I came here last night and waited patiently at the bar to order like everyone else. It was busy but I was talking to the girl next to me who had arrived after me. We established that we would point out the other when one of the bartenders finally got to us. After 15 minutes, the bartender locked eyes with me so I gave a smile and wave to indicate I would like service. He waved back, fingers under the chin (à la Little Rascals) so I smiled and did it back. He then lifted up his shirt and showed his nipples, miming "show me your t***," while laughing about it with his coworker. I was there at the bar for 30 minutes when he got to us but he ignored us and took the orders of the group who literally just showed up. We had to wave and insist we had been waiting. He reluctantly took all our orders and repeated it back to us but only made the other party's drinks & went on to serve new customers, never even making ours. I came here to support a friend who was DJing but would not come back because of this experience . This is sexual harassment and he had zero remorse or professionalism. Don't waste your time or money. We left, without being served after nearly 40 minutes, even after ordering twice. read more

I've been to Callahan's Pub a few times. The place itself is pretty decent and the service is usually fine. The only thing that really throws off the vibe is that the staff sometimes seem pretty drunk while working, which can make the atmosphere feel a little off. Hopefully management tightens things up because it could honestly be a much better spot. Food is okay read more

I was extremely disappointed with the customer service provided by the bartender, an older woman with brown hair and brown eyes and extremely skinny with implants who wore skinny jeans/black bodysuit/platform pink looking shoes Very unprofessional & targeted behavior towards guests... We had a DJ which ultimately brought buisness to callahan's last night which we've done before and this bartender was extremely rude and inconsistent with her services on 5/29/26 I had been at this party for 2 hours previously showed identification & I am in fact 28 well above the legal age & she did not want to serve my sister 32 years of age for no apparent reason .... My sister had just arrived & she demanded I showed my ID again or my sister could not order .. we were confused because my sister showed her identification and her husband also showed identification who is 39 years of age & they were the only ones wanting a drink ..mind you I was not ordering any further drinks ... but she demanded I showed my ID again or else they could not order.. I was so confused and said I am not drinking and I already showed my ID earlier in the day...anyways I showed ID again and said okay now you see i'm above the legal age so our interaction is over can my family order.. and she responded "i'm not dealing with this" and walked away from us... the interaction was bizzare and unpleasant so I will re think coming back here with my husband and his music .. plus to even start my sister asked for a drink menu and she immediately was like "we don't serve food!" we were like ??? we did not ask for food..plus she appeared impaired so we likely will never be back unfortunately ... she had very bad attitude & it was my sisters birthday and all she wanted was 1 drink after being a mom for 2 years and finally having a babysitter for the night so sadly it was not a good experience and I'm sad for my sister mind you we are the most unproblematic people we just like to vibe and have lived in fullerton for 20+ years which is a close community so think twice before coming here because you might be served with an ugly uninvited attitude .. go to roscoes or heroes never had a problem there I'm going to tell my husband he should think of other places to DJ because this experience was very uncomfortable & I can't imagine interacting with this person again read more

I went in today, first time since it was Joe's. I wasn't sure how the place changed since the last time I went (quite some time ago). The bartender Yvette is 100% why I would go back!!! She was SOOO welcoming and had the best recommendations for drinks and food! AND she was the nicest, most attentive bartender I've had in a really long time! Service goes a long way and I will definitely be back literally because of her! A peek into Irish pub. This one is a bit personal. Gnasher, my puppy first mingle at the pub. And there's some peronal stuffs about this Irish pub. The town is very tiny and a lot of pubs around the corner. I usually end up here and it's remind me of Brooklyn dive bar. When I was young, I used to work in Dorian Gray Irish pub in East Village, NYC. Foods are ok and drinks are cheap. There's live music and grand piano as you see in the picture. I'll keep it by myself why this is more personal spot for me. Many bars around and I choose to be here. Packed in the weekend for sure. read more

Bartender harassed us and followed us. He accused us of not paying when we 100% did. We didn't finish our drinks because he was talking rudely with anger towards us instead of talking it out. We went to hero's afterwards and he chased us down and accused us of taking the drinks from Callahan to Hero's when the drinks we had there were ordered from there. We felt threatened. He didn't even check their system to see if we paid our tab or not. We had to walk far away to get away from this man it was scary that he felt the need to follow us. read more

This is now a Mexican bar that plays Banda on Friday. I found this place on instagram and it is advertised that the Banda starts at 9 pm. I went on a Friday and it was 11 pm and there was till no Banda playing. I asked the promoter and he said he was waiting to fill the table reservations. I did not wait and left. Many people that bought tables were also upset because it is advertised as a 9 pm start time even 10 pm is acceptable not 2 hours later. read more

