My friends and I enjoyed a delicious brunch here! the employees and really friendly, and despite being super crowded on a Saturday morning - our party of 6 was seated quickly. Very cute and cozy environment! You order at the counter and then the food is delivered to you. Our meals were a reasonable size, and came out fast as well. The only downside is that there only seems to be street parking, which can be a struggle on weekends.

Got the so cal breakfast burrito and chocolate chip pancakes, came out super fast really nice looking place and service was great

This place has been a staple for me since it first opened. Today the service was really welcoming. We chose where to sit and ordered at the front, and the friendly waitresses came by occasionally to refill our coffees and waters. I got the breakfast bowl, which was delicious and a pretty good portion of food. My mom got the biscuits and gravy, which came out slightly burnt and she thought the biscuits were too sweet. The hashbrowns were also too greasy for her. However, the egg turned out perfectly and the gravy was tasty. Overall, it was a nice experience for a quieter neighborhood brunch spot. It's cute inside, clean, and has a quirky, local vibe.

Key Notes: - Quick Service - Use street parking - Great Food I ordered the Chilaquiles, Avocado Toast, and Banana Walnut Pancakes The Chilaquiles were very good, crunchy chips with flavorful salsa that had a nice kick to it. I had no complaints on this dish I would recommend to order this. The Avocado toast was a bit pricey but I was very good. The egg was cooked to perfection and there was a good amount avocado. I would also recommend to order this. The pancakes were pretty similar to most places, but overall they were good and a nice size. I wish it had more banana slices though. I am giving this place a four star instead of a five because we had to go flag down and employee for a refill on our drinks. We basically ate our whole meal without a drink. The Service was super quick, the staff is friendly, and it seems like everything on the menu is delicious. The ambiance is casual and The parking is very minimal, so just use the nearest street parking right infront of the restaurant. Overall this would be a good option for your next brunch

Great service! Pleasantly surprised by how attentive the staff were. Food came out very fast also! You walk in and order at the counter. Seat yourself in the dining area. They give you a number, and they bring the food to your table. I wanted to try a bit of everything at this cafe. We stuck with mostly breakfast items and one lunch/ dinner item. All were delicious. French Toast 10/10 The French Toast was fantastic! It tasted so good. The bread was cooked well and nice, thick slices. It was dusted with powdered sugar and topped with fresh fruits. The fruits were very good on top. I splashed some syrup on this, and it was a great breakfast. Biscuit and Gravy Breakfast 10/10 My husband loved this so much. He kept raving about the gravy and biscuits. You get a huge biscuit lol My husband is so picky about gravy and judges a breakfast cafe by how well they do their gravy. He was impressed. That's a win lol Nachos 10/10 These were great! Fantastic chips, they were freshly made. The queso cheese is absolutely addicting!!! We were licking that off the plate lol It was so good and cheesy. Loved the nachos. The black beans and tomatoes were very good. Just needed some guacamole. Would order that again! Side of two eggs 7/10 The eggs were cooked all the way through. The eggs tasted a bit slimy. I wasn't a fan. I wanted sunny side up eggs, but they were just not cooked enough. Side of avocado 7/10 It was brown in color and had a mushy texture. It didn't taste well either. Not good. I get it through; avocado can be ripe one minute and brown the next lol Side of hash brown 10/10 Huge plate of hash! It was cooked really well. Crispy on the top and greasy. Delicious hash brown! I'd order that again. Overall, wonderful experience. We will be back! :)

Saw this place on tik tok and decided to come and try it out. Their mission statement is so touching.! The food was alright. For the price it is what it is. On the other hand, the drinks were amazing! I got a dirty chai and loved it!

We came here for breakfast. It's a cute little cafe. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. They do check on you but I don't really like this method. If they check on you and bring you water and condiments and food then I feel like they should just take your order at your table. We ordered the chicken and waffles. This comes with hot honey maple sauce and breaded chicken. Served over 2 house made waffles. Pretty good! We also ordered the biscuit and gravy breakfast which came with 2 eggs your way, hash browns, housemade Discur topped with country gravy. This was just okay to me. For myself... I have a slight obsession with omelets so I got the Veggie Omelette which came with Spinach, portobello mushrooms, red onions, and Monterey cheese. I got the hash brown as a side. I also got sourdough toast. This was really good! I love all the veggies! Their hash browns is super good! Very crispy which I like. For coffee, we got caramel macchiato... this was just okay. Their portions are good sizes and I do like their food. Not sure I will be back because there are other breakfast places I like better! All in all.... it was a good experience.

