Mango Cart Mas

In short, great place with lots of good and drink options, but it can get packed out during events at the stadium. My +1 and I took our Little to Monster Jam at the Angels Stadium and found ourselves with a couple of hours before the main show. Since we had already parked at the stadium, we decided to walk here since it was right across the street, unfortunately for us, a whole lot of other people had the same idea. There was a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, but there were even more people, and what seemed like a mad rush to try and find open spots. It was all self - seating, with waiters running around their areas trying to make sense of it all. We circled around along with a lot of other people, and we happened upon a family that was leaving soon, and asked if we wanted their table. Score! We kept it simple and ordered burgers and fries for all of us, and beers for the adults. The food was decent, and surprisingly came out pretty quickly I have to say, despite the chaotic background, our servers were fairly up to speed. I had to take one point off because I felt like it could've been organized much better, instead of the battle Royale to try and find a place to sit. Nevertheless, we are grateful for the food and drink, and may come back when it's a little less busy.

Honestly such a good spot for a sports game day! The food is such a hit and you can't go wrong with a mango cart. I do want to personally give a huge shout out to Beto, although its a warmish day i asked for a heater to be on and he was super kind and funny about it. He was working hard the whole time and with a HUGE smile on his face. I genuinely hope he is appreciated because he was the reason i even made this review. He made our experience 100x better!

Good food, good service, nice selection of beers and dog and children friendly, can't ask for more! This space is huge. It's perfect for big groups. A lot of indoor and outdoor places. We sat outside because the weather was beautiful. We didn't know that the portions were huge and we orders the veggie pizza, sheet nachos and a kids slider. It was a lot of food but everything was so good! And we tried the lager and the seltzer. Both were so good!! The parking area can get bus but you can also find street parking!!

Great pre-game spot! In town for the Padres game and I was really surprised there wasn't more planes in the area. This was a great find. Huge place inside and out. All of the staff were super friendly and they were all hustling. The place was super busy. The food came out really quickly and I was looking forward to the Mother Clucker chicken sandwich I ordered. I was definitely not disappointed!

First of all Aaron H. Is a rockstar and helped us greatly. We ordered a variety of beers, and I tried the hazy IPA. It was ok. I asked Aaron what was his best beer, he suggested the Trapdoor. Bingo! Nice body, goes down well, and a winner overall. I'd suggest this one. We had Brussels sprouts, pepperoni pizza, burger, and street tacos. All food was as delivered and so good. I would say this establishment has better food than beer, although both work enough for a solid 5 star. The music is hip and nice background volume so you can vibe and still talk. If you are attending an Angels game, it is across the street! Get here at least a few hours early though, it gets crowded. A++

The customer service was great, and their beers are even better. Their outdoor seating was a plus, especially today because it was somewhat cloudy and there was a breeze. Will come back again.

We have been here several times. We went for a Saturday Mother's Day's lunch this time. They moved some stuff around a bit. The seating works way better than before. It's very clean and comfortable. Beers are great, food is pretty good. The best thing was our service, the girls that were serving us were awesome. THANK YOU BOTH

Kevin T.

This is a great place to meet and grab some beers! The food is great too especially during their happy hour! They have a good cripsy tuna rice and my favorite beer is the Mango Mas! The service is good. It's a seat yourself situation and the waiters will approach you after some time. The place is open and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. There's always a sports game they're playing on the TV. The ambiance is loud and lively. There's 2 parking lots, but they get filled fast. there's street parking available as well!

Always an easy gathering spot for groups of all sizes! Great food, dog friendly, open space, and outdoor activities when the weather is nice ! Servers are always so friendly!! If you've never been, you must visit!

Second time at Golden Road was still good but not as great as the first. The space is still fun and lively but the food and service didn't hit like before. My fam all went both times and all said this time the food wasn't as good- I agreed. Also they brought one dish out way before the rest so that plate got cold. And the service was really slow, we had to keep getting up to go to the bar to get stuff because we were waiting for so long for napkins, refills, anything. We still had a great time but had higher expectations because of our previous visit.

Large soft pretzel with dipping sauce.

Me first time here ....killing pre concert time waiting for a nearby Duran Duran concert at Honda Center. Very large and spacious inside & out. Great outdoor patios. Had an IPA and a Lzger plus chicken nuggets and fried; all tasty and filling. Quick service. Yes, I'd definitely return. I miss the nearby Hooters that was around hrre for several years near Angels Stadium.

POG Mai Tai
Alyanna S.

I've bought Golden Road cans before over the years, but I had no idea the brewery was so close to me! They've got some other options besides the cans they sell at stores, I got the POG Mai Tai. Honestly, I have no idea what a mai tai is supposed to be but it was good. Some friends shared their food items with me, so I got to try the poke nachos, pretzel, fries and the margherita pizza. All were good but the pretzel was SO fire. A little crisp on the outside, soft on the inside and with a good tasting cheese dip, not too salty. It also had the right amount of salt on top. The staff was also great, the person who took my order (receipt says my server was PM Ghost B?) was friendly and others kept checking in on my party to make sure we were okay. I would come back here, if not just for that delicious pretzel.

