    Lit up and festive walkway
    Anthony F.

In short, it's a hidden gem with great beer, just needs a little more weather-proof space. I came here with a buddy after hearing another friend rave about Monkish making his favorite beer. Surprisingly enough, parking was challenging because it's right next to the Anaheim Packing District, which loves up to its name by always being packed. So we parked down the street and around the corner, took a shortcut through the Packing District, and through a festive, lit walkway to the brewery. The place is pretty spartan on decor, but has a nice covered outdoor patio that is surrounded by foliage. Unfortunately, the covering was not waterproof, and it was raining pretty heavily rendering the searing wet and unusable. Inside, however, we were able to find a couple seats. We both tried a couple Belgians, which were strong and delicious. The guy at the register really knew his menu, gave great recommendations, and let us sample a couple to help us to decide what to drink. The limited holiday ones we tried especially were great. Overall, great spot to enjoy a good brew or two. I'll come back when the weather is better so I can enjoy the patio.

For fans of sour beers, this is a gem. They have lots of good sours. There is not that many seats inside but why stay in when you can bring your beers out, and enjoy the sunshine while sipping those tasty bevs? I recommend making a stop at this brewery if you're in the area.

This is one of my favorite breweries! Relaxed vibe with plenty of seating. Service is always great with chill people working. I am always impressed by the beer here!!! Definitely one of the better breweries in the area consistently. Please just note that parking in this area is simply terrible. Plan ahead!

Amazing beers if you're a Hazy fan. Good amount of seating. TVs at the bar. Highly recommend.

Such a fun spot to grab a beer and hangout with friends. After coming to the Pop up farmers market this was perfect t to grab a beer and hang with friends. They had a fun vendor selling burgers as well and they smelled so good. Loved the little garden area and the tables and inside you can sit as well kinda like a bar area and they had TVs as well to catch a game.. fun spot for sure. We have one close to our home but love that they had a smaller location elsewhere.

This place has some of the best IPAs around. I used to drive to Torrance location but I no longer have the need to do that since Anaheim is much closer to me. The inside is pretty small but they do have a nice size outdoor patio area. I definitely enjoy the vibes here, listening to underground Hip Hop while sipping on a cold beer, you can't beat that. The parking can be a headache due to the fact that it's right next to the Anaheim Packing District. Great establishment, great vibes, friendly attentive staff, and a great selection of beers, this place has my recommendation!

Always a good vibe with nice and friendly service! Beer selection is always killer. A must visit every time in Cali.

Absolutely adored the selection of craft beers at Monkish. I was recommended this place by my photo group and it was well decorated for the spooky season vibes. Line was relatively smooth and ample space for relaxing. Great spot!!

    Hellish German Lager

My bf and I stumbled upon this brewery as we finished eating dinner at Georgia's. OMG! This area is amazing! I had no idea it existed until I searched for Soul Food places. We ordered the Hellish German Ale as we wanted something light as we stuffed ourselves. The brewery wasn't packed, and I loved the outdoor seating. The beer was delicious, which is what I was expecting. I can't comment on the price as it was my bf's treat, but I'm sure it didn't break the bank for two pints. The servers were sweet and, as a Hello Kitty fanatic, I about lost my mind when I saw a Twin Stars Stout. I didn't realize how terrible the parking is, so I broke down and parked valet. The best $10 I ever spent because ALL of the street parking was taken. There is so much to do near the brewery that we are going to spend more time hanging out on our next visit.

The beer and service are excellent. The parking is not great in this area but I managed.

Second time dropping in here when I come back home to visit. This location was recommended to us by a fellow beer snob back home in AZ and it is still one of our favorite beer stops and recommendations. Service is top tier. They always take care of us and make the best recommendations. Highly recommend this brewery. When weather permits it--sit outside and enjoy a cold brew!

    Nectar Necro - Pale Ale

Stumbled upon this brewery while walking around the packing house. Clean & sleek inside with a small amount of seating; there was more outside. It's perfect to sit outside in the breeze while enjoying a beer or inside in the AC. Staff inside were very nice & friendly. They provided recommendations on which beer to choose from & answered any questions I had. 10/10 - Nectar Necro: super refreshing pale ale; it wasn't too heavy & had a citrusy undertone. 8/10 - Doing Good: light lager that was also very refreshing; it did have a bit of a bite & bitterness which I didn't too much enjoy, but my wife did.

Only downside here is the parking situation during peak times, otherwise, this place is a true gem! Beautiful brewery with a large patio seating that offer sun and shade. The beertenders were super friendly and knowledgable and we tried a few of theirs ipas that were all really good. I loved the Joint Force Kobra which had a bit of fruity flavor and left a slight bitter aftertaste. Next time we are in Anaheim, we will be back for sure!

Ask the Community - Monkish Brewing

    Can you purchase a keg?

Yes you can you have to speak to a manager depends on the beer and if your local they don't ship kegs only beer cans

Do they do growler fills at this location?

Do u sell it bottled up or canned?

Monkish sells items both in cans (IPAs, Pils, some beligians, English mild, etc depending on what they decide on) and bottles (stouts and wild ales). Everything depends on what's available. They do list their offsite beer and merch on their website…

Do they serve food here? If not, can we bring our own food?

No they don't serve food, but you can bring your own food.

    Do they allow dogs?

    Yes, absolutely. I brought mine!

When will you have more beers to go?!?
