I stumbled upon Cyrano's Caffe as I dropped my fur babies off to be groomed. I'd been coming to this shopping center for years but had never noticed this super cute café before because it's tucked behind all the other shops. Once I spotted it, I was determined to come back soon, so when a friend wanted to get together for brunch I knew just the place!! The exterior of the café is very industrial looking but once you step inside it's very warm and inviting. Inside seating is pleasantly cozy with sturdy/solid wood furniture, and decor that makes you feel like you're in someone's home for a bite to eat and some good conversation. With good coffee. The smell of freshly brewed coffee ~ heavenly! The weather was really nice so we chose to sit in their back patio where they gave a handful of tables that are surrounded by so many mature trees and plants! I'd highly recommend sitting out there if the weather permits! So you order at the counter and your food is brought out to you when it's ready. I ordered the Caprese Bagel sandwich with a side of chicken sausage and a cofffee. The sandwich was satisfying and the coffee was great. I'm not sure if they usually come around to refill coffee or if you have to go up to the counter for refills, but no one came around outside offering any. I really would have enjoyed a second (and maybe even third) cup. Overall it is a cute spot, serving good food and coffee. Next time my pups get groomed I'll come back to Cyrano's while I wait for them to finish being pampered. read more

It was busy when my friend and I came in on Sunday at around 11AM. There was a line, but when we got to the cash register the cashier told us that food would take 40 minutes - the weird part was she didn't say this to the people in front of us or the people after us even though they also got 'food'. The restaurant itself is cozy and decorated with a lot of generic signs you would see from Hobby Lobby (very live laugh love). It has both indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. I got a steak and eggs, and honestly the steak was awful. I've never eaten such a dry piece of meat, it was reminiscent of what people feed their dogs for their birthday. It was supposed to be medium rare, but it was definitely well done and a low quality cut of meat. The fruit was good, sweet and in season. Bread was tightly toasted and buttered but they gave me the wrong type - it took 50+ minutes to get the food so I didn't bother telling them. The eggs were cooked well, I enjoyed them with some salt and pepper. The cashier came up to us at around 45 minutes after ordering and asked us how we wanted our eggs cooked because she hadn't asked at the beginning, and my friend and I were surprised that they hadn't started until then. Overall I don't think I plan on coming back any time soon. It's pretty close to Peter's Canyon which is a great option for a post-hike meal, but there are definitely other restaurants nearby that have better service and food. read more

Cute brunch spot after a long hike! Parking near the restaurant is limited but plenty in the plaza. There is seating both indoors and outdoors. Servers were friendly and helpful in suggesting a coffee drink for me. The Iced Spiced Chai was really good! My friends and I enjoyed our food. For the price we paid, it was delicious. I ordered the California Bagel with over-easy eggs (replacing the bacon for sausages). It was yummy, and I love that I can have my eggs any way. Free refill on iced coffee was a hit with my friends. Super cute little Café with great outdoor seating to enjoy the weather and sunshine. It's like a deli coffee shop mix. The coffee prices are phenomenal for OC. The food is good. I love the California burrito and the salsa. The one caveat with this place is that even when I go and it's not busy, (3 customers total in the whole place) they will always tell me that the food is gonna take 30+ minutes. So when you go, be prepared to sit down and enjoy the conversations, coffee and food. read more

Have had the chance to try Cyrano's twice in the past two weeks. Overall, it is a great breakfast/brunch spot. First, the setting is nice. It is tucked in the back corner of a shopping center, situated so it is somewhat isolated from the main parking lot. It is up against a nice, treed hill, so it is really pleasant to sit outside. Second, the service staff are great. Very pleasant and helpful. They definitely treat you well. Third, the coffee and food were very good. I like a good drip coffee in the morning and theirs delivered. I had omelets with a great fruit cup and toast. Well prepared, overall a solid breakfast. I will definitely by going to Cyrano's more often. read more

I ordered chorizo and eggs with hash browns for delivery via door dash. The scrambled eggs were way overdone and the chorizo was large chunks that were very dry. I would say the eggs were slightly less than average. The hash browns had no crisp at all and felt a little wet which may have been because the eggs and hash browns were enclosed in a plastic container so I imagine the heat caused steam inside which settled on the hash browns. The delivered food as only average and I wouldnt have it again by delivery. Maybe having it at the cafe would be better read more

