The long wait combined with multiple order mistakes made the experience pretty disappointing, especially since this wasn't a small or complicated order. I honestly can't remember the last time I had desserts this disappointing. We stopped by because I was craving something sweet, and I truly regret that decision. I originally wanted to try their snickerdoodle cookie, but the cashier said they were out and only had a gluten-free version. When I asked about the ingredients, she had no idea and even admitted she couldn't reach anyone to find out. That alone wasn't very reassuring. So, I decided on a regular chocolate chip cookie and a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was pulled from a bin in the back, and when I asked why, I was told they were "putting them away for the day." That explained a lot--both items were incredibly stale. The cinnamon roll in particular had such an odd, unpleasant aftertaste that I couldn't finish it. And it left a sore in my mouth. Just from one bite. For $10, it was an absolute letdown. Between the lack of knowledge about the products, the stale pastries, and the overall experience, I wouldn't recommend stopping here ever! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would give zero stars. My daughter wanted to go to this coffee place today so we went. We placed our order which consisted of three drinks, one toasted bagel with cream cheese, one cookie and a bear claw. I asked for a jalapeño cheese bagel to be toasted with cream cheese. It was not toasted and they gave me cream cheese with jalapeños, not what I asked for. We got the drinks because they told us to wait for the drinks which we did and I was told by the young man he would bring out our food. After 20 minutes went by still no food. I went in and was told "oh there's your food on the counter in a bag." And I said "the young man said he was going to bring the food out to us and we've been waiting 20 minutes". Terrible, terrible, terrible! I asked for a hot hazelnut latte, worst latte I've ever had. I don't think they put any hazelnut in it so I went back in and got one pump of hazelnut still horrible. My husband, daughter and I have made this our favorite spot for about a year now. These girls are really sweet and the drinks are fabulous! Oh. My. GAWWWD. This place is EFFING fabulous. What a gem my husband and I accidentally stumbled upon! We were looking for a small business coffee spot while waiting for our dog at the vet. We saw right across the street the word coffee so we came in to see what they had. Little did we know we would get such an amazing experience and QUALITY food & drink! We ordered caramel mocha cold brews and bagels with jalapeno cream cheese. Freaking EPIC. I've never had my bagel in the streets like this. The amount of cream cheese is GENEROUS to say the least. Its clear that EVERYTHING is made fresh and they have so much talent in making their breads and pastries. Some notable things I loved is that they have a 'cookie' bucket and a 'coffee bean bucket'. Simply amazing option. Im so sad we dont live close by! This place is an indulgence to say the least. Used to really enjoy coming here to get a bagel veggie sandwich for breakfast. Came in today after last having one about 4 months ago and now being told that they don't serve that til after 11am and this change happened 2 years ago. I've been getting the same veggie bagel sandwich for years and have always come before 9 am ( after dropping off my kids). Not sure what the issue is now. Walk in and be transported to a magical world of all things sweet! The store is clean and well appointed with indoor bar tables at the windows and a couple outdoor seats. Food was average yet pricey. The amount of cream cheese in the bagel is a bit ridiculous. 3/5 for the food. But here's the reason for the one star. The service/process is inefficient. 1. Cashier kept walking away from register to reorganize the order receipts on the wall. Why were they shifting every receipt over one clipboard.... One by one?!?! Also every time they walked away from register, there was no "one moment please". Just walks away mid order. 2. Y'all need a better toaster. Did I only see one toaster? Toasting queue is an issue. 