I ordered a filet mignon, New York Strip, Sour Dough Rolls, Housemade Soup, and Crowded House Sauvignon Blanc Wine. The Sour Dough Rolls were AMAZING, mine came out hot and fresh with a nice crunch. Pro tip is to dip them into the housemade soup. The Housemade soup is a must try and best paired with something. I highly recommend to add as your side. The Crowded House Sauvignon Blanc wine tasted great for the price, it's nice and sweet. If you're looking for a nice wine without breaking the bank I would recommend this one. The bacon wrapped Filet Mignon was great, I ordered mine medium rare and they cooked it almost to perfection. I wish it had a bit more sear and a little more rare in the middle, but overall flavor was great and the cut was nice and tender. I would recommend to order this. The Sautéed mushrooms were full of flavor and go well with the Steak. The New York Strip was great as well, sear was perfect on this one and so much juice and flavor. I ordered medium rare but it came as a medium, not a big deal since it was really tender and juicy. I would recommend this steak as well. Take the medium instead of medium rare with a grain of salt, medium rare is the hardest to perfect so it's gonna be a little over more often than not. The Staff was attentive and friendly. Picked this place as a mid point for a team meeting and it was a hit! We arrived for an early dinner and were seated immediately as the place was fairly empty at that hour, but filled up while we were there. We shared orders of the Garlic Cheese bread (must order!) and the brussel sprouts. We each had different entrées, one the Cajun Chicken (note the sauce is VERY spicy, order it on the side to control the spice level); one the Lemon Pepper Chicken (juicy and nicely seasoned) and one the Black & Blue sirloin (Beautifully cooked and full of umami) . We each two sides, we all got mushrooms and only our second were different. Vegis were fresh and not over cooked. Mashed potatoes creamy but with some body. We all had adult beverages as well, a nice selection of wines are available and there is a full bar. Definitely recommend and would go back if in the area. read more

I recently visited this steakhouse and was genuinely impressed. The ambience is warm, upscale, and inviting perfect for a night out. The service was just as impressive, our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire menu and made great recommendations that did not disappoint. The location is prime and easy to find, though the only downside is the parking lot in the rear. It's quite small due to being near the train station, so arriving a little early is helpful. The food was absolutely delicious every dish was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The drinks were also amazing. You can tell the staff takes pride in what they serve. First time having dinner here and everything was so delicious. I ordered the Paloma to drink, it had a nice kick to it, we had sourdough rolls which were crispy outside and so soft inside, the potato soup was so good for a cool night and the salad crispy and loved the sunflower seeds. Our main dish orders were the lemon peppered chicken and the ribeye steak. Both were great. All staff that we encountered were friendly and very approachable. They worked together and they didn't say "let me get your server" like most places do. Seems like the front end of the restaurant is the bar area with bar stools and the back is the dining area. We sat in the dining area and the lights are dimmed at the perfect level. No too dark where you can't see your food but not to bright either. Overall great experience! read more

They got rid of the pool on top now so more seating for bigger parties the wait it was pretty long, but it was well worth it we had a few drinks while we waited. Decent steakhouse in downtown Fullerton. Their mozzarella sticks are to die for! They're perfectly coated and crispy. I ordered the ribeye & got mashed potatoes with gravy & mushrooms for my 2 sides. The ribeye was seared & cooked perfectly & the mushrooms are so tasty. We received really good customer service from our waitress, she was very attentive and friendly. We got seated in the back booths and it was pretty dark especially if you're dining at night. Only suggestion would be to put a little more lighting in the booths in the back. read more

