    Baklava Frozen Greek Yogurt

Actually very impressed by the flavor and value of this Greek spot! Counter service is fast and they bring the food to your table as well. Beef/Lamb Gyro Plate - definitely tastes more beef than lamb but still flavorful, hummus dips is garlicky and smooth, salad is very fresh, fries are thin crisp cut and not too salty, pita is pillowy soft, and rice is cooked well Baklava Frozen Greek Yogurt - the menu picture made me order this dessert and it did not disappoint, think of a plain tart froyo at your local spot with honey and semi-sweet baklava pieces mixed throughout Will definitely be back!

    So fresh and delicious!

Everything tasted so fresh and healthy. Chicken kabobs were so flavorful. Don't sleep on this place

Second time here and we love it every time! The protein is always flavorful, rice is the perfect texture, and the sauces complement the dishes so well. The only complaint I have is that the pita bread the second time around was very thick and more chewy than I remember. It didn't take away from the meal though and we'll definitely return.

So I decided to check out Pita GR while I was out in Brea today. The place had plenty of parking right in front and looked clean inside. I got the Street Lamb Gyro which came with fries. The gyro was a little on the small side for the price and the fries were decent. The quality of the food was just ok. I might give the Beef Gyro a shot next time instead of the Lamb maybe. Overall, just an ok experience.

Good food and portions, friendly service, clean interior and willing to accommodate my allergies. Will definitely return!

I came here and ordered a chicken pita. It came with seasoned fries. The interior is nice and the staff were friendly. The pita had your choice of white or dark meat, I chose white. It can with tzatziki, red onions, tomatoes and french fries inside the pita. It tasted good if I came back I would like to try the frozen yogurt with baklava.

    Cleared.

Friendly, inviting, and helpful staff. The food makes up for its longer wait time, and the ambiance is cozy despite tables that need fixing. Efharisto!

This place markets itself as "inspired" authentic Greek, which should tell you something right away -- because it's definitely not authentic Greek. The braised lamb was extremely salty -- so salty that I couldn't taste the lamb at all, only a wall of salt that numbed my mouth. The fries tasted frozen and generic. I was glad I got the sauce on the side for the gyro because it was very commercial-tasting and not worth using. The zucchini chips were actually good, and the avocado in the gyro was fresh and green -- probably the best part of the meal. But overall, the food was more "commercialized Mediterranean fast food" than Greek, and the flaws outweighed the positives. I won't be coming back.

Came here for the baklava and it was absolutely perfect. They have a unique presentation by having it as a roll. I felt like it was a generous portion for about $5. It was very tasty with plenty of filling! If you enjoy the flaky pastry, this may not be for you. I did notice that they have several salads which looked good. They have a line where you walk up to order. The lady at the front was very nice and the ambiance was a casual feel with a relaxed environment. I will for sure be back.

Oh my gosh Pita GR is THE BEST. We tried it for the first time today and loved it. The food was excellent, everyone is so nice, and the inside is cool and clean. The hummus trio was so good. So fresh and the pita was nice and hot. We got the regular sized fries and it fed both of us. We also got a gyro plate and it was tasty. It fed 2 of us and gave us a lot to take home. We will definitely be back :)

Fell in love with Greek food after visiting Greece, especially the Pita Gyros, so I was excited to try Pita GR which is newer to the area. Good service from the cashier out front as she was friendly and patient as we were deciding what to order. Regular Zeus Fries w/ Beef+Lamb Gyro ($13.50): Fries topped with gyro (or other choice of meat), tzatziki sauce, green onion, and feta. +$1 additional for onions, tomato, and peppers. Pork Gyro Pita ($14): The infamous pita bread wrapped around beef/lamb gyro, tomatoes, feta, chives, pickled red onions, and tzatziki sauce. Pita also comes with a side of fries. Chicken Gyro Plate ($17.95): Rice, meat, salad, pita bread, and hummus (or other side of choice). Good portions but was disappointed in most items except the meat. Was not a fan of the lemon zest pieces or lemon flavor for the rice, tomato pieces in the salad were huge, and the fries were extremely salty. Common denominator: food was overly salty (especially the fries) and difficult to finish + left us parched the rest of the evening. Would recommend asking for reduced salt when ordering. Located in the same plaza as Party City, located next to Smoking Tiger coffee.

The burger and the salad were both extremely salty and almost unbearable to eat. I think the cooks should use significantly less sauce and dressing. As for the zucchini chips, it was 90% batter and 10% zucchini. It would be better if the zucchini slices are thicker! It also took way too long for these to come out. I think we waited almost 30 minutes? The cashiers were extremely friendly tho!

I wanted to like this place. First time here and I love Greek food. The chicken tastes burnt and like lighter fluid even though it has a little bit of char but wasn't burnt. My family tasted and we all agreed. The rice was just okay. The fries were good and usually my favorite is the Greek salad but the feta was so salty I could barely eat it and I love salty! The sauce was good and the hummus was tasty. The lamb chops tasty old. My son enjoyed his gyro it was shredded lamb which was different. The Greek cherry bottled soda was good and they do have the agave stubborn sodas available. $80 Bill and no problem Paying that if the food is good but the chicken was so disappointing.

