I'd never been to an Urban Plates before. But I will definitely come back! Went here for a team event and had the Grilled Steak Chimmichurri. Oh my! It was good. I also enjoyed my sides of beets and goat cheese and a house salad. I wish they had some fresh juices, but other than that I'm very happy with the food and service here.

So delicious and fresh! We ordered the Caesar wrap and the Urban Superfood salad. If you're looking for fresh, healthy foods this is it! Everything was amazing and the portions were big. There was lots of seating and you can order at the register or directly on the table using the QR code. Shout out to Francisco for the great customer service. Overall, 10/10 I'll get the Caesar wrap again!

Love love love Urban Plates. So simple yet DELICIOUS. My boyfriend and I come every once in a while and it hits every single time. We always ordered the truffle fries with truffle aioli -- SO flavorful every time. I ordered the blackened salmon with cauliflower and garlic mushrooms. My boyfie ordered the steak with truffle fries and roasted Brussels sprouts. We never feel guilty eating here since it's somewhat healthy :) We will be back soon!

I love UP, even though it had been ages since I'd eaten here. Today I ordered some food to go. I usually order everything online, but decided to actually order at the restaurant this time. Ordering was quick and easy at the counter, and I waited about 5 min for my order. Inside it's very spacious, and there is plenty of seating in the patio area as well. Parking is easy to find, if you drive around to the front of the restaurant there is plenty of it. I ordered the grass fed beef steak, with the beet and goat cheese salad, and brussel sprouts. Absolutely delicious and top quality ingredients.

food: salmon with asparagus and Brussel sprouts with truffle aioli. 6/10 meal. salmon was salmon, nothing special. the Brussel sprouts were flavorful. truffle aioli was more like butter with truffle. felt heavy. the price for this plate being around $23-25 is not worth it. the salmon was so small. service: nice service ambiance: rustic urban feel. inside and outdoor seating.

VERY TINY 4oz piece of OVERCOOKED & CRUNCHY salmon. Huge portion of both veggies!

LOCATION (3/5): If you haven't been here before the front door is hard to fine. It's on the VERY BACK SIDE of the plaza, furthest away from everything. Park on that side, or you'll just end up walking around. PARKING (4/5): This plaza does get busy because of the Whole Foods, BUT... this restaurant is on the far side so you'll usually always find parking. SERVICE (5/5): This is an order at the register and seat yourself place. You'll get a number and they'll bring out your food in record time (since I believe everything is pre-made)! They also buss your table insanely quick. Keep it up! FOOD (4/5): $22 STEAK W/ CHIMICHURRI: I don't come here often, but I do like their steak with Chimichurri sauce! I tried it with the Mac & Cheese & and side salad. The sides are a good portion! OVERALL (4/5): If I want a super quick bite to eat and a healthy option I'll swing by here!

Came during lunch time at 11:30, which should be prime time for good food. There were two of us. Both ordered steak plate (one with mash potatoes and Brussels, the other with mash and Mac and cheese). We also ordered a side of fries. The sides. We're stone cold. The mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese both were very cold upon arrival. The brussel sprouts had been cooked to the point of being slimy, and were also cold. The fries were great. Glad I ordered something edible The steak was almost raw for about half of the pieces. And of course.. cold

We had a great lunch celebrating my cousin Tracy's birthday at Urban Plates. They have a new edition to the menu, Osso Bucco with mashed potatoes, sauce and toast point. I ordered Harissa Cauliflower as a veggie side dish. I really enjoy the menu and portions at Urban Plates as opposed to some competitors. The portions and food options go beyond sandwiches, salads and soup. Many people enjoy the side dishes so much that they order 3 or 4 side dishes as a main meal. The lemonade is not overly sweet as well, and tastes like real lemon juice. I feel like the offerings are organic and healthier options. We enjoyed our meals without guilt. The food is moderately priced, they have ample seating and a parking lot shared with other businesses in the center. The staff are friendly, accommodating and helpful.

Love this location. The staff is so friendly! Francisco took excellent care of us. He took time to greet us and talk w us. I truly appreciate that kind of service!

The place looks delicious!!! But aren't looks also deceiving? I didn't eat the steak! I survived it ! Unchewable! Hummus was good and the pita bread fantastic but that's it. The desserts looked so promising specially their famous Hummingbird cake which I tried! Delicious! Very similar than carrot cake from Porto's not better but close. The bad thing? The expiration day! How come? They gave me a cake that expired the same day. The audacity. Very disappointing Service alright.