Went on a Tuesday evening for a birthday dinner and it was busy for a Tuesday. The bartender and servers did a great job taking care of everyone. Food is incredible. I ordered an espresso martini and had to send it back. The worst espresso martini I've ever had. Didn't even have a hint of taste of coffee. Pure sugar and sweet. Stuck with water for the rest. We tried their Caesar salad and shrimp scampi with potatoes au gratin and spinach. The salad came out room temperature and usually they're served cold. The potatoes needed flavor. Lacking a bit of salt too. The spinach might've been the most flavorful part of the dish. Shrimp were not memorable at all. This last time we went was over this past weekend. We sat at the bar again. The bartender was accommodating but not the most friendliest. She seemed to give more attention to the regulars which didn't make us feel all that welcomed. While she was sort of attentive, she was nice enough to credit the fettuccine Alfredo I ordered. Let me tell you, the grilled chicken on that plate was amazing but the pasta sauce was so watered down. Not creamy at all. Very disappointing too as this was our anniversary dinner. This place is a great was great and not far from our hotel so we wanted to get a steak and vegetables. It is not much on the outside and even inside is not much to write home about. The only negative I have is the parking. There is none as it is in an area with a lot of other food choices. Our server Ashley was great. We were seated upstairs and she was a trouper carrying all the food up there. I had the 16oz ribeye and the wife had the 8 oz sirloin. She likes her steak burnt as a sacrifice to the meat goods so if that is your style then have them butterfly it as they are quite thick. I had the 16oz ribeye. Both came out perfect. We're happy to have landed 2 spots at the bar top; the retro dark wood furnishings within this old building create a casual-&-comfortable, inviting atmosphere. Initially, we detected a scent in the air -- perhaps, old wood -- which became unnoticeable. Service was pleasant and attentive. While I try to limit my consumption of breads, I couldn't resist ordering their "fresh baked to a golden brown" sourdough rolls -- glad I did: served hot, with a good, crunchy crust, and nice density on the interior (which the butter complemented). Hubby ordered the 16 oz. New York steak between rare and medium rare, with a preference more on the rare side; it was explained that there's no "in between" as it (understandably) gets confusing and that the Chef knows that to do; our thoughts were that their "medium rare" (for both our steaks) was more "medium" (my cross-section picture appears pinker than actual); hubby preferred the flavor of my Top Sirloin (which he stated he'll order next time). The entrees come with an option for soup or salad AND 2 sides (just like the good ol' days); tasty side salads and a delightful 11 options for side dishes with impressively generous portions! Came here to celebrate a birthday. No reservations accepted unless you're a party of 10 or more so we waited about 45 min, not too bad. The service was top notch. Our waitress was on top of anything we needed, and we greatly appreciated that. The reason for the lower rating is for the quality of the food. We ordered quite a bit (as we usually do) and very few items stood out as must haves. Our food lacked seasoning, I think a hint more salt on the steaks could have gone a long way. Our steaks were also not cooked properly, one of our party members is pregnant so she didn't want her steak too rare. We didn't want to risk it getting overcooked so she ate the ends only. We didn't prefer the sautéed mushrooms, as they seemed more boiled than sautéed. Slightly disappointing when the bill is $300 plus. We ordered coffees with our desserts and they came to us Luke warm so we had to send those back. Nothing too terrible, just not what you expect for what you're paying. Squaw Bread- this is definitely a must have Cornbread- good but wouldn't say anything special Calamari- a bit chewy Brussels- very tasty, we would come back for these Cajun shrimp- very tasty sauce Sea bass- lacked salt throughout the entire dish Desserts- nothing special, could have had better elsewhere. Not sure what happened to the bald manager dude Dennis but he use to be nice and friendly and now he is just rude and condescending every single time. We recently had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday on 2/8/25 and I can honestly say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. they really did a great job at making me feel special. They don't take reservations but they do have a waitlist on Yelp which is nice. We arrived as soon as they opened and got seated right away. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The steak was absolutely fantastic, cooked to perfection and tender. The flavors were rich and we all enjoyed every bite. We ordered: Ribeye Filet mignon Fried calamari Stuffed mushrooms Our dishes came with 2 sides so we tried their baked potatoe and rice pilaf. We also tried their potato soup and that was also very tasty. The service was exceptional, with the staff being attentive and friendly throughout the meal. I believe our hostess was Andi and she gave top notch service. They are located at Fullerton, ample parking available in a really nice area. We can always count on Stubriks steakhouse to satisfy everyone. So we happily decided on Christmas Eve to walk on over and see if they had a table available or a place at the bar. We were seated immediately, everything was wonderful as always and Dennis was himself! He does a fantastic job and has been there since the day they opened. We began with the brussels sprouts and the spicy shrimp appetizers along with the delectable cheese bread. They were all so delicious. Everyone was drinking something different, but everybody was pleasantly surprised and happy with their cocktails. I was able to catch pictures of three of the entrées, but everything else was gobbled up so fast and I was hungry and forgot lol After cocktails, cheesebread, appetizers, and our amazing entrées, we were pleasantly stuffed and happy on our walk home and we will definitely keep coming back for the wonderful food and service! read more

