7 guisados plate

Real and I mean Real Mexican food! Guisados is what we eat in Mexican homes. There is a spot off the road on the way to Tonaya Jalisco México going from Guadalajara that I always stop and eat guisados. And this place reminded me of it. Here they can put the guisado that you want in a taco or plate( I recommend in a plate) I had the steak with papas and rajas con queso! Very good! My wife and daughter had the 7 guisados in small tacos and all were a 10! The salsa( for us is chile) was spicy like it's supposed to be! The tortillas were fresh and Hot (burned my hands) and perfect. We will definitely be back!

New place in town. I love that they make their own tortillas. That just gives the food extra flavor. The service didn't flow that well but it was descent. We tried the 2 guisados combo: chile colorado and chicharrón en salsa roja. Both were delicious and had great flavor. The rice was good but I didn't like the beans. The aguas frescas were delicious. We also tried the burritos and personally it was small and too soft. We went an hr before closing and it was too crowded.

Asada tacos

Carne asada tacos were soooo good the meat was so soft. It's hard to find asada that isn't dry so glad I found this place! Will definitely be back to try out the other meat options.

Cazuelas Taqueria has been open for only two weeks and I found them on Yelp the other day. I was sad to see Bread Breakers Deli go but I was also excited to see this new Taqueria open up! There are a lot of Mexican restaurants around but not many that sell this particular style around. As soon as I entered, the man working in the front immediately welcomed me in. He answered every question I had regarding what he recommended and what the best sellers were including the ingredients inside. Here's what I ordered: **Cochinita Pibil Taco: The man recommended this particular meat so I went with it. I loved the tangy flavor from the orange. The meat was so tender that it melted in my mouth. The addition of pickled onions gave it a great balance of flavor. Fresh lime juice plus some salsa gave it the perfect flavor. (5/5) **2 Guisados Combo (Bistec Ranchero Con Papa & Chile Verde): Both of the meats I went with were perfect. The meat was so tender and perfectly prepared. They both had so much flavor and wasn't salty at all. The beans were good and the rice was very light, yet very delicious. The handmade corn tortillas were spectacular. (5/5) **Jamaica: Not my favorite batch of Jamaica but still very refreshing. It was more sweet than tart but it still tasted very authentic. (4/5) The man offered to refill my Jamaica if I wanted to drink some while my food waited for no extra cost which is always nice. I opted to get one red and one green salsa. Both salsas had a nice kick of spice and were both very delicious! Very nice staff and good portions for what you pay. I hope this place stays longer than its predecessor because this place is worth your visit. I 100% recommend Cazuelas Taqueria and will be back again soon to try more!

This is the photo that's up we didn't get salsa or the chiles...

Food didn't really have much flavor. Expected a bigger seating area. I think it's expensive for the serving size of the tacos. Will not be coming back. Tried it and not happy.

Too wet and soggy

The food was soggy, the drinks had no ice, and the rice and beans were bland, at best. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you're looking for authentic, flavorful food.

When we walked in we were greeted with a hello. The worker explained the menu to us and was very helpful considering it was our first time. The restaurant is small but the food is delicious. Not your regular taco spot in Brea. Also the tortillas are made by hand YUMMY!!! I absolutely loved the cute plates the food was served on. The decor was cute the and the music was a nice touch. We will be back

Chips and guacamole & Bistec con papa guisado ( comes with rice and beans and tortillas)

You can easily miss this restaurant but it's a hidden gem! I was recommended to try this spot out and I am so glad I did. Ordered the chips and guacamole, bistec con papa guisado and one burrito with birria. Everything we ordered was fresh, and very flavorful! The staff at the register was so friendly and helped me out by making recommendations. Something I would note is it is small inside, limited seating inside and outside. Also, the burritos are small if you are looking for something more filling they do have 3 burritos for $20! I will definitely be returning!!

I really enjoyed Cazuelas Taqueria! I haven't had guisado style tacos in a very long time, and these hit the spot. I ordered the birria and cochinita pibil, both were packed with flavor! The highlight of the meal for me though were the homemade corn tortillas. These were spot on and some of the better tortillas I have tried. I also ordered a horchata, which was well balanced, not too sweet! The service was quick and friendly, highly recommend this spot!

