Oct 7, is not just a regular Taco Tuesday - It's National Taco Tuesday! Of course I have to get my some tacos to celebrate the day. Happy National Taco Tuesday! I stopped by Taqueria DeAnda on Imperial Hwy, Brea, CA on the way to my PT job. Their tacos are the street style tacos, double soft tortillas with the protein options. I ordered my favorite tacos which are the same options such as Chicken, Carnitas and Al Pastor with cilantro and light on the onions. The tacos prices are amazing only 2.49 each. The have great options of tacos and burritos, with the traditional side of rice or beans. The salsa options are on point as well. They have a few drink options some in bottle Jaritos Pinnaple, Mandarin, Lime or Tamarind and of course Mexican Coca Cola. Also aguas frescas like Jamaica, Orchata and Tamarind. Their indoor dinning are is pretty big and while I was there they were really busy. Service was fast and friendly. Since Yelp is always asking if they have accessible parking well, they do is right in front door. They gave catering services as well. read more

Taquería de Anda is located in a shopping center off of Imperial Hwy and Kraemer. It's easy to locate and access and parking is plentiful. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. Decor is limited, really just consisting of the tables and chairs. Your food is prepared as it's ordered and condiments can be added to your liking. Pay for and get your food around the corner at the register. The employees are friendly and efficient. I ordered a taco de pollo and a taco de carnitas with cilantro and cebolla with green sauce on the side. Both were generously filled with protein, but the flavor just wasn't there. Although the carnitas were tender, they were bland. The pollo had more of a char flavor from the grill than actual seasoning flavor. The corn tortilla was the dominant flavor in both tacos. With so many taco places to choose from in the area, I'm not likely to return here. read more

My wife and I tried the Nachos with their green salsa and they hit the spot. Now keep in mind that although there is sitting it has a taqueria vibe. Service is good and welcoming. Drinks (hibiscus) were extremely sweet and had to mix it with water. I guess some people like it this sweet. read more

This is probably the worst al pastor I have ever had. I ordered an al pastor burrito that was $12 and the first bite I immediately spit out. The al pastor had big chunks of fat and gristle absolutely disgusting. Sure al pastor is fatty but if its cooked on a trompo it usually all renders into the meat. I doubt they cook it on a trompo and it's just sliced seasoned pork they cook on a griddle. They should just remove it from the menu it's gross. I tossed the burrito and went to stater bros and got a premade sandwich that was cheaper and much more satisfying. Maybe their other meats are better but either way Never coming back here. read more

It looks like this location has been here for the past three years but it's the first time ever seeing it. I used to frequent this are often for food in the past but not so much anymore. I've been to plenty of Taqueria De Anda locations and they're all pretty average all around. However, this location is different than the rest. I arrived on a Sunday in the early evening and I was second or third in line. I got lucky because there was a line of close to 10 people behind me. The guy working the main counter area was super efficient and very friendly. I got a variety of tacos including asada, pastor, and lengua. I've always been a fan of this franchise's lengua so I always get it even though they charge extra. Only one complaint with the pastor though because it was very salty. I love how they load up onions and cilantro upon request and salsa as well. The woman working the register was extremely efficient too. I got a total of 15 tacos and the lady gave me more than enough salsa, lemons, and napkins. This is definitely my favorite Taqueria De Anda location and will be back. read more

I had their burrito. That was a mistake. The meat of dubious quality was pile on one end, the remainder of the ingredients on the other. I've had a lot of burritos in my life. I've made even more burritos than I've eaten from my many years working in restaurants serving Mexican food. Rolling a burrito is a very basic skill than even beginners can do acceptably. There isn't much excuse one can truthfully contend for failure to perform this basic food preparation activity. I.E., rolling burritos is easy, and you have to be pretty bad at your job to mess that up. Yet these folks did. I'd say I was picking at nits if the rest of the burrito was commendable in some way. Like, if the ingredients were really tasty, or the burrito represented an excellent value, or the quality of the meat and other ingredients in side was really high, okay, I'll be flexible with the poor construction. None of these mitigating factors existed here. I just was not a very good burrito, it wasn't a decent value, and it wasn't prepared well. If a banana-carrying, big-eared gringo like myself can knock it out easily with easily pro-level perfection, certainly any average Mexican restaurant cook should be able to manage the task effectively. There are other Mexican restaurants than this one. This place is not worth revisiting. read more

Our normal go to de anda is the placentia one but since we were in Brea we decided to get lunch here thinking it would be the same thing. We noticed a big difference in our burrito the size.... It was a lot skinnier and only came with a small scoop of meat and they charged extra for carne asada meat... the tortilla was also dryer cause they heat it up using the heated press vs on the flat grill. The burritos weren't as tasty either the meats were bland, only the hot sauces tasted the same. However the service was excellent and the store seemed cleaner and in better location vs the Placentia store you feel like you're in TJ but they got way better food and fat tasty burritos. read more

Not only is the food delish but the service is great too. About 20 of us gathered here after a run. Not only were we thirsty, we were starving too. The staff took such great care of us. For a small store, they were able to accommodate all of us inside. We ordered platters of tacos and they were ready shortly after we all arrived. All the different tacos were labeled and set up for us, along with chips and salsa and drinks. We couldn't have asked for more. Of course, everyone loved the tacos too. We had asada, pastor, carnitas, pollo, lengua and cabeza. All of it was great (though I didn't personally try the lengua and cabeza). My favorites were the pastor and asada. 3.5 stars I've seen several Taqueria De Anda's open up around Orange County and wanted to give it a try. 5 tacos (price ranges depending on type of meat but around the ~$2.50 range per taco): Tried the al pastor, carnitas, and asada. The flavor of the meats were decent, nothing amazing but I am glad they didn't skimp on the meat portions. My favorite is always the al pastor. Tacos came with raw onions and cilantro on top and slices of lime wedges on the side. Carne Asada Burrito (~$8-$9): Steep price for a burrito compared to other Mexican eateries but we wanted to give it a try. The burrito unfortunately fell apart extremely easily once unwrapped which made it difficult to eat plus the tortillas were a little soggy. Burrito was also really rice heavy and not enough meat. Hit or miss depending on who's preparing the food. Came here the other day, ordered a bean cheese burrito. Was shocked by how it shrunk in size compared to other visits at this same shop. It went from a 1 pound burrito to a 1/4 lb burrito over night!!!! I told the lady at register immediately but she did nothing to solve the problem, she threw the blame on the cook. Taqueria De Anda is really good. I'm exited to have a legit Mexican food spot in the Brea area. I ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and 3 Al Pastor Tacos. The burrito was amazing and was packed full of rice, asada, onions, & cilantro. I choose not to get any beans. It was really filling and tasted great. The Al Pastor tacos were also really good. It was a bit messy since by the time I got back home they steamed up and got really soft but the taste was amazing. I was stuffed after eating this all. The absolute worst burrito I've ever had in my life! The tortilla is obviously a main part of a burrito and this was just a fail. When we opened our burritos they just crumbled not sure if these were expired, stale, or just bad quality but it just fell apart like chips. They also forgot to give me the taco I ordered. I've been going to Taqueria De Anda in various locations for years. So when I found out that there's going to be one near my house, I was so stoked! I ordered 2 asada burritos. One without beans. They were both smaller than what I'd normally get in any locations, but the one without beans was just pathetic. I cannot believe I paid $10 for such a sad burrito.
