This place gave me similar vibes to Kebab Shop, although I'll admit Kebab Shop wins a point for the tortilla/wrap itself since theirs is softer and chewier. Here, the wrap was more toasted and a little harder, but still good. The food was delicious and fresh. The fries were super crispy and savory, especially with their orange sauce. I loved the mix of textures and flavors - crispy fries, crunchy fresh diced veggies, creamy sauce, and the acidity from the pickled toppings. That flavor profile is totally up my alley. The wrap also tasted very fresh, and the green sauce was delicious with a nice kick. The restaurant itself felt clean, and the girl at the register with the fun caterpillar earrings was super friendly and pleasant. Was soooo excited to hear Spitz was opening up a location here! I first tried Spitz at their Studio City location back when I frequented Universal Studios often. I LOVED that place. Their street cart fries and street cart doner wrap were so good. 10 years later, here I am having Spitz again at their Placentia location. This location has the same funky, eclectic vibes. Board games are available for use by patrons. Everyone was friendly. Food was as good as I remember it, though I will say, the street cart doner wrap seemed like it was lacking in sauce and was a bit dry... might have to purchase extra sauce on the side, unfortunately. I do recommend getting the street cart fries, you won't regret it. I stuck with original potato fries and added protein (beef/lamb) on top, but they do offer sweet potato fries to as a substitute. Prices are reasonable. My only complaint here is the wait time. It seems like it's intended to be a fast casual restaurant, and you pay at the register first then wait at a table of your choice for your food to be brought out. However, we waited a good 20-25 minutes for our to-go order to come out. It was a Friday night around 7pm and the place was about half empty, at first. By the time we left, there was a decent wait at the register but no one staffing the register as they seemed busy with the back kitchen or delivering food to the waiting tables. I asked the owner the first time what was his favorite and I ended up getting it all 3 times. My aunts also got the same thing each time: the wings, the sweet potato fries, the Greek salad, the cucumber limeade and the cinnamon sugar pita strips. You will leave stuffed and sooo satisfied! Owing to my love of the Mediterranean diaspora and their extraordinary cuisine, I cannot in all honesty call the Spitz gyro the best in the business. Doner G gives you more protein and the quality of their bread surpasses Spitz. I'd stipulate that Spitz's gyros are on a par with Georgie's Mediterranean. The service was fine, to the extent that I ordered takeout and had minimal interaction w/ the young lady behind the counter. Like its namesake Olympian, Mark Spitz, who swept all seven swim events at the 1972 Summer Games in Munich, Spitz deserves a GOLD MEDAL for having what is most assuredly the coolest restaurant restroom, ever! (5/5) **Medi Bowl (Chicken): This bowl already comes with tzatziki and they also provided an extra little sauce cup of it on the side for you sauce lovers. Very fresh and delicious! (5/5) **Sweet Potato Fries: I generally don't order sweet potato fries but this was easily the best I've ever had. It wasn't overly seasoned at all and the flavor was amazing. It was just okay. The small portion size for the meat matches the lower price compared to other restaurants. Wouldn't call this anywhere near Mediterranean like they claim. They practically smash up their tomatoes, which made my bowl watery and unappetizing. The fried garbanzos were hit or miss. Some tasted good, while others tasted like dirty fryer oil. My boyfriend found pita bread in his fries, which would aggravate someone with a gluten allergy, so cross contamination is happening in the kitchen. Prior to visiting, I emailed corporate asking for an allergen list or list of ingredients at least. My email was ignored, as it's been 3 weeks with no reply. I have allergies and food sensitivities, which makes me afraid to dine at restaurants that are secretive like this. I took a risk and went anyway, which I won't be doing again. Creative Mediterranean wraps in a brightly lit, fast casual dining atmosphere. I first tried Spitz about 15 years ago at their Little Tokyo location which I think was their first SoCal location. Street Card Doner (garlic aioli, fried lavash chips, romaine, cabbage, tomato, onion, green pepper, cucumber, tzatziki) - I went with chicken for my protein. At first I thought there wasn't much meat in the wrap but as I got into it evened out much better. Good flavor and the fried lavash chips added some chomp to the wrap. They have seven or eight different sauces and they are all complimentary. Just ask the staff and they will bring out cups of them for you. The wrap is medium size and I would get it again, but I am not opposed to trying a different wrap next time. Fried Pita Strips w/ Hummus - I ordered the large size and it was huge! About 15 thick cut pita bread slices, fried until crispy, basted with some oil and parsley. Comes with a couple of cups of hummus for dipping. It could use a little more hummus to go with all of the pita (easily shareable between four people). You get a lot of bang for your buck on this one and everyone will love it. Highly recommended. If the menu choices seem overwhelming, the staff is very helpful with that. They are friendly and checked on me a couple of times to see if I need more sauces or anything else. It's a good place to take your family or some friends for some reasonably priced Mediterranean wraps! read more

Spitz is located on the corner of Kraemer and Yorba Linda Blvd. It is easy to spot and access. Parking is plentiful. The inside is clean and nicely arranged. Seating ranges from booths to free-standing high and standard tables to counter/bar seats. They also have a cute corner that is stocked with a variety of board games, so they make it fun and easy to just hang out a while. There are both front and back outside areas that have additional seating. Orders are placed at the counter/register right as you walk in. The gal at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. She also delivered our food to the table and was mindfully checking in us to see if we needed anything. Soft drink and water are from a serve yourself fountain. It was nice to have a choice of 2 diet sodas: Coke Zero and Diet Dr Pepper. The water dispenser has lemon/lime infused water. I wanted to try something different today, so I ordered the Street Cart wrap. It's got A LOT going on! Wrapped in lavash, it's got cabbage, cukes, tomatoes, onions, crispy lavash strips, choice of protein (I chose beef & lamb), garlic aioli, and tzatziki. It seemed like each bite was different from the last. Personally, it was a little too much for me. Although I like all the components individually, all wrapped together, I just couldn't enjoy it.
