It splits into a right side and left side at the check-in desk. Interior design was beautiful and when we arrived for brunch, all seats were filled so would recommend making a reservation. I ordered the Classic Benedict w Cesar Salad. It was a perfect benedict and very filling. I did wish the Cesar salad had more of the dressing flavor. Toast is a fabulous brunch spot in Brea right off the Orange Freeway. Their classic take on French toast is highly recommended! Half orders consisting of one thick piece of brioche bread cut diagonally, and a full order is double that. The batter is balanced somewhere perfectly between subtle and rich. Best of all, this is a very rare place that will give you a lot of extra powdered sugar. The vast majority of restaurants, mistakenly believing maple syrup and butter are the only acceptable french toast condiments, either don't even carry it or won't provide more than the lightest dusting. I was excited to try this place because of all the hype, but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. We were seated quickly on the patio with our dog, which I appreciated. However, the service was surprisingly slow, especially considering the patio wasn't busy and we arrived before noon. No one offered a water bowl for our dog despite the sunny weather, and we ended up opening our own umbrella because no staff member checked on us. Even getting water refills took much longer than expected. As for the food, it was underwhelming. The French toast was very dry, and the chocolate drizzle completely overpowered the dish. The red chilaquiles lacked flavor, the short rib was just okay and nothing memorable, and both the beans and rice were disappointing, with the rice being mushy. The biggest letdown was the cucumber Spritz cocktail. It tasted mostly like plain club soda with very little flavor. Overall, I don't understand the hype. The hash brown chips sounded interesting but it is just potatoes that they cut into really small pieces but they werent crispy. Came here for breakfast with my son. I have passed by this place so many times and I finally made it inside. You have to be careful not to pass it since there is only one entrance to the parking lot , if you pass the entrance you will have to make a U-turn and come back. We didn't think we would get seated fast because the parking lot was pretty full. But we got lucky and were seated right away. Service is pretty good , they have a lot of people working here. The place is really big and has a lot of seating. It was quite busy. I ordered a Spanish omelette and my son ordered the blueberry pancakes. My omelette was ok, it had way too much peppers and I didn't see the cheese , it comes with a side so I went with country potato with onions and bell peppers. I only wish that it included some kind of toast. My son's pancakes were ok, they are only topped with blueberries we thought the blueberries were going to be inside the batter or inside the pancake. He had to add a lot of syrup to make them soft. The one thing I will say is that the house coffee is very good. It's Lavazza coffee which is really good. I've visited Toast in Whittier which I wasn't as impressed enough to leave a review but today I came to brunch with my husband, daughter and her boyfriend. We made a reservation and were seated immediately. This location is always very clean and welcoming. We ordered strawberry mimosas, the simple breakfast, omelettes and a burrito with a side of green sauce. Everything was cooked to perfection. The best part of this visit was being served by Thaer. Thaer was a great waiter and extremely attentive. He continued to check on us and did not try to rush us out even though we took quite a bit of time. Then, he kept forgetting my sister's coffee and she had to ask for it 3 times. He also didn't bring the birthday girl's side of biscuit until she was halfway through her meal. Lastly, he omitted the candle on the french toast we ordered making it super awkward as we had to tell the birthday girl to wait and then go ask them for the candle. The food and drinks however were delicious! I got the spanish omelette which was light enough even though it was 3 eggs. Depending on the time, the wait on the weekend can be very long up to an hour or so. Since I have been here many times, my secret to avoid the long wait on the weekend is to go before the "after-church crowd" IYKYK A simple yet plenty of deliciousness from the brunch menu! My favorites are the omelettes and the benedicts. Though I am a bit sad that it no longer offers the lobster benedict. However you can't go wrong with any of other offerings from the brunch menu. Everything tastes freshly made, and good portions as well. On my most recent visit, instead of the usual omelette or benedict, I had the brunch burger (8oz beef/chorizo patty with slices of bacon and fresh avocado, a fried egg sunny side up, all on a brioche bun). The guy looked extremely rushed, and they may have been shorthanded because it looked like he was taking care of the entire left section that was filled completely. We were lucky that he was good to look at so we forgave a lot of his stress. But I'm sure when better staffed the service would've been excellent. Food wise the Benedict was so curdled we had to return it for another dish, but the waiter was very accommodating to that request. I do believe this is a one off situation as I've been here in the past and it never tasted like this. I am not sure about the drinks, but my girlfriends were totally buzzed even after the first sip, so I'm sure the bartender did many heavy pours early in a day.
