Crispy Chicken Wings
Catherine C.

Very nice place, spacious and well lit. We ordered the sliders and the chicken wings along with the chili cheese fries. They were all good. The service was fine. The waitress was very friendly and nice. The beers were great. I got the summer breezy cocktail, which was decent not great. I guess the breezy part was it was too light. Didn't feel like there was any alcohol in it. Sure, we will come back

Although I didn't try the food. The vibe was awesome. Sally, there's no internet for me to use but I did like the glass so much I bought it. The staff was super helpful with any questions I had. Will definitely be coming back.

Weird set up. Outside seating, inside seating, a pool table in the corner, a sofa and two chairs in a cigar corner, a bar area along the front area. Some of the chairs had ripped cushions. There was a lot going on. They asked for a credit card to start a tab, which was a bit odd. The service was decent and staff kept coming by asking us were we okay. I guess I looked out of place. I ordered the chocolate cake and ice cream, but they ran out of ice cream... I then got the beignets- they were average. I will have to go back one more time and get some food to make an honest decision. So stay tuned....

My son and I were in Yorba Linda charging our car and looking for a spot to grab a bite. I'd heard mixed things about Lonewolf Brewing, but decided to give it a try. We went on a weekday around 4:30 PM; it wasn't too crowded and had a relaxed vibe. The menu looked great, and we both quickly settled on pizza--pepperoni and sausage for me, pepperoni for my son. Honestly, we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the pizzas were--fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. I'd also heard mixed reviews about the service here, and we weren't disappointed. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our meal feel welcoming and enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience. I'm glad we stopped in, and won't hesitate to come back!

I've been here several times and still love it! I'm happy to see spirits on the menu because I love my whiskey. It's a terrific place to catch a game and listen to throwback music. We had stellar service at the bar, and my steak sandwich was fantastic! Live musicians play on Fridays and Saturdays, and you can listen for a $5 cover charge. Visit the website for more details!

Water stout, with an after taste of bitter coffee

The beers brewed here was trash well at least that's what I received. Inside looks cool and roomy they have a pool table, fireplace live band for Saturday night, not too packed not too empty. Didn't get food, just a beer and was recommended a in-house stout by an older Australian employee? which was he nice but having trouble with the pay machine. He recommended a stout by the name of wolf something which tasted like water and bitter coffee after taste I couldn't even finish the beer and let him know it tasted flat no body no flavor just like drinking water he just nodded and walked away, I asked him for the bill and paid it and I left 2/3 of a beer on the table and left. Now the fact he dismissed my dislike for a stout that tasted like water and then pressed the 20 percent tip button when handing me the machine was so crazy to me. I didn't think too much of it cuz I was only in for one beer to check out the place but I was disappointed in the beer and employee. Perhaps they are doing bad and needed all they can get, but I would recommend a revamping on the brewing machine cuz ain't no way in my entire life have I ever tasted a trash stout like that on planet earth!!

A cheeseburger and fries from Lone Wolf Brewing. The food was mediocre, and as you can see here, the portions meager.

It has this dark but classy aesthetic and I was not prepared for that (in a good way). This restaurant has been here for about 2 years with different ownership and menu so I was excited to see what they had to offer. Hugo helped us with our order and he was very friendly and professional. We went ahead and ordered the ahi tuna taco, pork belly bao, garlic fries, the margharita pizza, the yuzu lobster pasta, and for drinks I got the virgin burning thyme. My friend got that and other drinks as well. Ahi tuna taco - 5/5 probably the best food item for the evening. The tuna was fresh, perfect amount of kick in its sauce, and the outter shell was perfectly crunchy. I think them replacing the shell with wonton was exceptional with the texture. Every bite was extremely satisfying. Pork Belly bao - 4/5 everything was delicious. The bow itself is bouncy and moist. There wasn't anything special about the sauce inside with the pork belly, but I would definitely give it a try at least once. A great portion with your friends or family as an appetizer. Garlic fries - 3/5 It was a bit underwhelming, but nothing horrible. I could not taste the garlic at all, but the fries itself was cooked to perfection with the outer being pretty crispy and inside being soft. Margharita pizza - 4/5 I really like the crust and the breading of this pizza. It was crispy and the pepperoni was cooked to perfection. I really like the small pepperoni because it gives an immense amount of flavor in each bite. The cheese and the tomato sauce was fine, but nothing special. Yuzu lobster pasta - 4/5 I wish I was able to taste more of the Yuzu since that's in the name of the dish, but I could not. If it was just called the lobster pasta I would say it's amazing. The tomatoes were perfect to lighten the entire dish with the heavy sauce and the pasta. The lobster was cooked fine. Other than that it was fine, but I would say either enhance the Yuzu flavor or remove it in the name of the dish. Burning thyme - 4.5/5 I really like the acid and the balance of sweetness and sour in this drink. Usually, I get skeptical when I make an alcoholic drink version because the bartender tends to over sweeten the drink, but this was not the case, and I enjoyed it a lot with our food.

