Tried this place out for the first time. So worth the hour drive! There was no wait when we came at around 2 pm on a Sunday. Service was decently fast. I was amazed by the amazing quality of all of the food- we ordered the Korean Galbi, gochujang rigatoni, and the calamari. My fiance said that this was the best calamari he ever had, and I really liked the sauces they provided with it! The galbi was soooo nice and tender, and their plate comes with so much too- definitely enough to share amongst 3-4 people, and that's a lot coming from a big back like me. Service was also quick and attentive! I rounded up to a 5 stars, but this place is more like a 4.5 to me- the only thing that's preventing it from being perfect is their rampant use of AI. When I called, they had an AI answer my questions, and the Ai voice was super annoying and kept interrupting my questions. The uncanny part about the AI responder is that they play restaurant ambient noises in the background so that it "feels" like you're talking to a real person- it just feels so dystopian in my opinion. They also play AI music constantly in the restaurant, which can be repetitive and annoying to some. Anyway, I'm definitely coming back, but I would probably like this place even more if it had more of a human touch!

Garlic pasta with chicken

I was pretty disappointed in this place. The atmosphere is nice but the food was a miss. I didn't take a picture of it, but some how a metal chard ended up in one of the pieces of the truffled potato appetizer. I was chewing and felt something sharp and weird in my mouth. Not sure how something like that could end up in the food, but that made me lose my appetite. The galbi was a let down. For $65 bucks, I was expecting better. It looks nice but for some reason the top portions were the cartilage pieces not the good parts of the meat. The best dish was the shrimp rose pasta, but it was still mid. You order off an iPad on the table so there's not too much interaction with the workers.

it is my mother's birthday. I was about to approach 1 year mark with my new job. I took my mother out for dinner. My mom heard about this place from her friend. so why not. Know this place is relatively know since this was a Souplantation. The moment we entered the restaurant, it has this relaxing k-drama vibe. The light is kinda dim with an auto serving robot. The food order is done at the table with the tablet. We ordered the steak plate which is enough for 2 people. It was great. steak was juicy and tender. Fries were well seasoned and the sides provided a great balance.

Gave this place another try and I was glad that menu and food got improved. Got the Galbi American style this time and it was good not as sweet as before but for $65 a little steep. Garlic pasta was just so so more onion than garlic taste. The rose shrimp pasta was delicious this time I can tell the sauce was definitely improved. I love the option of reserving in advance so that's a plus. I would be back again for the rose pasta.

Highkey recommend this place for large parties/groups!! There is a semi private room located in the back that is available to book for a $50 deposit to guarantee/hold. This deposit will be taken off the bill and there is no minimum spend or set menu. I was told the room sits 20-25 comfortably. The food and service is always great here and the menu is always changing a little bit so you won't get tired coming back time and time again.

Some of the yummiest Asian fusion pastas I've had at very affordable prices. Not much of a wait on a weekend lunch time with excellent service. The food comes quickly and also in huge portion sizes. Would definitely return!

OC Galbi Steak Korean. It comes with sides of kimchi, bean sprouts, and pickled jalapeños.

Our party of 4 ordered 2 OC Galbi Steak Korean, 2 Fried Calamari, and 1 Rose Pasta. The galbi was wonderfully marbled and charbroiled to perfection. I was surprised to see that the calamari was a whole baby octopus instead of the typical squid rings served elsewhere, hence the included kitchen scissors so one can cut the cephalopod into smaller bite-sized morsels. The rose pasta with shrimp was a bit spicy for my taste but was nevertheless tasty. There is a tablet at one end of each table where one can order but we ended up asking one of the friendly staff to help us navigate the digital UI. The staff was also attentive during our stay. The place is very modern, clean, and well air-conditioned. It has a feeling of being spacious and uncluttered because the tables are sufficiently far apart from each other. Parking at the front could be a challenge but the rear lot has more stalls.

It did not disappoint! We got the Shrimp Rosé, Truffle Salmon, and Jjamppong pastas. Each dish was packed with flavor. It was creamy, rich, and perfectly seasoned. Loved the iPad ordering and robot service-- fun experience. Staff was attentive and checked in often. Definitely coming back to try other items.

This is an interesting Korean American fusion restaurant, but I would consider it more American than Korean. Reasons for that: no rice (unless you order it separately), no banchan, not chop sticks, no soup ... This isn't necessarily a diss -- just that this is more an American restaurant that borrows a little bit of Korean than a Korean restaurant that incorporates some American. We went with a large group so we got to taste almost everything. And that's one good thing ... Dishes are large and very good for sharing. I thought the bossam was the best. The ribeye steak was a close second. I thought both were cooked very well-- the meat was juicy and very flavorful. But, to be a bit of a stickler, the bossam was really pork belly ... Bossam is the same cut of meat but it's supposed to be steamed for a long time so that the fat really renders. Here, it's basically just cooked like pork belly. Good. But not bossam. Others at the table really liked the pork chops and American galbi as well. I didn't like them as much because I thought they were too sweet -- particularly the pork chops. If you like a really sweet flavor, then maybe you'll like it. The seafood risotto was fine, but nothing special. Same with the pasta -- just fine. The calamari was also quite excellent. Pro tips: there are things you can order that are not on the menu, including sodas, steamed rice, and kimchi. I was going to take points off for no kimchi. But you can request it.

great place to host large groups! came here for a birthday with a large group and it's so nice how they divide the rooms where it feels private. the food was all so yummy and everyone was either able to get their own entree or share family style to try multiple things. everything was super delicious and i would definitely come back!

