Ok I know I already left a review but I had to come back because this place keeps impressing me. The vibe alone makes me want to stay for hours. It's peaceful, clean, and perfect for getting work done without distractions. Then the food comes out and it shifts the whole experience. It tastes like it came from a five star kitchen. I'm serious. I ordered the chef spotlight plate with two chicken tenders, mac and cheese, and balsamic glazed Brussels sprouts. The chicken was so juicy it caught me off guard. Like first bite and I had to pause. The mac and cheese was creamy and rich, and the Brussels sprouts had the perfect sweet and savory balance. I left full, happy, and already thinking about my next visit. Love love love Urban Plates. So simple yet DELICIOUS. My boyfriend and I come every once in a while and it hits every single time. We always ordered the truffle fries with truffle aioli -- SO flavorful every time. I ordered the blackened salmon with cauliflower and garlic mushrooms. i need to give it another shot, since this was my first visit. I have been to the Invoice UP a bunch, but not in a while, and they have redesigned the menu a tad. I had the osso bucco, something that used to be seasonal, but now might be a permanent addition. I have had it before, and it tasted good, but the gravy was way too fatty and thin. The shank itself seemed a little small, but that might have been luck of the draw. I love UP, even though it had been ages since I'd eaten here. Today I ordered some food to go. I usually order everything online, but decided to actually order at the restaurant this time. Ordering was quick and easy at the counter, and I waited about 5 min for my order. Inside it's very spacious, and there is plenty of seating in the patio area as well. Parking is easy to find, if you drive around to the front of the restaurant there is plenty of it. I ordered the grass fed beef steak, with the beet and goat cheese salad, and brussel sprouts. My wife and I were there last Thursday (April 30th) and had a great experience. My wife had the beet salad, and I had the grass-fed steak, and it was great as usual. What stood out was the incredible customer service the that was given by Jay, and Fidel. My wife had some questions about other menu items for our next visit, and they went above and beyond taking care of her, answering question, offering samples of what she was asking about, and then sent her home with a nice treat. Every time we eat at or order delivery from urban plates I feel that my family is happy with the flavorful options, all the while eating healthy food that makes me feel accomplished as a parent trying to teach good choices and balanced eating. Park on that side, or you'll just end up walking around. SERVICE (5/5): This is an order at the register and seat yourself place. You'll get a number and they'll bring out your food in record time (since I believe everything is pre-made)! We had a great lunch celebrating my cousin Tracy's birthday at Urban Plates. They have a new edition to the menu, Osso Bucco with mashed potatoes, sauce and toast point. I ordered Harissa Cauliflower as a veggie side dish. I really enjoy the menu and portions at Urban Plates as opposed to some competitors. The portions and food options go beyond sandwiches, salads and soup. Many people enjoy the side dishes so much that they order 3 or 4 side dishes as a main meal. The lemonade is not overly sweet as well, and tastes like real lemon juice. I feel like the offerings are organic and healthier options. We enjoyed our meals without guilt. Amazing experience from start to finish! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We had the chicken Cobb salad and the chicken noodle Thai salad, both were absolutely delicious and packed with great flavor. And the banana cream pie is to DIE for....so creamy, perfectly balanced, and honestly one of the best desserts we've had! I love this place because it reminds me of Tender greens. I feel like this place is even better than tender greens. Meats and sides are way fresher and better quality. We ordered steak with chimichurri and sides were Parmesan mushrooms and hummus and I added on some mushroom stuffing. Ok so the stuffing super dry and no flavor so yeah I think it's seasonal but I won't order that again. lol but everything else was yum. I'm excited to ordered different meats next time and sides. My company department Kaiser Permanent provided our Thanksgiving and Christmas luncheon through Urban Plates. the food was excellent. We each pre-selected 1 meal (chicken, steak, or tofu), and our managers picked up the orders and brought them to the clinics. I chose the steak plate, and it was delicious--well-seasoned, tender, and very filling. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and it felt like a real treat at work. Food here is so freaking good, I always get the chimichurri steak plate with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Steak is always cooked perfectly (med rare) and the side dishes always taste so fresh. I also decided to get the tomato bisque soup and that also hit really well, the texture is perfect, not too thin and not overly thick. Dipping the bread that comes with the steak plate in their soups is a really good combo. Service is also pretty good, cashier and server with glasses (unfortunately didn't get his name) were friendly and a worker named Francisco came over to check up on us, very friendly guy as well. The dining room is really spacious and clean although during my visit it was a bit chilly in there that I had to put on my sweater to keep myself from getting too cold. I didn't say anything about it only because I'm assuming they need to keep it at a certain temperature. This was my first time visiting Urban Plates. The decor is sleek and modern with some farmhouse charm. Staff was young and friendly, and the self-order system was easy to navigate. I really liked the outdoor patio, with plenty of seating and even a dog-friendly area. The food, though, was a bit underwhelming. Portion sizes were small for the price. Just two slices of tofu and a mini corn on the cob, both of which were surprisingly spicy. Not ideal. Vegetarian and vegan options were limited (just two), and the dessert menu was pretty sparse too. The ambiance and seating are the biggest pluses here, but overall, I probably wouldn't return if I was really hungry. read more