I have mixed feelings about the service, but the food was delicious! The first lady to take my order seemed in a rush with how fast she was taking my order, even though no one else was in line, and the other customers were already done eating. I felt a little frazzled and couldn't get my order right. After that, she was nice when bringing out our food. Later on, a younger staff member came and she was fantastic and friendly. I got the traditional breakfast and green tea latte. The food was definitely filling! The green tea was alright; it wasn't as sweet as I'd like. Overall, the place was very cute and spacious, and I like the mismatched furniture which adds to the charm.

Came here on a Sunday morning and it was a little busy. It's located near a neighborhood but they do have a small parking lot otherwise you'll have to park on the street. When you come in you order first then take a seat. Servers were very attentive. The food was pretty good. I got the traditional breakfast and biscuit and gravy. I felt like the biscuit was kind of tough and the pancake was okay. They also serve lunch as well and it's a nice place to meet with friends and family for brunch.

Came to this Mom and Pop restaurant to see what it's about. I've been living in the city for about eight years now, and always would pass by it but thought it was somehow part of the community college across the street. Came in one morning to see what they had on the breakfast menu. When you walk in, it's a really big dining room space however, once you find a place to sit, you check out the menu and go up and purchase your food at the register. They have a small menu, which is pretty basic and to the point. As I walked around, I noticed everybody's food which looked delicious. I ordered the BLTA, and my friend ordered the breakfast with one waffle. I will say this...the bummer about my order was to find out that I had to pay separately for salsa, which was almost 5 dollars for both red and green. The food was good, the bacon on my sandwich was thick and yummy. The service was very quick, kind, and attentive as well. I ended up paying about $50 with tip, which is not too bad for breakfast but I feel it could've been a little cheaper for what we got. Overall, it's a cute place, the food is tasty but nothing to get me running back too fast. Would I go there again? Sure if somebody specifically asked me to. Am I dying to go back, not so much. Do I recommend you go? Sure, give it a try, there's always something out there for everybody!

Monkey Business Cafe has a comfy and homey vibe that feels like a local favorite spot. This cafe is perfect for being productive or for relaxation. I visited twice on weekdays. Both times were calm with plenty of seating. You order at the register and seat yourself. Staff are friendly and helpful. I tried the Chilaquiles ($16), Breakfast Tacos ($16), and Chicken Tortilla Soup ($13). The Breakfast Tacos were my favorite -- you get two big tacos with egg, chorizo, cilantro, cheddar cheese, plus seasoned potatoes and black beans on the side. Their website mentions that they make their food from scratch whenever possible, and you can tell with the potatoes. The seasoning was perfect. The potatoes tasted fresh and homemade with the skins left on which I loved. All dishes tasted good and were shareable portions though everything could have used more warmth. The cafe sits next to a neighborhood. The parking lot is small but street parking is available as well.

Breakfast Burrito, Breakfast plate and side of a waffle

Solid breakfast joint! Definitely gives off more of the classic diner feel, but they have a lot on their menu for a great breakfast. The restaurant is very spacious and has plenty of tables. Although, it was quite filled when we went and we had our dog with us, so we went to sit outside. There can be a lot of tiny mysterious bugs outside, so be careful! It was a nice day to eat outside at least so it was a nice experience. The server comes out pretty often so we weren't forgotten. We ordered a breakfast burrito and a breakfast plate with a side of waffle. The burrito was actually pretty good! My bf enjoyed that the most because it includes hash browns in it. The sauce that came with the dish was also very nice as well. The breakfast plate was also pretty solid, although the potatoes could definitely have been more crispy. Eggs were nice and fluffy that I got to share with my dog. The waffle was surprisingly pretty good too, it wasn't too doughy or dense, and it had a nice crisp to it. Also, our food came out soooo fast? Was surprised how fast it came out lol. Service was good and food is solid here.

Excellent food! Yelp pictures is what led me to come try this out. Very delicious, tried a variety of menu items, portions are excellent. If you order chilaquiles, you will take some to go! Lol! It's a very nice facility, tables are clean and enough seating for all. Ambience n employees are very nice. Would definitely come back for more!

