Our first time here, we did some research before arriving. I was kind of disappointed that they no longer have the sushi rolls. The lady who greeted me told me the asada roll was her favorite. Upon entering the vibe was fun. They had music bumping, multiple TV's where you can easily watch the game from whatever angle you are sitting. We missed happy hour but this seems like the perfect spot to be. I was greeted and helped right away. The lady who helped me was super nice and provided me with great recommendations. Sadly, my order was for take out.. as fun as the vibe was, we were exhausted from the long drive. I ordered: 1. Gobernador crispy shrimp taco: This was a great recommendation. No skimp on shrimp here. For some reason, I thought it was battered shrimp from the name. To my surprise it wasn't but it was delicious and flavorful. 2. Surf and turf taco: I've always been hesitant about this on a taco or burrito. It's purely me being weird, but to my surprise the combo works. I tasted both in every bite 3. Carne Asada Burrito: Sadly this was disappointing. Not sure if it was because it was cold already by the time we ate it, but it kind of fell apart with each bite. It low-key reminded us of a microwave burrito. 4. Chips and guac: A little steep I think for the amount of guac we got. I was also turned off by the fact that the guac had changed color to that gray. Like when you buy it at Chipotle and stick it in the fridge.. but this wasn't the case here. Chips were amazing and crunchy. You can tell this was made in house. 5. Stuffed churros: Didn't see the stuffing inside but it was crunchy and fresh. 6. Ensenada fish taco: I added this after placing my order and I'm glad I did. The fish was light on the inside and crunchy on the outside. This was my favorite. Overall, it was a great experience and will dine in next time to get the full effect. Worst experience ever and place not even over crowded. We were seated but not given any menus until we asked for them. My date and I decided to check this place out since it was close to our hotel. The ambiance, music and vibes are great! The tequila selections were also a plus since they had additive free options. Our server was sweet and efficient but, our appetizer was a huge fail! The guacamole and chips we ordered were so mid and the guac was old and rotten. There wasn't any flavor and I decided to close out our tab. I can't imagine the food being decent if the guacamole was such a disappointment. Had the worst experience here. The music and vibes were good, but everything else was extremely disappointing. We waited over an hour and a half for our food, and when my enchiladas finally came out, the order was wrong. After waiting that long hungry and repeatedly asking about our food, the waitress took the plate back and then came back asking if I still wanted it or if I wanted it removed from the check since everyone else in my family had already finished eating. At that point, it honestly felt like they just wanted us to leave because they were closing. The only reason they finally offered to remake my food and remove it from the bill was because I asked to speak to a manager...but the manager never even came out. For a wait that long, the food was not worth it at all. Very disappointing experience overall. read more

Highly recommend this spot. Came here recently for a graduation dinner on a busy night due to the college graduations nearby. There were multiple large parties, our family reserved a spot and despite the crowd the staff handled the rush very well. The service was fast and organized and friendly the entire night. The food, drinks, and desserts all tasted great and the atmosphere and music was a perfect vibe. After leaving that night I checked the reviews prepared to leave my review and noticed a few exaggerated and unrealistic reviews from a large party who seemed to come in without reservation on an already busy night. So I just want to leave an honest review because the reviews from Chely A and Jazmine A don't reflect the experience many of us actually had that night. Their complaint about being rushed out near closing time especially makes no sense because the restaurant continued serving us and other tables well past the listed closing hour. This is my favorite bar to go to, and maybe one of my favorite spots in OC. I visited on a whim for the first time in September for my birthday and it was such a great experience; the bartenders are extremely sweet and friendly and it immediately felt as if I'd been a regular for months. I've been back a few times since then and the only reason I'm not there every week is that I don't live close enough. The friendly staff adds so much to the atmosphere and ultimately makes the entire experience so enjoyable. I'm pretty sensitive to the taste of alcohol and am a big fan of fruity, sweet drinks that do the trick but don't taste so strong at the same time (I'm just a girl). All of the drinks I've had here do are exactly that; they taste really good but also are decently strong enough to make you feel something. I haven't tried the food from here yet, but the portion sizes seem to be big from what I've seen. I highly recommend the strawberry margarita if you're looking for a sweet, yet strong drink. read more