I had a very bad experience here. I came to dance and eat, for the first time. Everytime I got up to dance my drinks or food were taken. This happened 3 times. The first two times they apologize and replaced my drink and corrected the food mistake. The last time I got up to buy a drink and when I went back to my table the last few bites of my food were gone. I told the server again and she called security,because she couldn't understand why I was upset. It's too bad because the music was great. My $16 drink was left at the table. Came into Joe's for the UFC fight and was very disappointed. I was with a group of 5, and we showed up early to get food and drinks way before the main fight. Two friends and I went up to the bar to order drinks and were greeted by "Joe" We are a group of 23 and 24 year olds so I understand if places need to ID us, but we have never felt so disrespected by someone, and to find out it's the owner really baffles me. He had asked us three for our ID's, and pulled out his phone to turn on flash and check each one for 5 minutes each, asked us all a question about our age, and then had the audacity to ask us if we all had a second form of ID. Finally, he realized that we were actually who we said we are and made us drinks. The next hour or so he kept staring at us and keeping an eye on us when we not only did nothing wrong, but are also very respectful and friendly. We finished our drinks and left. We ride there frequently with a big crew. It's been great up until yesterday. A male bar tender there is extremely rude to customers. Ignoring you , yet will cater to his friends immediately. I told him my friend was waiting patiently for about 10 minutes but when his friend walked up he asked her what she wants right away. His was upset o called him out. He said she was there. Then said I'm cut off. I wasn't even ordering had my drink outside with my husband. Lol this guy got me kicked out. For No reason other then calling him out on him having "favorites". Everyone said he was so rude to them. Don't know what happened to the regular nice bartenders there. But I know the owner loved us riding there. I told the bartender this. He said oh what's his name? As if I need to explain to him. He got my trown out. For no reason! He's prejudice against straight customers. Clearly treating his friends as priority and having a bad attitude with EVERYONE else. We left to the bar next store. This guy followed me there! Then got me thrown out there as well. He has serious issues. I do plan on speaking to a top manager. Didnt want to wait 45 mins+ to get a table at the usual popular big chain breakfast restaurants so i decided to try out Joe's. I was pleasantly surprised. Big venue with indoor and outdoor seating. The server was awesome. Super cool and friendly. Ordered the pozole and mimosa. It hit the spot after a jog at the Fullerton trails. Pozole was good. Had a nice spicey kick. This is probably my favorite bar in DTF. I came here last night with my girlfriend and a few friends to celebrate my birthday and we had great service. It's been a while since I've been here but they had good music playing. Our server, Jessica, was very attra..attentive and provided us with great customer service. We ordered the pizza bread and fries and they were delicious. 10/10 recommend. The people in the comments complaining about masks..look, it's quite simple, if you're scared of covid, don't leave your house and be miserable..or move to Australia where you can't leave your house because of the heavy "safety" regulations. read more

Exotic sausages, fried food, and beer. How can you go wrong with that combination? You may need a triple bypass afterward but your taste buds will be smiling. Seriously, I feel like I gained about 10 pounds after eating here. This place is fried food heaven. Practically everything is fried or can be fried. I can't remember if I saw any salads here, but if they did, it would've been fried as well. The exotic sausages are pretty damn good. They are similar to the ones at Wurstküche in LA, like rattlesnake & rabbit, alligator, and duck & bacon. I haven't been to Wurstküche in a while but it seems like this place has a bigger selection and better flavor. Joe's doesn't skimp on the fries either. With each sausage order you get shoestring fries or you can substitute with onion rings or sweet potato fries for a $1. Fries can easily be split among three people. I got sweet potato fries but they tasted a little burnt. I would stick with the shoestring fries next time or get onion rings instead. My friend's onion rings were absolute perfection. The batter was super crispy and the onion broke off nicely when I bit into them. I ordered Lido's goat cheese stuffed Italian sausage. The combination worked well and it came with grilled peppers, onions, garlic and a side of marinara sauce. I actually preferred it without the sauce because you can taste the meat better without it. Goat cheese wasn't overwhelming either. It was quite subtle but just enough to add depth to the Italian sausage. I also tried my friend's wild boar andouille sausage which was fantastic. It had a subtle gamey flavor but in a good way. It definitely didn't taste like your ordinary sausage. This was served with chipotle mustard, fresh cilantro, and diced tomatoes. For dessert, we shared fried PB&J, fried Snickers bars, and fried Fat Boy. The fried desserts are huge and can be shared with at least two or three people so don't go too crazy ordering everything on the menu. I was here with 6 other people so it wasn't too bad. Out of the three, fried PB&J seemed to be the favorite among the group. They have a decent beer selection but they didn't have my favorite so I just stuck with iced tea which came in a gigantic sized mug. I was surprised they didn't have a beer list. This is something they should work on. Also, do not drink the water. It tasted really weird, like chemicals. Our server was friendly and gave us some great suggestions on the menu. She was also nice enough to split the bill for us even though that's not something they do (according to the menu). I think she made an exception for us because it was pretty slow on a Wednesday night and we were the only ones in the dining area. Most of the customers were in the bar area which was also fairly empty. I will come back and try some more exotic sausages but I will have to wait another month so I can unclog my arteries. read more

The service was good, friendly, and efficient. Prices are reasonable and the portions were good. Really, just a little bit of an upscale and unique twist on the typical bar/pub, and worth going to. I was carded not once but three times without being served for 45 minutes in an empty bar and then the female bartender on 3/16 argued with me about wether or not a drink even existed. I've been to every bar in DTF and have NEVER been treated with such disrespect! I was passed through 3 bartenders before being served and the guy that served me was an A hole the entire time on top of that he didn't even make the drink right! I normally tip 65% (because I am a Bartender and like to make my fellow bartenders nights) and ended up not tipping at all!