Eight of us celebrated a rellie's bday at this KBBQ fuzn place in Fullerton. There were positives & negatives. Positives: Ariah (?) and Celine took great care of us; The price per person was reasonable @ ~$65. We had 3 drinks, 2 apps, 4 Galbi w/ banchan & rice, 2 pastas, one bulgogi rice and 3 desserts. There were some leftovers for 8 of us; Our table was somewhat partitioned off with a divider, so we did have some privacy; Negatives: The music was too loud; It took a while for them to clear our plates; All in all, a positive experience primarily bc of the good service. I would like to return in the future to try other dishes.

Spicy Gochujang Rigatoni

It was Valentine's Day coming up and I was looking for a spot with asian fusion food that my girlfriend enjoys; I decided to reserve a table at dPlace since it was close to where we would be in the afternoon. It was a seamless process as I confirmed this on Yelp for a party of 2. A few days before, I also needed to reconfirm I was still going to attend. On the day off, we actually arrived roughly 20 minutes earlier and were able to get accommodated for seating. Parking was moderately packed but we didn't have issues getting a spot at around 5:30 pm. We were able to get a booth seat near the window with a little rose waiting for us. The light was dim so it definitely felt romantic. The music wasn't too loud here, so we were able to have a conversation. The store had a tablet at the table for us to browse through with photos and prices for reference. The UI had tabs on the side, so it was easy to filter between appetizers, pastas, etc. There's also a button on there to call the staff. When the order came, there was a neat little robot that carried the dishes. (It came mid conversation, so I forgot to record it lol). For our order, we got the spicy gochujang rigatoni, bulgogi mushroom risotto (level I spice), and OC galbi korean. The Rigatoni was one of their signature pasta dishes and left an impression; it was creamy and had a kick to it. When it came to the bulgogi, we were a bit surprised that it wasn't sweet. It was actually spicier than the rigatoni and we felt it was okay. The OC galbi was a set that came with marinated short rib, kimchi, celery pickle, beansprouts, and arugula salad. We felt this added a lot of variety to the pastas and was good. Everything was more than enough for two people and we each even had leftovers. They do accept American Express as a payment option.

Galbi
Khaing A.

Food is great. Ambiance is nice and service was good. Galbi was my favorite dish of the night. It came with side dishes and salad, which cut down the heaviness of the meat. The cocktail was sweet, fruity and refreshing. Pasta and risotto were also very solid. Reservation was easy to make through yelp, so I recommend making a reservation to avoid the line especially on the weekends.

We had scallops and the ceviche trilogy to start, and by then we were already pretty full. For the main, we shared the 58 oz Prime Angus Cowboy Ribeye; it was a lot of food, so we definitely took some home. We also had two glasses of sparkling rosé. His level of customer service is what I've always appreciated about The Ranch ever since Rito moved on. The service here has consistently been top notch and has never let us down. This visit, the food fell a little short of the usual standard. The fries weren't very crispy, although the sides were still delicious. My Delmonico, which is normally super juicy and tender, came out closer to medium instead of medium rare and was also a touch cold. That said, The Ranch is still one of my favorite spots in OC. If the kitchen can consistently match the high standards and execution that the servers provide, this place will easily stay at the top as one of the best steakhouse experiences in Orange County.

My wife, my 10-year-old, and I have been here about six times now, and honestly? The place always hooks us with its atmosphere. Think: rustic wood, tons of TVs, and a Sunday band that's fun enough to make you forget you meant to leave an hour ago. And shout-out to the bartenders -- they're consistently friendly. Sure, pours are a little on the "skinny jeans" side sometimes, but the good service makes up for it. Now... the food. Let's start with the wins: The burgers? Solid. The bison burger? A welcome surprise that actually delivers. But the moment you wander off the burger path? Things get... complicated. We tried a dessert two visits ago, and it came out so burnt it basically qualified as charcoal. But okay -- everyone has an off night. This last visit, though, we aimed high and ordered 2 x 14 oz ribeye. $56 worth of steak dreams, medium rare, double veggies, no mashed potatoes. Here's what landed on the table instead: A giant pile of carrots. Only carrots. Not "seasonal veggies," unless carrot season lasts 12 months now. Enough balsamic reduction to qualify as a shallow pool. My steak was literally swimming in it. Absolutely zero seasoning -- not even a rebellious sprinkle of salt. Listen... the steaks were cooked nicely. Credit where credit's due. But no one orders a ribeye expecting a balsamic slip-n-slide. The Verdict Taste-wise? This was a $25 steak wearing a $48 price tag and hoping no one notices. Atmosphere? Great. Staff? Kind. Burgers? Dependable. But if you're going for anything fancier -- especially steak night -- prepare for some surprises, and not the good kind.
