I've never really gone out for brunch, so this place was such a delight for my first time! The wait was 20-35 minutes, but we definitely waited only like 10 minutes for our table. So expect to enter in a waitlist because it gets crowded! The food was amazing! Absolute 10/10! I got the hash skillet which was a much larger portion than I thought I was going to get. Soft potatoes with gooey cheese, bacon bits, green onions and scrambled eggs (but you can get the eggs however you like them!). Every bite was delicious! I even tried my sister's and my best friend's chicken and waffles, which I will definitely get next time. The chicken was crispy and the waffles are so nice and fluffy. It's also amazing paired with their syrup that they have on the side. For my drink, I got their messy caramel latte and it is packed with caramel drizzle and whipped cream, with a nice coffee flavor. The overall ambiance is very nice, definitely what you expect from a busy cafe. And our server was great too! Definitely a recommendation for a weekend brunch! read more

It wasn't too busy, and we were seated right away. Our server (Alicia) was dropping off drinks and said she would be right back. She came back with a huge smile on her face, introduced herself to us, and took our drink order--coffee and water for me. She quickly returned and asked if we were ready to order. We were not ready to order yet, since the menu was so big and everything looked so good. We finally ordered, I got the Southern Biscuit and Gravy with French Fries My wife ordered the CA Omelette. In no time at all our food had arrived. The biscuits were light and fluffy, the gravy was perfect with enough sausage in it to fill you up. French fries were golden brown and hot. Had a great breakfast at the Broken Yolk Cafe. You know when they do coffee right, it can't go wrong. I ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict with hash browns, and my friend Joe had the American Breakfast with English muffin and bacon. Our server was friendly and checked on our coffee regularly. They were quite busy for a Sunday morning and we had a little wait. I'm glad we tried this place out. Very reasonable prices and good portions. I was satiated and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I have to give special kudos for the hash browns. I know they must not be too healthy because they were so delicious. I normally don't finish my potatoes but this was exceptional. Came back again with my husband and seriously I can't wait to try their whole menu. Their smoothies are AMAZING. Highly recommend getting the strawberry banana smoothie. We originally drove into the plaza to get coffee, but saw Popping Yolk in the corner, so we decided to give it a try. The line wasn't too long, there was good seating, and decided brunch sounded delicious at the moment. You head into the cashier, order and pay first, then find a seat. The wait wasn't too bad. We waited about an hour. Our servers name was Sam. She was nice and attentive, but towards the end, she never came to our table. We asked her to bring us a bag so we could take our food to go, but she never showed up. That was unfortunate, but we just ended up getting one from someone else. It's always packed here so expect a wait, but the service is great and I have always felt welcomed. The waitress we had this time was awesome! For someone who doesn't eat eggs, she recommended that I substitute with avocado on my skillet which was no extra charge!!! I was so grateful to find this information out! I'm not exaggerating, has been a while since I walked in a I received excellent customer service not from the host but from the servers, we got to our table right away , the place was packaged but no waiting, they asked right away about our drinks, very tourist but you can see families, police officers, couples such a nice atmosphere and once you take a look of the menu omg hard to pick so may yummy things we ordered 2 different kind of omelets and when they brought them to our table such a nice presentation and a delicious smell, my first taste omg!!! I came here with an aquientance while we both were in Anaheim for something else. The waiter Sam was very friendly, helpful and attentive to us and her others table from what I could see. The food is delicious, I recommend their cinna-cake with frosting set on the side. So you can determine your amount of frosting. The pancake or cinna-cake is by far most delicious food we got there. I do recommend their eggs breakfast but, the pancake delicious and highly recommend! Once again, Sam the waitress was very, very helpful and she was always ready to refill us when our unlimited refill drink got empty or low. We came here in the morning for Mother's Day and based on the crazy line outside and ridiculous wait time, you would think they were passing the food out for free or something. As expected, after being seated, we had very slow service. I was asked for a coffee refill only once. We had to constantly ask other servers for help with stuff. Also, I did not know the children's milk that comes with the kids meal is not free refills. Ended up spending 2.99 for an add on that took forever to come and then my daughter didn't even drink. Waste of money. The table was sticky. The maple syrup dispenser was super sticky. We actually had to walk up to the front to request cutlery. There was too much chaos. The food itself was decent. Came here before my study session to order an omelet to go. Based off what I've read about this restaurant, there was a general consensus that brunch hits the spot here, so I had to check it out! Upon arriving, this place was pretty busy, but I was helped almost immediately by a friendly waitress. I attempted to order an omelet that originally did not have the choice of meat I wanted, though it turned out to be not a problem as the workers were more than willing to help me out with the substitute! I received my order after about 15 minutes and decided to eat it where I studied. The portions were as I would've hoped, but I did not receive any utensils to eat my meal with. After taking my first bite into the biscuit, I was not very impressed with it despite its massive size. It was pretty bland and very brittle, which led me to not finishing it. As for the omelet, it did not seem as good as I was expecting. I am not sure if it was due to my substitution meat choice? All I can say is that the omelet, despite meaning to be the star of the meal, ended up being probably the biggest let down as I found the hashbrowns to be somewhat more enjoyable, even though they were just plain hashbrowns. I do want to end this review by saying that maybe in the near future, I would be willing to come back and try a dine-in experience to see if there is a difference in the quality of my meal. I'm the kind of person that likes to try various things on a menu so I appreciated the chance to pick two different kinds of benedicts on the list (although so many more sounded so good as well!). The first one I decided on was the golden state benedict which is described as a "toasted English muffin topped with grilled tomato, avocado, applewood-smoked bacon, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, and a sriracha drizzle." Ok so I was lucky enough to have my son take me to breakfast for my birthday. First time he's treated me to anything. Guess I did something right. So it was only right for me to take advantage and eenjoy the mimosa flight. This place can get crazy, there was a 45 minute wait. Usually I would never wait but I had time to kill. Service was great and they will text you to let you know when they are ready for you. I walked around the shopping center until I was ready I had the French toast, eggs and bacon. BEWARE! TLDR: This place has bad food and bad service. We went for brunch on Friday morning and while we have previously enjoyed the food here, each time we've come it gets worse, and this time will be our last time giving them our money. Our waitress was horrible - she didn't greet us for about 10 minutes. I would mention her name, but she never introduced herself or wore a name tag. Then when she took our order, she acting very distracted and it wasn't a huge shock that our food came out poorly. My bacon and sausage (that I requested be cooked well done) was raw, the bread for my French toast tasted old, my dining partner's steak (ordered medium well) came out overcooked and shriveled into a tiny piece of unappetizing meat. We would have loved to give them a chance to correct it, but our waitress never came to ask how our food was or even looked at us again until she dropped the check. Zero eye contact, made to feel like an afterthought, AND the food was both wrong and cooked poorly = we won't be coming back. If we're spending $60 on brunch, it's not beyond reasonable expectations to have the food come out the way we ordered it and to be treated like valued customers. It was a tiny bit bland but nothing that couldn't be fixed with salt and pepper. My boyfriend got the New York steak and eggs. The steak was soft however it was cooked too well done even though he ordered it medium rare. Hashbrowns were all right, and the eggs were standard. We also got an order of linked sausages as well as the Nutella crêpes. The sausages were very different from other breakfast joints. The casing was very thick. The Nutella crêpes were fine.
