They seated our family of four right away and the place is very spacious, modern and clean. The waiter came right away and offered us the drink options, as well as informed us of the best-seller meals. We had kids' meal, which is pretty great portions and the cali roll is amazing. They used real crab, and everything is so fresh and delightful. The crab cake looks small, however it's pretty filling and it's bigger than it looks. I got the scallop (new menu item) with Okinawan purple sweet potatoes and my fiancé got his usual miso black cod. The seafood and sweet potatoes were, per usual, DELICIOUS. Great experience here! We made reservations for the wrong date by accident and they still honored it, such nice folks! Our server was really nice too. Food was good IMO but some might find it a bit pricey. Nice ambiance both inside and out, bathroom clean. Parking can be a bit challenging tho, so look out for that. Ordered the Hawaiian Kanpachi Krudo for appetizers, 3/5 and Grilled Salmon Chowder 5/5. Main dish was Summer Sea Bass 4/5 and Lobster Roll 4/5 it was delicious but a bit skimpy IMO. My wife and I originally had a confirmed reservation for Din Tai Fung located next door, but due to a power outage, our reservation was cancelled 15 minutes prior. Luckily, our Anniversary Dinner celebration was saved by Pacific Catch! We walked up to the hostess desk and immediately seated in the dining area that is dimly lit. That was fine for us as it was hotter than Hades that Saturday afternoon and we were not feeling like sitting out in their patio are that was shaded. Our server, Kailey, quickly arrived at our table and took our drink and appetizer order: wife: Blood Orange Margarita ($15), me: Golden State Spritz ($15) and Housemade Crab Cakes ($18). Kailey brought our drinks and ice water and within a few minutes, our crab cakes arrived. My wife really like her Blood Orange Margarita, and my Spritz, was very light and refreshing, perfect for hot weather sipping. The crab cakes were really good!! The were presented on a bed of salad green tossed in a light vinaigrette with both complimenting each other when eaten together. After finishing our crab cakes, Kailey still did not take our entree orders. I think what was happening was the restaurant was unprepared, staffing wise, for a sudden influx of a pre-dinner time rush (1530 hours) of folks whose DTF reservations were all suddenly cancelled. Yet, the staff and management seemed to recover quite quickly and efficiently. After Kailey took our entree orders which comes with two selected sides: Wife-Barrimundi Sea Bass ($29) w/Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes and me-Kona Karpachi ($36) w/Green String Beans and Mashed Potatoes. Pre-Tip Subtotal: $113.00 Out two entrees arrived shortly. Both looked very appealing and appetizing. We dug in. My wife enjoyed her fish entree. It was moist and properly cooked and not dried out. She enjoyed her asparagus but really liked the mashed potatoes. I tried my fish which was also cooked properly, moist and flaky but not dried out like fish jerky. I also loved those creamy cheesy mashed potatoes. The green string beans, on the other hand, was disgusting. It was obvious the green beans were pre-cooked (boiled, steamed, blanched or however), then maybe pan flash fired to order, to the point they were absolutely mushy and limp on the plate and had a nasty, mushy mouth feel. The sesame sauce they placed on top made it the veggies that much worse. It made the beans really unpleasant to eat. My wife & I really liked the creamy mashed potatoes. We both they offered a bigger serving of it rather than what looks like a sized side dish made by an airline catering company. We skipped dessert since both entrees filled us up. My boyfriend and I had a dinner date at Pacific Catch on a Friday evening. We hadn't booked a reservation prior to going, so our wait time was around 45-50 minutes. Thankfully, this location is at the Brea Mall, so we did some window shopping and browsing in the meantime. It was surprisingly spacious; there's a whole outdoor section that isn't immediately visible when you enter the restaurant from the front. For drinks, I ordered the Guava-Rita, and my boyfriend got the Tiki Old-Fashioned. I thought my cocktail was so good-it tasted like juice, HAHA. We went a little ham with food and ordered a salmon chowder cup and ceviche mixto to share in addition to our taco platter mains. We both got seared sea bass and crispy cod for the protein and garlic lime fries on the side, per our server's recommendation. The portions here are incredibly generous. We were expecting the starters to be itty bitty, but they were sizeable plates. The salmon chowder was deliciously creamy and paired well with a squeeze of lemon. They didn't skimp on the salmon chunks either! The ceviche was refreshing on its own but was so addicting on top of a tortilla chip. The combination of cooked shrimp, fish, and avocado made for a whirlwind of delicious textures in each bite. When the entrees came in, I was in complete shock. The fish was literally spilling out of the taco shell, and there was a mountain of fries on the side! My personal favorite was the Baja style cod since it was so crispy and paired well with the pico de gallo underneath. However, my boyfriend loved the pineapple salsa with the seared sea bass. The fries were so savory and went great with the elote-inspired dip that it came with. Our server was awesome with getting our order in a timely manner and suggesting wonderful options/alternatives. I've been to the Tustin location and the food is pretty good. This time around was our first time at this location. We came after a workout at Lifetime so got there earlier in the day to park but parking can definitely be a little tough as it's located right by the mall and the new outdoor stores. It's located close to a parking structure though which helps. We came