French Pear

Went on a double date; our friend picked it since it was right next to the Brea Improv (which we went to a show afterwards). Never even heard of this place before but it was REALLY good, we really enjoyed it a lot. The cocktails were great as was all of the food we got. Started out with a soft baked pretzel. It was salty, buttery and tasty. I got the pulled pork sandwich which was delicious as were the shoe string fries. I got a side of ranch to dip them in and that was scrumptious (some places don't have good ranch, this place wasn't one of them). My husband got one of the specials that day; a steak that came with asparagus and risotto. He enjoyed it and said the steak was cooked perfectly. But let me make a suggestion: ask how much the special is because they don't tell you and you will have sticker shock when the bill comes because.... WHOA. It was (nearly) $70 dollars for that plate. SEVENTY DOLLARS. What?! Our friends got brisket sliders, fries and wings. They liked all of it. We also tried their wings, which were good.

I've been to reunion in Anaheim hills so I am familiar with the concept and their food and just like the Anaheim hills location, Brea hit the mark with flavorful food and great ambience! I enjoyed everything except for the Thai chicken noodle salad. I was hoping for an Asian flavor but the avocado threw me off. Also, the entire salad was julienned except for the big chunks of jicama. I also think the noodles is too thin and would have liked spaghetti noodles instead. One other thing that would have given this Review a better score would have been getting our Asian ribs brought out as an appetizer as we had ordered it. It came out after our meals so we didn't get to enjoy them as much and had to pack them to go. Would come back to try other items as there's so many great choices on the menu!

Mai tai! So delicious

Came here on a busy friday night thankfully someone in my group had made the wise decision to call ahead to make a reservation! We were seated promptly! Loved the vibe inside a nice modern interior with clean appearance. We orders drinks, the mai tai was amazing definitely a strong drink and we tried a few of the appetizers and the ribs were a favorite. I loved that they gave warm hand towels to help clean your hands. I orderedthe fish and chips which were good but the fries were kind of cold when they were served. Otherwise everything else was good!

Ok this place has great food quality Service 5/5 My dish was 4/5 today Ambiance 4.5/5 Impressed! Will come back! My service was 5/5 because u consume my waters very quickly, she was able to keep up without me asking for refills you 100% did great! My dish came out piping hot. Wow it was good! Almost little too much broth. Overall 4/5! Adding a Cesar salad for $8 is kind of steep but you know, it was GOOD, even the croutons were good, like smoked or wood toasted. Glad I tried. It was super hard to pick an item from the menu, there were too many good items! But will come back

This place is good for date night or a celebration. It's a restaurant with classy bar vibes. The theme / atmosphere is dim lit / fancy dinner. The service here was great and the waiters are attentive. They are not spread out thin like other restaurants. The food here is delicious. I would recommend the rosemary fried chicken. It is a bit on the pricier end, but that is standard for this type of restaurant/ style of dining. I would be coming here again.

We love the restaurant in Anaheim Hills and just found this one here in Brea. Brought my wife in for her birthday lunch and all the food was perfect cooked and they don't skimp. Its very quiet and relaxing inside with TVs going so we got to watch a Dodger game. The overhead music was 70's and relaxing on the ears. Service was great.

Love that there is now a Reunion in Brea. It was one of my favorite places to dine when I used to live in Anaheim Hills, but this Brea location is so much more spacious. The entry door is right across from Old Brea Chophouse and the Improv. The food came out super quick and was very tasty as well. Servers were super attentive and on top of things which I greatly appreciated and the manager even came around to table touch as well which was nice. It was very busy inside on a Friday night so if you're planning a visit, make sure to make a reservation in advance so you don't have to wait.

The food is great and so is the service. Ordered the happy hour sampler appetizer dish. The beet salad with blackened chicken and the artichoke and the butter cake. Took food home as well, portions are large! What a nice date night

I've been to the one in Corona and this one. I prefer the location of the other one but this one definitely hits the spot. Great food. Excellent cocktails. Fantastic service. Everything I've tried has been amazing. And do yourself a favor and pack up half your meal and leave room for dessert. It's worth it. 10/10 experience

Honestly i'm so impressed! We came here last minute and canceled our other reservation because I had heard amazing things about this place. First of all our server Cherish was WONDERFUL! She made us feel super comfortable which is always a plus. The restaurant itself was small but still super roomy. It was a darker vibe which gave nice jazz bar vibes. The food was really good especially my boyfriends prime flat iron steak. We added Mac n cheese as a side (it was an additional cost) but worth it. Overall worth it and will come back!

