Absolutely amazing! I was craving a really good burger -- not just the basic hamburger special -- and this place went far beyond my expectations. I had the patty melt with sweet potato fries, and the combination was phenomenal. The staff and owner kept checking on us and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Highly recommend, and I'll 1000% be returning more often than I'd like to admit lol. read more

Such high quality burgers for a reasonable price!!! The chimmichurri was nothing short of amazing -- the perfect cheesy parsley garlicky flavor. Highly recommend that one!! However the bbq burger was a very close second. On top of that, the ONION RINGS the best onion rings I've ever had. The service was amazing and ambiance was more than I could ask for. Super friendly staff and neat family-friendly place to get a decent burger with spacious seating. This burger spot has something for everyone even arugula salads. They have weekly specials and for a limited time you can get their Pina Colada - a tropical twist with coconut crusted pineapple. You can really customize your burger with gluten free bun and even a pretzel bun option. Pina Colada was loaded with teriyaki sauce. Cremini burger with mushrooms were good. Tip ask for bbq sauce and mustard. They do have a ketchup station. Burrata salad was a good portion with a huge ball of barrrata. Stopped by Uptown Burger recently and we tried three types of burgers: Tri Tip Sandwich, Chimichurri Burger, and the Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich. I wanted to see what each tasted like and I was really excited by a specific one, which was the teriyaki sandwich. We also ordered the sweet and spicy chicken wings which blew my socks off, that was so good and I was shocked with how it stayed crispy with all that sauce! The service was great, there were a lot of customers when we stopped by and everyone looked happy with the food. It was also nice because a game was on that weekend and they turned the TV on so people can watch. There were lots of seating as well! At the end of our meal, I knew I loved the teriyaki sandwich, the wings, and the chimichurri burger. My bf really liked the tri tip sandwich, and it worked out for us because he could have majority of it haha. I was sad to see Peter's Gourmade Burgers go after their short stint at the Fullerton location but was excited to see a different burger spot open up. I've learned to keep my expectations low for new openings with restaurants but this spot caught my eye immediately and I had high hopes for a good new burger spot in the area. Here's what I've tried: **BBQ Burger: I was quite disappointed with this burger overall. There was a really light spread of bbq sauce in the burger that I couldn't taste anything except for the patty. I wish it was more bursting with flavor. (2/5) **Chimichurri Burger: Hands down, one of the best burgers I've ever had. Their housemade chimichurri is absolutely delicious. You can taste every ingredient including their arugula, pepper jack cheese, tomato, and pickled onion. Next time I'm for sure getting the double patty for that extra $4 charge. (5/5) **Farmer's Market Salad: Wanted to try a salad for my first visit after a hot day out in the sun and this simple salad caught my eye. It was very refreshing with all the different veggies but it was missing one thing that I was looking forward to the most, jicama. On top of that, their house made lemon vinaigrette was not good. The mint was overpowering the whole salad too. The fresh ingredients are there but the flavor profile was all over the place. (2/5) **Sweet Potato Fries: Delicious. Restaurants either make their sweet potato fries too salty or too sweet. Uptown makes them just right, no complaints. (5/5) My first visit was on a random weekday evening and the gentleman working was very kind. He was very polite and went straight into a conversation with every single person he interacted with. Since it was my first time, I asked for recommendations and that's when he recommended the BBQ Burger. I knew I should've gone with the Chimichurri but I wanted to try out a few items before writing this review. During my first visit, there were two people already waiting for their order and after I ordered, it took quite a while. My second visit, I put my pickup time for 1PM on a weekday afternoon and my order was ready by 1PM on the dot. Why am I giving them 4 stars instead of the 5? Although I really enjoyed their chimichurri burger and sweet potato fries, the other items were not up to par in my standards. Also, prepare to wait a little bit during dinner time. I'd come during the off hours unless you have time to spare. I've always enjoyed a good patty melt. Since my high school days where they had excellent sourdough and fresh made beef patties, there's something about the beef, grilled onions, melted cheese, and sharp sourdough that hits especially hard. Uptown has a very good patty melt, opting to add a roasted garlic aioli and use white cheddar instead of yellow to distinguish it from the masses. And they are welcome changes as they do nothing but increase the flavor quotient on an otherwise simple burger. The Reese's Shake was great too, even if peanut butter chunks were not as blended as I like them to be. If I can't get them up the fat straw, it's not blended enough. The service was good, if a bit slow. But it wasn't a huge deal as they were kind of busy. But they answered questions well and were very helpful in giving recommendations . They also were very helpful in explaining their weekly promotions. The ambience is good too. There is a ton of room with various two, fours, and three top booths, tables, and high tables. It's the kind of no-frills fast casual burger joint that fills in the gap between a fast food place and a true sit-down restaurant. I also liked that they said the tables are easy to push together for larger parties. All in all, this is a great place for burgers or just get together with some running. It's definitely in the running for lunch or dinner plans when I'm in the area. read more