Food was high quality, service from Jay was even better. My gf has a gluten allergy and he was very attentive to her needs, ensuring the kitchen took extra care to work around her allergies 10/10. Thank you Jay, it really made the ambiance and comfort exceed all expectations. Definitely deserves special recognition.

They also offer a beautiful dinner menu Thursday through Saturday, plus a full bar, which makes it a great place for both casual meals and date nights. My only gripe is that they're not open for dinner on Tuesdays and Wednesdays because I'd definitely be there more often. If you haven't tried Our Nest yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. Horrible experience and extremely poor customer service…read more On Father's Day, my husband wanted to try this restaurant for the first time. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences we've had. We were seated on the patio and waited for 15 minutes without a single employee approaching our table. Not one server, host, or staff member stopped by to acknowledge us, offer water, or even let us know someone would be with us shortly. We actually timed it from the moment we sat down until the moment we left. What made the situation even more frustrating was that we were seated in the middle of the patio in plain sight. We watched multiple servers and staff members standing around the service station, chatting, sipping drinks, and looking around. Meanwhile, guests who were seated after us had their orders taken, received water, and were even served appetizers before anyone acknowledged our existence. For a restaurant charging premium prices, this level of service is completely unacceptable. On Father's Day of all days, when families are trying to enjoy a special meal together, the lack of attention and basic hospitality was astonishing. After 15 minutes, with my husband and son both hungry and frustrated, I walked up to what appeared to be the manager or owner and informed her that we were leaving because no one had come to our table. Her response was that she "wasn't aware." Frankly, that's not an acceptable answer. If you're managing or owning a restaurant, knowing whether your guests are being taken care of is part of the job. I have traveled extensively throughout the United States and internationally, dining at everything from small local establishments to high-end restaurants around the world. Out of the countless places I have visited, this experience easily ranks among my top 20 worst restaurant experiences. Not because the food was bad--we never even had the opportunity to order--but because the complete lack of service and awareness was that shocking. To make matters worse, after leaving, we went to North Italia. Within a few minutes of being seated, a server greeted us, acknowledged the Father's Day rush, offered us bread, and genuinely seemed concerned when we explained what had just happened. That simple act of hospitality immediately changed the tone of our afternoon. That is how a restaurant should be operated. That is what good management, training, and customer service look like. You make guests feel welcome, valued, and taken care of--even on one of the busiest dining days of the year. This restaurant, unfortunately, did the exact opposite. We left disappointed, hungry, and genuinely stunned by how poorly the situation was handled. Will we return? Absolutely not. There are far too many restaurants that appreciate their customers and understand the basics of hospitality for us to ever give this place another chance.

Down the Rabbit Hole at STORY -- Anaheim Hills…read more If you've ever wanted to fall straight into Wonderland, STORY in Anaheim Hills is your rabbit hole. From the moment I walked in, I was enchanted -- plush tufted velvet booths in dreamy blues, cascading candlestick chandeliers, walls lined with vintage books, and the most whimsical tablescapes I've ever seen. A teapot-and-teacup candelabra dripping with flowers and pocket watches greeted us like something straight off the Mad Hatter's table. Curiosity encouraged, reality optional, indeed. Half the fun was the crowd -- patrons in their finest hats and full Wonderland regalia, everyone leaning into the magic. The black-and-white spiral placemats and mismatched rose-painted china made every corner Instagram gold. We did the **Mad Hatter's Tea ($40 per guest)**, and it delivered both on theme and on flavor. The presentation arrives on a gleaming gold three-tiered stand, and there's a delightful Asian-fusion twist woven through the classic high-tea lineup: - **Goat & feta cheese pinwheels** -- pink whipped goat cheese with roasted beet purée, Genoa salami, and arugula in a spinach tortilla, finished with balsamic and honey drizzle. As pretty as they were tasty. - **Tea sandwiches** -- delicate chicken salad, egg salad, ham & dijon, and cucumber & cream cheese. - **Mozzarella, cantaloupe & prosciutto skewers** -- fresh and light. - **Freshly baked scones, danishes, and buttermilk biscuits** with whipped honey butter and strawberry jam -- warm, flaky, and exactly what high tea should be. - A sizzling **garlic shrimp skillet** with charred lemon and toasted bread that we added on -- savory and satisfying. And the theatrical touches! Each guest gets a **Tea Forté** selection (the Green Mango Peach and White Ginger Pear were lovely), a glass of sparkling wine, and a darling little **"Drink Me" potion bottle** to share -- a perfect Wonderland flourish. STORY is more than a meal; it's an experience. Whether you're celebrating, planning a girls' day, or just want to escape into something beautiful, put on your favorite hat and come play. We'll absolutely be back.

