UPDATE! I'm thrilled to share that after my post, the owner of Rekindle, Rebecca, reached out to me and has been absolutely wonderful. It's not often today for the owner of a business to reach out directly to a customer - she did and it was a very positive engagement. There are time that even the best business has a hiccup and something goes wrong. What makes a huge difference is how the business responds, and therefore, Rekindle gets five stars. I'm certain my next visit will be fantastic - I'll be posting an update in the near future. Wow - So Disappointed! Rekindle was at the Taste of Orange this year and I enjoyed one of the Italian sandwich samples they were handing out. It was fantastic! We met the owner - she was very charismatic and charming. Today we stopped by to grab an Italian sandwich, and I just cannot believe they served me bread that was so old and dry - it would have been perfect for croutons, but definitely nothing like what we had at the Taste of Orange. The bread was so dry I had to dress it up with some olive relish to eat it - I don't expect when I pay $31 for a sandwich and chai iced tea latte to get home and have to start working on my sandwich. We came here around 6:40am this morning and we're graced by all the fabulous Halloween decor! The pastries also are Halloween theme, which was pleasant to see. This review is mostly about the quality of our drinks. I ordered an iced dark roast and my boyfriend ordered an iced medium roast. I told the employee my name is Juna, and spelled it out twice. She put my name down as "Gina". Sad. The iced coffees were the most diluted coffees we have ever had in awhile. One look at it and I knew it was watered down. Long time customer, first time reviewer. They have so many latte flavors. My most favorite is English Toffee. Their drinks are a little on the pricey side - $8 for an iced latte. I used to love their Blueberry Twist and get it almost every visit, but my most recent one wasn't quite as good as I remember. It wasn't crispy or delicious. My son and I were on the hunt for a local, non-Starbucks coffee shop when we stumbled across Rekindle Coffee. As a former barista and someone who genuinely appreciates craft coffee, I was excited to give it a try. Immediately upon walking in, there is an overwhelming amount of choices from sandwiches and salads to pastries to coffee. There were 2 pastry cases that looked incredible, but unfortunately the pastries didn't live up to their appearance. The bear claw and blueberry twist were both surprisingly bland and lacked the rich, fresh flavor we expected. The drinks were the biggest disappointment. I ordered a decaf English Toffee Latte with vanilla cold foam and whole milk, while my son ordered The Gremlin with whole milk. When I looked at the receipt afterward, it showed both drinks were made with 2% milk, and mine had brown sugar cold foam instead of vanilla. It also tasted like there was far too much artificially flavored syrup, giving it an overly sweet taste. That explained why I couldn't finish it. I'm also not sure why they asked which milk I wanted if they weren't going to use it. One bright spot was the complimentary sample of their matcha cake--it was delicious. I ended up taking a slice home, along with a pistachio brownie, to enjoy later. I'm always searching for the perfect cup of coffee, but unfortunately Rekindle proved to be more like a fancy donut shop rather than a coffee shop. read more

The drinks were very sweet and I was not expecting that, if you like your coffee on the sweeter side this place is for you. They have pastries but we came a little later in the day so we didn't get to try any. They have a very extensive Halloween/ fall menu And That's what attracted me here in the first place. Tried this coffee shop last year during the Halloween season and was excited to try it again this year; however the experience was much different this time around. We got the poison apple latte which is a green apple and cinnamon latte and it was terrible to be quite frank. The coffee itself is very watered down and is overpowered by an artificial green apple syrup taste even after mixing it together. I've had several lattes with green apple and cinnamon flavoring before but this one missed the mark for sure. For the price ($9 each depending on what milk you choose and this is without adding a cold foam or an extra shot) I would expect a better tasting coffee. Although I'd suggest not getting this particular latte, I still suggest checking this place out for their Halloween atmosphere and bakery items. read more

Big fat yummy bagel sandwiches here. I got a ham, bacon and egg on sesame. It was made perfectly and was a generous portion. I would probably only do ham and egg next time because they use crumbled bacon that does not stay in the sandwich. Service was friendly and quick. Rekindle Caffè is such a cute, quaint little coffee shop with an amazing variety of desserts and pastries to choose from! I ordered the Witches Brew with oat milk and the Husky Buster on a plain bagel with sausage. The Witches Brew was deliciousssss and as a brown sugar shaken espresso girly who is very hard to please, it's definitely a 10/10! The Husky Buster was also really good, and trust me, it lives up to its name, it is HUSKYYYY and can definitely be shared! The ambiance and overall vibe were great. This is my favorite coffee find of 2025. I love it that they go all out and decorate for all the holidays and I had to visit to see their Christmas decorations. They did not disappoint. If you're a lover of holiday themed treats, it's a must to come here during Halloween time. It's a small unassuming coffee shop