Not a Gal who writes reviews. They got some old broad with an attitude working nights here now. Not a fan. Offers geriatric speed service at best. How do you screw up a vodka grapefruit. It's two things sweetie. I can get a better cocktail from a sober living facility than out of her! I can hear her across the bar complaining and whining about all the other gals who work this joint. Lauren is the best bartender TJ's has had in a VERY LONG TIME! She's attentive, doesn't take crap from rude, bullying customers and should be promoted to manager! Great vibe, good bartenders that won't take crap from obnoxious patrons, and cheap booze. Excellent food a few nights a week from a third party vendor. However, pool has always been a big attractor. 3 tables (if in dire need of maintenance) and a crowd that's always up for a game. They recently doubled the price per game from 1 to 2 dollars. This place gets 5 stars for being exactly what it wants to be, a Dive Bar. I came here with a group of friends on a Saturday around 5pm. The place was dark, the people were friendly and there was a dog! We had a great time. They have three pool tables, a juke box and a full bar. A pool player needed one more on his team so he asked one of the guys in our group to join. I paid $7.50 for a bottle of Lagunitas. We were playing with songs and the bartender treated to pour our beers out because we like few songs we happened to catch her name . Don. We paid for our drinks and to treated customers like that in front of other customers. That not right. Then she insinuated that my friend and I were gay and "We should go find a Hotel and FUCK. This is a local dive bar that let's just say caters to the very bottom of the barrel. My major concern with this bar is that they serve alcohol to minors. Specifically 19 and 20. I have witnessed this firsthand on more than one occasion and have photos and videos to back it up. Multiple times I've even question the staff about who admitted that they know these individuals are under age and they don't mind as long as they don't cause a problem. This bar has no security and they do not anybody. I have reached out to this bar several times and cannot get anybody on the phone. It is extremely irresponsible for any establishment that sells liquor to sell to underage minors who will then be getting behind the wheel and taking to the street. I want the community to know about this and I hope the owner reads this message and wakes up to the irresponsible actions of his establishment and staff. You are endangering the community in which we live in. Shame on you! read more

Great place, amazing people, but the pool tables NEED ATTENTION BADLY , super sucks when you put money in and can't finish a game because the balls get stuck. The felt is horrific and the middle table the balls straight bounce off the rail/bouncer and messes up your shot. Why can't the owners care a little more and fix/service the tables. So many of us come in just to play pool but now I don't even want to play pool when I am here. Typical divey dive and it's quite comfortable feeling inside. I'm a dive bartender and I know what to expect from a place like this but even still the service was really lacking when I visited. Pale bartender with reddish brown long hair was working, didn't catch her name, I asked for a Pacifico with a tajin rim and they only had bottles so she poured a bottle in a glass, hands it to me. I paid, it was pretty cheap maybe 6$ , I give her 16$ and tell her to keep the change. Upon further inspection of the glass, it's cracked all the way down (not a small chip or anything). So I asked her for a new beer/glass. She takes it from me, goes to the complete opposite side of the bar in effort to hide that she just poured the same beer into a new glass, likely containing small pieces of glass, then comes back and hands it to me. I asked her if I could actually get a new beer as well so it went have any glass in it. She slams the glass infront of a regular and goes "he'll drink it", then begrudgingly pours a new beer into a new glass (which should have been done initially). No apology for originally serving me a busted up glass , nothing but attitude. Yikes read more

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. we have given it so many tries, but of course every time we go it's the same bartender (brown hair, glasses, tattoos) and TONY VEGA FROM PLACENTIA (he made sure to give us his name). every single time the female bartender treats us like a burden and tony gets drunk with all his friends while pretending to work. tonight, tony offered us the pool table he "paid for." he was clearly extremely drunk. he said we could use it "while he was working." the bartender didn't agree. she LOUDLY said "no. f-- them, don't let them use our f-ing pool table." they proceeded to play pool while ignoring patrons who needed drinks. the bartender treated us like a nuisance the entire time. she made fun of one person (a sober driver) for asking for water instead of alcohol. even when we would ask for alcohol, she would tend to all her friends before EVER acknowledging us. the entire time while taking care of her friends, she would pour herself shots of FIREBALL. as someone who works in the service industry, i have NEVER given a $0 tip, but this bar back/bartender duo absolutely deserved it. they were not only awful bartenders, but awful people. when they saw our $0 tip, they followed us into the parking lot and threatened to physically assault us. TONY VEGA FROM PLACENTIA made sure to state his name multiple times while his little bartender friend tried to hold him back. if they don't want bad tips they should give their patrons better service. read more

Everyone will make you feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed, even if you've pregamed before going in, they will kill your buzz and loose the urge to want to drink more. And if you do decide to take a chance with this place make sure to have exactly what you want to order in mind because the bartender will tell you off and go to take a smoke break if you don't, come back after a smoke break and tell you off again ! I'm sorry but if I'm going to pay to get drunk the last thing I want to do is inhale the stench of human feces the entire time. What bar has carpets as flooring? I'll tell you what one, ONE FROM THE 70's. I can't imagine how much barf, blood, and sweat these floors has seen. Could be why this places smells worse than a pound that hasn't been seen by humans in 3 months.
