Remember the old Lascari's? The old vibe always made me think of a nursing home dining room. The food was always good, but the atmosphere just didn't quite hit the mark. Well, this place has had a complete makeover and is now wayyyy more upscale. - Vibe and Wine We walked in and decided to sit at the bar. The interior is beautiful, and their wine display cases really caught my eye. I was a bit bummed that, despite such a lovely display, the wine choices were a bit limited. The options start at a low price point (La Crema) and then there are some really sweet (jammy) choices, followed by some really high-priced bottles, but not much in between. I know this location is a community favorite and has been for over fifty years, with all the local doctors dining here, but we'd really appreciate seeing some more regular options. Maybe a few boutique wines from Paso, some unique bubbles, and other more affordable choices? - Bar and Food We walked in and chose to sit at the bar because that's usually where you get good service. Unfortunately, the bartender, Kelly, was very slow and seemed a bit lost. I heard her say several times that she was exhausted. It took her about ten minutes to get our drink order, and we were there for at least half an hour before we actually had a drink. It took almost forty-five minutes to get our food order placed. (She even went into the kitchen to make sure the dish I ordered didn't have any cream.) She came back and repeated our order. (Put a pin in this for later.) Kelly was busy, and the manager had to step in several times to help her get organized. She couldn't talk and work at the same time. In between having four guests at the bar, making drinks for the service bar, checking her phone, and trying to chat with guests, she just couldn't handle everything. She seemed friendly enough, but she was so much of a liability that it made us wonder if she might be related to the owners. After another 30 minutes, the guests next to us finally get their food, but we're still waiting. Kelly comes over and asks if we placed a food order for us. We tell her yes, a while back! She checks the computer and says she doesn't see anything. What?!!! This woman can't seem to multitask at all. We're so disappointed and hangry now. Fifteen minutes later, our food finally arrives. Kelly says, "My bad, dessert is on me." Seriously--no manager to come and apologize, nothing comped, just continued bad service and a full-price meal and cocktails that took three times longer than they should have. We were so disappointed because the food is delicious, but honestly, after a stressful day, I don't have the patience for utterly poor service. (Zero crowd here at the time which was in between lunch/dinner hour) As I mentioned before, the Manager came behind the bar multiple times to assist and clear dishes that sat atop the bar for long periods. A young man came on duty and immediately started hustling! He handled more in ten minutes than Kelly did our entire visit. Kelly even started griping to him that the manager was on her case because she was so behind. She couldn't even complain and make a drink simultaneously. She literally stopped everything to complain to her coworker. While the vibe and food all meet expectations, the service missed the mark by miles and really ruined our desire to ever want to return. This saddens me.

Came for the cheese wheel! Actually two of us shared it brisket parpadelle, warn salmon salad, lasagna and cocktails and white wine! dessert spumoni and tiramisu to share! We closed down the joint! Servers were all great! Menu slightly less than new 19seventy in Arcadia.

Met up with a group of women from LA county and the OC so we found this restaurant in the middle! Everyone Loved the food! Drinks were fun and tasty. Service was nice. I shared the short rib pasta and it was a great tableside presentation. I also enjoyed the smoked drinks presentations. I gave it a 4 because it wasn't perfect, but just little details. Felt like we were left a long time without being checked on, during the dinner. My pasta didn't seem very warm and a tad overcooked, but still delicious. I would go again!

I don't remember but it was delicious

This spot has top notch food, service is great and price was fair. They really take pride in every dish, superb!!! I want to go back already and take the family, my wife and I just went on a date night. If you're looking for great Italian, I'm not talking Caranos or Olive Garden stuff this is legit! It's a must try.

