The quality was great, however, broccolini was undercooked. I think I'm caught up with the cost and the quantity. For all I think that this is just a bougie Panera bread. 5/5 for service. The cashiers were welcoming and helpful. Francisco, who was very tentative with our cleanup and very funny to chat with. You can tell someone to enjoy his life/their job just by the interactions you have with them 5/5 ambience. The reason I love Urban Plate is simple: healthy food! It is a place where you can eat a delicious meal even when you are on a diet, and the food is high quality without being too expensive. When they used to have a pass, I went there all the time. I do not go as often now, but every time I visit, I have a great meal. I usually get the beef, but this time I ordered the sea bass for the first time. The portion size was just right, and it was absolutely delicious. Ordered the Thai Chicken Noodle Salad. A lot more noodles than I would have liked but I enjoyed the chicken and the lettuce cups. Urban Plates is pretty premium and the gluten free bread is a little more and tastes like a muffin. Overall, I like the quality just not the carbs with the noodles. read more

Like some of its peers in the area, Urban Plates is a fast-casual restaurant offering fresh, made-from-scratch food at reasonable prices. I sometimes view fast-casual joints with restraint, as they can overpromise and be gimmicky. Let's see how this one fared. First impressions -- industrial décor, modern and clean -- like a high-end cafeteria, with counter or kiosk ordering, where you mix and match your proteins, sides, or salads and get assembly-line convenience. The indoor seating is deceptively large, with communal tables, and there's an outdoor patio as well. We ordered two mains for date night: the Beef & Mushroom Braise, and the Grilled Grass Fed Steak with Brussels Sprouts, Truffle Aioli, and Beet Salad with Goat Cheese. The beef braise was quite comforting -- buttery beef chunks, earthy mushrooms, and a gravy-like sauce accented by wine, garlic, and herbs. It reminded us of beef bourguignon. The grilled steak was well-balanced -- rich, savory, earthy, with sweetness and crispiness from the vegetables, while the tangy finish from the goat cheese cut through the fattiness. I love UP, even though it had been ages since I'd eaten here. Today I ordered some food to go. I usually order everything online, but decided to actually order at the restaurant this time. Ordering was quick and easy at the counter, and I waited about 5 min for my order. Inside it's very spacious, and there is plenty of seating in the patio area as well. Parking is easy to find, if you drive around to the front of the restaurant there is plenty of it. I ordered the grass fed beef steak, with the beet and goat cheese salad, and brussel sprouts. i need to give it another shot, since this was my first visit. I have been to the Invoice UP a bunch, but not in a while, and they have redesigned the menu a tad. I had the osso bucco, something that used to be seasonal, but now might be a permanent addition. I have had it before, and it tasted good, but the gravy was way too fatty and thin. The shank itself seemed a little small, but that might have been luck of the draw. I ordered Harissa Cauliflower as a veggie side dish. I really enjoy the menu and portions at Urban Plates as opposed to some competitors. The portions and food options go beyond sandwiches, salads and soup. Many people enjoy the side dishes so much that they order 3 or 4 side dishes as a main meal. The lemonade is not overly sweet as well, and tastes like real lemon juice. I feel like the offerings are organic and healthier options. We enjoyed our meals without guilt.
