Took a walk down the tracks at Brea and decided to stop and try Treehouse bar and grill at the golf course. My one year old and I enjoyed the view of the golf course from the patio and enjoyed lunch in the nice weather. The flatbread pepperoni pizza was great. We will definitely be making this a new lunch spot to try more or their foods. My only complaint would be no one acknowledged us until I asked where I order. After that it was great. read more

I met my date for lunch at the Treehouse. Loriel was very attentive and asked if I wanted something to drink. I was tempted to order a cocktail or beer but I decided to wait. I also had signed up for their discount program which offers a discount on golf food and beverage. I had the BBQ burger and onion rings and my companion had the fish tacos. The taco tray was loaded with three fish tacos on a white soft corn tortilla. I was lucky enough to be offered the last taco. The battered fish was great as well as the pico de gallo. Very tasty. My burger and onion rings were fantastic as well. I'd order either of them again. Next time I'll have a cocktail or a craft beer with my food. After my date took off, I came back to hit a large bucket ($14) at the range. With membership, it was 50% off, down to $7. The mats looked fairly new and the range balls were a mix of old and new golf balls. They also pipe in classic rock over their speaker system which was great. The Brea annual membership is $100 but I think I can recoup that in no time. The renewal is $80. So year two of the membership would be well worth it. Don't forget to check in on Yelp, 10% discount was offered on the check in deal. read more

Just bought a house in the neighborhood so I was a little anxious coming here. Carrie Ann was so nice and professional. She was very attentive and always checked in on me. Will definitely come again. Drinks were great and food was delicious. Don't hesitate to come check it out I won't. read more

This cozy little spot snuggle within the Birch Hills Golf Course was a pleasant surprise. We decided to visit on a Taco Tuesday and participate in King Trivia Night. The tacos were so good that we ended up getting another order. The red sauce was the bomb and usually only a fan of green. Inside there is limited seating but they also have patio seating available. Surprise! Another 5-star, Taco Tuesday, evening, at Treehouse! This time we had a server by the name of Jackie! WOW! She is a valuable asset. We had a group of 4 out back by the fire pit. She was often checking on us before taco plates were emptied and beer glasses had gone dry. She remembered all of our orders correctly and who ordered them. Please keep her scheduled on Tuesdays! So I have written positive reviews BUT not today...I called to place an order to go. The female who answered and rudely said "I already got your order" and hung up. I called again and asked to place an order and the same female hung up on me again. I called a third time and once again I was hung up on. Ate here for the first time today with my daughter & grand daughters. A beautiful day to enjoy the outside seating. We ordered pulled pork nachos to start with; absolutely delicious. Lunch was cheeseburgers for all. Delicious burgers, looked hand-formed rather than pre-formed patties. Thick, juicy, everything you want in a burger! Awesome bar! A co worker reccomended this bar to me, as she knows I love live music. We ate here last night and heard the Hills Trio Band for the summer concert series. The bar has a beautiful open feel and the prices are great, given that this is at a golf course. The happy hour prices were top notch, I had one rum and soda water, and one glass of Mondavi cab. After happy hour, the Mondavi is only $5, soooo I had a few more glasses. The place gets packed, so I reccomend arriving at least 30 min before the band starts to get good seating. The crowd is older, id say 50 and up. However, my husband and I are in our 30s and 40s and consider ourselves old souls. We loved the vibe and the music. I ordered the hot dog with fruit. Very delicious and served on a pretzel bun. My husband ordered the cheeseburger with fries, and that meal was also delicious. We also split a cheese quesadilla appetizer, because we are big fans of ortega chilies. The quesadilla is loaded with plenty of yummy chilies. Overall, we can't wait to go back. We stopped in here between soccer games down the road because it was close to the field and the only place open early. It's been recently renovated and there are still some areas around the course under construction but the restaurant and bar appeared complete. We sat on the couches inside in the morning when it was cold and outside for lunch. Pretty good menu with everything you'd expect at a decent price. Good beer selection on tap with plenty of cans to choose from if you're golfing. Service was a little slow when bigger groups came in at the same time but everyone was nice and all was good. read more