3. While waiting, sandwich maker was calling for Diana and even muttered she may be outside waiting. So go outside, look, and ask right? No, just keeps calling for Diana. Diana finally got to the counter only to be told they were out of jalapeño bagels. Y'all running out of bagels at 11am Sunday? By the 25 min mark I was getting impatient and told it would take 10 more minutes (I ordered 2 pastries, 1 cookie, and one bagel, everything was already made idk why I was waiting so long). At that point I was tired of waiting and requested a refund (refund process took another 6 minutes). While waiting I over heard a staff member say she only washed her hands with water and saw staff touching bagels with bare hands. With the fall seasonal drinks in full effect I was all in with their witches brew that came with toffee and brown butter topped with pumpkin cold foam! And to pair up with my drink I got their CCO which came with bacon and avocado then carefully placed into the Three Laver Grilled Cheese! Breakfast food is my favorite so I had to order the Husky Buster since it was recommended by the worker. It came with two sausage patties, egg, cheese, and my choice of bagel. This was really reminiscent of my childhood because I would love sausage patties. The pastries here are made in-house every day and despite all the Halloween goodies they had displayed, I was really enticed by the cinnamon roll. That said, I did order from their seasonal drink menu which featured a lot of pumpkin. I got the pumpkin chai for myself and I shared some of the witches brew, which was a brown butter toffee latte with pumpkin cream cold foam. The cold foam seemed to be made from real pumpkin and not too sweet. As for the latte itself, I wasn't the biggest fan but it's okay because it wasn't my drink. I really liked the chai and savored every sip. The workers here were kind and patient, giving me a lot of recommendations while I debated on what I wanted to order. What a find!!! This is seriously one of the cutest cafes I've ever been to! The decor is super festive for the holidays and they have the most delightful selection of pastries, cheesecakes, bars, macarons, brownies and cookies I've ever seen! I had the hardest time deciding what to order because everything looked and sounded so good! I ended up trying the peach please iced tea, which was super light and refreshing with a hint of strawberry. The seasonal witch's brew was also delicious and creamy, although more on the indulgent side. The sandwiches were the biggest surprise, as we ordered both an artisan build-your-own, as well as a chicken salad croissant. To our delight, they were ENORMOUS and super filling! The chips paired really nicely with the sandwiches. Despite being so full, I couldn't resist all the sweet treats in the display cases and ended up taking home quite a haul! Both the New York style cheesecake and oreo cheesecake were sooo good - super creamy, smooth and rich! i don't actually drink coffee, but i've been on a personal mission to find the best chai latte in the area for a long time. after i found rekindle, i knew my mission was finally over. the chai latte (i get regular milk but they also have a few alternatives available) is everything i ever wanted. it's perfectly spicy and creamy and blows every other chain-store chai out of the water. as if that wasn't enough, there's also huge cases of cookies and cakes and pastries and everything your carbohydrate-loving heart could ever want. they also have bagels and croissants and more actual food too. better yet, it's all made fresh daily?! wild. in the past, i got too flustered by the amount of choices available (and i didn't even see the third giant case of treats behind the register those times either!) and just ended up grabbing a drink and leaving. however, recently my boyfriend and i had a hard couple days at work and decided that we wanted to get a little sampler platter of sweets to try out and eat over the weekend. i remembered the giant dessert cases here and suggested i pick up a few things (and a chai of course) on my way home. we came up with a list that was way too long and i stopped by to pick them up. even though the place is seriously tiny, it was festively decorated and really cute inside. there was a bit of a wait, but i wasn't in a hurry so i didn't mind -- especially when i saw it was because the person at the register was being especially kind to everyone ahead of me by asking clarifying questions, making suggestions, and just being generally really cheery and welcoming. it really made me feel like their quality of service was as important to them as their food and drinks, and i love that. when it was my turn, the lady at the register (i'm so sorry, i forgot her name!) was endlessly patient as i rattled off our list of choices. after i ordered, i took a seat at the end of the bar to wait. it couldn't have been more than five minutes before my drink and my goods were all ready, and they even tossed in a few extras that they thought we'd like! it was genuinely such a sweet thing to do, and when i got home with two giant brown boxes, my boyfriend lost his mind laughing. it was genuinely so much, it took us the better part of a week to work our way through it. our personal favorites were the chocolate muffin, the blueberry pastry, the tiramisu, and the snickerdoodle cookie, but honestly everything was great. the two seasonal cookies (i don't remember their government names, sorry!) were a bit too sweet for us, but i have no doubt that other people would love them. even though my heart wants to gate keep this place and prevent others from finding out about it, that wouldn't be fair to the owner and all the lovely people who work there. they absolutely deserve all the business, all the hype, and all the support. thank you for being a part of the community! and most of all, thank you for the best chai latte i've ever had! read more