If you're looking for guisados and delicious tacos, this is the place. I felt like I was having dinner at my mom's house. The food was delicious! They make their tortillas from scratch and they are delicious! The location is very small with only a few tables inside and outside. Nice and friendly staff. I will be back!

A must-try place if you want authentic Mexican guisados. Try the sampler to find your favorite dish. The service was fast and there was no wait.

We parked across the street near an intersection with a stop sign. Our table inside had a nice view of the Placentia Water Tower, and it felt somehow relaxing to gaze at it in the distance. I ordered the pork carnitas ($18), which included pico de gallo, rice, refried beans with melted cheese, and three warm tortillas. The portion size was large, and I took a some carnitas home. While the carnitas were tender, they weren't as juicy as I hoped. They provided only three tortillas that lost their warmth quickly in parchment paper. The rice had a good texture that had the right amount of firmness. I also tried the guacamole, which had a somewhat fluffy texture with a pleasantly light and savory flavor. While not affecting my review of this restaurant, I wish they served a mole dish.

Luckily, that finally changed and we caught them open! This is a true family-run business, and if you haven't tried it yet, you should. We ordered a 2-item combo with a cheese enchilada, shredded beef taco, rice, and beans, and it was amazing. We also got the chicken à la diabla, and I can honestly say I've never had an à la diabla sauce that good at a restaurant. Everything tasted homemade and so comforting that it felt like leaving a friend's house after a meal his mom made. The vibe was fun, the service was great, and we were lucky enough to have the son taking care of us, which made the experience even better. Thank you for an amazing meal and great conversation. We're looking forward to creating many more memories here. This is officially our go-to spot because, quite frankly, the food here is on another level.

The outside of the building is under construction (January 2026). The inside of the restaurant isn't fancy but very welcoming and lots of seating for its size. We didn't go to the back, but our waitress said there is an outdoor patio. The food was delicious and exactly what we were hoping for when searching for authentic Mexican food. Salsa was flavorful, chips fresh and crunchy, chori-queso was the MVP of our meal. We also order a build your own burrito and 2 crunchy tacos. The menu has a good amount of options and next time we will try the loaded churros! This places offers take-out and catering. The prices were very reasonable. The bartender acknowledged us right away and brought us menus. They had the hockey playoffs on the TV which was great cause we've been tuning in lately too! My fiancé decided on the house margarita and said it was delicious. Even though it was a "small" (they also come in "large") it was a very reasonably sized marg. She said it was pretty strong, so props for that haha. We stuck to the appetizer menu and went with a steak quesadilla and a shrimp ceviche. The Quesadilla was amazing: tons of queso, poblano chilis, and the steak was so juicy. You could really taste every ingredient in this thing. If we go back, I would definitely order it again. The ceviche was my fiancé's favorite, tasty shrimp, peppers, and avocado in a bomb orange/lime juice. I had to stop her from straight up slurping it up like a soup. She was a big fan, and she orders ceviche often. This was our first visit to Cha Cha's and we really enjoyed it. We've seen it a bunch of times while in downtown Brea, so we thought we'd give it a try, and I guess we've been missing out! The ambience was nice: not too loud, strong drinks, long menu, friendly staff, sports on the tv, and I was shocked when I saw the bill, very reasonably priced. We'll be back, for sure!

Came for a girls lunch date earlier to this weekend and this spot did not disappoint!…read more THE SERVICE: 5/5 - Quick, friendly, accommodating, and our waiter made a real effort to engage in conversation with us. The FOOD: 4.5/5 | Drinks: 5/5 Off the appetizers, we had the pork belly bites and dirty fries! First dish came with a long hot pepper, several mini tortillas, and 2 dipping sauces. The pork was crunchy on the outside and soft+succulent on the inside. I can see myself doubling up on this appetizer the next time I come. Dirty fries were great; it came with a generous amount of pickled onions - providing a really nice contrast to the savoriness of our meal. Our waiter graciously accommodated our request to have the egg on the side. Off the entrée/taco menu, my friend ordered the Korean tacos and I got the Ensenada (fish) tacos. But you can also order the Ensenada tacos with shrimp. These were delicious, I would have loved a little more lime crema to go with the fish - but not a big deal. I got a Watermelon Margarita. I wasn't expecting it to be HUGE, but it was the perfect amount considering how much food we as a pair ordered. My friend ordered the La Toxica table side cocktail and one additional mango cocktail.
