Chicken entree with basmati rice and grilled vegetables
    Denise G.

The Olive pit is a local favorite when I'm in Brea. Girls shopping day ended with an early dinner here. My favorite is the grilled chicken entree with basmati rice and Mediterranean salad. Ordered a side of hummus for the table. The service was good, food came to the table at a reasonable time, refills were offered. We waiting a bit for the check and to request boxes a while after we were done eating. None the less, we enjoyed our dinner and would definitely come back.

This Greek spot in Orange County has decent Mediterranean cuisine. The dolmades are alright, but the sauce could be better. The spanakopita is mediocre, not remotely as good as what our family makes at home. But the Feta Fries are incredible! That's my best recommendation here! The lamb dishes and various kabobs are also pretty good. The restaurant is in a great location in the heart of downtown Brea, and the service is excellent! But the Olive Pit isn't going to wow you as much as some of the best Greek restaurants in SoCal.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area indefinitely my favorite Greek restaurant. I have a tendency to always order the same thing. Here my go to is usually the lamb Jairo or the lamb chops but lately I've been trying to try different things. I am happy I chose to do this as I have found items that I have loved that I just hadn't tried. I had this year tuna one day and it was really good. It was perfectly cooked and it had a good sauce but the one item that I was honestly surprised was the half roasted chicken. I tend not to order chicken at restaurants because I am worried that the chicken will be dry, but that was definitely not the case here. The chicken was really good and I will definitely get it again. My boyfriend tried it and he wanted to switch dishes, but I absolutely did not allow him to. The chicken was just very juicy and tender. For the sides, I used to always get hummus, but I didn't know that they had an eggplant dip similar to baba ghanoush. Now that I have tried it, it is my go to. You can really taste a roasted eggplant in there and the texture is similar to hummus. My other go to side are the artichoke hearts because they are so big they are roasted and it's a good portion. Overall this remains to be one of my favorite restaurants in the area and I will be back.

I visited Olive Pit Grill in downtown Brea with two friends because we wanted a healthy meal. The three of us ordered Dolmades, a Margherita pizza, grilled chicken kabobs, and a sirloin steak kabob. Everything was delicious; I especially enjoyed the Dolmades, which I was trying for the first time. For dessert, we had Greek yogurt mixed with nuts and honey, which was a perfect way to finish the meal.

This place has changed from my last visit; it is now a sit down restaurant with great atmosphere! Super clean. Outdoor seating is available. Friendly and attentive service I'm sure it gets busy on the weekend.Parking garage is located behind the restaurant. We got our food rather quickly. Everything was delicious. I do prefer the chicken kabobs over the steak kabobs; the chicken was more tender. Definitely coming back!

Lamb Gyro Wrap with upgraded Feta Fries.

Although the Olive Pit is in busy Downtown Brea, there's a parking structure right behind the restaurant, so parking is a breeze. They have a very nice patio area as well as spacious and stylish indoor seating. It was a bit windy today, so we chose to sit inside. There are both tables and half table half booth seating, and the booths are very homey and comfortable in that the backs are lined with an assortment of throw pillows. Our server today, Chris, was one of the best servers we've had in a while. He didn't make us feel rushed, checked on us regularly, was very personable, and just had a great sense of humor. My friend ordered the margarita flat bread and thoroughly enjoyed it. The crust was thin and crispy and the toppings were generous without being too heavy to weigh down the crust. I had the lamb gyro wrap and upgraded to feta fries for my side. The feta fries had a very generous amount of cheese and was really good. The lamb and veggies in the wrap were nicely proportioned, but it could have used more of a dressing or spread to tie it together better. It was an enjoyable visit thanks to Chris. The food was filling, so we didn't have room for dessert, but I have my eye on the baklava ice cream when we return!

Brought our relatives her for lunch. Short walk from the parking lot to the entrance. Dining area was clean, bright and welcoming. Decor is very modern with nice throw pillows on the bench seatings. My wife and her sister said it was very comfortable. Service was excellent and very helpful and friendly. We shared an appetizer of fried zucchini which was served hot and was delicious. I ordered the sirloin steak plate with basmati rice and fried artichoke hearts. My wife ordered the steak kabob with sides of Mediterranean salad and grilled vegetables. We also ordered a falafel ala carte. Their falafel is soft on the inside and yummy. Our other guests loved their kabob plates and the meals were very filling too.

