I'm a little self-conscious writing this review because anyone who knows me probably knows this one fact about me: I am obsessed with Mendocino Farms BREA (the "Brea" part is really important!). Their food is always fresh, meticulously prepared, and healthy - and the team is the warmest and friendliest staff that you actually look forward to seeing. After working all morning, my brain somehow can't handle the simple decision of where to eat for lunch - but the anticipation of interacting with Andre, his team (L'ree ), and nourishing my body with a fresh meal makes it simple. It's always clean, and the staff is so helpful and attentive! My favorite items: I'll really eat anything from here! But Chen's Crispy Rice Salad and the seasonal items take the cake. I love the BBQ Brioche Sandwich, and I'm already counting the days until the Heirloom Tomato BLT makes her hot girl summer debut this year. Chef's kisses all around! Side of Kale & Apple Rainbow Salad - It comes with kale, granny smith apples, rainbow carrots, toasted coconut, candied pecans and dried cranberries. It was dressed in Thai basil vinaigrette. I love the sandwiches here because it's packed with flavor & I don't feel icky after eating it. My go to order is the turkey avo salsa verde. The peppers in the sandwich give it a nice flavor kick & it comes with a salsa verde that adds onto that flavor. Side of couscous is always a must whenever I eat here! Lots of tables both inside & outside. Can get crowded especially during lunchtime. Service varies - one time I waited nearly 30 minutes, other times I waited between 10-15 minutes, so it really just depends. Once you're seated, you scan the QR code on the table so that the staff knows where to bring your food. Pretty cool concept that I haven't seen at other self-seating restaurants. read more

Came in for lunch and ordered the Cobb salad and the chicken pesto sandwich. The salad was a 10/10 - packed with flavor and perfectly balanced with great textures throughout. Every bite felt fresh and thoughtfully put together. The chicken pesto sandwich was also a 10/10. A: Caesar salad: shareable. It was pretty big and very tasty. Caesar dressing was tasty but not garlicky enough for me. Unfortunately, I've had two disappointing experiences that make me hesitant. The first time, my sister found a long bug in her salad.
