Delicious Food, But the Menu Needs Better ExplanationThis was our first time here for breakfast, and we managed to beat the morning rush by arriving right when it was quiet. The restaurant looks great, but the menu layout is a bit confusing. It lists extra proteins (ranging from $2.00 to $3.50) at the top of sections, which made it hard to tell what was already included in dishes like the Huevos Rancheros bowl. I wanted to add avocado, but I did not get it on my dish (though I also wasn't charged for it). My wife ordered the tacos, which naturally came with avocado even though the menu didn't explicitly say so. When we asked about it later, we found out she was mistakenly charged for an extra side of avocado she didn't actually need.Despite the confusion with the ordering process, the food itself was fantastic and very filling. I would personally prefer a little less rice and a bit more black beans in the bowl, but the flavors were great and we left very satisfied. We will definitely give it another try. Hopefully, they can find a way to make the menu clearer in the future, or just train staff to explain the protein and avocado options more clearly upfront! read more

This is your standard fast casual spot. You order up front, grab a number, and the crew drops it off for you. Simple enough. I will say though, the team here were incredibly kind and pleasant. Always smiling and definitely made me feel welcome. From the cashier to the person who dropped my food, everyone was super sweet. I'm a huge lover of customer service, and that's the kind of thing that'll keep me coming back. Food was great! I ordered the Miso salad and it was delicious. Fresh spring mix with chicken and other fixings. Since it was my first time at Green Tomato Grill, I was offered a free side and chose the tomato soup. So good, fresh and warm (it was a gloomy and cold day so it really hit the spot). I added one of the refreshers drinks which was super tasty as well. Great experience over at Green Tomato Grill! It's not that the bowl was of poor quality, but it just tasted very bland. Granted, it could've just been the nature of the bowl I ordered. Visited again to meal prep for the week. They have a new Summer menu, so I was excited to try out their new food items. The workers are attentive, quick, & efficient. I appreciate them bringing the food out directly to me, despite whether I was sitting inside or outside. They were still able to find me lol. Food & drinks: I spread out each food item throughout the week. Even after leaving them in the fridge for a couple days, it still tasted bomb! 1. Watermelon Mint Lemonade - I got this drink last time, and I really enjoyed it. Still refreshing and minty as I remembered. 2. Pineapple Berry Lemonade - I also really enjoyed this drink. It was fruity and refreshing. Perfect for the summer days. 3. Matcha Latte - I thought this drink was okay. I personally prefer a strong matcha taste. This was mixed with oat milk, almond milk, coconut milk, & organic agave. Definitely creamy from all the milks, but it didn't feel too heavy. 4. BBQ Shrimp Melt - Wow these were bigger than expected lol. There was a generous amount of shrimps filled with vegetables. The grilled flatbread made it more fulfilling. Everything was grilled to perfection! So good! 5. BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad - The salad was fresh and paired well with the BBQ ranch dressing. There were lots of protein and toppings. 6. The flavors were good, but the bowl wasn't filled all the way, so I felt a little skimped on the portion, especially for the price. Wouldn't order it again. Now, the real reason I'm writing this review: the horchata. It is hands down the best non-dairy, vegan horchata I've ever had. The ones at places like Gracias Madre and Borreguitas are more watery. This one has that perfect creamy consistency I crave when I think of horchata. If they could just boost the cinnamon flavor a bit more, it would be absolute perfection.