I was in the mood for Italian and remembered a place in Whittier called Lascaris, which is now called 19Seventy. My mom used to come here often when it was family-owned, so I was curious to try it again--though I'm not sure if it's still family-run. This was a 30 min drive for us so we'd hope it would be worth it, which it was. First impressions were great. The restaurant looks beautiful from the outside, and the inside is just as inviting. We were greeted and seated right away near the bar area. I came with my boyfriend and our 3-year-old, and we were excited to try the menuit had a nice variety of pasta, seafood, and steak options. The bread and butter were so good--we couldn't stop eating it and even ordered more (which we knew wasn't complimentary after reviewing the menu. We started with stuffed mushrooms, truffle fries and two mezcal cocktails recommended by our server one kiwi drink and one hibiscus. Both drinks were excellent. The truffle fries, yummy. For entrees, my boyfriend had the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp, and I ordered the chicken piccata with lemon pasta and vegetables. We also got a kids' spaghetti with a meatball. Everything tasted delicious, no complaints on the food itself. However, a few things brought the experience down. My son loved his meatball, so I ordered an extra one, assuming it would be a small add-on charge. To my surprise, it was $8 for a single meatball--the same price as the entire kids' meal. The menu listed a $2 add-on for a meatball on the child's meal itself, so this felt unexpected and honestly a bit excessive. Our bill came to $160 which seems to be the going rate these days for a nice meal a couple of drinks. Another issue was the temperature, it got noticeably cold where we were sitting. I mentioned it to our server, and while he said he'd check on it, it didn't seem to improve and actually felt colder as time went on. This just got really uncomfortable, that I didn't really get to enjoy my creme brulee, even had to wait to ask for another spoon, at this point I was just ready to leave. Service was just a bit inconsistent. Our server started off friendly and energetic, but that attentiveness faded, and we found ourselves having to flag him down several times. It just didn't feel as smooth as it could have been. When we first sat down, I told my boyfriend this was shaping up to be a 5-star experience, the ambiance, food, and drinks were all there. But by the end, I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. We still tipped 18% in cash, which felt fair, though I usually tip closer to 20-25% when service matches the experience. Overall, the food and atmosphere are definitely worth coming back for. Now that I know what to expect (and what to avoid ordering), I'd give it another try--hopefully with better service and a warmer table next time.

I've been coming to Lascari's for decades and now they have transformed into 19seventy. The atmosphere is a level up and keeps the family feel but also flirts with Sophistication. Their menu is all new with great choices. Let's get to the food. My wife and I had table side Pappardelle , which was really cool to see it prepared. My sons had the Jumbo Shrimp Linguini , Fettuccine Alfredo and we had the fried zucchini appetizer. Everything was top notch and tasty, plenty of flavor and served hot. I highly recommend.

3.5 stars - rounding up for service. Found 19seventy on Yelp while searching for a cute girls lunch spot and decided to give it a try. The restaurant appears to have been recently renovated, featuring a modern, open dining space with stylish grey tones. I made a reservation through OpenTable for a party of seven, and we were seated about 10 minutes after arriving. Our waters were filled quickly once we sat down, and Aidan came by to greet us shortly after. Our group shared several dishes: the Calamari ($18), Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken ($24), Rigatoni alla Vodka with Chicken ($24), Pepperoni Pizza ($18), and the Short Rib Pappardelle ($69). The group favorites were the fettuccine Alfredo and the rigatoni; flavors were well balanced, and the noodles were cooked perfectly al dente. The short rib pappardelle was served tableside, where a staff member brought out a large cheese wheel to prepare the dish. A fun experience to watch but unfortunately the pasta itself was overcooked and fell apart easily + the sauce didn't quite hit the mark for us. Even during the busy lunch rush, finding parking wasn't an issue as there is a decently sized private lot. Would recommend making a reservation if possible, as the restaurant was pretty packed during lunch. Brunch menu served on weekends.

Aesthetic Vibes & Delicious Eats! This place is an absolute must-visit, but make a reservation! I went on a Sunday afternoon and the house was packed. The Atmosphere The interior is stunning--so pretty and incredibly cozy. It's the perfect backdrop for a date night or a girls' day out. You'll definitely want to take a few photos while you're here. The Food Everything we ordered was so delicious. The menu is a hit; you really can't go wrong with the food here. The Logistics * Service: It was okay--steady, though expectedly busy given the Sunday rush. * Parking: Super easy! They have a lot of spots, so you don't have to hunt for street parking. Highly recommend checking this spot out if you're in the area! (Whittier)