I only rate 5 stars if everything is perfect. - Calamari: $17 - Breading wasn't as crunchy as I prefer, however, the portion was enough for 2-3 people to enjoy as an appetizer. The price is a little steep in my opinion compared to other calamari appetizers that I have had. - 16oz Ribeye: $53 - My cut had a lot of fat in it, more than the average Ribeye steaks that I have had, but it was cooked to medium rare as I requested, and had a good flavor and tenderness to it. I got mashed potatoes with gravy and sautéed mushrooms as my sides, and instead of getting the complimentary salad, I got the house soup which was the highlight of my dinner. The mashed potatoes were bland, and even the gravy wasn't very flavorful, however the sautéed mushrooms came as a nice portion and were very flavorful. Again, similar to the calamari, I think the price is a little steep for the overall quality of the dish. I recommend ordering their sourdough bread in conjunction with the soup, it's a very good combo. - Summary: I came here on a Friday evening with a party of 4, we did not have to wait long to be seated and the service was great. The booth tables have a nice intimate vibe to them as compared to the open area seating. Overall, I think the pricing on their products is a little steep from my experience, however, this is not a bad place to have a nice dinner, and the restaurant is near a lot of bars in downtown Fullerton so if you ever have to wait a while to be seated, you can easily walk over to a bar and have a drink or two before your dinner to pass the time. I will probably come here again for a dinner in the future, I like the location of the restaurant, however, I will stay away from the ribeye simply because I feel like the overall dish was a little underwhelming for me compared to other ribeyes from other steakhouses, so I would like to try some of the other dishes that they have. read more

Had a wonderful dinner last night! The service was excellent, our server was so sweet and accommodating! We started with the crab stuffed mushrooms, which were delicious! And our server even asked if we wanted our dinner right away, or to wait until after our appetizer. We asked to have some time with the appetizer, and she timed it perfect! When we were about halfway done she brought out our soup and salad. I had a Cesar salad which was excellent, and my husband had the broccoli cheddar potato with bacon soup. Both were delicious! For our entrees I had the salmon which was cooked perfectly, with rice pilaf and sautéed spinach. The rice was a little bland, but I mixed it in with the lemon salmon sauce and it made it really tasty! The spinach was delicious and they gave me sooooo much! My husband had to help finish my sides! He had the petite Filet, it comes bacon wrapped and I tried some and it just melted in my mouth! He also had the asparagus which were lacking a little seasoning, and the potato au gratin which were excellent! It is a little pricey, but the food was excellent! I recommend getting there early and asking for a booth if there are any available for a more private experience, otherwise you will be sat in the bar and it gets very loud and crowded! And I've got to hand it to your marketing strategy: no happy hour, just so you don't "compete" with everyone else in the area. Well congratulations, you're not. By your own logic, then why even bother with a late-night happy hour then? Oh, that's right. Because you are competing with everyone else in the area, and shocker, it does work. I don't actually care if you run a traditional happy hour or not. I'm not the one with an empty bar until 6pm. In the meantime, I'll be supporting literally every other restaurant in DTF that are actually competing for business, and not overpaying as much as $6 per drink in your empty bar. Stopped in for Happy Hour. Bartender tells me they stopped doing Happy Hour because, "It didn't work." Not really sure what that means. But it does explain why I'm the only person in the place. There are about 2 dozen places next to this restaurant who do have a Happy Hour, and it appears to be working just fine for them. Take a marketing class. Why would I sit there and get clubbed over the head for $13 for a glass if wine when I can walk over to Mulberry Street and get it for $7. Nice place, but figure it out already. read more

The steak fries were perfect and we got this meat off the appetizers which was delicious and slightly hot but not too hot that you couldn't eat more. We also got sourdough bread buns which was also fresh, warm and delicious. The only not extravagantly amazing part was the chocolate cake for us. And that is only because it was not what i was expecting. I was thinking of a fudge-y chocolate cake but this chocolate cake had a mousse in between the layers which was okay.
