'm a sucker for a great beer flight, and I was super impressed by Bottle Logic. We ended up ordering a few rounds of flights to share. The beer selection is pretty large and delicious. One of the beers we got is the Tropical Hideaway, which really reminds me of the pineapple Dole whip at Disneyland. It's a smoothie-style beer with lots of tropical flavor. Tons of tables outside to hang out, and when we went there was a food truck with great smash burgers outside. And the bartenders are super knowledgeable about the beer -- we got some great recs. Lastly, they sell canned beer to take home. I got the She Shot First IPA (which has a very Rosie the Riveter meets Star Wars vibe), and it was phenomenal. The beer and seltzers here are very good, most of the ones I tried were very good! Though from the moment we entered we did not feel very welcome by the staff and that is why I'm rating 2 stars because service is a big part of the experience. My favorite was "From the Deep". The Rocket pop frozen seltzer was too sweet to enjoy. The "Garden Studies" seltzer was very good due to the lychee and other flavors but also a bit too sweet. My dad really enjoyed all the IPAs, this was his Father's Day gift. But the bartender did not greet us at all when we walked in, he was not friendly at all in my opinion. Though he did answer most questions I had about the beers and seltzers. Had to go back 3-4 times to ask if the frozen seltzer was finally ready. Then when I went back in to ask for samples, I asked how many I'm able to try and the bartender said "you've already had a lot so not many more" so I only asked for 2 though I wanted to try one more. Are we supposed to get rushed out ? I understand the place closes at 10pm, tonight, but if they did last call for the last drink at 9:55pm and we're told we have to finish our drinks fast? We left a little past 10 because some guy named Chris kept telling us that we had to finish our drinks and leave. Idk. It seems pretty messed up to be asked to chug a 14oz beer in 5 minutes. I definitely didnt like that Chris told up we have to leave and he needs to take our glasses. Terrible. I came in on a Monday afternoon and my experience was just ok! I have tried Bottle Logic beer in the area at other locations but this was my first time at this specific location. They have a couple of unisex bathrooms which are clean and usable. You can sit at the bar and order at the bar, as I did. The beers and their prices are helpfully listed on your typical brewery board. I appreciated the descriptions of each beer and also the listed alcohol content. The classic Hanamachi was the most appealing to me. Including a $2 tip, my bill was about $10. I took the beer outside where it wasn't too hot. I was looking to charge my phone and it looks like there was only one table with outlets that was occupied so I went outside where there weren't any outlets anyway. After we left Pfeiffer, we checked out Bottle Logic (where Darren directed us because of their IPAs and Stouts). I tried the Dark Rituals, a fusion of rye stout and barley wine, that I may never forget. It's delicious. The beertender took great care of us, and we had a wonderful time there. I was so impressed by Dark Rituals that I can't even tell you which IPA my husband tried, other that to tell you that he thought it was great. The place itself is way cool, with decor that celebrates the brewery's dedication to science. The beertender gave us a lot of background regarding the beers and the company. I came by on a Tuesday evening to meet up with a girlfriend after work to catch up. The place wasn't busy. The beer I wanted to order (Mexican lager) was sold out so I settled on the 'Out for Blood' (blonde ale with blood orange). It was good but my second drink was fantastic. I ordered the iced tea lemonade hard seltzer. As a huge fan of Arnold Palmer's, I loved this. I should have looked more closely at the menu before ordering my first beer. I would have gotten this first. My friend ordered the Toes to the Nose and it was great! Really enjoyed it. For her second drink, she got the Aurora Borealis. There are two televisions are inside streaming sports. Nine can sit at the bar. 26 can be accommodated inside at the four tables and one long table connected to side. Guessing the outside patio can sit 50 people. There is one rotating food truck every day but outside food is welcome if you have dietary restrictions or just want something different. There are two gender neutral restrooms. There is only street parking. I really liked the ambiance of this place. The taproom servers were all friendly and helpful in selecting a beverage. Great beer, but a frustrating open-tab policy keeps it from 5 stars I've been here a few times and I honestly don't think I've ever had a bad beer. The selection is solid and the quality is consistently high -- I highly recommend the beers themselves. That said, I can't give 5 stars after a recent visit. I ordered an $8 beer, opened a tab, and then had to leave unexpectedly right after (didn't even get to drink it). I assumed any unclosed tab would default to a standard 20% tip. Instead, I was charged $14.16 total , which works out to roughly a 68% tip on the beer. I understand that open tabs are annoying for the staff, and things happen. But when you don't have a working phone or aren't given the chance to close out, a nearly 70% automatic charge feels excessive. A clearer policy or lower default gratuity on abandoned tabs would go a long way. Plenty of great beer options in SoCal, so this definitely stings. Hoping they reconsider the approach. read more