After arriving to 46, we were able to sample 4 different specialty drinks and choose one of them. And seated at our table. If you're a party less than 4. You will be joined with another party. Initially, it may feel awkward however after the icebreaker. It works! They have a nice food menus. The dates and burger were delicious! Besides the speciality drinks they also have a full bar so I opted for a regular old fashioned and it was delish! Since the speakeasy can hold a max of 16 ppl, service was superb and attentive. Pricing was reasonable for what it is. Note: service charge (tip) is included. I wish they would have told me. It was dark and I didn't have my glasses. Also after 2 drinks.... I added another 20% on top of that. I didn't even notice until I got home. But what is done is done. Would I return? yes! We enjoyed it so much. When making reservations a $25 deposit is required per person but will be applied to your bill day of visit. The hostess was very kind upon check in and took us to the back where the 46 door is. She provided us a code and explained the time limit along with house rules. We were then told to knock on the door and proceed with the experience. Kudos to the owner as this is the only speakeasy in the OC that has a true speakeasy feel entrance. They had a gentleman open the peephole and ask for the entry code. Once we said the code we entered a really cool mine shaft area. The attention to detail was on point and I was impressed! We were then taken upstairs to a private bar where there are four tables of four so a max of 16. This makes sense as to why reservations are hard to come by. The only ding about seating is you are sat with strangers it is not a private table. Luckily we had a fun older couple at our table so it made the conversation more lively. Otherwise don't go here with an expectation of an intimate/ private date night. They also offer a limited food menu but looked very promising. However, we were here for a night cap so just dabbled in drinks. The bartender had a seasonal menu of 4 cocktails he created. He explained the drinks and then had us try each one with a straw. We then placed our order based on what we liked. He did say if we were not a fan he could create us our own personal cocktail as well. The old fashion he created was phenomenal! Overall, a cool little spot in the OC. Do wish they were open later as they do close at 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

We attended a special Chartreuse tasting event at Strong Water which was being held in honor of…read moreChartreuse week and Chartreuse Day 1605 (May 16), the annual celebration of Chartreuse's origins and history. The tasting featured a great lineup of green and yellow Chartreuse paired with small bites. It concluded with a complementary Chartreuse-based cocktail from one of five recipes. Brand ambassador Taylor guided the event and began by telling us about the unique history of Chartreuse. The tasting started out with a small spoonful of Vegetal Elixir Chartreuse to warm up the palate. This is the base spirit of both green and yellow Chartreuse and clocks in at 138 proof. It was surprisingly not harsh, but immediately kicked my salivary glands into overdrive. I didn't even know that vintages of Chartreuse was a thing, but Taylor walked us through tasting three different vintages of both yellow and green Chartreuse, and it was surprising how different they were. The lineup concluded with more rare varietals of the green elixir 1605 and yellow cuvee. Great job, thanks Taylor! Chef Kling presented each small bite which included a crispy Icelandic cod, a roasted beet crostino, and a lamb slider. All of them had a five star list of ingredients and were delicious. Strong Water is known for their excellent cocktails, but their food is also great. For my cocktail at the end of the event, I had the Bar Flower (Green Chartreuse, Crème de Cacao, Pineapple, Lime). This was so good, with the herbal and chocolate flavors perfectly balanced. It was served with a flaming lime half. This was such a great event! Chartreuse retails for around $100 a bottle, and the higher-end varieties cost even more. At just $45 per person, this event was an amazing bargain. Strong Water frequently hosts great events, so keep an eye on their social media for upcoming dates. I really love Chartreuse, so I went back a few days later on the last day of Chartreuse week to try a few of the other limited time cocktails. I started out with their twist on a Grasshopper (Chartreuse, Crème de Menthe, Chili Liqueur, Crème de Cacao, Cream, Cane, $22). This was a great classic Grasshopper, but the Chartreuse added a herbal complexity, and there is a dash of heat on the finish from the chili liqueur. Next I had the Flare Gun (Yellow Chartreuse, Overproof Rum, Italian Bitter, Lime, Cane, $20). The yellow Chartreuse definitely comes through, but it's softer and has a light sweetness, unlike the green variety. Even though it contains overproof rum, it is perfectly balanced and not boozy at all. I usually don't like bitter drinks, but the bitterness was at a perfect light level. I finished off with the Tales from the Black Lagoon which is my favorite drink here, and it's also a favorite of many of the bartenders. All three cocktails were a home run. Chartreuse is an expensive spirit, so those drinks cost a little more than average. Shout out to Karen, Joey, Edgar, Jordan, and Ying for excellent hospitality, as always. Strong Water is our favorite place. We can't wait to go back!

The tuna poke, blue fin on crispy coconut rice, and the falafel were all great. The tuna poke was probably the favorite as it came with a delicious slaw that was perfectly dressed, with some siracha and avocade crema for dipping. I had the "Billionaire's Bacon Wedge Salad" which was a great start -- it was delicious -- my bacon was "borrowed" by every person at the table. For entrees, we had the skirt steak, jidori chicken tacos, ora king salmon, and the chicken romano. All were great -- with the crusted mashed potatoes another highlight. Our server Steph also did a great job -- which was great to see as service had been an issue on previous visits years ago. I'm very glad to see a local family doing well with this great neighborhood spot that is serving up really quality food, great communal food energy, and what was a great looking wine list (Dry January prevented me from imbibing). We look forward to coming back and trying some of Chef's creations (Camel Chili !?!?!)!