Half eaten chicken kabob plate. Forgot to take initial picture.

Here my go to is usually the lamb Jairo or the lamb chops but lately I've been trying to try different things. I am happy I chose to do this as I have found items that I have loved that I just hadn't tried. I had this year tuna one day and it was really good. It was perfectly cooked and it had a good sauce but the one item that I was honestly surprised was the half roasted chicken. I tend not to order chicken at restaurants because I am worried that the chicken will be dry, but that was definitely not the case here. The chicken was really good and I will definitely get it again. My boyfriend tried it and he wanted to switch dishes, but I absolutely did not allow him to. The chicken was just very juicy and tender. For the sides, I used to always get hummus, but I didn't know that they had an eggplant dip similar to baba ghanoush. Now that I have tried it, it is my go to. You can really taste a roasted eggplant in there and the texture is similar to hummus. My other go to side are the artichoke hearts because they are so big they are roasted and it's a good portion. Overall this remains to be one of my favorite restaurants in the area and I will be back.

My friend and I had lunch on the patio and waited a solid 30 minutes just to get water. The service was painfully slow and careless; tables around us were left uncleaned, and when our food arrived, we had no utensils. After asking the food runner and waiting around while our meals got cold, my friend finally had to get up and track down silverware herself. When the waiter finally acknowledged us, he literally threw the utensils onto the table. Then, when we asked for extra napkins, he actually put his hand up to block us and just walked away. I was so shocked by the blatant rudeness that I called for the manager. While the manager apologized and gave us a free dessert, a sweet treat doesn't fix a total lack of professionalism. If employees hate being there that much, they shouldn't be working in hospitality! Management is also to blame by keeping them employed. When reading some of the other reviews, seems like service is really lacking here and the waiters have major attitude problems. The food is always great, but this type of behavior and level of disrespect makes me never want to come back. I will take my money elsewhere.

Bottom Line Up Front: If you like Greek food but don't want…read moreto pay big bucks at an traditional sit-down restaurant, Apola can be your yummy, budget-friendly alternative. The Food: Let me start by saying this is clearly an American take on Greek food, so if you're looking for super authentic food, look elsewhere. But if you're OK with a fusion, Apola will satisfy your Mediterranean craving. There are gyros (pita wraps), bowls, combo plates, and burritos (see, there's that American take I was talking about). All of them range in quality from average to really good. Though I've been here several times, I'll focus on my last visit when we got "the Works" pita wrap and a Greek salad bowl. For the Works, it comes with all the fixings, your choice of protein, and fries stuffed inside (yes, inside, not as a side). I chose beef-and-lamb gyro meat, which came in a huge portion. (Pro Tip: I pulled the fries out and got a "free" side. Of course , there's not a lot of fries, but enough to satisfy my fried food craving.) The gyro was big and tasty. For the Greek salad bowl, we also got beef-and-lamb gyro meat. Once again, they hooked it up with the quantity. Nice! The ingredients (tomatoes, cucumber, feta, etc) were all fresh and seasoned nicely. Side note: I do find it odd that they call this dish a salad bowl when it comes in a rectangular plastic tray. But semantics aside, it was quite good. I also ordered a fountain drink and got a Coke. It was nice a crisp with a lot of carbonation. Just the way I like it. It's not as good as the exclusive Coke blend at McDonald's, but was a close second. I have had some pretty watered down Cokes at other places in recent years. The Service: There were two young gentlemen working the last time I visited, and they were both friendly and knowledgeable. They even brought our meals to our table, which was a nice touch for a fast food establishment. The Setting: It's located inside the recently revamped Yorba Linda Downtown, which has revitalized the area and made it a pleasant place to hang out. Unfortunately, on weekends, it's hard to find parking sometimes. Fortunately we came on a weekday and got parking nearby. Inside, Apola is clean and tidy with roughly enough tables and chairs for a variety of party sizes. The Conclusion: Apola offers good Mediterranean-inspired food for a reasonable price (compared to other restaurants these days) -- just don't expect it to be 100% authentic Greek food. It's not perfect and not super cheap, but with the right expectations set, I plan to return on semi-regular basis.

Although some people may see the price tags and wince, they do not skimp on portions. They will fill your plate to the absolute brim, give you one huge pita, and send you on your way. The flavors on the food are nothing to scoff at either. The hummus, tabbouleh, and beef skewer are absolute hits. Flavorful bites with the perfect amount of balance between the acidity of the tabbouleh, the light and rich hummus, and the meatiness of the beef. The shrimp skewer is tasty as well but not something I think I'd get again. The rice pairs well with everything, and as I've mentioned before, the humongous pita they give you is delicious as well.
