Went on a double date; our friend picked it since it was right next to the Brea Improv (which we went to a show afterwards). Never even heard of this place before but it was REALLY good, we really enjoyed it a lot. The cocktails were great as was all of the food we got. Started out with a soft baked pretzel. It was salty, buttery and tasty. I got the pulled pork sandwich which was delicious as were the shoe string fries. I got a side of ranch to dip them in and that was scrumptious (some places don't have good ranch, this place wasn't one of them). My husband got one of the specials that day; a steak that came with asparagus and risotto. He enjoyed it and said the steak was cooked perfectly. But let me make a suggestion: ask how much the special is because they don't tell you and you will have sticker shock when the bill comes because.... WHOA. It was (nearly) $70 dollars for that plate. I've been to reunion in Anaheim hills so I am familiar with the concept and their food and just like the Anaheim hills location, Brea hit the mark with flavorful food and great ambience! I enjoyed everything except for the Thai chicken noodle salad. I was hoping for an Asian flavor but the avocado threw me off. Also, the entire salad was julienned except for the big chunks of jicama. I also think the noodles is too thin and would have liked spaghetti noodles instead. One other thing that would have given this Review a better score would have been getting our Asian ribs brought out as an appetizer as we had ordered it. We went to Reunion Kitchen + Drink to celebrate Mother's Day for my wife and daughter. My wife and I arrived before the rest of our party and were seated promptly. The staff was very accommodating and made us feel welcome and important. We ordered drinks and appetizers while waiting for the rest of our group. The spinach dip was amazing! I ordered the Double Oklahoma Smashburger and wow, was it big and delicious! My wife had the Short Rib Stroganoff which she thoroughly enjoyed. My daughter and son both had the Slow Braised Short Ribs which were also very good. The final highlight was the Hot Fudge Cake that we all loved. This place is noisy but that's to be expected as it's a pretty big restaurant and apparently very popular. It has a kind of industrial vibe and has large windows that lets in lots of light. Typically I go to the one on santa ana canyon in anaheim hills. But this one was really nice as well, love with the open windows you get the fresh air. Our waitress was super sweet even though she had tons of tables she was very attentive. Food was phenomenal per usual. I didnt even venture out. Love that there is now a Reunion in Brea. It was one of my favorite places to dine when I used to live in Anaheim Hills, but this Brea location is so much more spacious. The entry door is right across from Old Brea Chophouse and the Improv. The food came out super quick and was very tasty as well. Servers were super attentive and on top of things which I greatly appreciated and the manager even came around to table touch as well which was nice. I've been here twice now, and both visits were great. The food and drinks are consistently solid. I had the ribeye cooked perfectly and paired it with Austin Hope, which complemented it really well. The appetizers have all been strong. Drinks are good too -- I tried the espresso martini; not sure if it's made with real coffee, but the flavor is definitely there. On another visit, I had the short rib stroganoff and loved it -- great value, rich flavor, and the bread it comes with pairs perfectly. Upon arrival, no one came to greet me for what seemed like 10 minutes, as the staff were too busy putting together a table for a large birthday party. I asked to move and they put us at a table up front with a lot more light. Our server didn't disappear for an extended period of time like we have seen before. I got the usual veggie burger, but this time it was different. Maybe it was the bun or the amount of toppings inside, but it was twice the size than I remember. My wife is gluten free and she got a lettuce wrap and it was enormous as well; mostly due to the stack of lettuce. I also got a lower-manhattan (old fashion) and it was pretty good as well. I met some high school friends here for brunch this past weekend! I'd been to another location years ago, and had forgotten how good this place is! I made a reservation for our party through Yelp. It was cool to have a mini high school reunion, at Reunion! There's several parking structures within walking distance of the restaurant. The main entrance is kind of tucked into an alcove and makes it look like you're going into the Improv. It wasn't busy when we arrived, but started to pick up as we were