This was our second visit to Juicyladas Cantina and we had another good experience. They are located in a strip mall near Cal State Fullerton with plenty of parking available. They have bar seating, table seating, half booths along the back wall, and what I assume is a VIP area in the front corner. There was hip hop music playing in the background and lots of TVs which had an NBA game on. We dined here on a Sunday evening and it got busier as the evening got later. I was in the mood for a margarita flight which I had during our last visit, but the flight on the menu is six varieties for $40 and I wasn't in the mood for that much alcohol. It would be nice if they had a four flavor flight for a little less. Instead I opted for the premium raspberry habanero margarita which was good. It wasn't too sweet or too boozy, and wasn't overly spicy even though it had habanero. Chips and salsa are not free but for $4 it was a good amount of chips and the salsa had a little heat that creeps up on you. I had the carne asada plate again which was very good. There is a good portion of thinly sliced carne asada which is seasoned well and lies on top of several slices of grilled cactus. There are also pickled onions, green onions, and corn tortillas to make a great variety of different flavored bites. The pico de gallo was good and has some spice thanks to the diced jalapeno. This plate also comes with a cheese enchilada which was good. The rice was a little bit on the dry side and the beans were real good despite a few chunks of whole beans. I rarely like the beans at Mexican restaurants but I actually ate all of these. She had the chicken taquitos which were good and came with picked onions on top in addition to pico de gallo, gauacamole, and sour cream. Our server Clarissa was great and seemed to be handling the whole restaurant by herself with ease. The restaurant is only a few blocks from my home so I'm sure we'll be back from time to time when we don't feel like driving far. read more

Was looking for a quick bite and this place popped up on my friend's recommendations! There wasn't a lot of people there since we went on a weekday at night, but that was better for us because service was quick! The server was really nice and made sure to check on us many times. I was super excited to try this place out! To finally have a mommy night out. My friend and I had a reservation at 6. It wasn't packed but there was guest. We were greeted by the nice lady in the front. She was a sweetheart. If I could rate her service it would be a 10/10. Other than that the place was disappointing. We got seated and the lady brought us water and menus she let us know our waitress would be with us shortly. We were patient because we understand customer service. But what we observed was that a walk in of two males got their items before we have even been helped. Every waitress passed by us didn't even acknowledge us. Amazingly surprised how delicious the food was. We came for the margaritas and ended up loving the variety of food and drinks too. You have to start with the Pork Belly Bites--they're super tasty and a perfect way to kick off dinner. The honey sauce that comes with gives it a nice touch. The Carne Asada plate is also a good pick. Great flavor and looks really good on the plate. I can't remember the name of the young lady who served us, but she was awesome! Don't let the name put you off. The aguachiles and pork belly were delicious. I also think their salsas had good flavors. I also enjoyed that they served mayo on the side of the aguachiles. I feel like the places I've been to don't do that. The Moscow mule was good, and it snuck up on me. I'm not usually a guacamole person because I'm not big on raw onion that can be hidden inside but this was good. Service was more casual during our visit. First and last time I'm coming here , the place was DEAD and yet we had really bad service ... food is overpriced with little to NO FLAVOR . We got the carne asada platter to share thinking it was going to be alot of food but omg the carne was as small as the slimy nopal they give you. The arroz and beans were COLD. Came here with a friend right before the kitchen closes and was still able to order. The sever was chill and she even suggested a few good hits on the menu. The inside of the spot is cool too. It was kinda empty when we came but when the dj is there I bet it's LIT! We had the premium margaritas ( pineapple and jalapeño) For apps : costa azul ( stuffed shrimp) definitely a good choice! The sauces that came with it was very tasty. Pork belly ( served with tortillas and some guacamole) cooked to perfection! Crispy and very tasty. The sauce with this is a little spicy but still worth it. For entrees: Chicken burrito ( was good nothing too crazy about it) Enchiladas with mole ( tasty!