around 1 pm on a Saturday and were seated within 5 minutes on the patio. The day was beautiful and the patio had a nice a breeze. I felt the service was lacking a bit. We had to ask for our server to bring water, and when we ordered our drinks they came out at different times, with the drink ordered later coming first. She did seem to disappear at times for long stretches but could be due to the large party near us. I did appreciate her honesty when we asked about a new menu item we were considering ordering. The watermelon mule was my favorite drink, but the virgin Margy and mango mezcalita were good too. The food was pretty good per usual. I really enjoyed the ceviche and crab cakes. They were very flavorful and I loved the arugula under the crab cakes. For entrees we ordered the barramundi sea bass and the Kona Konpachu. The fish was pretty tasty and not too fishy. The Brussels sprouts were so good I kept wanting to eat them even though I was stuffed. Cooked perfectly and so much flavor. Pacific catch is starting to become a comfort spot for my fiancé and I! At first when this restaurant first opened at the outside area of Brea Mall in mid 2026, we thought the menu looked healthy and delicious. This couldn't be more true when we first had it! We got items from the grill -- miso black cod and scallop-- and instantly fell in love. Also the Okinawa purple sweet potato is to DIE for. It is probably one of the best sweet potato dishes I've had. The restaurant sits right outside the new area in Brea Mall and has such a beautiful interior. My mom sugar was low and they gave her some orange juice as we waited. They even checked on her as we sat down. Our server Key was amazing as well. If you're looking for a spot with cute coastal aesthetics, this is definitely the place. The decor and overall ambiance definitely nailed that breezy, seaside-vacation vibe. The restaurant was a bit smaller than I anticipated, but it had a cozy and stylish feel. The actual food itself however felt very standard. I had the Ahi Poke ($14) and Sweet Potato Fries ($8) and found both the fries and poke to be average at best. The poke quality didn't seem as fresh as I'd expect from a dedicated seafood spot, and I personally found the wakame cucumber salad mix underneath to be a bit odd. I wasn't a huge fan of the strips of cucumber tossed in with the wakame salad as I felt it took away from the distinct taste of the seaweed salad. Service was standard. Our server was attentive enough, though the restaurant was decently busy so things moved at a regular pace. That being said, their "Aloha Hour" menu looks like a great way to try multiple dishes for a fraction of the price so I would definitely come back to give that a try, as well as check out their cute outdoor patio. We made reservations for a pretty large group, and to make things a little more complicated, several people in our party were running late because parking was a struggle. Daniel, our waiter, was incredibly patient and understanding from start to finish. He never rushed us, even with our large group and all the different requests we had. What really stood out was how well he kept track of everything. With a big party, multiple orders, drinks, and special requests, he somehow remembered everything and made sure everyone was taken care of. His service genuinely made the whole experience more relaxed and enjoyable for our entire group. The food was good, the drinks were good, but honestly, Daniel was the highlight of our visit. We have visited this great seafood restaurant in Tustin a while ago. So glad this Brea location is much closer to us. Place is very spacious and the patio area is lovely on a nice sunny day. The menus were big and a decent gluten free menu too. We decided on crab cakes and sea salt edamame for appetizers. Three tacos and warm lobster roll as entrees. It's a seafood restaurant but it pulls inspiration from a variety of places such as Hawaii, Mexico, and other Asian countries. They also have a variety of Hawaiian inspired cocktails, so much so that if you wear an aloha shirt on Fridays you get a mai tai for $6. There was patio, indoor, and bar seating. It's an open air restaurant but I found that the further in the restaurant you went the darker it was; there were no windows or natural lighting inside. I came during their aloha hour which was 3-6pm on weekdays and 3-5pm on weekends at the patio and bar. The spicy tuna rolls ($5) were just okay; they were more spicy from the jalapeño than the tuna itself which I don't think had any spice at all. The ceviche mixto ($10) was surprisingly liquidy and not what I expected. It was tart but I would've preferred less liquid. The glazed ribs ($10) had good flavor but some parts of the ribs were more tender than others. Some were a bit more dry and tough. For drinks the mai tai ($9) was good but on the slightly sweeter side. On the other hand, the hurricane ($15) was more spirit forward and tart, and I tasted more of the lime. I've been hearing great things about Pacific Catch so my foodie friend and I came to check them out for ourselves. Pacific Catch is one of the new restaurants that are now open in the re-invented Nordstrom/(former) Sears parking lot. Since there's currently still a lot of construction going on in this area, up close parking is limited, but there is a parking structure nearby. The restaurant is very spacious and beautifully decorated and laid out. Much of the menu is sea food and Asian fusion inspired, which is reflected in the decor, setting a great island vibe as soon as you walk through the door. All the staff that we interacted with was very friendly and welcoming. Our server, Lauren, was great ~ she was knowledgeable about the menu and checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything. My friend has been on a quest to find a delicious lobster roll, so that's what she chose right away. I'd seen another