with a few bar seats inside. For spooky season they fill the space with decorations and delicious themed treats. Their display of cookies is impressive and they make them big. We had to grab a Double Chocolate Oreo ($4.95) and a Spider Cookie ($4.99). The double chocolate oreo is exactly what you would expect and perfect for an Oreo lover. The spider cookie is a peanut butter cookie with a Reese's spider on top and it was a good also. I had to get a Pumpkin Delight ($4.99) pastry and it was not only cute but tasted good. It has a pumpkin cream cheese filling and I think I also tasted apple pieces. The pastry shell itself was buttery and flaky. I would get this again. It was hard to choose which seasonal drink to try but I went with the Frankenmatcha ($7/16oz.). It's a toffee and vanilla flavored matcha with ube cold foam. The drink is cute and the server was nice enough to replace the eyes in it when they sank. Unfortunately the matcha flavor was lost in all the sweetness. Everything is freshly made here and whether you want pastries or sandwiches, you're bound to find something you like. Make sure to give this spot a try especially during Halloween. read more

I think the only thing that I don't like about Rekindle is that it isn't closer to my work. But it's my go-to when I have a little extra time in the mornings. There are a few parking spots right in front of Rekindle and a few more spots in the back of those are full. As I walked up this morning, there was a lady out front in a Zoom meeting and another group of ladies gathering for coffee and company. I absolutely love both of those. So there is outdoor seating as well as a few seats inside. Rekindle is NEVER lacking in the pastry, goodie, and cookie department. They offer a wide assortment of bagels. I've had the cheese, cheese and bacon, churro, and bruschetta...all toasted with cream cheese and cut in half because they are the perfect sharing size...or enough for the next day. And I can't seem to escape there without a GIANT cookie in hand. My go-to is the PB cup cookie but today I was feeling more festive and opted for the caramel pecan. I was not disappointed at all. I also saw one with Craisins so I may have to take a trip back for tasting purposes of course. Their holiday menu is out and I'm not gonna lie, I wanted to try everything on the menu. However I opted to mash a few together and ordered a iced gingerbread latte with oat milk and toasted marshmallow cold foam. Greeted by a young cashier female- no hello or acknowledgement until I said hello first. Already not off to a good first time experience. Decided to try the Strawberry Matcha iced latte. The cashier asked what size. I decided on the medium size of 24oz, but asked for light ice. Was then asked what kind of milk. I asked if they had whole milk. She then stop, sighed and looked confused and then asked if 2% milk was ok. I said that was fine. Also bought a slice of lemon dessert square-very tart in taste but it was good. The Strawberry Matcha iced latte was listed as being used with ceremonial grade Matcha. The entire drink was so over powered with the milk I couldn't taste strawberry or the Matcha. Then later learned from the receipt that there's a $.50 up charge for lite ice...really??? The drink in total came out to $8+ The inside of the store was decorated for the upcoming Halloween season. Counter style chairs if you wanted to eat or divulge inside but it was very stuffy and warm to do so. About 4 tables outside which is nice on a nice day like it was today. They're very kind here but I don't know what happened. I really didn't enjoy my drink this time. The coffee flavor seemed to lack and was a rush of sugar to me. I wasn't a fan of the pumpkin foam. It needed some cinnamon and maybe some vanilla extract. I also didn't realize how expensive it was too. My brother got a refund for his order but I got embarrassed to get one as well. We came in here on a Saturday morning/early afternoon, right before their rush. We had a meeting here as it was recommended as a good place to talk at. The outside area would have been perfect, however the Santa Ana winds had other plans. We sat at the bar and granted, it was a little tight but it wasn't too much of a bother. We ordered a Bananas for You specialty drink and a Banana Cream Pie blended coffee. As someone who prefers it a little sweeter, the bananas for you was amazing! First I'd like to say how punctual they are in opening doors right at the time they have their time advertised. I like how this coffee- bakery spot is nearby home and it's open at the time where I can grab something quick. It's so clean inside and outside. You can smell the bread and bagels of the dough coming through when you open he door. It's nostalgic. I also enjoy the variety of drinks and food items they offer. We all love having options. Today I had orders a large Blended Banana Cream Pie. It's really large. I enjoy the flavors as it does come close resembling the taste of banana cream pies topped with these yummy crumbles. Next time I'll remember to order a small. But it's nice that the large you can definitely share with another person, or if you're not that easy, keep the entire thing to yourself. For food items, I had only ordered from their Breakfast menu, although they offer lunch items as well. Not sure if there's an exact time to begin ordering lunch during breakfast hours. The breakfast items I had ordered were an avocado toast and I asked if I can order that without the side salad, and also ordered the Husky Buster on a regular jalapeño bread and with bacon. Bottom Line Up Front: I like this place and definitely plan to return. Now that I have that