Jimmy John's is one of the better big chain sandwich places. For super lazy nights, Jimmy John is my go-to. I ordered on the app so I can get points. The service and pick up was efficient. I got the Italian sandwich (salami, capocollo, ham, provolone, onion, tomato, mayo, oil and vinegar, and oregano-basil). It was delicious and better than most place's version of an Italian sandwich. Tried Jimmy John's at this location for the first time yeaaars ago and it's been my husband and I's top 3 favorite sandwich shop of all time. Before we head to the beach, we always pick up two #12 Beach Clubs and they hit the spot every. single. time. The BREAD is prob what makes their sandwiches stand out to us because it's so dang fresh, soft, & slightly buttery. Never had bread like that lol. Ingredients (turkey, provolone, avo spread, cucumbers, lettuce, and tomato) also taste great with a reasonable amount put inside the sandwich. I add extra cucumbers just bc I love them. First time at JJ's. Drive up took about 10 mins to get order. I asked if it always took this long and the attendant said, "No, we had a big order." She applied a discount and gave me $2 off for the wait. That was nice. When I arrived home, I noticed they gave me regular chips instead of the Salt and Vinegar I ordered. The Roast beef sandwich (I added cheddar cheese) tasted a bit bland but good. The sandwich was lacking though. There was only two thin slices of roast beef so I was glad I ordered it with cheese. People were nice and friendly, but I am really upset with the quality of the sandwiches. I ordered cheese on mine for an extra dollar, which they forgot and I requested EZ oil and it is drenched in oil and mayonnaise, too unbalanced. Second sandwich was supposed to be toasted and it ended up burnt and the meat is basically fried. They also didn't cut the sandwich after asking for it to be cut because we intended on sharing and took our food to a park. I recommend the sandwiches artist to take another training course, or please pay attention to the screen on what was requested. read more

I decided to try Jimmy John's after I got my haircut in the shopping center. So I opened my app and there was a promo for 20% off pickup orders. Just remember to enter the code before checking out and paying for the order! I forgot to do it and didn't get the discount! Ugh... I ordered a Lil John's combo meal #2 roast beef Sammy with a whole pickle and a bottle of diet coke. I was having a late 2 p.m. lunch. This was the perfect size sandwich to hold me off several hours until dinner. I placed the order while sitting in the parking lot, I was only a five minute walk away but needed to get to the next errand. I drove over there to the drive thru and confirmed my pickup on the speaker. It was a few minutes of waiting at the pickup window and I was presented my bagged meal and a bottle of diet coke. I received everything I ordered, even the napkins. The little roast beef hoagie included lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and mayo on a hoagie roll. The choices for the pickle was quarter, half, or whole. It's best not to eat a dill pickle while driving, lol. I had the choice of chips too but not this time. read more

OK, I am updating my review of this particular location to a one star. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I've literally been in the drive-through for 31 minutes and I'm still not yet to the window but I just placed my order. I had already been in the line over 20 minutes before ordering when the guy says they are, "out of French bread"... Famous Jimmy John's sandwiches is out of its famous bread on a normal Saturday in Yorba Linda, California. This place is always slower then most other locations, at least 25% of the time my order is incorrect in some way, and now they run out of bread at lunchtime on a Saturday. The bread is fresh baked, the store greets you with the aroma of fresh baked bread. Which, I like a lot. They have delicious cookies, a couple options for beverages including sweet tea which is unique in California. Don't expect a sandwich that has a lot of meat or toppings, they tend to be pretty skimpy but the taste is great. A few options for mustard too. For a quick sandwich, hands-down better than Subway. But that's not saying much. They would be on par for Jersey Mike's, and slightly below Togos. read more