My wife and I went to 19Senty for date night the other evening. We've driven by it a few times since it's so close to home, and finally decided to give it a try. I'll admit, I was a little nervous at first -- sometimes you just don't know what to expect -- but that quickly changed the moment we walked in. The environment was calm, welcoming, and had a really nice ambiance that immediately set the tone for a great evening. We arrived without a reservation, which had me a bit worried, but we were seated in less than 10 minutes. That alone made a great first impression. Our server was fantastic -- made excellent cocktail recommendations for me and some great wine suggestions for my wife. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully plated. You can tell they really care about presentation as much as flavor. I would definitely recommend this spot for any special occasion, date night, or just a nice evening out. We'll most likely be back again soon!

We decided to attempt a last minute dinner for Valentine's Day. All places we searched or called seemed to be booked up. Still I tried my luck with 19Seventy. The person that answered the phone let me know that at that time walk up was only a 20 minute wait. However we still had to commute from a localish city. He was nice enough to put our name on the waitlist and was optimistic there would be a table for us shortly after arriving. We made it there in 30 min, by 6p. After searching for parking and walking inside, we were immediately sat. They gave us a perfect corner spot with holiday themed decor. Our main server was very attentive, checked in often even though they were so busy that night, and made great recommendations. We ended ordering the short rib pasta that is prepared table side in a Parmesan cheese wheel. Out server did let us know it might be a bit of a wait due to it's popularity and how many people ordered it. We were okay with that because we had their complimentary bread & butter, and our pizza came while we waited. The pizza was tasty and we loved the taste of the crust. We ended up ordering a holiday themed drink with dragonfruit in it. Once I missed mine I enjoyed it more because of the soda that. It through the sugar a bit. Our pasta came before we got too full on our pizza. The sever was very informative and walked use through each step. In the end we did ask for more Parmesan after we tasted it. Something tasted on the sweeter side and felt like a little more salt was needed. The pasta was great, and the short rib chunks were tender. Overall, I'd stop by again to sample another dish or for more pizza

Five star across-the-board for ambience, food quality, taste, and service. I've been here multiple times and it's one of my favorite restaurants. Today, Aidan was our server and he was very excellent. We went there for my dad's birthday for Sunday brunch and everything was fantastic and my family enjoyed it very much.

Subject to Valentine's Day. Was given a small glass of champagne while waiting to be seated after checking in. Staff and service were really good and responsive, never really had to call anyone over. The inside is nice and a very well put together environment, depending on where you sit, but the floor chairs near the bar are a bit short for the tables. The bread & butter was a good introduction to how the food would taste tonight. The calamari was pretty good, although wished there was a non spicy option for the marinara. The garlic mashed potatoes were very well seasoned and had great consistency in the flavor. No complaints. The short rib pappardelle was a great table side show, presentation looks amazing and smelled great. Although, there was a lot going on with the taste. The cheese, with the Alfredo and the meat sauce, all in the pappardelle I didn't know what to think of it. It was good, just slight chance that it was too much of something. The meat was a bit gamey for me, wish you could choose the rarity of the meat, but understand that it's probably the traditional slow-braised approach.

I had this place bookmarked not only because the decor looked absolutely stunning and chic, but also because of the table side cheese wheel experience. This place is known for their specialty cocktails and the table side Short Rib & Pappardelle, which serves 2 people. So, of course, I ordered the Short Rib & Pappardelle to see the fire show. Every patron that night seemed to have done the table side cheese wheel experience. I thought the show was much more impressive than the actual dish, but it was indeed an experience! What the star of the show were the appetizers. We ordered the Wagyu Meatball & Toast and the Truffle Arancini with smoked applewood bacon gravy! The meatballs were juicy and paired nicely with the grilled garlic herb crostini. For the arancini, the bacon gravy made this dish so flavorful! We also ordered a Neopolitan Pizza and the Rigatoni A La Vodka. Staff was very attentive and made sure waters were filled, the dining experience was going well, and answered all the questions we had about the menu. They also served a cannoli as a complimentary birthday dessert!