This is one of my family's favorite places to dine! Food is always delicious and freshly made! This time around, we ordered most of our dishes from the Happy Hour Menu. Service is also excellent! Parking is available in the structure right behind the restaurant. Most of the time you'll have to go up to the second or third levels due to people going to the UFC Gym right next to the Olive Pit.

Olive Pit was solid across the board. OCTOPUS: 4/5. So tender and packed with flavor. FETA FRIES: 5/5. Perfectly crispy. SO addictive. FRIED ZUCCHINI: 4/5. Also delicious but didn't hold up as well over time; definitely something you want to eat right away before the moisture takes over. SALMON: The fish was perfectly cooked, but the rice was a bit under and the side Caesar didn't do much for me. Service was great, super friendly and on it. Tons of seating both inside and out, and bonus points for the parking structure right behind the restaurant for easy in, easy out.

Another great experience at one of my local favorites. Thank you Jasmine for the amazing service. We had a few of the happy hour items (flatbread, 2 salads, drinks and fried ravioli). It was very affordable ($40) and we had left overs. The flatbread pizza with the honey was my favorite. Light crust, spicy kick with honey drizzled on top.

    Calamari. Spanakopita.
    Jasmine H.

Me and my friends were looking at pictures of the food and it looked delicious so we gave it a try. Did not disappoint one bit!! There is a huge parking structure out back so plenty of parking available. You're able to access the restaurant through the patio and it's located right next to a UFC gym. Indoor and outdoor seating is available and the decor is very beautiful. We ordered the calamari, spanakopita (spinach & feta pie), grilled lamb kebab, and grilled chicken entree. The lemon aioli for the calamari was amazing, I couldn't stop eating it. The spanakopita was decent but a little dry in the middle. We ordered medium for the lamb and it was nice and pink, with the perfect chew. The kebabs and entrees come with 2 sides, I definitely recommend their hummus , especially the melitzanosalata (eggplant hummus). Regular hummus was more beany while the melitzanosalata was on the sour side and packed more of a punch. The chicken was a bit dry but had good flavor. Overall, service was amazing and the food was pretty good! Fully enjoyed the meal and would definitely be back to try other dishes and the house made hummus.

Ground lamp musaka! So good! And huge!
    Heather W.

Joined my friend for lunch here and it was packed from about 1-3pm! We shared the calamari and the loaded fries. Calamari was tasty and crispy with the dipping sauce, the fries were a little too soggy for us, it came in a Togo box. I had the ground lamb mossaka which was huge and so flavorful, and my friend had the grilled shrimp plate with mushrooms and tzatziki. We finished with tiramisu, non traditional style, tasted like a tiramisu mousse, they put kanef at the bottom though it wasn't crunchy. And the biscuits on top. It was okay, I probably would opt for something different next time. We sat outside which was comfortable in the booth like seating, the servers were kind and accommodating and they have heaters outside. Also the fig martini is the perfect blend of refreshing and sweet, but not too sweet.

The only communication I received was asking where an item I rented (the projector/VIBE) was placed. I told them, they found it, and that was the end of it. Shortly after, Alex (the COO) emailed me stating that my security deposit would be returned by this weekend. It still hasn't been returned. About 4 days after receiving the email from Alex , Chloe texted me asking if I had received my deposit. I told her no and sent her Alex's email confirming the refund. 2.5 weeks after my event, she suddenly claimed that damages were found after my event. This raised immediate red flags. - The venue had cleaners come in right after my event, so they would've notified her of damages just like they did after her other events. So I don't see what's so difficult about showing me the cleaners claimed that the kitchen door was locked. Obviously, it wasn't if she can't provide proof. - Chloe herself said she would come in the following day to confirm the rented equipment was where I stated. So again, why weren't these issues brought up immediately if there was truly damages done to her venue during my event. - I had already contacted her the next day asking about camera footage, and she told me the cameras do not retain footage past a short period Despite all of this, 2.5 weeks after my event, I received this message: "After your event, our cleaning team reported a few issues... 1. The kitchen door was locked and a locksmith was called 2. A crack found on the wall 3. A broken door stopper" When I asked for video footage or proof, none was provided. Instead, I was sent a screen recording of text messages between Chloe and her cleaning staff. Her cleaning staff said these issues occurred at another event the following weekend after my event. Immediately, when I said thats not the date of my event she unsends the screen recorded message between her and her cleaners.... They are now claiming that I locked the kitchen door, requiring a locksmith, yet when I asked for proof, I received no response from Chloe and Alex. As of now, I am still waiting for my deposit. This entire experience feels like an attempt to retroactively justify withholding a deposit. The lack of transparency, delayed claims, and refusal to provide evidence is extremely concerning and unprofessional. If you value clear communication, integrity, and lawful business practices, I would strongly suggest booking elsewhere