Poke Nachos

Tried this Brewery last night. We came around 6 pm so the parking wasn't bad. There's other parking around the area so you'll be able to find a spot. There was a large selection of IPAs and Beers. We also tried the Chicken nachos and the poke nachos which were decent bar food. Service was fantastic Everyone was very nice. Servers were constantly walking around and checking in. Inside was super spacious so will definitely come back with a bigger group!

Is Golden Road always open before Angels games?

Yes! You can park there actually as long as you buy something and have them validate your ticket

Is it family friendly?

Yes! When I went with my group, there were a number of families with small kids. There are also lots of tables and space out in the back if you'd like more open air and/or room for moving around. They also had some board games you can borrow (+ 2… Read more

Do they having diaper changing stations in restrooms?

No they do not

What time do they close?

I see they have brunch on Sundays, what does it consist of, how much and is it worth it?

Do they have any games? If so what are they? Giant jenga, corn hole, connect four, giant beer pong?

Do they show NFL games with sound?

They sure do!

What is the parking situation like? Is there a private lot?

There is a private lot but during peak hours, it fills up. Street parking is also available but, again, peak hours will get you circling if you don't plan accordingly. Carpool if you can.

Yep. People bring their dogs all the time to the outside portion

Are you able to take cakes or cupcake's inside?

They are friendly about these items. Go for it!

Yes, definitely kid friendly. I brought my 1.5 year old recently. Sit outside, there's plenty of space for a little one to run around there!

What is the parking situation like here?

Their parking lot is small and the street parking can fill up quickly, especially if there's an Angel's game going on because many go to Golden Road to pre-game

Yes. They have a lot of board games and giant connect 4 to play with. Also a pool table. Pets welcome too.

Do they have hard cider?

The have ace pineapple cider

They have them on tap

Are pets allowed?

Yes

Some would argue that every hour here is happy hour...

Are dogs welcomed?

I've seen dogs on the outside patio pretty much every weekend. I'd assume they're fine!

Do they do Reservations?

I don't know about small parties, but they do reservations for large parties, as long as you hit a minimum of $1500 in purchases.

The selection is solid and the quality is consistently high -- I highly recommend the beers themselves. That said, I can't give 5 stars after a recent visit. I ordered an $8 beer, opened a tab, and then had to leave unexpectedly right after (didn't even get to drink it). I assumed any unclosed tab would default to a standard 20% tip. Instead, I was charged $14.16 total , which works out to roughly a 68% tip on the beer. I understand that open tabs are annoying for the staff, and things happen. But when you don't have a working phone or aren't given the chance to close out, a nearly 70% automatic charge feels excessive. A clearer policy or lower default gratuity on abandoned tabs would go a long way. Plenty of great beer options in SoCal, so this definitely stings. Hoping they reconsider the approach.

He was not willing to refund since they were not technically the ones charging you. Once we sat at the bar, the bartender was nice and made us feel comfortable so we could enjoy our night. The place was crowded with families with kids, adults just overindulging and being very loud. The moment the event started time got closer, all of this crowd started leaving which allowed us to really enjoy our night. The food was great as always. At around $26 all day, we were honestly surprised at how affordable it was, especially for a customizable stir-fry concept. The setup is straightforward: you choose your base, proteins, vegetables, and sauces, then watch as they cook everything on a large circular grill station in front of you. They also offer a small salad bar with options like build-your-own Caesar salad, macaroni salad, and clam chowder. When we walked in, the restaurant appeared clean and it wasn't very busy (we went on a Monday). One thing I didn't realize beforehand is that you're limited to one bowl at a time for your stir-fry and the bowls are on the smaller side. So you really have to strategize and pack everything in carefully before heading to the grill. The ingredient station could definitely use better organization. The labeling was confusing, and it wasn't always clear what was what. I also wish there had been more attention to cross contamination practices. For those who avoid certain meats like pork, it's worth noting that the same spatulas are used across different dishes on the grill. Service was another area that could improve. After being seated, it took quite a while for someone to bring menus and drinks. There appeared to be only one server managing all the tables, and I genuinely felt bad for the young gentleman who was running around trying to keep up. Meanwhile, there was someone in a suit walking around who didn't seem to be assisting the floor staff, which was a bit puzzling. As for the food itself: the salad bar was decent not amazing, but acceptable. The macaroni salad was fine. The clam chowder, however, was not enjoyable and tasted very canned. The stir-fry was okay overall; I personally wasn't a fan of the sauce options, but for the price point, expectations should be realistic. Would I come back? Probably not. However, if you're looking for an affordable all you can eat option and don't want to spend too much on a night out, it might be worth trying once. It serves its purpose for a budget-friendly meal but it's not somewhere I'd go out of my way to revisit.