The waffles were on point! Yum

You pull the giant door and enter a vibe. It's definitely ready for Halloween, a bit dim, old fashioned, lives up to the centuries old feel. We split some soups. Both the lobster bisque and French onion soups were solid. Lobster bisque was super creamy, delicious. French onion was surprisingly mild, not heavy on the salt, very nice. I got the tenderloin, which was fine. But the winner was the salmon, very well-cooked with a super crisp skin. Service was attentive. The experience starts…read morebefore you even sit down, when you descend a staircase into this dimly lit, intimate space that feels tucked away from the rest of the world. The ambiance was honestly one of the highlights of the night: cozy without feeling cramped, upscale and perfect for a 4-course dinner. We started with drinks: The Cuff (their rotating bartender's-choice cocktail) and the River of Dreams mocktail with passionfruit, pomegranate, citrus, and orange blossom. The mocktail especially was super refreshing and tropical without being overly sweet. They also brought out a complimentary bread basket that immediately saved us from making poor hunger-driven decisions. For the first course, the Creme Fraiche Tartine with cherry confit tomatoes and fried sage was surprisingly delicate; creamy, airy, and almost slightly sweet in the best way. The potato croquette with truffle aioli was the complete opposite texturally: crispy, rich, and incredibly satisfying. Second course was a mixed bag. The black kale salad with coconut vinaigrette, toasted almonds, and Gruyere sounded amazing on paper, but it felt underdressed and didn't quite come alive. Thankfully, the asparagus soup more than made up for it. The lemon oil brightened everything, and every bite with bacon and croutons added so much depth and texture. For entrées, I accidentally ordered the chicken fettuccine instead of the lamb Wellington I had originally planned on getting...a mistake I regretted almost immediately. The chicken was unfortunately a bit dry and the pasta leaned tougher than expected. HOWEVER, the filet mignon completely stole the show. Perfectly cooked, ridiculously tender, and paired beautifully with the pomme purée, broccolini, and rich port wine demi-glace. Dessert ended the night on a strong note. The vanilla ice cream with bourbon-poached pears was an interesting twist on a familiar flavor combo, while the vanilla souffle with strawberry crème anglaise was comforting and elegant. The crispy caramelized bits around the edge of the soufflé dish were honestly the best bites of the entire dessert course. Overall, Cellar shines brightest in its atmosphere and elevated dining experience. While not every dish hit perfectly, the highs were very high, service was warm, and the entire evening felt thoughtfully curated. Definitely a memorable Valentine's dinner spot if you're looking for something intimate and a little hidden away.

While inside the establishment, I was suddenly struck on the side of my face by an unknown individual without warning or provocation. I did not see the attacker, as the assault occurred unexpectedly from outside my field of vision. The force of the impact caused me to fall to the ground in a state of confusion. Rather than checking on my condition, ensuring my safety, or attempting to identify or detain the individual responsible, a bouncer approached me and immediately instructed me to leave the premises. At no point did staff ask whether I was injured, request my statement, or attempt to locate the assailant. The actions of Chakos staff demonstrate a failure to provide reasonable security and care for patrons. Instead of responding appropriately to an assault occurring inside their venue, staff removed the victim while allowing the responsible individual to remain unidentified. Since the incident, I have attempted to obtain the establishment's insurance information to pursue proper claims related to the injuries and damages suffered. Chakos has failed to provide this information or take accountability. On April 22, 2026, I spoke with an employee named Carlos to follow up regarding the incident and insurance details. Carlos stated that he did not have internet access and suggested I speak with a manager but failed to provide any further direction or assistance. This interaction reflected the same pattern of negligence and lack of responsibility demonstrated on the night of the assault. My first visit was a few months ago, and I felt like I was bothering our server for water refills, napkins and other things. It was a Saturday night and while it was not packed, it took about an hour to get 2 panini's. Went today for my birthday, and my adult son told the server that the three of us were sitting on patio. Server shows up with 2 menus and 2 glasses for water. Sees me and scolds my son for not telling her that there was a third person. She brings a 3rd glass but never a 3rd menu. I specifically mention that we are here for happy hour specials. There is only 1 other table occupied, otherwise it's empty. We wait over 20 minutes to place our order. 1 personal board supposed to be $10. Plus (2) panini's. Wait another 30+ minutes... get our food and that's it. No check in - no water refills. My son goes and gets the server for a box and to order another personal board. We wait another long period to get it. I go inside to taste some cheese. We add on something to our bill. It was $104... I do some quick math and assume the price is because of the cheese I added to the bill. I add a tip on the lowish side, because we didn't really get any "service" to be worth the $18 I added onto it. I get home to review the receipt... and was charged $20 for the personal boards + the add ons... I am so let down. I spent $130 and didn't get awesome service or the happy hour discount.
