    Carne Asada Fries

Walked around the whole block and this restaurant needed some love & customers! My partner and I were craving some carne asada fries and let me just say. These were DELICIOUS! Everyone was super friendly and the vibes were very well. Would def come again! Also prices are AWESOME!

I'm excited to try all of their soups!

I wanted to eat caldo de pollo so popped in with one of my kids on a weekday afternoon for lunch. The waitress, I think she said her name was Fatima, was so attentive and friendly. When she asked me if I wanted corn or flour tortillas, I didn't expect that my tortillas were going to be homemade! DELICIOUS! The broth was obviously homemade and it was sooo good! Some places leave their veggies so big that you need a knife to eat your soup and I get that's a normal thing. The veggies and chicken here were big, but not too big, and the chicken was so tender and flavorful! Of course, they brought out the onions, cilantro, rice, and limes with my bowl. The chips were okay, but the salsa was incredible. We also ordered taquitos and they were homemade and had a good amount of meat. I took a picture of their weekly specials because I was excited to see that there is a soup special every day. I'll be definitely returning on Wednesdays because the caldo de pollo was so good. Also, this is such a noticeably clean restaurant! There isn't a speck of dust anywhere; not even on the ceiling fans and artwork! You won't be sorry you visited!

Service is great and welcoming. Unfortunately, that can only go so far. I have tried the many Mexican Food places in Fullerton including their neighbor El Farlito. It's walking distance and preferred over this place. The salsa, which should add to the dish, only adds a weird taste. It tastes as if it had been left open in a refrigerator and taken on the many other smells that are in that refrigerator. Which it was! It was in a big container without a lid. 0/10 The beans, tasted rotten. Not like typical beans or how they should taste. 0/10 Crispy chicken taco, 7.5/10. Not bad, tasty but the lettuce was turning brown so did not taste well all together. I ended up taking the lettuce out and just ate the chicken and shell again without salsa... Rice is cooked well. Could have a little more flavor 6/10

Stop by and was craving tacos . This place hit the spot. I knew it was going to be great from the moment I had the chip and salsa. Salsa was fresh with the right amount of spice and it's refreshing to the palate. Tacos was great but the chile rellenos took me home . So comfy and good .

This place is AMAZING. I came here with a group of 4 people and we were treated so kindly by the waitress Fatima, not to mention the food is outstanding!! Taco Tuesday is 1.75 per taco, such a good deal. The micheladas are the best!!!! Thanks for everything.

Thursday night in Downtown Placentia 8:22pm. Place is a ghost town. Maybe it's because we're close to closing time at 9pm. Owner/cook is just chillin watching Swamp people on the TV. Ok. He greets us and says we can sit anywhere we like. We're greeted by the waitress, our order was taken and we were given some excellent salsa and chips. My wife and I order carne asada fries, 2 birria tacos, 2 tacos de pollo and one quesadilla. The portions on carne asada fries were huge! But the fries were dry and somewhat rubbery. Don't know if the fries were cooked long enough. Good flavor though. Quesadilla was a significant size, but lacked flavor. Yes, a quesadilla is just tortilla and cheese but it makes a difference on what type of cheese is used. The tacos, (birria) had good flavor profile and looked carefully manicured. Portions were a bit on the small side for the price. ($1.65 for the basic tortilla and $2.25 for hand made tortilla). I guess I'm just used to the normal overstuffed tacos with the meat, cilantro and onions hanging over the side of the tortilla. All in all it's fair. Maybe we need to come at a different time instead of 30-40 min before closing time. Wouldn't go out of my way to make it here, but if I'm in the area I might give it a try again.

Great Atmosphere, the Waitress here is very nice and loves to create conversations with you The Enchiladas were tasty with the beans and rice The Sauce on here was delicious and made the whole plate come together Definitely want to come here again and look around the Downtown area.

They have a good selection of American food, and I ordered chicken risotto ($24) from the "favorites" section of the menu. Portion sizes here are good, and we were very full after dinner. Service here was basic, and we got everything we needed. Friday night is also a peak time at Downtown Fullerton, so it was hard to find parking spot. However, the ambience here was relaxed. While the chicken risotto was pricy, I enjoyed the mixed flavors and large portion size. The flavor came from the caper-parmesan beurre blanc sauce. It's a slightly creamy butter sauce with mild sweetness and added flavor from white wine. The capers added a very welcome tangy and savory seasoning to the sauce; they're one of my favorite garnishes. The flavors from the breaded chicken and risotto weren't too strong. However, I would've liked the dish more with if they put less parmesan because I enjoyed the flavor from the beurre blanc sauce the most.

The first time, I came for the Monday night burger and beer special for $10.95 after 4pm. The burger was very good with a nice sized patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles on a wheat bun. The beer pour isn't just a glass, it's larger-sized schooner. Specialty beers on tap are an extra $2. The burger doesn't come with a side, but a tasty burger and a large beer for under $11 is a great deal. The following week, I came back for the Tuesday night BBQ special. Their BBQ chicken and ribs dinners are 30% off, and come with two sides and a fresh dinner roll. I got the full slab of ribs which was only $21 after discount. They definitely do not skimp on the ribs, as the plate came with two large half slabs stacked on top of each other. The ribs were cooked well, and the BBQ sauce had a good mix of tang and sweetness. I had coleslaw and fries for my sides. The other options for sides are Beckett's beans, potato salad, macaroni salad, and pasta salad. A half slab and the fries filled me up, and I took the other half and the coleslaw home. This is also a great deal for only $21. Other special days include Wednesday $3.50 schooner night from 5pm to 7pm, Friday night $10.95 fish taco plate, and Saturday and Sunday breakfast specials from 10am to noon.