Rekindle is one of those stops I wish I knew about way earlier when I used to live nearby! Rekindle is connected to a small strip mall that had a decent amount of parking when I arrived on a Sunday afternoon. Coming into the shop, there were some limited bar style counter seats on the inside and some tables outside. It was a bit busy when I got there as something else to be mindful of on the weekend. After looking over the menu for a bit, I ended up get a DIY sandwich, a wild cucumber tea, and a pumpkin scone. One thing I learned at the cafe was that the desserts are made in-house and think they shine as one of my favorite parts. There's a lot to choose from including cookies, pastries, and cakes. I ended up eyeing the pumpkin scone and was so glad I did. It had great flavor; not overly sweet; and was nice and crunchy on the outside/soft on the inside. Absolutely loved it. The drinks are also pretty numerous with special seasonal drinks like a witch's brew to iced teas which is what I ended up getting with less sweetener. The wild cucumber had some notes of blueberry and cucumber mixed into a black tea. It was super refreshing! Finally, the DIY sandwich had a ton of options. I mixed in turkey with chipotle sauce, pepperoncinis, and a host of veggies. Took a little long to make but was super delicious and filling when it came out. Every bite was perfection. I've also never been to a coffee shop that offers pistachio milk, and since I love pistachio, I had to try their cinnamon apple pistachio milk latte with 50% sweetness. Let's just say I downed it in 60 seconds--absolutely delicious. One thing that stood out, though, was the service. One of the cashiers was pretty unfriendly, but fortunately, she went to wash dishes, and the other cashier took over, making the experience much more pleasant. Also, I believe under the California Retail Food Code, establishments that serve food with on-site dining are required to have restrooms for customers, and this place didn't have that. I'm glad I found this place close to work, perfect for both breakfast and lunch. Cozy, warm, & well decorated. There's a standing counter inside, with the bulk of the seating being the 5-6 tables just outside in their patio. My favorite things: *Earl Grey Lavender Latte. It was nicely balanced with actual lavender leaves! *Bacon Avocado Croissant Sandwich. It was sweet and savory, provided a satisfying lunch; it came paired with choice of chips. *Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookie. I couldn't resist their giant cookies the size of your head. the 2 stars come from them having decent food and drinks. I like the blended drinks and their bagels/sandwiches are good too. what gets it such a low rating is the service. I went with some friends and they were given the wrong drinks. When my friend asked for their correct drink, the server insisted it was my friend's fault, and even asked him "what he was doing still standing there", as he was trying to make sure he got the correct order. I waited 20 minutes to receive a blended drink while order after order went up ahead of mine, and that is not unusual at this place. They also gave me the wrong bagel order. there is very little space to sit inside, but no trash cans or way to hear your order called if you choose outdoor seating. there's a list of drink flavors on one wall, that can be applied to a latte (mocha, caramel, vanilla, and some other more unusual ones too), and when someone in my group asked for a blended mocha, the cashier acted like that was a ridiculous order that didn't make sense. Apparently those flavors are ONLY for lattes. there have also been times where there are photo strips up, decorated to mention different employee's favorite beverages. things like "Sarah's favorite is the super chocolate chip surprise," but these items don't exist on the menu. is it a secret menu? what are the ingredients? allergens? after trying to get something as simple as a blended mocha and receiving blank stares and confusion, I'm not about to try and order the Starblasted Galaxy Lucky Charms Shake, because is it even real? very confusing, which a coffee shop shouldn't have to be, and the service ranges from confusing and inadequate to just plain rude. read more