out of the way, I'm gonna discuss why it's not a perfect place -- it'll seem like I dislike Rekindle Coffee. Just remember, I'm a repeat customer and plan to keep it that way. The Setting: It's not a particularly large shop, with a narrow interior and limited outdoor seating. Inside, there's a long counter with stools, maybe 8 total, with a small counter around the corner (room for maybe 2 more people). Outside there's about 3 to 4 tables. This is not the place for large groups. That's balanced by the whimsical decor and solid music. When I came on a recent Saturday morning, they were playing Depeche Mode (Gen Xers will appreciate it!). The Parking: There's a limited parking in front but it shares a larger lot with the nearby strip mall. The Drinks: For a place with "coffee" in the name, I'm actually disappointed at the java. I got the cookie butter cold foam cold brew and found the coffee itself to be too sour and acidic. After stirring the cold foam thoroughly, it made the drink more palatable (though that isn't the point of cold foam). My wife got the snickers latte and we both agreed it was way too sweet and didn't taste like a Snickers at all. In fact, it wasn't worth the empty calories so we asked if we could "trade it in" for a different drink. Fortunately, the staff there was so kind and let us have a tropical tea as a replacement; and the new drink was delicious! The Entrees: This is where it's at! I ordered the bacon avocado croissant and it was yummy! Sure, it was a little overpriced at about $15, but it was quite satisfying and came with a bag of chips. My wife ordered the keto wrap (essentially a lettuce-wrapped sandwich) that she was able to customize with her choice of protein and veggies. Not only was it tasty but it was also huge -- think Chipotle-sized burrito, but keto friendly. It also came with a bag of chips. The Dessert: I ordered the blueberry cream cheese twist, which was $5 but a decent size. It was a little too soft for my liking, but certainly satisfied my taste buds. In fact, my only regret was not having more room -- Rekindle offers a huge variety of sweets, from muffins and scones to brownies and monster-sizes cookies. The Customer Service: The staff here sealed the deal. I was ready to write them off because the coffee has never been up to par, but the folks here were so kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. They really made me feel welcomed, and that makes all the difference sometimes. The Conclusion: It's rather ironic that I don't like the coffee at this coffee shop but love the food. If you enjoy sugary drinks (think Dutch Bros or boba), you'll enjoy their coffee. But if prefer strong coffee with traditional tastes (think Vietnamese or Italian), try the tea instead and stay for the food. My true rating is 3.5 out of 5, but I'm happily rounding up because of the awesome customer service and delicious sweet and savory food. read more

Rekindle did not rekindle my love for coffee. Service was probably the best part of this experience. The coffee drinks were not. I ordered the blended snickers drink and it did not taste good. It tasted very chemically. It could be the syrups that they used. However, once we complained, they asked what drink I wanted to replace it with. I asked for the unsweetened tropical fruit tea and that was better. So that, makes me want to come back. We ordered the keto wrap. This was my first visit to Rekindle, and I came to buy bagels. Unfortunately, I have to disagree with those who think that rekindle's bagels are the best, they are NOT bagels, they are bagel-shaped rolls. Bagels must be boiled before they are baked in, which gives them that incredible crust, and that delicious chew These have not been boiled. So while they were tasty enough as bread, they didn't satisfy the need for a bagel! (As far as I'm concerned, nothing comes close to East Coast Bagels in Irvine; it's clear that I will have to drive there for all my future bagel runs.) Rekindle Coffee is such a cute little spot -- especially if you love Halloween vibes! The bagel sandwiches are so good and totally customizable. I loved that they have dry-erase boards and paper so you can easily write down your order and hand it to the cashier -- super convenient. The sandwiches are definitely a 5/5 for me. The coffee, however, can be a bit hit or miss. They tend to have a heavy hand with the creamer and not enough ice, so the drinks end up pretty warm after a few minutes. If you're into sweet coffee, you'll probably love it here. But if you prefer your coffee on the stronger side, I recommend asking for the milk on the side so you can adjust it yourself. I tried the raspberry bar, but I wish I would've seen the other side of the pastry shelves because there was so many spooky cookies. This coffee spot slaps so hard my Mom called me to ask if I was okay after she heard I went here. I walked up to Rekindle a shade after the business closed. However, the staff here is so motivated they "re-opened" for 15 minutes merely to prepare an iced mocha and a s'more iced coffee for me and my Angel GF. The coffees came out on time, and they really slaked my thirst for deep dark caffeine fiend beans. Everyone on staff conducted themselves with utmost professionalism, and a manager explained that they make most all of the scones, coffee cakes, crumbles, and pies on site. The staff member at the cash register near the baked goods gifted my GF a free blueberry crumble to try. My GF is a study in gorgeous Latin looks & charms, so this happens a lot. Sometimes I have to ask people who want to donate luxury items or high end cuisine to her cause to form a line when we go out in public.