Use to be a fun place to hear local bands and hang out with your neighbors. Tree house caved in on some neighbors complaints about noise. Same neighbors that complained about the laughter of children at our new Sports Park. I had to remind them that a few miles from Brea residence were living with the sound of gun fire every night. The treehouse is an awesome addition to Birch Hills golf course. The atmosphere is really great. The service is awesome and the food is delicious. I would highly recommend that you stop in there for breakfast. All of the servers and especially the head chef Leo will really take care of you. Love this place! Every day of the week they offer something fun in the bar. Live music too! You really can't beat this place and the prices are amazing. The best part for me is that they really love dogs. read more

First of all let me say that Birch Hills has a nice range and The Treehouse has a very cool outdoor scene with fire pits and games for the kids. On the other hand the restaurant has yet to find it's center as the menu keeps changing and dropping popular items like the calamari and shrimp appetizers and cannot seem to keep the bar stocked with the basics like margarita salt and Grand Marnier. In a nutshell this could be a cool place to hang out with more attention to detail by the management. read more

This bar & grill is in a great location and on the golf course. The food and service here are both okay, not great but they don't suck either. They lack attention to detail ( they brought my dinner on a dirty plate !) and I would not describe the service as attentive. Karaoke on Fridays with Roxie is always fun. read more

Love this place. Not you're typical 19th hole at a golf course. This place has great food and also opens at 7am which makes it the earliest opening bar in Brea! Usually the draft beer selection is good and they have plenty of good canned craft beer. This place also has live music on the weekend and it's become a pretty happening place to go! Just moved into town and first time enjoying Birch Golf club nightlife. What a fun night! Food was so good. We always look forward to getting a drink or meal at the treehouse after a round of golf. The food never disappoints. Good prices, good quality and interesting menu choices. Not typical bar food. People there are super nice and helpful. Only complaint is they need more help, that's why they lost a star.. Too often there is only one person to check in golfers, take food or drink orders, AND serve too. It can get backed up fast. But , if your not in a hurry, great place to hang out. read more

This place is great! We love Saturday Night Band Night! We LOVE when Octane plays! Great variety of rock music! The staff is friendly but I feel bad for them some nights when they could use more help. The food is yummy. I love the burgers...super juicy and flavorful. My hubby loves the wrap. Their menu changes which is nice but they do keep these favorites. We used to like the burrito, tacos, and fried Mac N Cheese when they served it. Miss the Mac N Cheese the most. We have had several of the other appetizers and entres. Our favorite is the green beans appetizer (although the portion has gotten much smaller.) The green beans are always fried perfectly and the aoli they serve with it is perfect! The atmosphere is great! You're surrounded by the beauty of the golf course and the Treehouse has indoor and outdoor seating. Some tables outdoor have these beautiful fire pits. You can play gigantic Janga and Connect Four! I usually come in and have a good time as this is one of my favorite places to eat and grab a drink. I would've given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the bartender. I think her name was Brittany. She messed up my drink was standoffish and seemed to be in a bad mood when I corrected her which I didn't understand since you're supposed to be professional even if you're in a bad mood but whatever. I'll give this place one more chance but I think there needs to be a change in attitude with the staff there. read more

I just have to say I have never been here before and Chef Mike made the most amazing chicken quesadilla I've ever had within minutes. I was in a rush and he made it happen I would highly recommend coming to the treehouse with Mike the chef is back there working. read more

We really loved the atmosphere and music of Treehouse. Their rotating beer menu is a win for us, and since they're within walking distance we'll be there often. The only issue we had was the fact that they didn't have high chairs. If you advertise as family friendly that seems like something you should have. Thanks! read more

This place is great for happy hour with specials almost every day. Awesome food, service and ambience. They also have cool bands playing some Fridays and Saturdays and open mic nights during the week. All around nice spot to meet up. read more

I regularly go on Friday nights for the karaoke and unlike many of the dive bars in the area that feature it, the Treehouse isn't filled with drunks playing pool and is family friendly. The food is pretty good too and is quite reasonable. The staff that works there are friendly and efficient although you may have to wait awhile if there is a golf tournament going on. read more
