This is by far is the saddest serving of menudo I've seen in my life. And for the price that was paid it wasn't even that good. Ridiculous. Sorry never coming back here.

It's been ages since I've been here, but I met up with friends recently and wanted to write a review. I've always felt the layout feels awkward and they've fixed that issue by putting a host station right where you walk in from the parking lot, not the door at the street. The menu is much larger than I remembered. I ordered the tostada salad with carnitas and it was plenty of food. The carnitas were flavorful and the lettuce was nice & crisp. My friends both were happy with their orders as well. The service was friendly and everything came out of the kitchen fast. Next time I'm in the area and it's lunch or dinner I'll pop in again.

I LOVE this place and every time I come to Brea I stop in for great food and drinks. The restaurant is family-owned and has a dedicated parking lot that does get full, but there is always street parking as backup. The chips and salsa...omg, YES!!! I love that they bring two salsas, one hot and one medium, without asking. I ordered the wet chili verde and was not disappointed. I also ordered a skinny margarita, which was, again delicious. It's a casual local restaurant that you will love.

Cabo Grill & Cantina is truly a gem in our community! This local, family-run restaurant feels like your neighborhood cheering section the moment you walk through the door. The service and staff are always amazing--warm, welcoming, and they treat you like family. The food is traditional, comforting, and always hits the spot. The Cantina has such a friendly, inviting vibe, it really feels like the kind of place where everybody knows your name. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and even better people--Cabo is the heart of the neighborhood!

Small corner bar and restaurant. The bar is cozy. The lights were off and the fans were going- it felt good. I had chips, salsa and a shredded chicken burrito. It was decent, with beans and chicken and cheese. The black beans came in a little bowl and they were good. I sat in the bar and Jenn, the bartender provided great service. She checked on me every so often and kept my iced tea full. I will return to try taco Tuesday or a cocktail next time.

Still loving this place. 10 service and food. I wish it was closer to my house, I'd go more often. We find a new dish every time we go.

This is a chill little Mexican restaurant and bar. I'm happy we tried it out! The servers were friendly and warm and the food was pretty good! I ordered the carne asada fajitas and they were flavorful and was a decent amount of food. My husband had the enchiladas rancheras and was satisfied with those. We'll definitely be back soon this place passes the vibe check

Walked in and was not greeted as I had to ask for service at 8:30 onTaco Tuesday . Taco Tuesday, Too Expensive. 3 Tacos $5.99 which is decent price but they require you to buy a drink which a soda will cost you $5.00 . RIP OFF !!! I would think a soda for $2.50 or maybe $3.00 but $5 really??? All white meat chicken which I appreciate but didn't have any taste and was pretty dry. You got my money plus a tip that day but not in the future. Might as well just buy tacos at regular price I guess . 1 because the building was standing.

It's time to unleash your taste buds and salsa your way to a flavor fiesta! Start off with a couple of their fabulous margaritas, like the crowd-favorite Herradura Mango and the refreshing Watermelon! And, let's not forget their chips and dip. Our favorite was the guacamole salsa, which is creamy, tangy and oh-so-addictive!! Now, let's talk cheesy! A Queso Fundido that is so cheesy, you can't resist the mesmerizing cheese pull! It's a symphony of gooey melted cheesy mixed with flavorful chorizo. Each bite is heavenly!! Oh, and brace yourself for the grand entrance of the sizzling Carne Asada Fajitas in a cast iron pan. These tender and juicy strips of marinated steak, mixed with the crisp bell peppers and onions smells amazing!! They taste just as good as they look!! And, who can forget the buffalo wings?! Tender bites with a kick of heat, which is even better dipped in their fabulous ranch dip! All of these are a combo of flavor and spice that will leave you wanting more! Thank you Carlos for sharing what makes your restaurant special in the city of Brea!! I also have to give a shout out to Bethany for her friendly & excellent customer service!

I have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants but was pleasantly surprised that this place serves one of the best fajitas and seafood enchiladas. I can only compare this to other SoCal Mexican restaurants since I have not eaten in Mexico or South America. That being said, I really enjoyed my experience at Cabo and will definitely come back here again next time. This is a great place to chill after work and take advantage of their happy hour. The restaurant itself is quite big and can accommodate large parties. It is worth driving out of your way just to come here because their food is super flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend!!