Yelper's photos and review for the salmon chowder, so I also already knew what I was ordering. Both dishes were AMAZING!! The lobster roll was warm and proportionately filled in a row of Hawaiian rolls and came with clarified butter. My friend thoroughly enjoyed it! She was very kind to share some with me and I concur, it was delicious! My bowl of salmon chowder was also delicious! The chowder base was creamy yet not too heavy and the salmon is grilled separately and then added to the base. SO GOOD!! Something I'd definitely recommend and order again. Thank you to Alma R for her tip about this! We were gonna skip dessert, but when Lauren presented the dessert menu to us, we couldn't resist, so we added the Crispy Dulce de Leche "Spring Roll". Perfect to share, the fried "spring roll" has a cheesecake filling and is served with a scoop of banana dulce de leche gelato, all of which is drizzled with caramel sauce. All the textures and flavors worked together wonderfully and resulted in a very delightful way to finish our lunch. A big plus in my book! The staff was really nice and also mentioned to us that they had tofu, which was great to hear! My family and I really enjoyed the food here, it was super fresh and tasted delicious! We went during happy hour and sat on the patio but it wasn't too hot at all and they can also put the shade down to block the sun. The ambiance was really nice, with dim lighting throughout and small table lights that made it easy to read the menu. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. One of our orders came out wrong, but she immediately took care of it and sent it back. The food was just okay for me. I ordered the salmon with green beans. The salmon and salad were good, but the green beans were cold and had more sauce than I personally prefer. Since this was my first time at Pacific Catch, I'd like to give it another try. My friend's bowl looked much better than my dish, and she seemed very happy with hers. Hopefully my next visit will be a better experience! read more

I'm so happy to see that they're finally opened in Brea! They've only been there about a month but I can tell it's going to be super super popular! We started with a cup of their Salmon Chowder... OMG, what a delicious treat!! Why hasn't anyone else done this before?! I can tell this is going to be my staple when dining there. We also started with their famous Guaca-Poke and it's as delicious as it sounds! We went during happy hour so the starters were a couple of bucks cheaper so that was cool. I also had an Agave Margarita and it was really good. For our entrees my hubby got the Shrimp Al Pastor and he was in heaven! It came with the most scrumptious Mexican style zucchini and cilantro lime brown rice. I had their Rainbow Chirashi and it was big enough to share. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I loved that it came with a scoop of REAL crab salad. Everything about it was to die for! The ambiance was super cute! We sat on the patio and it has a cool fireplace setting where you can sit around it and a cool couch nearby. Get this, all the patio tables came with their own individual heat lamps made by Focal Heating that you can control with your phone! I came here twice, once for happy hour, and once for dinner. Happy hour was great. I loved the shrimp tacos. Drinks are well-made. Dinner was okay. My boyfriend said the steak wasn't that good, but partially our fault for ordering steak at a seafood place. I didn't finish and wouldn't go back in the evening. It's a nice place that looks casual if that makes sense, so it wasn't my favorite setting for date night either. Service was good. read more

Absolutely loved my experience at Pacific Catch!! Glad they are close by in Brea for me to go to again and again. Beautiful coastal vibes with open airspace, nice outdoor seating, fresh seafood, and friendly service. Makes you feel like you're sitting in some tropical island restaurant. The ceviche was absolutely delicious! Would have over and over. Ahi poke was spicy enough. For the main entrée, we had the the Panko crusted seabass with purple potato mash and mango salad, tasty and light. Brussels sprouts was perfectly crispy and sweet potato fries are always a good choice. For the cocktails, I had the shark fin cocktail. Must try! My friend & I met up for lunch here today. It was both of our first time here & we left the place satisfied with our meal. I had the Citrus pepita salad with shrimp & the greens in that salad were fresh along with everything else included in it blended well together. The seasoning on the shrimp was delicious & I like that they give you ample amount of shrimp which I appreciated bc it's pretty pricey here. I honestly didn't try the dressing on the side bc the dish itself had good flavor. I would definitely order this again whenever I'm in there mood for a salad. My friend tried the Ahi poke bowl & she enjoyed it. The ambiance was nice & modern. We sat outside in the patio. Our server was friendly & attentive. Their menu had many great options to choose from. Newly opened and all I can say is yum! I've tried the Tustin location and wasn't impressed, however this Brea location is fantastic! Greeters and servers were all fabulous, everyone we interacted with provided great customer service. Our server Alexis was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the original ahi poke which was absolutely delicious, and a huge portion, I couldn't finish my bowl. Inside and on the patio the decor is very nice yet casual, giving tropical vibes. They have happy hour on the weekends from 3-5 which is pretty cool, and would probably come back for it next time, we skipped it today as we weren't really wanting to drink anything. Parking is easiest at the structure nearby, although be forewarned, it's very crowded, even at 3 pm or so we had to circle around a bit. There is also paid valet service. read more
