    Chicken and waffles. Very good
    Evonne G.

Just had a lovely brunch here. Thaer was our server. Thank you for the excellent service! The food is consistently great. Our table ordered the crunch berries french toast, classic breakfast, chicken and waffles, and the breakfast croissant. Everything was delicious and came out surprisingly quick considering how packed the restaurant was. Vanilla lattes were on point. Excellent food and service, plus they accept reservations.. What more can you ask for?

This place gets packed for lunch time. Thankfully it has a large parking lot but would recommend getting here early to snag a spot closer to the entrance. The space inside was very large. It splits into a right side and left side at the check-in desk. Interior design was beautiful and when we arrived for brunch, all seats were filled so would recommend making a reservation. I ordered the Classic Benedict w Cesar Salad. It was a perfect benedict and very filling. I did wish the Cesar salad had more of the dressing flavor. It looked well dressed however I wasn't tasting much of the dressing. Overall, I still enjoyed my food and our server was friendly and attentive, despite how busy the restaurant was.

The Restaurant Is On The Corner Of State College & Birch. It Shares The Same Parking Lot As Residence Inn. My First Visit Was On Sunday, 5/31/26. Had A Reservation At 12:30pm. A Reservation Is Highly Recommended, Because It Was Packed When I Arrived!!! The Noise Level Was High!! Very Friendly Staff & Server. Food Was Pretty Good Along With The BloodyMaria I Had!

Service was excellent and enjoyed the variety of food options. There was something for everyone to cater to our diverse flavor desires! The interior ambience is really pretty too with plenty of parking right outside.

It is rare, when a place that serves steaks actually cook your steak to your liking. I asked for medium rare, and I received medium rare! Slight up charge for a rib eye but wow. This place is amazing. Clean, staff is friendly, restrooms are cute! I'm trying not to start the day off with so much sugar in the morning so I had a black coffee with milk. They have a variety of lattes, and yummy looking pastries. I will be stopping by again. Definitely recommend!

Great food great service. All the food looked incredible and tasted incredible. I loved the coffee. It came with a little scone. And after breakfast, our two birthday people got a surprise. This was in Temecula.

Churro French Toast, Chocolate Velvet Pancake, Breakfast Burrito

I love coming to Toast Kitchen & Bar. It honestly feels like a little hidden gem, and every time I visit it reminds me why I keep coming back. On our last visit we ordered the breakfast burrito, velvet waffles, and the churro French toast, and everything was really good. I have to say though, the breakfast burrito is easily one of the best I've had. It's actually the one thing I always order whenever I come here because it's just that good. It's hearty, flavorful, and super satisfying, making it the perfect brunch dish. The velvet waffles were also great. They weren't overly sweet, which I personally like, and when paired with the cream cheese frosting it created a really nice balance of flavors. It felt indulgent without being too heavy. The churro French toast was another highlight and had that warm cinnamon sugar flavor that made it feel like a fun brunch treat. The restaurant itself is also really spacious inside, which makes the whole experience feel relaxed and comfortable. It's a great place to come with friends and actually sit, chat, and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming, which always makes the visit even better.

Overall was okay just because it did take some time to get our food. Since we were sitting for about 25 minutes before we got our food. The hash brown chips sounded interesting but it is just potatoes that they cut into really small pieces but they werent crispy. Main problem is my girlfriend went to the restroom and it wasn't restocked yet with any paper towels. She went before we ordered they said they would get on it. After we finished she went again but still wasnt restocked yet so not sure if they forgot or was really busy.

I was excited to try this place because of all the hype, but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. We were seated quickly on the patio with our dog, which I appreciated. However, the service was surprisingly slow, especially considering the patio wasn't busy and we arrived before noon. No one offered a water bowl for our dog despite the sunny weather, and we ended up opening our own umbrella because no staff member checked on us. Even getting water refills took much longer than expected. As for the food, it was underwhelming. The French toast was very dry, and the chocolate drizzle completely overpowered the dish. The red chilaquiles lacked flavor, the short rib was just okay and nothing memorable, and both the beans and rice were disappointing, with the rice being mushy. The biggest letdown was the cucumber Spritz cocktail. It tasted mostly like plain club soda with very little flavor. Overall, I don't understand the hype. While the seating was quick and the patio was nice, the slow service and bland food made for a disappointing experience, and I wouldn't return based on this visit.

This is a great spot to have brunch with friends. The inside is spacious and can be great for groups. I think their coffee and cocktails are solid. Their plates are massive and shareable. I wouldn't say the food is great. It's just okay. I've had their green chilaquiles. They come with Spanish rice and black beans. It wasn't a standout dish, and I wasn't a fan of the rice or beans. My friend loved her Spanish omelette and the house potatoes they're served with. I went on a Friday morning and we were sat right away. However, I have seen it packed on weekends, so you might have a wait depending on the window you visit. The staff wasn't inviting. They felt a bit cold. It's pricey spot, but I recommend sharing a plate since they're massive.

"BET" This is a Hot spot it will not disappoint go ahead and Book your breakfast/brunch reservation on Yelp otherwise you will find your self and your family waiting! Ask to sit at Luke's tables he is super awesome! Friendly, attentive and helpful! Leo is the manager he is also super helpful and nice! Food is pretty good our family favorites are Steak and eggs with Country fried potatoes! FYI you might want to request your waffle not be overcooked and burnt request soft it takes so much better! The veggie omelette is also a good choice! If you're looking for a restaurant that could accommodate large parties this is your spot! Issa whole vibe!!! Mommy juice if you like vodka get the pear pressure, and request an east side with vodka Bartenders could make Eric and Chewy are the best there as far as bartenders, and if you feel like Tequila get the mescal margaritas a regular customer my husband and I met on New Year's Eve introduced us to this and it is a hit!!! Loyal customer here for brunch and dinner!!! Dinner is a must too my personal fave the appetizer short rib tacos sauce on the side, main Chicken piccata is chefs kiss and the short rib dinner is so yummy!!!