Unfortunately for us we simply didn't think it was a good option for us. Send to be popular with the local little league as it was packed with teams. The food was not good, I had the uptown burger and it just didn't do it for me, and the wife felt the same with her meal and she's usually pretty forgiving... Prices are high for the food and if the quality and taste reflected this I would not mind but it just was very overpriced for the quality and taste. I wish them well. read more

Great new burger spot in Fullerton. It's located in a Ralph's shopping mall with lots of easy parking. They have several curated burger combos to choose from along with chicken sandwiches and salads. I like that they give you a choice of beef, turkey, or veggie patty for your burger. I had the uptown classic with a turkey patty. So moist and flavorful you would never guess it was a turkey patty. I upgraded the fries to sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious. They have lots of casual seating inside or you can order to go. Service was wonderful. They came by our table several times to chat and see how we were doing. Definitely recommend. read more

Came to the restaurant with my wife to have lunch. Ordered the teriyaki chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich came with fries so you did not have to order them separately. I liked this. The sandwich could have used more teriyaki sauce on it. I think one of the customer complaints is that the cooks are not putting enough sauce on the food. I talked to the owner about this and suggested they ask the customer if they would like a small cup of the side of the sauce that comes with the meal. That way they can add as much as they want. The owner seems enthusiastic and I hope they make it. read more

Very solid burger spot! Everything came out quickly and piping hot. The Cremini burger was delicious, sometimes you don't need to overcomplicate a burger, and this one you could taste each ingredient and it was all very fresh. The patty melt was also very good, the bread was toasted to perfection and had the perfect crunch. The service was also great and the space was very clean. The staff was attentive and cleared our table after we were done. Only thing is the prices were a bit high for a burger and some fries but we will definitely be coming back to try their other items! Adding some seasoning onto the fries may help elevate the meal, the sweet potato fries were nice and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, but I would have liked some sort of seasoning on top. Had uptown burger awhile ago... had to check it out since this location always changes business... so now from peters gourmet to uptown... I had Peter's a few times honestly tasty burgers felt high quality but to me it just was too expensive of a burger If you got for the whole meal.. fries drink etc. So I wasn't the biggest fan Now onto uptown... went in was thinking of the patty melt since I do love myself a patty melt on that sourdough.. asked the lady at the register to recommend me anything on the menu that would make me wanna come back. I told her initially I wanted the patty melt but anything is fine. She says the patty melt is probably one of their best sellers so I go with that. Just the melt wanted to try it first before buying all the other stuff. It was 15 foe the melt and. Side. Waited about 10 minutes got my food anddddddd it was blaaaaaaaaand. Like no flavor.. I swear for 15 dollars I expect something decent like im not even joking when i say any fastfood burger had more to sam amount of flavor... no joke even the sourdough bread for the melt was lacking.. It sucks that this is so close to home and would've loved another good burger joint but this one feels like a one n done for me. Good luck to them. Showed up cuz we wanted Peter's Gourmade Burgers. Found Uptown Burgers in it's space. Decided to stay cuz the kids were excited for burgers, & we do like to try new places. Do not regret that decision AT ALL! I got the chimichurri burger with citrus slaw. Couldn't decide between that & the roasted chili burger, so went with the recommendation of the guy that was helping us out. Super flavorful & really fresh. The slaw wasn't as sweet as I was expecting, which was a nice surprise. Hubs got the tri tip sandwich, which wasn't on their normal menu, but I hope they add it permanently, because that was also delicious -- yes, i stole a bite. He knew this was what he was signing up for when he married me! After all their excitement for Burgers, kids went with corn dogs (because of course they did), & they were both very happy with them. The only thing I'm upset about is that now we have to try everything on the menu, so the Uptown team's going to be stuck with us for a while. read more