If you're a stout lover like me, this place is a dream. They serve up an impressive variety, each one poured into these adorable 5oz stemmed glasses that somehow make every sip feel fancy. We snagged a spot in the open area and brought our dog along, yes, it's dog-friendly! There was a private party happening in a closed off area next to where we were at, which added a fun buzz without being too intrusive. The sandy ground wasn't my favorite (sand in shoes, no thanks), but that didn't stop us from meeting other dog parents and even setting up a future pup play date. Total win. Parking's tucked in the back, and by the time we left around 7PM on Friday, it was packed, so plan ahead if you're arriving later. read more

This is one of the best brewers out there. Any time we see a new Bottle Logic offering at our local beer bar it's a must-try. We've only managed to make it out to the actual Bottle Logic taproom three times, but it's always been a treat. Everything on their menu is worth trying, and they have at least a dozen options so you can easily come for multiple visits. Amazing every time! This is my #1 favorite Brewery. This review has been way overdue on my end, but everything is so good you won't regret supporting this hole in the wall. If you like Hazy IPA, the "Fuzzy Logic" is sooooo stunning, & has a hint of Peach. Even my brother was instantly struck, he had to come back with me on another occasion to make sure he was hooked! The beauty of it all, is that they sell Fuzzy Logic Cans to go, and other beverages including the "Aurora Borealis" seltzer, which has always been my ultimate favorite! They have a great selection of seltzers and fantastic service. People there treat you so kindly and I've never had a bad experience. Seltzer selection is a little small but haven't had a bad one. Just stopped by and it happened to be Star Wars May the Fourth themed weekend. One of my favorite breweries. Hard stop. No more qualifying language needed. A fun, geek leaning brewery that usually has a great variety of beers at any given time - from light, more sessionable options to fruitier seltzers /smoothie beers to the more heavy, barrel aged darker strong ales/ stouts (my favorite!). Every time I've been here, it's at least pretty lively with a decent amount of folks enjoying themselves to events that are almost outright pandemonium. Everyone I've interacted here from events to the usual normal operation nights have been friendly. I've been going here for years now and am now just writing this review... I've completed four of 'Week of Logics' (I think I've only missed one - and recently finished my fourth) and been here for numerous big releases. Heck, when they had their raffle for only two Fundamental Theorem magnums in existence, I was able to win one of them! I've opened that bottle among friends and still have the empty as a souvenir. Over the years, I've had so many great barrel aged beers from them and they rarely ever miss. They have a decent amount of their beer circling in distribution as well, so it's not surprising to find their bottles in the southern California area where craft beer is sold. Parking only seems to be a problem during the biggest events. And if you are planning on drinking a lot, I strongly suggest you utilize ride services or have a designated driver anyway. read more

Bottle Logic is where I fell in love with Stout Beers and the hubby with craft beers. We hadn't been back since before Covid and knew the Week of logic (in March 2024) would be the perfect time!! We went the Saturday before it started and registered. It went from Sunday to the next Saturday. We went all 7 days and earned rewards along the way along with a special brew day coming up in July! My favorite stout here is fundamental forces ( before it was called Tahitian teal dragon). It's an imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels with Tahitian vanilla beans. It's strong, creamy and a little goes a long way lol. During the week of Logic a couple of my faves were the Dead Drop( Lavender Paloma Tequila barrel aged Seltzer), Altered Gait (rum barrel aged seltzer with pink guava , pineapple ). Each pour was about $9-$12. Friday and weekends are great times to come but it can get crowded and parking can be a be tough at times where you may have had to park a bit ways away or wait for a spot. They usually will have a food truck per day and during the week of logic there were several. The staff is friendly and there's usually not a long line to order what you'd like to drink. There's also not a ton of seats so you may have to stand at times but usually you can sit your beer near an area. read more