leaving. They had the football games on the televisions near the bar. Our server was Angie and she was great! She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. She also boxed up our leftovers for us at the end of our meal. For starters, I had to try a cup of their pozole rojo, only available on Sundays and it was wonderful! For the main, I decided to get the short rib Benedict which had the most tender short rib ever, on a buttermilk biscuit with perfectly poached eggs, chipotle hollandaise and crispy onions. They are fried with a crispy outer shell sprinkled with parmigiana cheese with a ranch dipping sauce. The Deviled eggs are towers of deliciousness that are topped with bacon bits and full of flavor. What we ordered: Chicken and Biscuits (shared): the biscuit was baked fresh to perfection, super fluffy and warm. Paired with a sausage gravy that was so delicious. The piece of chicken was a perfect size we both agreed it was super yummy. Chilaquiles Green (shared): a hint of spice, incredibly flavorful and they stayed crispy no sogginess here. Eggs over easy: came with both dishes mine were cooked perfectly. My friend's were overcooked which was a little odd but didn't ruin the vibe. California Omelet: packed with fillings and lots of avocado. It looked amazing and was enjoyed by the friend who ordered it. My only nitpick would be that the coffee drinks were as fun as the morning cocktails menu. A few coffee drink options would be a nice touch. We ordered just a regular cup of coffee. We made reservations to eat here for my grandpas 80th bday. The reservation was easy to make and the customer service over the phone was great, I had quite a few questions regarding the reservation and it never seemed like the one I spoke to on the phone was ever annoyed, I believe her name was Yahaira. When we came in our table was all set up and our table was split between two servers Wyatt and Paula I believe were their names. Their service was great and even at the end most our party left while some of us stayed behind and we never felt rushed and we actually ended up ordering one last round and they still were happy to help us and still let us get our bottomless mimosas. Which is 20$ for just champagne and $25 to include it with juice. I don't remember most the drinks names as it was the other people in my party ordering them. The crispy Asian ribs are a must! They were soo delicious, probably the favorite food item we ordered. I only was able to picture what those who sat around me ordered since we were such a large party. The deviled eggs were not the best, they tasted like potato salad from stater bros. The French onion soup was okay. The sliders were good, probably my second favorite item prob like a 3/5. The breakfast burrito was okay but the red salsa was good, it was spicy. All the drinks were good. There is two free parking structure near the restaurant. Funny enough, we did bring our little reunion to Reunion today. We came early so parking was easy, but keep in mind that parking could be tricky as this is a very popular area (the movie theater, improv, and just downtown brea itself patrons all need to park!) We ran in before a Concert to grab a bit to eat. We were going to go to Yard House, because we both had gift cards, but the bar was packed and there was a 45 minute wait for a table. So we ate at Reunion. I'm so glad that we did! We sat at the bar, because I live sitting at the bar. We got the calamari, the poke stack (now it's poke tacos) and some beers. My only complaints on the poke was that the avocado was diced too large, it made it awkward to eat and there wasn't enough fried chips to eat all of the tuna. They are located in the downtown area with a convenient public lot behind the restaurant and parking garages a block away. The area is nice to walk around at afterwards if you are looking to hang out. I came here for a business meeting because I know their food is delicious with a lot of variety to choose from for all appetizes and dietary restrictions. They have 2 entrances, but the hostess bar is only on one side of the restaurant. The windows were nice and open and they weather was nice so we decided to sit at a large booth by the windows. Oh and just to note, the restrooms are located outside of the restaurant. My colleague had the Blackened Halibut Sandwich ($29.95) with tater tots and I had the Chicken Pot Pie ($21.95). My colleague really enjoyed his sandwcih and tots. I really liked my pot pie as well. It was super creamy and rich and I appreciate that it was served with a side of vegetables as well. Yum. We also shared a Warm Butter Cake ($12.95) and asked for the ice cream on the side since my colleague is lactos, but it came with the ice cream on top.
