The food here is average, at best. With 4.6 Stars, I was expecting a pretty spectacular sandwich. When I'm trying a new sandwich place, I want it to be on par with something like Jersey Mike's, perhaps a little bit different, but just really satisfying. This place isn't even on par with Subway, although that is a pretty close comparison. Considering how readily available coupons are for Subway, I likely would have spent close to half of the $50 that I spent here at lunch for three people. I entered the restaurant at noon on a Monday and there was one person waiting for their order. When I figured out what I wanted, I went to the counter and, even though there was no one behind me, The cashier seemed frantically hurried. As if speed talking, he asked if I wanted everything on my Italian sandwich and what kind of bread, to which I replied yes and that I would like it on a white hoagie roll. He quickly asked me what the second sandwich would be, to which I replied, " I we'll have the lunch special number two." That special was tuna, but he said ham and cheese. Then the phone rang and he held his finger up while he answered the phone and took that person's order. When he came back to me after hanging up the phone, continued with ham and cheese and I had to correct him with tuna. At this point, there was one person behind me in line and I'm sure there was some kind of lunch rush coming soon, but I still couldn't understand why he was so frantic with my order. I rushed along with him to my final sandwich, meatball and made two of them, a meal with chips and a drink and ordered a side of macaroni salad. The place itself is large, but the ambiance is that of a high school cafeteria. My order was ready pretty quickly, but when I looked down at the order, I realized that he had not asked me if I wanted everything on my second and third sandwiches, nor had he asked what kind of bread I want it. As it turned out, I would have much preferred my tuna sandwich to be on squaw then on a regular hoagie roll, but oh well. When I cracked, open the macaroni salad and tasted it while I was driving, was immediately off. In some way. There was a tingling sensation in my mouth, almost as if it had gone bad, and the flavor was just wrong, almost as if they had to use something like miracle whip instead of mayonnaise? Anyway, I got home and sat down with my wife and daughter to have lunch. My wife tasted the macaroni salad and immediately to have the same reaction that I did. The sandwiches were fine and we finished them, but they were not exciting in the least. I don't know who is doing the ratings on Yelp for this restaurant, but I feel like I was duped into thinking I was trying a really exceptional sandwich shop, but it turned out to be mediocre (maybe even less so.) read more

First time trying Sandwich Plus. The people working there were very nice and pleasant, and their restaurant looks and smells clean. We tried the Regular sized Italian sandwich and the Regular sized meatball sandwich, both To Go. They were very quick with preparation and we were on our way. We both loved the size of the sandwich. Really appreciated the fact they weren't huge monsters, but rather a reasonable size. If you're looking for huge sandwiches, youll want to order the large size. For us, the regular size was perfect. Both sandwiches were good (not great). The meatballs were tasty and the sauce was very good. On the Italian, the cold cuts were of very high quality and delicious, and the veggies were all very fresh, crisp and flavorful. Our only disappointment was with the roll. In our opinion, a sandwich lives and dies by its bread and rolls. The rolls on both sandwiches were rather generic and just OK. Really too bad as everything else was tasty. Wow for a little mom & pop shop they really get orders out quick (and during lunch hour). Came in around 12:40 PM today and there were two others in line. Perfect that gave me time to look over the menu, I decide to order the turkey + avocado on French roll & my husband the meatball sub on wheat bread + potato salad (both regular) . An older gentleman took our order and was very helpful with questions about the menu. We waited maybe 5 minutes for our order, I would definitely say order the larger size if you are really hungry. But for us the portion of the regular were great and we got full. The quality of the ingredients is what I loved because everything was fresh, my avocado, the lettuce, the deli meat. It was sooo good! I would say the only thing it could use for me is some salt and pepper and maybe some olive oil. But that's just my preference, it was fantastic without it as well. I did notice they give out the small banana peppers if you'd like to add some spice. The potato salad was good though nothing too spectacular about it, I would maybe try the soup next time. 2 regular subs, 1 vitamin water, and potato salad came out to $29, not too bad for the portions and quality. We have driven by this place many times over the years...if you want a great sandwich from a clean, affordable and support a small business this is the place! my beautiful bride wanted a sandwich so we gave it a try. We ordered 3 sandwiches to go. All sandwiches were neatly put together and delicious. I ordered the #1 Special today which came on a French roll with roast beef, turkey, salami and provolone. The special is a half sandwich and comes with soup or chips and a fountain soft drink. My wife had the full size ham, turkey and bacon and a French roll. It was very good. Our daughter had the large beef dip with cheese. The large sandwiches are only a couple more than a small and a great deal for sharing or an extra meal later in the day. This is a definite Mom & Pop shop! Pop is taking orders and Mom is making them I ordered a large Tuna in Squaw (I love the political incorrectness here. Love this small sandwich shop. Very kind owner and quality sandwiches made with fresh ingredients. I enjoy coming here and love that they offer squaw bread and alfalfa sprouts. The large size sandwich is one and half sandwiches of squaw bread. The turkey and bacon with avocado was delicious and the bacon was very crunchy. My hubby loved his on a wheat roll. The sandwiches come with pickles, lettuce and tomatoes, and mayo. We paid extra to add the sprouts and the gave us a generous portion too. They have a selection of drinks in a cooler and fountain too. Their potato salad was also tasty and I appreciated that it did not have onions in it. Just a standard sandwich. Great friendly customer service but nothing special about the sandwich. I had a "regular" size #2 Italian Cold Cuts on a French roll. Decent amount of meat but for the size and taste, for $11 I'd rather get the same size at Jersey Mike's for a few bucks less. But this is definitely a worthwhile place to stop in if you're nearby and just need a quick grab & go bite. Lots of seating area inside if you have the time to chill here.