I ordered the pork carnitas ($18), which included pico de gallo, rice, refried beans with melted cheese, and three warm tortillas. The portion size was large, and I took a some carnitas home. While the carnitas were tender, they weren't as juicy as I hoped. They provided only three tortillas that lost their warmth quickly in parchment paper. The rice had a good texture that had the right amount of firmness. I also tried the guacamole, which had a somewhat fluffy texture with a pleasantly light and savory flavor. While not affecting my review of this restaurant, I wish they served a mole dish.

My fiancé decided on the house margarita and said it was delicious. Even though it was a "small" (they also come in "large") it was a very reasonably sized marg. She said it was pretty strong, so props for that haha. We stuck to the appetizer menu and went with a steak quesadilla and a shrimp ceviche. The Quesadilla was amazing: tons of queso, poblano chilis, and the steak was so juicy. You could really taste every ingredient in this thing. If we go back, I would definitely order it again. The ceviche was my fiancé's favorite, tasty shrimp, peppers, and avocado in a bomb orange/lime juice. I had to stop her from straight up slurping it up like a soup. She was a big fan, and she orders ceviche often. This was our first visit to Cha Cha's and we really enjoyed it. We've seen it a bunch of times while in downtown Brea, so we thought we'd give it a try, and I guess we've been missing out! The ambience was nice: not too loud, strong drinks, long menu, friendly staff, sports on the tv, and I was shocked when I saw the bill, very reasonably priced. We'll be back, for sure!

The FOOD: 4.5/5 | Drinks: 5/5 Off the appetizers, we had the pork belly bites and dirty fries! First dish came with a long hot pepper, several mini tortillas, and 2 dipping sauces. The pork was crunchy on the outside and soft+succulent on the inside. I can see myself doubling up on this appetizer the next time I come. Dirty fries were great; it came with a generous amount of pickled onions - providing a really nice contrast to the savoriness of our meal. Our waiter graciously accommodated our request to have the egg on the side. Off the entrée/taco menu, my friend ordered the Korean tacos and I got the Ensenada (fish) tacos. But you can also order the Ensenada tacos with shrimp. These were delicious, I would have loved a little more lime crema to go with the fish - but not a big deal. I got a Watermelon Margarita. When we arrived for our 6:00 PM reservation, the hostess let us know it would be about a 10-minute wait and while we understand that holidays can be busy, we had made a reservation specifically to avoid waiting. Shortly after, we and a few other parties were asked to sit at the bar with no additional context as to why we were waiting. We were offered complimentary champagne, which was a thoughtful gesture and definitely appreciated, but we were on a tight schedule as we were set to catch a movie afterward so we just wanted to be sat. Once we were finally seated, we overheard that someone had vomited and our table happened to be right next to that area, which was quite off-putting. During service, my friend and I also noticed the staff seemed very overwhelmed--servers were discussing table confusion and food routing confusion within earshot of our table, which made the experience feel a bit disorganized. This became especially apparent as we waited quite some time between getting our appetizer and our starter, which ended up reaching our table at the same time as our main course. For dessert, we ordered the butter cake, but the texture and flavor was more like cornbread so we put it off to the side. While we were waiting for our check, our server briefly placed another dessert at our table before realizing it belonged elsewhere and taking it away, which just added to the overall sense of disorganization. My friend and I truly don't mind spending $200+ for a great dining experience, but our total came to about $250 and, unfortunately, the food and service really didn't meet our expectations to the point where we ended up discarding most of our meal. For context, I've also visited the Tempo Cantina location across from the Brea Mall, and my friend has been to Tempo Geisha once previously. We decided to give it another try because the atmosphere and location are fantastic and very convenient for us. However, we were ultimately disappointed this time as well. I share this feedback in hopes it's helpful, not to bring the restaurant down. We genuinely love the concept and energy of the restaurant and hope to see improvements in service flow, communication, and food consistency in the future because we really would love to come back and have a great experience!