Hidden Gem for a Solid Family Breakfast + Points Bonus! What a cute little breakfast spot tucked away in the back of a shopping plaza! We were heading back up to NorCal and needed a good old American breakfast with the fam--and this place totally hit the spot. Parking is tight, but we lucked out with a front row spot. The ambience has this old-school charm, super cozy and welcoming. We came on a Sunday around 9 AM and managed to snag a table for 8 (indoors!) even though the place is pretty small. They do have outdoor seating, but with the weather calling for indoor comfort, we were grateful for the timing. You order at the counter and seat yourself, and best of all--the food came out fast, which is a huge win when you've got two kids under 4 years old. I got the açaí bowl, and it was delicious--so refreshing and beautifully presented. My daughters shared the American breakfast with pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs, and it was the perfect portion for the two of them. My sister ordered the California burrito and loved it--especially with that house salsa that really brought it all together. To top it all off? This spot is on Rakuten, so with in-store dining + Amex Gold, we racked up 9X the points and walked away with 1,000 points just for breakfast. Great food, fast service, kid-friendly, and points? This was one of my favorite places to dine for breakfast and lunch. Usually upon ordering the wait is about 15 minutes, this time it was an hour. After waiting 40 minutes we figured something wasn't right and went inside to check on the food. The waitress didn't seem concerned and said she'd "check on that" and then left. There was one maybe two other diners, Cyrano's definitely was not busy in the slightest. After waiting another 20ish minutes, the food finally came. The waitress never apologized about the wait and no compensation was offered. I understand mistakes happen and food gets forgotten, but the fact that a sorry was not said even once is upsetting. Considering how empty the restaurant was, there was no need for an hour and a half wait for food. This lack of good service and communication has made this my final Cyrano's visit. read more

Walk-up and order counter with mouth-watering Americana food items and variety of cold and hot coffee/tea and smoothie options. Service was very friendly and quite informative. The Greek omelette with feta cheese, fresh fruit, and pink passion tea hit the spot. My friend had the eggs Florentine, which was delicious as well, though the hollandaise was a bit too salty. Man... I've probably been to this place 15 times and I just had a bad experience that has made me decide not to go back. Very disappointing. Usually the food comes out in 10-15 minutes, but we waited for an hour this time. After 30-40 minutes we figured something was wrong and went in to ask where our food was, to which the waitress replied "Let me check on that." She brought out our food 20 minutes later, didn't say sorry, didn't acknowledge that we had been waiting for an hour. The place was empty except for us and 2 other diners. I get accidents happen, it was just the fact that the waitress did not apologize or notice us waiting for an hour. I wish we were offered some sort of refund. The food seemed a little underdone because they were probably rushing to get it out once they realized we had been waiting. This was one of my favorite places to get food, but I will not be coming back because of this experience. read more

Good customer service, all the ladys serving and taking our orders were very kind and friendly. Once you go in, you go the cashier and order, then you find a seat and they'll bring the food to you. The food was really good. I had the California Omelette, and it tasted fresh and it was full of flavor. They have a good variety on drinks and on food choices. Ambiance inside the restaurant was nice, not too quite, not too noisy. It was a good experience here. We were a party of 3, we could talk without having to yell. Parking can be a bit hectic. I also had an amazing Orange Julius--refreshing and nostalgic in the best way. We brought our two brand-new four-week-old puppies in a stroller, and they didn't make a sound. I love this spot. I come here between classes, and it's definitely well liked. The staff are super friendly, you can tell they have regulars. It's not too crowded, it's got a cozy atmosphere. The tables inside are large enough to study if needed, and they have a back patio with outside seating if you'd like some sun & fresh air. The food is well priced, a good variety, with decent portions. I love that they have breakfast available for most of the day. I ordered hollandaise on the side once, expecting it to be something quick since most places use powder or have it pre made, but they made it to order. When I need a caffeine fix I love the spiced dirty chai latte. I'm Indian - I know what real chai tastes like. Of all the coffee spots I've been to, this place has probably been the most impressive. My family came here for the first time this morning after a neighboring restaurant was busy. It was busy here too and I genuinely felt bad for the staff. The woman handling the register was doing her best to manage the crowd, and was friendly at the register, even gave us free coffee for the wait. I checked on our to-go food the first time after about 20 minutes, and was told it would be taken to our table. After another 20 minutes I politely checked on our food again, and was told "it will be ready when it's ready" and "it was an hour wait from when you ordered." I get it. The crowds were probably more than what they were staffed for. A "hey, we apologize we received an unanticipated rush today and were backed up. We apologize for the wait." and I wouldn't be leaving a review. The "it will be ready when it's ready" comment was the tipping point. We won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

Terrible service, forgot my order twice. Ordered avocado toast. Waited 25 minutes, asked about the status and they forgot my order. Went back 10 minutes later and still no food. I asked how long and they said 25 minutes. I told the big guy I've already been waiting 25 minutes and he responded "well then you have to wait another 25".