I live in Riverside and consider myself a true foodie. When I want to celebrate something special, I don't buy a purse--I treat myself to an exceptional dining experience. Usually, that means driving all the way to Los Angeles or even Las Vegas, so I was thrilled to discover this restaurant much closer to home. I originally found the restaurant on TikTok. The food looked amazing, but I was still a little skeptical that it could live up to the hype. I'm happy to say it exceeded every expectation. This was genuinely one of the best dining experiences I've had in Southern California. I came for a girls' night out, and everything was flawless from start to finish. The wine pairing was perfect, and even the complimentary bread and truffle butter that arrived at the table were unforgettable. We started with the escargot and the hamachi crisp--both beautifully presented and bursting with balanced, sophisticated flavors. For our entrées, I ordered the uni pasta, while my friends chose the scallops and the sea bass. We all shared bites of each dish, and every plate was outstanding. The quality of the ingredients, execution, and attention to detail were evident in every course. What truly elevated the evening was the hospitality. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we ended up being the last guests in the restaurant, spending time talking with both the staff and the owner, Andrew. His passion for his vision, commitment to quality, and dedication to creating a memorable dining experience were inspiring. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. I will absolutely be returning often. Without question, this ranks among the very best meals I have had in Southern California. Here's a polished and more refined version of your review: Incredible! I would give both the service and the food a 10/10. The ambiance and overall atmosphere were elegant, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated. SHORT VERSION: Overall had a great date night dinner for 2…read moreexperience at this French Asian fusion restaurant. The ingredients, textures, and flavors were all paired very nicely in each dish we tried. The presentation of every dish we had was immaculate and really elevated the experience (see pics/videos). LONG VERSION: We started with a few slices of French bread that came out fresh from the oven - it had an amazing crust on the outside and was unbelievably melty warm and soft on the inside. I kept asking for more pieces and wish I could have just ordered an entire loaf of it if I'm honest! The presentation of the Hamachi crudo salad was like a piece of art - the dish matched the presentation and the yuzu flavor was unique and refreshing. The shrimp macaron starter was very tasty and the green sauce to dip in had a great spicy kick to it. The Spanish garlic shrimp appetizer was a good size portion that we shared. It came out hot and sizzling on the plate - the shrimp was succulent and the tomatoes and garlic pieces were terrific. For the main dish, we split the uni (sea urchin) pasta. The pasta was home made and delicious. I have never had uni before and it was cool to try a unique and novel flavor but this might not be for everyone (it had somewhat of a bitterness that reminded me of the acquired taste of an olive). The sauce was definitely butter heavy and it evened out the strong flavor of the uni - I found the dish was delicious overall but it is pricey so just make sure you're aware and open minded before you order this. For dessert, we split the chocolate cake/soufflé and this one literally took my breath away and had me rolling my eyes into the back of my head. It was made to order so we had to wait for it to bake, but when it came out, the warmth and quality of the melted chocolate inside was exquisite and the proportions of cake to chocolate to ice cream was absolutely perfect (see video). We don't go out to nice fancy/French restaurants very often, and I'm so glad we indulged with this - it ended the evening in a truly special way. Restaurant ambiance was casual but elegant. Our service was fantastic - we don't eat meat or alcohol and our server helped us navigate the menu to find some great options. Overall, we are grateful for a lovely meal and would recommend anyone else to give it a try if you're looking for a unique and flavorful dining experience.

The FOOD: 4.5/5 | Drinks: 5/5 Off the appetizers, we had the pork belly bites and dirty fries! First dish came with a long hot pepper, several mini tortillas, and 2 dipping sauces. The pork was crunchy on the outside and soft+succulent on the inside. I can see myself doubling up on this appetizer the next time I come. Dirty fries were great; it came with a generous amount of pickled onions - providing a really nice contrast to the savoriness of our meal. Our waiter graciously accommodated our request to have the egg on the side. Off the entrée/taco menu, my friend ordered the Korean tacos and I got the Ensenada (fish) tacos. But you can also order the Ensenada tacos with shrimp. These were delicious, I would have loved a little more lime crema to go with the fish - but not a big deal. I got a Watermelon Margarita. I wasn't expecting it to be HUGE, but it was the perfect amount considering how much food we as a pair ordered. My friend ordered the La Toxica table side cocktail and one additional mango cocktail. Table side cocktail was a whole show and my friend really enjoyed it. We had a great lunch at Tempo Cantina. I can't wait to try more of their bar menu, maybe even at night when the restaurant is lively