OMG!!!! This place is soo good! I had the pleasure of trying this this past Thursday and it was amazing. My mom and sister had told me how good this place was and how is a nice fight and they were totally correct. Everything is five stars all around for me. The food is outstanding. I ordered the barbecue Cobb salad and it was wonderful and I had the pleasure of trying a piece of my mom's Short rib and mashed potatoes and our server Let me try the potato leek soup, which was so fresh, hot and delicious. For my drink I had the pomegranate martini and it wasn't not sweet at all! It was very tasty ! The vibe was wonderful !!! It's a little dark but nice atmosphere!! The customer service was exceptional !!! 5/5 our server was so cool and easy going and very attentive!! -Marshay D.

I've been here twice now, and both visits were great. The food and drinks are consistently solid. I had the ribeye cooked perfectly and paired it with Austin Hope, which complemented it really well. The appetizers have all been strong. Drinks are good too -- I tried the espresso martini; not sure if it's made with real coffee, but the flavor is definitely there. On another visit, I had the short rib stroganoff and loved it -- great value, rich flavor, and the bread it comes with pairs perfectly. Not the best place to watch a game; they do have TVs, but the focus is clearly on the food. Highly recommend the mini charcuterie during happy hour.

The FOOD: 4.5/5 | Drinks: 5/5 Off the appetizers, we had the pork belly bites and dirty fries! First dish came with a long hot pepper, several mini tortillas, and 2 dipping sauces. The pork was crunchy on the outside and soft+succulent on the inside. I can see myself doubling up on this appetizer the next time I come. Dirty fries were great; it came with a generous amount of pickled onions - providing a really nice contrast to the savoriness of our meal. Our waiter graciously accommodated our request to have the egg on the side. Off the entrée/taco menu, my friend ordered the Korean tacos and I got the Ensenada (fish) tacos. But you can also order the Ensenada tacos with shrimp. These were delicious, I would have loved a little more lime crema to go with the fish - but not a big deal. I got a Watermelon Margarita. I wasn't expecting it to be HUGE, but it was the perfect amount considering how much food we as a pair ordered. My friend ordered the La Toxica table side cocktail and one additional mango cocktail. Table side cocktail was a whole show and my friend really enjoyed it. We had a great lunch at Tempo Cantina. I can't wait to try more of their bar menu, maybe even at night when the restaurant is lively

We didn't think we would get seated fast because the parking lot was pretty full. But we got lucky and were seated right away. Service is pretty good , they have a lot of people working here. The place is really big and has a lot of seating. It was quite busy. I ordered a Spanish omelette and my son ordered the blueberry pancakes. My omelette was ok, it had way too much peppers and I didn't see the cheese , it comes with a side so I went with country potato with onions and bell peppers. I only wish that it included some kind of toast. My son's pancakes were ok, they are only topped with blueberries we thought the blueberries were going to be inside the batter or inside the pancake. He had to add a lot of syrup to make them soft. The one thing I will say is that the house coffee is very good. It's Lavazza coffee which is really good. I wouldn't mind coming back and trying some other options or coming back for lunch or happy hour.

After looking over the many options on the menu I opted to order a special I spotted on that board: raspberry & lemon curd french toast! While awaiting my meal I ordered a cup of regular ol' black coffee. Believe me when I say that cup of coffee was a fantastic one; they have superb coffee here. My french toast was amazing. Thick-cut & fried brioche bread with a magnificent exterior crunch yet soft inside, served with lemon curd and raspberry puree along with a dollop of homemade whipped cream. Definitely award-winning french toast. My friend, a vegetarian, ordered a different french toast and was envious of mine. Hers was a bit mushy and came with a side of bacon and sausage which she promptly handed over to me. The sausage was very flavorful and the bacon was meaty, simultaneously crisp and chewy, and very much appreciated by me. I loved my meal and was disappointed my dining partner had a less stellar experience. I guess it all depends on what you order.

For some reason the refinery spend their 40 minutes cooking the hell out of my burger, and they could even put the tooth pick in the middle of my burger, like is it that hard to stab my burger in the middle. I honestly don't know how The Refinery inside the Hilton in Brea manages to stay open. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. First off, the place looks nice when you walk in, but that's where the positives end. The service was painfully slow -- not the "busy restaurant" kind of slow, but the "did anyone remember we're here?" kind. We waited forever just to get water, and it somehow took even longer for the food. Then the food actually showed up... and wow. Bland, overpriced, and somehow still cold. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. For a restaurant attached to a Hilton, I expected at least basic quality, but this felt like cafeteria food with steakhouse prices. To make things worse, the staff acted like helping customers was a huge inconvenience. No check-ins, no refills, no effort. Just vibes of "please eat and leave." Between the slow service, disappointing food, and ridiculous prices, this place feels like a tourist trap hiding in a hotel lobby. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else in Brea. Even a gas station snack run would be a better experience.