We really wanted to choose our own caterer and bakeries, to choose wines and beers that we liked, and to bring my own pro audio equipment for the ceremony and music. The Griffith House let us do all that.

Event type: Daughter's 18th birthday / Debut / Graduation Party…read moreDate: June 2026 Guests: 104 The Charleston was the perfect venue for our daughter's debut -- elegant, flexible, and incredibly supportive from the very beginning. It was actually the first venue we toured back in October, and it set the bar so high that nothing else came close. We visited several other places, but every time we walked out, we found ourselves saying, "It's just not The Charleston." One venue even tried to slash $3,000 off the price if we booked on the spot, which only made us feel uneasy. The Charleston, on the other hand, felt honest, professional, and genuinely invested in making our daughter's night special. The ballroom itself is stunning -- vaulted ceilings, chandeliers, uplighting, a full stage, LED screen, hardwood floors, bar areas, and a beautiful bridal suite. As parents, we wanted her debut to feel elevated and unforgettable, and this venue delivered in every way. A few standout details: * Planning Pod: Their floorplan tool made seating assignments incredibly easy. We could drag and drop guests into exact seats, which was a lifesaver for a debut with VIPs and a full court. The BEOs were clearly laid out too, keeping communication smooth for both our family and the venue team. * Early setup access: Starting at 11 AM gave everyone plenty of time to prepare without rushing. * DIY friendly decor: They allowed us to decorate the ballroom ourselves, and staff was supportive the entire time. They even set up tables for assembling flower arrangements. * Band + DJ compatibility: Zero technical issues all night. The elevator access made load in easy for everyone. (DJ Ramon Guzman: Highly recommend booking him. He served as both DJ and MC, ran the entire program flawlessly, and kept the energy flowing.) * Custom video loop: Our welcome video played throughout the night and added a beautiful personal touch. * Parlor/bridal suite: Debutante and her court used it all day for hair, makeup, wardrobe changes, and quiet breaks. * Professional staff: Every interaction -- from load in to teardown -- was organized, friendly, and efficient. Emily, John and crew were fantastic! * Food: We chose the Charleston Signature Buffet, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious everything was. Some even admitted they went back for seconds (or thirds!). * Guest experience: Parking, entrance flow, open bar, grazing table, buffet line, champagne toast, coffee service, cake cutting, and seating layout all felt polished and effortless. We didn't hear a single negative comment. As parents, we just wanted our daughter's debut to feel special, stress free, and unforgettable -- and The Charleston delivered all of that and more. The night was beautiful, seamless, and everything we hoped it would be, and our daughter absolutely loved every moment of it. If you're planning a debut, wedding, or milestone event, we highly recommend The Charleston. It's the kind of venue that lets you actually enjoy the moment.

One of the things we loved most was how versatile the space is. Whether you're planning a wedding, birthday celebration, corporate event, quinceañera, anniversary party, or any other gathering, The Charleston provides an incredible setting that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. The ballroom is spacious and beautiful, with plenty of room for dining, dancing, and entertainment, while still maintaining an intimate feel for guests. The building has so much character, with beautiful architecture, high ceilings, stunning woodwork, and a timeless atmosphere that creates the perfect backdrop for any special occasion.