My boyfriend and I were hungry after Sunday church service and a 5 mile hike. We were craving a big, juicy burger and a side, for a reasonable price, at a comfortable and convenient location. We found all that and more at Uptown Burger. UB is located in the Ralphs shopping center on Harbor Blvd, with Brea Blvd being the nearest major cross street. It's directly across from Hillcrest Park. It's tucked away neatly in the corner with the neighboring martial arts school next door. Upon entering, you notice how clean and large the dining area is. It's equally nice to have welcoming patio furniture directly outside for dining in that beautiful So Cal weather. The menu is next-level. There are a variety of choices to satisfy adults and children and those with specific restrictions. I'm practicing a low carb diet, so the lettuce wrap was right up my alley. With that, means I'm all about protein. So it was a pleasure to be able to double my protein for $4 more. I chose the BBQ version and selected two turkey patties. They offer veggie patties as well so I look forward to sampling that next time with a different version of sauces and offerings. Any place that sells sweet potato fries, has a sale from me on the spot. Hence, that was my chosen side. Let's talk about taste. The food was very fresh. I mean, duh right, but you can taste the goodness in every bite. The sauce an cheese combo on mine was phenomenal. Both the burger and fries were exactly the right temperature I'd expect. The staff we encountered were super friendly. The cashier explained what items on the menu were their more popular ones and did his best upsell on the packaged cookies that looked to die for, but we declined politely. There's a large screen tv inside and high chairs for kiddos. The wall is adorned with photos of Fullerton's surroundings back in the day. I did not require a visit to the bathroom so I can't comment on that. The prices are consistent for what you'd pay for a great burger and side at a sit-down restaurant, but this fast casual atmosphere took the longer wait time away. My guy and I will be returning here sooner rather than later, despite living in the city of Placentia. It's just that good. It doesn't surprise us in the least bit because the owner Joe Rasic used to run Craftsman for years in our city and I recall how much I desired those burgers back then. LOVED this place!!! We came here on a Saturday. It wasn't super busy and I honestly had doubts because the location didn't stand out, nor have I ever heard of it. The first thing I noticed was that although the menu wasn't super big, they had a large variety of options. The staff seemed attentive, friendly and happy to help. I believe the owner asked how we were doing too. Inside was clean and the vibe and music were chill. They had a huge TV. The food tasted spectacular! The BLT I ordered was probably the best I've ever had. The onion rings were perfectly crispy and nothing was too heavy, greasy or soggy. Portions are perfect and the house aioli sauce was so good! I would love to come back and try the other menu items. Since this is a burger place, I'd love to see more burger and sandwich options. Maybe more sauces too, like a spicy house ketchup. both service and food was great. we enjoyed options including the uptown classic burger (which was our favorite of the items). truly was classic - can't go wrong with it. their bbq burger was also great. it wasn't drenched in sauce, but rather had a perfect amount to where the meat's natural flavor still shined through with a good balance of bbq flavor. the blat sandwich had a generous amount of avocado and bacon, which is always more than appreciated. the regular fries are perfectly cut, i loved the texture - thin, crispy, and soft on the inside. they offer some housemade drinks which we enjoyed. i liked that they weren't overly sweet like most soft drinks. even though sweet is not always for me, the chocolate shake was genuinely amazing - both on its own and as a pairing for the fries. read more