Leaving a follow up review here. Went for Mother's Day brunch and even though the place was packed they served the food quickly and didn't rush us out. The eggs benefit were still great. Always a favorite.

Good simple brunch spot. We were able to make reservations for breakfast on a Saturday! By 9am there was a decent crowd of people. There was a variety of dishes such as chilaquiles, avocado toasts, French toasts and Benedicts. All dishes come with a side. Side options: potatoes, hash browns, fries , fruit, Caesar Salad or Arugula Salad l. We split breakfast burrito that has sausage ham and bacon, with cheese egg and hash brown with green salsa, along with a salmon Benedict. Service was fast and good came out at a reasonable time. Lattes were delicious. They offer oat milk as a nondairy milk substitute.

Yelp definitely did not let us down! So we've been to Griffins a handful of times over the last yearish and while their menu is petite and nearly unchanged, we still usually get the same things. The most recent visit, we ordered our usual: 20 oz ribeye medium rare, patatas bravas, and crispy brussel sprouts. For the ribeye, I will say this time around compared to the other times we've been here, it was quite lacking. The ribeye was less flavored than usual and I feel like we either got an like an older piece of ribeye or maybe a poor cut off the ribeye because it was quite chewy and a bit tough in some places and not really tender. It was cooked perfectly medium rare, but it was just too chewy and it was not it's usual. I hope this is just a one off thing and that the next time we come back it's the usual delicious and tender one piece of ribeye. The patatas bravas were delicious, crispy, well displayed, and in two different sauces (forgot the name lol) and very tasty. The other highlight is their crispy brussel sprouts. We try and order this at any restaurant; however, most do not do it as perfect as Griffins. It is super crispy, but not charred, very flavorful but not overpowering for a side dish/appetizer, and most importantly, it's not greased up like so many other places. The restaurant is located in that downtown Brea and has plenty of seating but always do reservations regardless. The environment is more dark, relaxing, and a great date spot. Parking is no issue as there is parking in the back (which I believe is valet) but there is a parking structure across the street. Pricing is as expected when compared to other restaurants of similar caliber. Griffins has a very large alcohol drink section, but the ladyfriend and I prefer our non alcohol drinks and I can never say no to Dr. Pepper. Aside from this off night ribeye we had, highly recommended if you are looking for a steak restaurant in this year. Their brussel sprouts will never let you down either!

The FOOD: 4.5/5 | Drinks: 5/5 Off the appetizers, we had the pork belly bites and dirty fries! First dish came with a long hot pepper, several mini tortillas, and 2 dipping sauces. The pork was crunchy on the outside and soft+succulent on the inside. I can see myself doubling up on this appetizer the next time I come. Dirty fries were great; it came with a generous amount of pickled onions - providing a really nice contrast to the savoriness of our meal. Life happened, years passed, and somehow I never made it back. Fast forward to today: I was driving my Tesla, jokingly asked Grok to take me somewhere for a beer, and it pointed me right back here. Walking in felt like revisiting a place that had been quietly waiting in the background of my story. The centerpiece is still the incredible bar. Shelves stacked floor to ceiling with whiskey bottles, glowing green tile behind the taps, warm lighting, and enough character that you can spend half your time simply looking around. It's the kind of room that feels both energetic and comfortable at the same time. I grabbed a seat at the bar, watched a soccer match on the TVs, and ordered an Old Fashioned. It arrived exactly the way I hoped it would: large clear ice cube, generous orange peel, balanced and smooth without trying too hard. Just a well-made classic cocktail. What stood out most was the atmosphere. These days I'm much more likely to be exploring hiking trails, photographing wildflowers, or driving mountain roads than spending time in bars. Twelve years ago, places like this were a much more regular part of my life. Coming back reminded me why I enjoyed them in the first place. Good conversation, a comfortable seat, a quality drink, and no rush to be anywhere else. The beer taps looked extensive, the whiskey selection seemed endless, and the entire place struck a balance between neighborhood pub and whiskey destination. Funny how a random AI navigation suggestion brought me back to a place I'd been meaning to revisit for over a decade. Glad it finally did. 5 stars.

Could not have been happier. From the moment we walked through the heavy wooden door (fancy!) until we left- the host, the waitress, server, manager and even the owner were amazingly attentive and welcoming. When it's your birthday they put a nice sign at your table and everyone stops by to wish you an amazing bday. They also check in to make sure you're having a good time and enjoying your delicious meal. Now for the food: fresh, al dente and tasty. All adjectives you want running through your mind after the first bitesss. We ordered stuffed mushroom- hot and nicely seasoned. Mushrooms not overcooked and stuffing not overly cheesy. The shrimp linguine another hit with fresh tomatoes and jumbo shrimp with a nice snap. The light seasoning with lots of garlic was just perfect. We also ordered the beef short ribs. My friend said it melted on her mouth and the fresh mash potatoes- just right. Did I mention the portions were huge! Lots of goodies to take with us. To add to the dining experience we watched as patrons steadily came and went throughout the evening. You can tell this is a favorite for many. There were High-5s, handshakes and lots of "Welcome back friends!" Just an overall beautifully decked out neighborhood restaurant with so much heart and soul. I heard that the restaurant has been handed down from their grandparents... I'm sure they would be very proud. Highly recommend.
