It was my first time here.. the owner was very helpful when explaining the items on the current menu.. he even told me in a few months, would be smoking their meats. The food was outstanding.. my husband ordered the Smoked Red Pepper and I ordered the Chicken & Bacon.. my husband said he could tell how fresh the beef was and my chicken sandwich was very tender . It was so delicious, I went back for the same sandwich..again was not disappointed.. oh I forgot to mention, that I ordered the strawberry malt for my husband and he said it was delicious... This is my second time eating here. The first time was their soft opening. The staff are very nice and attentive. I have had their Uptown Classic and their BBQ Burger. Both were quite good. We each tried a different sandwich. The chimichurri burger, the B.L.A.T., and the pesto chicken. All three were delicious. The BLAT had a lot of bacon and avocado on sourdough bread. The chicken pesto was also very good and it was everything I wanted it to be. But I think the chimichurri burger was my favorite of the 3. So this was the first time here at uptown Burger for me. A large group of coworkers and I who work in the area decided we would all check out the new grub spot. Of course it was our plumbers idea I'll give him props. Place is very modern looking with old school pictures of old town Fullerton, which I love. The Service was nice, we all got our food in a timely manner. I want to say there was at least about 13-15 of us there. I got the Caprese sandwich with onion rings, not the traditional Caprese I was thinking I would get. It had tomatoes, mozzarella, I believe it had arugula, not basil, red onions and pesto the bread was nice and soft. Added onion rings and a soda all came out to 22.99. Now I get it, everywhere you go seems to charge a lot and I feel this was one of those times for this meal. The owner was a wonderful young guy that was super pleasant and very nice. I've said it before, I am more about customer service than price. I like to eat local and put my money in local businesses. Because of how wonderful the staff and the owner was is one of the reasons I will come back to this restaurant. I wish them nothing but the absolute best moving forward with this new venture. Had a chance to go to this new burger spot in Fullerton and it really hit the spot. Its in the Ralph's shopping center off of Harbor. It has a really cool vibe inside with sports, music and the smell of deliciousness throughout the dining room. We ordered a classic burger and a Teriyaki Chicken sandwich - both were amazing. Prices are really good for the quality we got. The shoestring fries were hot and their ranch dressing is definitely house made. The team members are really friendly. We met Payton and he talked with us about how they are really focused on becoming part of the community - love it! I've had many at Islands over the years, but the uptown veggie burger is the best. A lot of it is the variety of things they put on the burgers. So beef, turkey or veggie --all great. Here's what you can expect. Friendly and comfortable business with really good quality hot food. I had the mushroom burger and happy to report it was great. Lots of mushrooms and cheese. No need to sauce it up with ketchup as it didn't need any. My wife had the patty melt which she said was excellent. It had sourdough bread . To me a traditional patty melt is thin meat with Rye bread . This is a traditional Frisco burger. None the less. Everything was perfectly cooked . High quality beef was juicy and tasty. Fries are shoestring served hot!! Onion rings were crispy and tasty. I hope they make it as this place has the legs to be successful. So if you are looking for a great family burger place this is it.
